Keep Striving To Create Possibilities FROM: DIVISION DIRECTOR DTM Milind Patwardhan Happy to hear about yet another landmark that Pimpri Toastmasters is fast approaching. My best wishes to all your members, present and past Excom, and all those who contributed to this success. Pimpri Toastmaster club is a robust Toastmasters club not just for Division C but for the entire District 98 as well.. Your club has consistently clocked 10 DCP points for the last 5 years . This is ample proof of the phenomenal success that your club has achieved on all fronts including Education awards, Membership growth, Training, and Administrative compliance. Kudos to Pimpri Toastmasters Club....... I liked the theme of the event - "Creating Possibilities". Leaders never stop and rest on their laurels, they keep striving to Create Possibilities for their team and in the process for themselves. I am sure Pimpri Toastmasters will use this opportunity to reflect on the Possibilities that it can create for Toastmasters and its own members. This could be in terms of conducting novel club meetings, panel discussions, debate sessions, book reviews etc.
Leaders Never Stop and Rest On Their Laurels, They Keep Striving To Create Possibilities 4

I congratulate PTMC on reaching the 275th milestone. You are doing a great job as a team empowering your members to become better leaders. This is all because of the strong foundation of the leadership team from the very beginning. PTMC keeps on creating new leaders amongst its members. Kudos to PTMC leaders. From President's Desk
TM Vinod Basalalli In March 2020, the first lockdown was announced and all of us were confined to our homes. Going out, and meeting people stopped and suddenly, we were forced to move into the digital medium. WFH, i.e., Work from Home, a luxury that was accorded to us as a rarity, become the norm. The initial few days of working from home were a pleasure. But over time, each one of us got overwhelmed by the entire affair. For toastmasters, virtually became the new normal and each one of us started using Zoom, Teams, and Meet for our meetings. For every toastmaster, transitioning from an in-person physical meeting to a digital meeting was a big challenge. Though challenging and difficult in the beginning, each one of us took this challenge up his/her sleeve and worked on creating possibilities around this adverse situation. As a result, we Toastmasters became better prepared at interacting with people in a virtual setting, expanded our reach and explored toastmasters meeting across the globe, and made our toastmasters' journey richer. Fast-forward to March 2022, things have improved greatly, and life is back to normal. The last two years have been a challenge for us at Pimpri Toastmasters Club. Thanks to the commitment of all past and current club members, we have not only weathered the storm but have come out of it with flying colors. Each of the club executive committees over the last two years has ensured that the club not only sustained itself

through these tough times but also thrived and helped its members become better leaders and communicators. The club had one of the highest annual renewals for the current renewal year. The club was one of the first few clubs in the district to achieve Distinguished Club status. Adding to this, PTMC is well on its way to fulfilling the requirements for Diamond Club and many of the Hall of Fame awards instituted by District 98 for the term Jul 2021 – Jun 2022. The club also supported multiple areas, division, and district initiatives with club members participating as contestants, role players, and audiences for these events. Few of our club members even finished in the top two positions at Area Contests. With life back to normal, the club is working towards getting the offline meeting started and exploring the possibility of having a hybrid meeting regularly which can help the club offer its members the best of both worlds, i.e., offline and virtual meeting experience. With life back to normal, the club is working towards getting the offline meeting started and exploring the possibility of having a hybrid meeting regularly which can help the club offer its members the best of both worlds, i.e., offline and virtual meeting experience. In summary, the last two years have been the two years of the greatest experiences, where-in we as toastmasters have learned to look at every adversity with an open mind and explore multiple avenues of creating possibilities where none existed before. Vinod Basalalli, Club President, Pimpri Toastmasters Club Term (Jan 2022 – June 2022)
Look At Every Adversity With An Open Mind And Explore Multiple Avenues Of Creating Possibilities 9
Creating Possibilities FROM: EDITOR'S DESK
TM Chetan Pathak Towards the end of the most difficult to survive pandemic, if we summarise how we managed our lives, we will realize that multiple new things and new ways were created to make difficult things possible. May it be virtual schools or a sanitizer dispenser without using hands everything had a new way. If we remember how we managed to press a button inside the lift in our residential complex without touching it, we will realize that no one taught us how to do it. We found new and different ways to manage the situations. It is our own mind, our own thoughts, and our own imagination which helped us create possibilities for survival. As a Toastmaster, we also sometimes pass through difficult situations like not being able to give time to prepare speeches or not being able to attend club meetings. Despite so many difficulties
In Difficult Times, Your Eyes May Not See Possibilities, Your Heart May Not Sense Possibilities, But There Is Something Within You Which Is Creating Possibilities......
10
Toastmasters who have continued their journey have created different ways to take out time from their busy schedules. From preparing speeches in the car using recording devices to delivering 5-7 minutes speeches impromptu everything is an effort to create possibilities.

Boundaries in our mind TM ShivKumar Vibhute 26th Jan 2021 became a memorable Republic day for me. I took a cycle ride 150 KM from Pune to Gateway of India, Mumbai overnight. This day made me think of celebrating each republic day differently. I was exploring what I could do differently for Republic Day 2022, and suddenly one of my friends called me on November 21 suggesting a Cycle Trip from Pune to Goa. I wanted something different but a million-dollar question came to my mind “Will I be able to do it?” I felt 468 KM in 3 days was a big challenge.
All Boundaries Exist Only In Our Minds & When We Cross Them, We Enjoy The Success
I was not confident but finally, I thought to stretch myself to do something different Afterward managing my daily routine h I started planning for a 468 KM Cycle trip. I started assessing amount of practice I needed to do since I have to cover average 155 KM cycling daily in 8-10 hours for 3 days. I had never challenged myself so hard in the past.
12
At last on 26th Jan 2022 I traveled my life’s longest cycling distance of 185 KM followed by 155 KM on 27th Jan & 128 KM on 28th Jan without much pain. “Practice Makes Man Perfect”. My cycling practice of 150 km/day made my actual trip easy and 468 KM travel in 3 days possible. I realized strongly that my initial thoughts were only restricting me to take up the challenge. All the boundaries exist only in our minds. They do not actually exist. We can achieve anything If we try and focus on actions rather than thoughts.
I started a daily practice of cycling 30-40 KM & on weekends 100 km/day slowly reaching 150 KM/day. I started looking forward to the trip with rigorous execution & without any excuses. I got habituated to waking up early at 4:30 AM & do cycling up to 2 PM. I practiced on different roads like Khandala ghat, Satara Road till Katraj Ghat, etc.

Build Your Credibility
From: An Industry Professional
Karan Khairnar Global Technical Consultant Manager, Ecolab India
Although I am not a Toastmaster but thought of sharing what I feel about Toastmasters and how it helps us to build credibility. Everyone knows Toastmasters as a platform to develop Public speaking and Leadership skills. There are people who dream to be Known Leaders. Whenever we talk about our dreams only wishes are not enough to accomplish them. Our thoughts and actions might show us the path but when our actions become our habits they create our own path to our dreams. Creating our own path against all barriers thus represents our thoughts, actions & habits. While developing as public speakers Toastmasters get the opportunity to speak about their own thoughts. As a leader, they get the opportunity to display their actions. When people listen to one's thoughts or see one’s actions, they make an image in their minds about that person and that gives Toastmasters the opportunity to build credibility. There are many known leaders who were Toastmasters as it showed the path to build their credibility. Toastmaster is one such footstep in building credibility and fulfill our dream. Dream to be a public speaker and dream to be a Leader
“Your Thoughts, Actions & Habits define your Credibility! Build Your Own Path Karan Khairnar 14
Journey to Mount
…
Everest
TM Hrishikesh Gokhale The journey of thousand miles started with one step. If you want to reach the top of the mount Everest, you must start with climbing with one step at a time. Isn’t this true fellow toastmasters..? Yes, it’s true. We have heard about this many times. Mount Everest here taken here for the sake of example. The Mount Everest or the goal can be different from person to person. It can be a professional goal, a personal goal, or the toastmaster’s goal. What is stopping us from reaching our peak of the mountain Everest? The only person stopping us from reaching mount Everest is none other than us. Once we take that first step, we become complacent, we take things for granted. We create a comfort zone, and we want to stick ourselves to that zone. But we forgot that the growth lies beyond the borders of the comfort zone. Now how to leave our comfort zone...?
The Only Person Stopping Us From Reaching To The Top Of Our Own “Mount Everest” Is None Other Than We Ourselves.
15
Following are few simple ways to move beyond our comfort zone. Get Information: Fear comes due to ignorance. Let’s educate ourselves for what we are striving for, what benefit it may give us once we reach that goal. Have a plan: If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Have a concreate plan to achieve your goal, which will keep you motivated and focused.
B +ve: This is not the blood group. This is about being optimistic and hopeful that one or another day you will reach your mountain, Everest. Being sure that negative outcomes will not deter my zeal to achieve my goal. Best of luck to all to reach their own mount Everest…😊 TM Hrishikesh Gokhale VP EDUCATION-PTMC
Taking responsibility: You are accountable for your growth and no one else. Set benchmarks and reward yourself once you reach it. Simply accept it if you fail to do so and do not give excuses.

If there is a Will
…
There is a Way
TM Chaaya Ghadge Contests excite me and this time I decided to participate in International Speech Contest. So I was nominated for it. Getting a topic for a speech has been always a challenge for me. I was in search of the right topic. But suddenly a professional commitment broke in, which was scheduled to happen on the day of the contest. Now I was in dilemma whether or not I would be able to prepare it. so I told VPEd TM Hrishikesh that due to my professional commitment I want to cancel my nominations. He said you have time till the actual contest. I said ok. I made up my mind and spoke with my boss about the contest. When I told her about the contest, she was very happy and immediately said, you should not back out, go for it. Real challenge was ahead, now only 5 days were left for the contest, and I was not having any topic. After thinking a lot, I finally got a suitable topic. Now my speech was almost ready, but only two days were left for the contest. I was not sure whether I will be able to prepare it. I was preparing till last moment. And finally I successfully delivered my speech.
Life Is Not About Winning or Losing It Is About Learning Through Experiences 17
Friends, the reason behind writing all this is that we are always worried till things happen, and because of this we keep on postponing it. Initially, I was not getting the topic, but then suddenly another problem arose. But now I am very happy that I participated in the contest and didn’t back out. It is not about winning or losing the contest, it is about learning through experiences and improving for our better selves. Though I was hesitant before the contest, after the contest I was glad that I participated in it. So the next time when there is a club contest, please don’t hesitate to participate in it. Just go for it.
