Welcome to the Prince Henry’s and South Worcestershire SCITT prospectus which provides us with the perfect platform to showcase our School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) offer. We hope that this website will give you some insight into the way we work and what we offer, but we also hope it reveals something of the special place that Prince Henry’s and South Worcestershire SCITT is. Our provision covers the 11-16 age range with Post 16 Enhancement and 14-19 for our Business Studies course. It is a privilege indeed to be the Director of SCITT and its wider partnership of schools covering Evesham, Droitwich Ledbury and Malvern. Choosing the right route into teaching is one of the most important decisions you will need to make and as the government moves towards a more school-led system of Initial Teacher Training, we are in a position to offer outstanding training for those considering a career in teaching. I hope the information contained here will provide you with a flavour of our SCITT. We ensure at Prince Henry’s and South Worcestershire SCITT that our trainees strive for the highest standards and have a wide range of opportunities to learn effectively, both academically and socially. Since being accredited as a Provider of Initial Teacher Training in 2016, we have established a partnership with a family ethos and shared vision of Initial Teacher Training with the aim of producing outstanding practitioners for the 21st century. Trainees choosing to train with the Prince Henry’s and South Worcestershire SCITT will be trained by outstanding practitioners across a partnership of schools in the south of the county. We have an excellent completion history for our Trainees, with 100% of the cohort completing since 2017. Some comments from our former trainees are below as a testament to the hard work and professionalism of the colleagues supporting them. Many trainees from Prince Henry’s and South Worcestershire SCITT go on to achieve outstanding success in their future careers and lives. Some are employed in our partner schools or have been employed in their training school. Prince Henry’s and South Worcestershire SCITT has a great deal to offer and I am as excited as ever at the prospect of leading everyone connected with the SCITT in the drive to develop, maintain and extend its exceptional quality.
