Is Geography for me?

Geography allows students to “travel the world from a classroom”. If you would like to guide students in exploring the world and all its wonders, then this course is for you. We are passionate about the place of Geography in the curriculum and all it has to offer here at PHSW SCITT. Geography is deeply relevant to the futures of our young people, giving them opportunities to investigate themes such as sustainability, poverty and climate. Meaningful Geography teaching also allows students to uncover and analyse the interrelationships between places, environments and processes. Inspirational Geography lessons are creative and engaging, pose challenging questions and develop a broad skill set. How can I prepare?

You will be expected to have a good level of subject specific knowledge and skills, particularly in relation to those aspects of Geography commonly studied at GCSE. It would also be beneficial to familiarise yourself with the National Curriculum at KS3 in order to identify and address gaps in knowledge or skills.
