FIRST TURN
Peter Olliviere , PresidentThis month marks the 23rd year that I have been part of the Porsche Club of America. When I think about it, I have come to realize that this is the second longest time that I have belonged to any organization in my life. The only organization that I have been associated with longer, is my church. At 23 years I am far from being the longest PCA member. We have members who exceed 50 years of membership in this club and are still active and going strong. It was a wonderful thing when I realized that many of my personal friends also belong to this club. I sometimes wonder which came first, the club or the friendship.
I guess we are drawn together by a common interest in Porsches, and that leads to friendships that last for years.
When new members join, they have no idea of the rich heritage that this club has, nor do they have any idea of what will attract them the most. It is our job as members that have been around for awhile to take new members under our wing and introduce them to the wonderful things that the club has to offer. Remember, it’s not the cars, it’s the people. As for me, I’m looking forward to my next 23 years.
Talking about things to do, September has a load of activities that should spike your interest. September 9 is Autocross at Sebring Raceway, September 16 will be our first Driver’s Education session in two years at Homestead Raceway. September 30 is the Swap Meet and Tech Session at TR3. All the details for these activities can be found on Clubregistration.org or PCA.org. Remember that while you enjoy these activities, keep hydrated. The heat we have been having this summer is very dangerous.
SHIFT INTO SOCIAL
Article by Christy Spangler, SocialRevving Up for the Fall Season
The Labor Day Holiday weekend is the unofficial end of summer and as the summer heat begins to wane, September brings us the start of the fall season. GCR is kicking off September with Autocross and Driver’s Education. The Social Committee is planning fall events where we can enjoy socializing and driving in the more temperate temperatures with the windows down or the top open.
In the rearview mirror:
Even though August was a hot yet quiet month for social activities, we closed it out on the last weekend with the popular Escape to Sanibel event with over 300 registered from around Zone 12. Thank you to Rick Veingrad for organizing this event, the Escape committee, Peter Olliviere and Ian Gerada, the GCR volunteers that helped out, the Everglades Region, and to the sponsors, Porsche Fort Myers, Foreign Affairs Motorwerks, and Connectica Digital Marketing.
Photos by Gonzalo ReinosaAs we pass through September:
If you would like to enjoy a day at the track, we have two great opportunities for you. You can sign up to participate, volunteer, or just come and spectate and hang out with fellow PCA members. At the end of September, there will be a Swap Meet and Tech Session with an opportunity to socialize and share stories from the time at the track - perhaps you may find that needed part for your Porsche.
September 9 - Autocross Event #6 at Sebring International Raceway, Sebring, FL
September 16 - DE at HomesteadMiami Speedway in Homestead, FL September 30 - Swap Meet and Tech Session at TR3 Performance in Davie, FL
On the horizon:
October 14 - Save the date for Oktoberfest
October 19-22 - North Carolina Tour
The Social Committee is continuing to work on events, so stay tuned for updates and announcements about these events via the “enews” emails. You can also check the calendar on the GCR website at goldcoastregion. org/calendar, or go to clubregistration. net for events and updates.
PCA and GCR are fueled by volunteers: we could not do all the things we do without our volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering or have an idea for something fun, please contact the members of the Social Committee at socials@goldcoastregion.org.
See you soon at an upcoming event!
There was a great turnout for the Third Thursday Social on a beautiful July evening at the picturesque Bayshore Club in Miami. Thank you to Jorge Morales for hosting this event
Remember the ride experience in your first Porsche? You may have had the same feeling as many, “Why did I wait soo long”. Well, PCA is addressing how members can get involved with the Porsche mark at an earlier age with the PCA Juniors program. Any child under the age of 18 may be registered by a current PCA member.
In late July, 16 juniors attended a class on concours judging at the Hagerty Garage and Social, Miami location. The juniors learned many skills that will be used to judge cars at our next concours event. If you have a child that qualifies for the juniors program, contact Dottie Kidd and she will help them to enrole and start enjoying the PCA program. More details can be found in the article on page ten.
We hope you enjoyed the Parade coverage in last month’s Kassette. We provided a back story on page 24 about the history of the surfboard that was on top of the 944 turbo on the cover. My wife and I were at the auction where we saw a huge act of kindness form a Gold Coast member.
September is full of PCA activities starting with and autocross at Sebring followed by Drivers Education at Homested the following weekend. This DE is very specical since we have not held a Gold Coast DE in a long time. Our members have been waiting for the program to return and it took a lot of hard work to make this a reality. Many of our friends from other regions have volunteered to help. If you are not driving but would like to help, go to
clubregistration.net and sign up as a volunteer.
After you have enjoyed our two track events, don’t miss the Swap Meet and Tech Session at TR3 Performance. I, along with many others, will be set up to sell many Porsche items. It’s been a while since we had a swap shop so come join the fun.
If you have ever worked with graphic layout and would like to help with the Kassette, please contact me. We are always looking for help in the production of our magazine.
If you are starting to plan 2024, mark down February 1- 4 for the 48 Hours at Sebring PCA club race.
Enjoy the drive

Have you got your Digital PCA Membership Card Yet?
Ian Gerada , Membership ChairGreat news! Our Digital Membership Card has arrived! As of July 25th, all primary Porsche Club of America (PCA) members now have the opportunity to switch over to this convenient new format.
Here’s what you need to know:
If you choose the Digital Membership Card, you will only receive this, not the traditional mailed one, and your choice will also apply to any Family/Affiliate Members linked to your account. Once you opt-in, we will email you with instructions to access your new digital card, a digital version of our membership brochure and info on how to get a PCA window decal. Don’t worry, you will still receive your Panorama subscription and all other communications as usual.
The Digital Membership Cards can be downloaded directly to your Apple or Android smartphone’s Digital Wallet. Your card will always be up-to-date with your membership status.
If your membership expires, your Digital Wallet will let you know. If you don’t make a choice, we will keep sending you your traditional mailed membership card.
Your new Digital Membership Card will also include a QR code for easy membership status verification. We are super excited to offer this new option, making it even easier for you to keep your membership card handy in your smartphone’s Digital Wallet. JUDGING…
Training the Next Generation of Concours Judges
On July 29th, Gold Coast region, (GCR) in conjunction with Hagerty Garage and Social in Miami, hosted a fun PCA junior event where a team of GCR volunteers showed a group of PCA Juniors how to inspect Porsches. This event was the inspiration of Dottie Kidd, GCR’s junior activity chair. Dottie was looking for an activity to engage our Juniors and train them in what to look for if they decide to get more involved in PCA concours or car shows. Never heard of PCA Juniors???? Check it out on the PCA website. It’s a big part of PCA
and provides age-appropriate activities for children of PCA members, and can include grandkids, nieces/nephews and other family members between newborn through age 18. However, most of the kids participating tend to be in the 6-16 age group. Currently, Dottie has recruited over 300 kids to be part of the GCR junior group, one of the highest numbers in all of PCA!
While the concept of the event was simple (teaching a group of PCA Juniors what to look for when
inspecting a Porsche), the logistics presented some challenges that could not have been met without the help of a great host and group of volunteers. For that, we wish to thank the following:
HOST: Hagerty Garage and Social provided a great indoor location, facility tours and great hospitality. Special thanks to Carlos, Terrance and Lester who were on site, and offered any support needed.
SHOW/DEMO CARS: Four Porsches were utilized for inspection and one was
a demo car to show the Juniors what to look for before they were turned loose to judge the four cars themselves. The five Porsches and their owners were:
• Demo Car, 718 Cayman, owner Miriam O. She let her Porsche serve as the “guinea pig” for Chief Judge Steve K. to show all junior judges what to look for, where to look and how to grade the four categories that they were to inspect: exterior, interior, wheels and storage areas.
• Lee W.’s 986 Boxster in Metallic Silver, an example of mid-engine, water cooled, 2 seat roadsters.
• Dottie K’s 944 S2 in Cobalt Blue, representing front engine, water cooled, 4-cylinder transaxle, 2+2 coupes.
• Larry S’s 964 911 Cab in PTS (paint to sample) Purple, representing air cooled, rear engine convertibles.
• Jacob H’s 991 Carrera GTS in Speed Yellow, representing one of the newest of the 911 water cooled coupes.
VOLUNTEERS: With Dottie serving as event chair and Steve as chief judge and MC, they were assisted by the parents and some notables who jumped in and did whatever was needed, including but not limited to, Lissette, Mandy, Peter, Bill and Miriam. Event pictures you will
see in this article were taken by Roger and Dave.
The event started with socializing, introductions, a facility tour and then the training component of the program. All the Juniors gathered around Miriam’s Cayman and Steve proceeded to show where judges were most likely to find dirt, imperfections and areas needing attention. The group was instructed on how to fill out the score sheet and then divided into groups of about four Juniors each. Afterwards, each group was given about 15 minutes to visit each car and hear the owner’s story about their car, judge the car, critique and fill out their score card.
Score cards would be collected and the group would rotate to the next car and repeat the process. After each group had judged all the cars and turned in the score cards, the volunteers served lunch to everyone and more socializing and facility tours were made available.
Lissette and her team tallied the score cards and the winners were announced. 1st place went to Lee and his Boxster and 2nd place went to Jacob and his 911 GTS. The Juniors presented the winners with ribbons and a set of GCR 60th anniversary wine glasses. The car presenters also received a set of these special glasses.
And finally, the most special part of all is a list of all the Juniors who came out and got a brief introduction into judging different types of Porsches: Samuel, James, Gracie, Mia, Lucas, Chanel, Sebastian, Mayva, Zoe, Brooklyn, Mila, Calvin, Dylan, Lailia, Brock and Bryce. Let’s not forget the parents who brought their kids out and encouraged them to learn more about these special cars. I should also mention that all the junior judges got special shirts and hats provided by Hagerty. Again, a big thanks to everyone involved, and cheers to another junior event in the future…....

60th Anniversary Celebration
DE — TAKING IT TO THE TRACK
Article by Mark Johnson, DE ManagerOur day on the track has finally arrived! The PCA Gold Coast Region (GCR) will hold our Driver Education (DE) event on September 16, 2023 at Homestead Miami Speedway (HMS).
Starting back in January of this year, we held three “Intro to DE” courses at Porsche West Broward. Then we held four sessions of “DE Car Inspection” at Parkhaus1 and Foreign Affairs Motorsports. These were intro courses to assist our members in preparing themselves and their Porsche for driving on a closed racetrack in a PCA organized high performance driver education event. Over 80 GCR members participated in these training events. Based on the success of these events, it was determined that we had a sufficient number of members ready and willing to move to a track-based DE.
HMS was selected for the location, and the Gold Coast Board approved the budget for the event. It will be a full day of driving with four run groups (novice/green, intermediate/blue, solo/white and instructor/black) that will take the track for this DE. The pleasure of driving your personal Porsche on a track and learning proper high-performance driving is a thrill. In fact, the June issue of Panorama (#795) offered a great look at DE’s. The article was written by Ms. Mia Walsh – PCA National DE Chairman, and Mr. Fred Peck – Metro NY Chief Track Instructor. This article “Try it. You’ll Like It” (page 90) is a wonderful look at all aspects of DE. Our Region is working to update our website to use this article as a descriptive tool for our members to introduce Driver’s Education.
It has taken a significant amount of planning, effort, negotiations, making lists, checking them twice, and untold hours to bring a quality DE day back among the Porsche Club members in our South Florida Gold Coast Region. We have a great crew of planners and an even better crew of drivers. We also have a dedicated group of volunteers who will work to make the day a “WIN” for everyone. We have room for a few more solo drivers (white run group) and have the ability to add more novice (green) and intermediate (blue) drivers provided we obtain additional instructors. Instructors are the key!
We are fortunate. Throughout all our planning and preparations, we have been blessed to have had the assistance and advice of Ms. Denise Remus – Region President & recent past DE Registrar for the Suncoast Region events at Sebring. Denise and her husband Pat will instruct for us at Homestead. TYVM! We have also had substantial support and input from Ms. Mia Walsh of PCA National DE. In fact, Mia will be a special guest for the Homestead event on September 16th . PCA National President, Mr. Aaron Ambrosino suggested that Mia “fly down there”. With the blessing of her husband Mia will be heading our way. Mr. Walsh will be driving in the Potomac Region DE that weekend. Mia has skipped that event to join us!!!
WE STILL NEED INSTRUCTORS
If you are a PCA National Instructor, Please register for the GCR DE at HMS…
Registration is open at ClubRegistration.net. A direct link for the event is: https://bit.ly/gcrde23 Thanks to everyone for signing up and coming out to the track. FINDING GOLD
Pedro Tronge, aka Drola, Mr. Cafecito
He is a man of exceptional talent, especially when it comes to Cafecito and Porsche…
Member Feature by Mark JohnsonDrola - Mr. Cafecito (Pedro Tronge) is a virtual legend in the South Florida Porsche community. If you happen to be anywhere and he is in attendance, out comes the cafecito tools. Mr. Cafecito pulls out finely ground coffee, sugar, a propane burner, a small brew pot and other essentials. Those friends in attendance wait with incredible patience for the high powered treat to be poured into small cups for instant enjoyment. The dark sweet liquid is akin to rocket fuel: highly caffeinated and certain to please. It is a great show, and the brewing occurs frequently wherever Drola travels.
If you are fortunate enough to be around when this treat is prepared and consumed, you might think this is Pedro’s only talent. You would be totally wrong.
Pedro has been a Gold Coast Region PCA member since 2004 when he purchased his first Porsche. This was a 1984 911 Targa in slate blue metallic with 190,000 miles on the odometer. He went to many track days, autocross events and took multiple road trips in this Porsche. He also performed all of his own maintenance and repair on the vehicle. Drola became a self-taught expert on Porsche.
Drive, track and doing the cones, Pedro has participated in, “way more (events) than I could ever remember”. Driving his Porsche is every bit as much fun as consuming his favorite beverage.
It wasn’t always cars though. Pedro began his career as a landlord. His ownership and management skills in apartment rentals was reasonably lucrative, but did not provide the long term personal satisfaction that makes everything enjoyable. As a landlord,
there are decent financial returns but many issues to deal with such as broken air conditioners, refrigerators, washer/dryers, past due rents and perhaps even an unsavory tenant. He was successful at this profession but not content. It was work and income, but it was also far from being personally rewarding!
Magic occurs everywhere.
His sideline skill while in property ownership and management was flipping! That is, he was buying and selling motorcycles, boats, ATVs and anything he could get his hands on to acquire them, then sell for a profit. It was a great side hustle that offered much less hassle than dealing with rental and property ownership issues. Besides the boats and motorcycles, he had also been flipping automobiles, of course.
Recognizing a better opportunity, the properties were sold in 2020 and Pedro acquired an automobile dealer license so he could legally purchase and sell cars in an increased volume. In total, he’s been flipping cars for twenty years. The experience was rewarding in multiple ways and has become his sole business. The growth in Porsche financial value and desirability over the past three years has contributed substantially to this success.
Today, Drola operates his personal Porsche shop. He finds quality Porsche vehicles through various resources, regular vehicle auctions, salvage auctions, friend’s referrals and via word-of-mouth connections. These vehicles are brought to Drola’s Garage where he personally repairs each unit for resale to interested parties.
Pedro is a do-it-yourself (DIY) Porsche guy who is not afraid to take on jobs that others would generally avoid. He has a YouTube channel, Drolas Garage, with roughly 2,000 subscribers. He makes videos of his DIY adventures with the Porsches that he buys and sells, and with projects on his own cars. (link: http://www.youtube.com/@ drolasgarage632)
Currently, in his personal collection are a 1965 912, a 1990 911 C2 (964), a 2007 GT3 and a 2002 Boxster S. Pedro prefers his Porsches with tasteful modifications of his personal choice and desire. The 912 has an upgraded engine, exhaust and shifter. The
Boxster has been treated to a modified suspension, engine intake and a short shifter. The GT3 called for exhaust and suspension mods. Then the 911 964 has been given the royal treatment. Pedro has gone through this entire car himself and subjected the vehicle to more modifications than he can count or remember. It is quite the machine.
Pedro also admits to owning a 1973 BMW 2002. He has had this vehicle longer than the 964 and he has done lots of work to it as well. He has owned the 2002 longer than any other vehicle in his life, with the 964 being a close second, as keepers go.
In several YouTube videos, Pedro took viewers through his process to sort his 2002 Boxster. It was originally acquired from a salvage sale. The damage was sufficient for the insurance company to total the car, yet minor enough for the vehicle to be repaired and put back on the road. Once roadworthy, other issues appeared: overheating for one, and the process to find and fix this opportunity became a couple of additional videos. If you own a Porsche Boxster that overheats, these videos walk you through the process to correct the issue; valuable information for any DIYer.
There are roughly 130+ videos in the Drolas Garage library with over 190K views. The site is a great resource as these videos cover a wide subject matter. Recent videos from the garage deal with a 911 Safari build that Drola is completing. Safari Porsche builds are in demand. Timing of these videos and the efforts to complete the build are valuable to many.
Mr. Cafecito is originally from Argentina. He has been in a long term relationship with partner Barbie for twenty-nine years. Children were not on the to-do list, but they have a great “child” in their English Bulldog named Ava. Ava is generally not seen at track or autocross events, but she will frequently accompany Pedro to local gatherings to visit with the many friends he has in the local community. Ava will be on a leash, but even without one, she would not be expected to leave Pedro’s side. She is very, very loyal.
Pedro is involved. He loves to get on track with one or several of his cars. We expect he will participate in the upcoming GCR DE. He is also involved with multiple driving events such as Gator Crawl in North Florida, Targa Carolina multiple times and the Smokies GT in his GT3. As with many PCar buddies in the Miami area, he travels to the Appalachian Mountain areas to drive the better twisted roads on these various rallies.
Beyond these drives there are multiple social events that receive his attention. Certainly, among the biggest are DRT and Werks Reunions. Rennsport Reunions have seen his participation as well as Luft and others.
In 2022 Drola took a European trip that included the Goodwood Festival and LeMans Historics. He has been to Stuttgart for the Porsche Museum several times and has driven Die Nürburgring. He is well-traveled and enjoys the thrill of speed on a track. Perhaps he will share his elapsed time for the Ring over a fresh cafecito.
Most any Porsche event like Werks, track days, the Porsche Museum, and Die Nürburgring are worthy of his time, he’s also a fan of Porsche racing. He has not been to the 48 Hours at Sebring, the Sebring 12 Hour race, Daytona 24 Hours. Pedro sincerely appreciates the Historic Sportscar Racing (HSR) series where the classic Porsches “rip up the track”.
When not out driving he is at his garage. “Generally, I love working on my cars, spending lots of time in my shop – always taking something apart, dropping motors, fixing things.” This is modus operandi for Pedro. Daily working on his own vehicles
or repairing and reconditioning yet another Porsche purchased for resale. While a business, it is truly a pleasureful source of income when the units are sold.
Mr. Cafecito has very thoughtfully anointed his favorite Porsches of all time. His halo car for the Porsche brand is the Carrera GT. The GT is the flagship car model that brings the prestige to the brand. Alternately, in his opinion the most beautiful Porsche ever is the 904 GTS, and it would be hard to argue with that assessment. Finally, the normal man’s favorite PCar is the 964.
Pedro is known for his elixir. Perhaps at a future track event, a social gathering or just a simple drive, he will treat those close to him to a jolt of his creation. If you are lucky enough, and listen intently, you will also learn a great deal about Porsche automobiles. Pedro is all about driving them, talking about them and savoring them… over a cup of cafecito of course.
WE ARE PORSCHE
A VISIT TO THE PETERSON AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM
by Christy SpanglerThe Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California opened an exhibit called “We Are Porsche”. It is a curated display of 40 Porsches with their stories and celebrates the 75 year history of the Porsche brand and culture.
It explores the facets of the history of Porsche from its early days, its racing heritage, its appearances on screen, used as an art medium and customization. It Includes the inception of the Porsche Club of America. The way this exhibit displays the Porsches and the stories, it ties into the PCA motto: it’s not just the cars...it’s the People
The museum has displays that rotate the inventory of the Peterson collection and other curated exhibits such as “We Are Porsche”. You can also visit the museum’s Vault for an additional price where you can continue admiring the vast collection of cars from historical classics, movie vehicles, race cars, street rods and motorcycles to unusual examples.
The “We Are Porsche” exhibit runs through April 2024.
COVER BACK STORY
Pink Pig Surfboard History
by Roger FabelAfter growing up in south Florida during the peak of the Beach Boys and surfing craze, I was excited to see our cover that we selected had a Porsche with a surfboard on top.
I would like to share a short story about the journey of surfboard from the Boca Parade in 2019 to the top of Gunner Mench’s 944 at the Parade in Palm Springs in 2023.
At the end of the Boca Parade, three surfboards were auctioned for charity. Two of the boards brought a good price. There were three bidder’s that wanted the Pink Pig board. My wife and I were seated at table of one of the bidders. After a third bidder dropped out, the MC, Mark Shevitz came to our table to interview the bidder who was bidding against the owner of the Pink Pig 944. Mark asked the bidders friend what she thought and her reply was, “She’s going to get it”.... And she did!
After the auction, our member from Gold Coast went up to pay for the board. After she paid, she did not bring the board back to our table. Instead, she took the board to Gunner and presented it to him!
We have a saying in PCA that “It’s not about the CARS, it’s about the PEOPLE”. Not only are we the best car club in the world, we have the greatest members.
TECHNICAL WIZARDRY 300K
Pedro P. Bonilla, Tech EditorAs a Porsche enthusiast and proud original owner of a 1998 Boxster 986, I can confidently say that my journey with this remarkable machine has been nothing short of extraordinary. Over the past 25 years, my dedication and commitment to maintaining and cherishing my beloved Boxster, have allowed me to witness its enduring charm, exhilarating performance and unwavering reliability.
Today, I invite you to join me, as I delve into the reasons behind my decision to keep this timeless sports car on the road for over 300,000 miles.
Boxster Board (ppbb.com), I learned as much as I could on the new platform which was the first watercooled production model Porsche offered.
and balanced weight distribution in a lightweight chassis, creates an unparalleled driving experience that withstands the test of time.
Regular Maintenance
The Bond Begins
It all started with a leap of faith when I first ordered it, sight unseen, in February, 1997. The full, one-year wait allowed me to get involved in the newly formed Internet Forums. In particular, from Porsche Pete’s
From the moment I laid eyes on its sleek lines and heard the symphony in flat-6 of its engine, I knew I had found a lifelong companion. The thrill of the open road in a convertible, the incredible handling, the legendary brakes and the feeling of being one with the machine had formed an unbreakable bond between us.
To ensure the longevity and reliability of any vehicle, regular maintenance is crucial. The Porsche Boxster is no exception. Adhering to the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule, I have diligently serviced my car with meticulous care, and never compromising on the quality of parts. This unwavering commitment has played a pivotal role in preserving the Boxster’s performance and extending its lifespan.
To give you an idea, in the 25 years of ownership I have done the following:
• Changed the oil and oil filter 62 times using over 120 gallons of Mobil1 (early on, I installed a 3 quart Accusump)
Quality Engineering
Porsche’s commitment to quality engineering and attention to detail is truly remarkable. From the robust build quality, to the precision of every component, the Porsche Boxster embodies the spirit of German automotive excellence. This ability to adapt and evolve with my Boxster has deepened
Genuine Passion
Owning a Porsche Boxster is more than just owning a car; it’s a lifestyle fueled by passion. This passion is the driving force behind my dedication to keeping my beloved Boxster on the road. Whether it’s meticulously maintaining and upgrading, engaging in spirited drives through my favorite back roads, or participating in Porsche Club events, the experience is enriched by the shared enthusiasm of fellow Porsche enthusiasts.
Was it worth it?
Emotionally, it certainly has been worth it. I always joke that I’ve never needed to see a therapist because my Boxster is my therapy and I take it regularly.
Conclusion
The love story between me and my Porsche Boxster has spanned a quarter of a century and over 300,000 miles. The unwavering reliability, exhilarating performance and timeless design, have made this journey an unforgettable one. By adhering to regular maintenance, embracing the passion that comes with owning a Porsche and personalizing the driving experience, I think that I have unlocked the true potential of this remarkable sports car.
our connection and made every (s)mile a celebration.
This little Porsche has been the test bed for most of the parts that I’ve developed for my business. It’s where I get to test them and make sure that they work as advertised. I owe my current business (PedrosGarage.com) to this car!
Economically, let’s see. As I said before, I have spent approximately the same in parts and materials over the lifespan of the car as it cost me originally, totaling $100,000. $52,000 original cost plus approximately $48,000 in parts and service items. So, if we look at it by time, $100,000/25 years = $4,000 per year. That’s $333.33 per month.
If we look at it by miles driven, $100,000/300,000 miles = $0.33 per mile, and that’s half of what the IRS accepts as a standard mileage rate for transportation!
As I reflect on the countless memories, adventures, and milestones we have shared, I am grateful for the decision to keep my beloved Boxster as a faithful companion. It serves as a testament to the enduring quality of Porsche engineering, and the profound joy that can be found in the pursuit of automotive passion.
So, if you find yourself wondering whether to embark on a similar journey of longevity and love with your beloved P-car, I can assure you, that it’s a decision you won’t regret. The road may be long, but the rewards are endless, and the memories are truly priceless.

PHOTO FINISH
On Display
September’s Photo Finish was submitted by Jevon Olea, who is the proud owner of this 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera S. He uses the 997 cabriolet almost everyday… driving to work, Porsche events, music events, etc. The car has also seen 2 HPDE track days this year. While it is driven very hard, it is also well taken care of and very well maintained. This is proof that these Porsches are one of the most reliable vehicles you can enjoy driving for years and years to come.
This car was proudly displayed inside the showroom of Porsche West Broward for the entire celebration of Porsche’s 75th Anniversary.
“Being a Porsche owner and enthusiast has enabled me to meet a lot of amazing people who share the same passion for the brand.” says Jevon. He also considers himself extremely lucky and fortunate to be a part of this beautiful community.
Jevon took this photo using a Nikon Z50 Camera.
