Adaptive Recreation Programs PARENTS’ CORNER Transition Topics The Adaptive Recreation Program in partnership with AZ Assist-a support community of families with teens and young adults on the autism spectrum, have teamed up to provide a series of transition topics. Seminars are held the first Thursday of each month.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS This internationally recognized sports program is open to intellectually disabled individuals 8 years and older. Athletes must have a current physical on file with the Adaptive Recreation staff in order to participate in training and competition.
Winter/Spring Special Olympics Sports Registration Participation fee of $30 allows athletes to participate in any of the following sports: basketball, flag football, track and unified volleyball. Call (623) 773-7436 to register. Registration fees charged to participants helps cover cost or staffing and administrative services. This fee is not charged by Special Olympics Arizona.
