No hace tantos años, volar era un privilegio al alcance de muy pocos. Progresivamente, un sector cada vez con mayor demanda, más eficiente y con propuestas más competitivas permitió que el avión fuera una opción habitual en nuestros desplazamientos, sobre todo de medio y largo radio. Esa regularidad es la que ha llevado a que la oferta se diferencie a través de servicios y experiencias. En nuestro caso, un servicio que genera una experiencia inigualable es nuestra clase Business. Pues bien, esta categoría es, ahora, algo que está más cerca de todos los clientes.
Hemos sido la primera aerolínea española en implementar el sistema Plusgrade, que permite a los usuarios de clase Turista optar a una mejora si su vuelo cuenta con plazas de Business. Para ello, hemos activado un modelo de pujas con el que poder acceder a un asiento de este tipo y a los beneficios que conlleva como embarque preferencial o sala VIP entre otros. No es la única novedad reciente de Air Europa. Otra importante es que añadimos Praga a nuestros destinos gracias a un nuevo acuerdo de código compartido, en este caso con Czech Airlines. Estamos convencidos de las ventajas que esto aporta a nuestros clientes. De hecho, sólo en la primera mitad de este año creció en un 34% el número de pasajeros que ha volado a alguno de los 110 destinos que cubrimos gracias a acuerdos similares.
Me gustaría acabar poniendo el acento en los esfuerzos que estamos llevando a cabo para hacer de nuestra operativa la más sostenible del sector. Acabamos de presentar nuestro Vuelo 2030, un proyecto que recoge cerca de 50 iniciativas en marcha para seguir mejorando en impacto medioambiental, eficiencia, equidad o justicia, entre otros aspectos. Es una de las bases de nuestro Plan Estratégico y estamos decididos a contribuir a una industria aérea alineada con el futuro. No es fácil, pero estamos en el camino correcto.
¿Seguimos volando juntos hacia la sostenibilidad?
It wasn’t so many years ago that flying was a privilege within reach of the very few. But gradually, a sector that has seen an increase in demand, improved efficiency and more competitive proposals allowed the aeroplane to become a routine option. It is the routine nature of flying that has led to service and experience being what really make one offer stand out from the rest. A service that provides an unrivalled experience is our Business Class. This category is something that is more accessible to all our customers.
We were the first Spanish airline to implement the Plusgrade system, which allows Economy Class users to opt for an upgrade if their flight has Business Class seats. To do this, we have activated a bidding model to gain access to this type of seat and all the benefits it entails, such as preferential boarding and a VIP lounge, among others.
This is not the only recent development for Air Europa. Another one is the addition of Prague to our destinations, thanks to a new codeshare agreement, this time with Czech Airlines. In the first half of this year alone, the number of passengers who have flown to one of the 110 destinations we fly to thanks to similar agreements has grown by 34%.
I would like to end by highlighting the efforts we are making to make our business the most sustainable in the sector. We have just launched our Flight 2030, a project that includes nearly 50 initiatives underway to continue improving our environmental impact, efficiency, equality, and fairness, among other aspects. It is one of the foundations of our Strategic Plan and we are determined to contribute to an airline industry aligned with the future. It isn’t easy, but we’re on the right track.

ENG The merging of religions in Latin America gave rise to surprising cultural events that have survived to the present day. One example is the popular Mama Negra, a festival dating back to 1742 that’s still held in the Ecuadorian city of Latacunga, about a hundred kilometres from Quito. The event honours the virgin of La Merced, protector of possible disasters caused by Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano on the planet. Tiempo de vendimia, tiempo de celebrar. Cuando acaba de recogerse la uva, es hora de reunirse para dar gracias por una buena cosecha. El pueblo de Binissalem, en Mallorca, vive entonces sus fiestas patronales, conocidas como Festa des Vermar, por todo lo alto. Durante nueve días, y desde el 16 de septiembre, esta localidad (que da nombre a una de las Denominaciones de Origen vinícolas más importantes de las Islas Baleares y de las más antiguas de España) nos ofrece una animada tradición en la que sus calles se engalanan y sus habitantes visten los trajes mallorquines típicos. Esta celebración incluye desfiles con carrozas, correfocs, cenas al aire libre (donde no puede faltar un plato, el Fideus de Vermar, hecho a base de cordero, especias y fideuá) y, por supuesto, pisada de uva. Pero lo divertido llega el último sábado con la batalla de la uva, donde todos tratan de cubrirse de la lluvia de racimos sobre sus cabezas.
ENG It’s grape harvest time, it’s time to celebrate. When the grapes have all been picked, it’s time to come together and give thanks for a good harvest. The village of Binissalem in Majorca certainly knows how to celebrate its patron saint’s festival, the Festa des Vermar, in style. For nine days from 16 September, the town (which gives its name to one of the most important wine designations of origin in the Balearic Islands and the oldest in Spain) observes a high-spirited tradition that sees the streets decked out and the inhabitants dressed in typical Majorcan costumes. The festival includes parades with floats, correfocs (street fireworks), open-air dinners (featuring the obligatory Fideus de Vermar, a dish made with lamb, spices and noodles) and, of course, grape treading. But the real fun comes on the last Saturday with the grape battle, where everyone tries to cover themselves from the clusters of grapes raining down on their heads.

Lola Índigo es el nombre con el que el público conoce a Miriam Doblas (Madrid, 1992), una mujer que, desde niña, conoce bien lo que significa triunfar sobre el escenario. Desde muy temprana edad comenzó a bailar flamenco, un género que cambió por el de las danzas urbanas, gracias al cual ha participado en diversos musicales y ha podido viajar por todo el mundo acompañando a artistas como Chris Brown, Miguel Bosé, Sweet California, Enrique Iglesias o Marta Sánchez, entre otros . Como cantante se dio a conocer en Operación Triunfo 2017, una plataforma que la ha servido para colaborar con otros cantantes internacionales y encadenar éxitos musicales (Ya no quiero ná, Fuerte, El Humo o La Niña) que ya forman parte de nuestra banda sonora actual. El último es El Dragón, una colección de once canciones que hablan de mujeres fuertes que saben lo que quieren y, lo más importante, muestran que estamos ante alguien que canta, baila, diseña y compone y, sobre todo, con muchas ganas de “seguir viajando por todo el mundo, cada vez más lejos y poder dar conciertos más grandes”.

Pues espero que hasta dentro de poco y que ya las cosas cambien de una vez. Pero, de momento, hay mucho camino por recorrer y hay que seguir diciendo las cosas como las pensamos.
Ha colaborado con otros artistas como Luis Fonsi, Rauw Alejandro, María Becerra o Quevedo. ¿Qué supone para usted estas colaboraciones y con quien le gustaría cantar en el futuro?
Me supone ser una artista muy afortunada. En el futuro me gustaría colaborar con gente que me caiga bien, que tengan buena vibra y que sean buena gente sobre todo. Y si, además, tienen talento, sería increíble.

ENG Lola Indigo is the name by which audiences recognise Miriam Doblas (Madrid, 1992), a woman who has known what it means to triumph on stage ever since she was a child. From an early age she began by dancing flamenco, a genre that she then swapped for urban dance. She performed in various musicals and travelled all over the world accompanying artists like Chris Brown, Miguel Bosé, Sweet California, Enrique Iglesias and Marta Sánchez. As a singer, she got her big break in Operación Triunfo 2017, a platform that has allowed her to collaborate with other international singers and string together a series of hit songs (Ya no quiero ná, Fuerte, El Humo and La Niña) that are already part of the soundtrack to our lives. Her latest work is El Dragón, a collection of eleven songs that speak of strong women who know what they want. Most importantly, they show that we’re dealing with a woman who sings, dances, designs and composes and, above all, who’s eager to “continue travelling around the world to more distant places and give bigger concerts”.
Dragon, the song after which the album and the tour are both named, came about on a flight to Buenos Aires. Is the sky a good place to compose?
Yes, the truth is that on planes there’s quite a lot of inspiration and you’ve got many hours, especially on international flights, to get creative... And you also get very nostalgic.
Your lyrics speak of empowered women in charge of their lives. How long will it be necessary to keep sending these types of messages?
Well, I hope we won’t have to do it for much longer and that things are starting to change. But at the moment, there’s still a long way to go and we must keep on saying what we think.
You’ve worked with other artists like Luis Fonsi, Rauw Alejandro, María Becerra and Quevedo. What do these partnerships mean for you and who would you like to sing with in the future?
They mean I’m a very lucky artist. In the future I’d like to collaborate with people I like, who have good vibes and who are, above all, good people. And if on top of that they’re talented, it would be incredible.
Do you like air travel? Can you tell us what you do during a flight?
I try to sleep, but when I can’t sleep I watch a film. I like watching films several times over so I can analyse them. For example, I’ve seen Frida loads of times. I also like writing songs, drawing...

El río Duero sirve como espejo en el que se mira Oporto, la urbe encantadora, discreta y vibrante al mismo tiempo. Pero la imagen que le devuelve al otro lado, en la orilla izquierda, no es la suya propia, sino de la de su complementaria. Vila Nova de Gaia es la ciudad –que no barrio– del vino, donde se encuentran las bodegas que son el corazón y el alma portuense. Cruzar el puente Don Luis I tiene ahora más sentido que nunca: a finales de 2020 Gaia estrenó WOW (siglas de World of Wine), un distrito cultural, gastronómico y de ocio que se abre tanto a visitantes como locales con una oferta que va mucho más allá de la visita a bodegas. Museos sorprendentes, restaurantes con grandes chefs al frente y plazas de encuentro con vistas privilegiadas del viejo Oporto en las que siempre hay actividades, desde música en directo hasta instalaciones de arte.
EL VINO, EL PRINCIPIO DE TODO
Antes de 2020, Vilanova de Gaia era conocida por ser el hogar de bodegas históricas como Sandeman, Graham’s o Taylor’s. Precisamente esta última comparte CEO Con WOW, Adrian Bridge, inquieto impulsor de un proyecto que hunde sus raíces en ese legado vinícola para expandirlo. Recorrer los 35.000 metros cuadrados de este distrito, cuesta arriba, cuesta abajo, es encontrarse con un esperable (pero muy didáctico) museo del vino pero también con uno dedicado al corcho –con usos que van mucho más allá del simple tapón de las botellas– y un espacio inclasificable, Pink Palace donde, partiendo de la excusa del vino rosado, se crea un universo pop hedonista e instagrameable en el que Barbie se sentiría como en casa.
Hay más por venir. Marta Bravo, directora de los museos de WOW, explica que “el proyecto no tiene fin” y que la programación no cesa de ampliarse con exposiciones de arte en colaboración con la Tate Collection, festivales dedicados a la cerveza artesanal o talleres de todo tipo. “Es un espacio con vida, dinámico y lleno de oportunidades para crecer”, añade Bravo.
Para dar forma a WOW se han reconvertido alguna de las antiguas bodegas. Quedan huellas: en el restaurante T&C (Rua do Choupelo, 39) es posible comerse una francesinha –plato contundente que es todo un emblema de la ciudad– en una mesa situada dentro de una barrica de vino gigante. La sofisticación gastronómica tiene nombre propio, el del chef Ricardo Costa, que ostenta dos estrellas Michelin en el restaurante del hotel relais & châteaux The Yeatman y que acaba de abrir en la renovada
200 years of history.
Tras recorrer Vila Nova de Gaia (y sus cuestas), es recomendable disfrutar de un descanso en el Jardim do Morro, el mirador más visitado de Oporto. // After touring Vila Nova de Gaia (and its hills), it’s best to enjoy a break in Jardim do Morro, Porto’s most visited viewpoint.
Gaia su restaurante Mira Mira, con una terraza espléndida que mira al Duero y un interior limpio y minimalista. “La cocina de Mira Mira ofrece una visión relajada de la alta gastronomía. Es libre, sin presiones, siempre auténtica”, describe el chef, que logra platos redondos como las mollejas con bloody mary y acelga o la naranja sanguina con azafrán y pistacho. Recetas con alma inequívocamente portuguesa pero repensadas para un disfrute total.
Callejear por la nueva Vila Nova de Gaia garantiza sorpresas al cruzar cada esquina. En la rua do Choupelo aguarda la histórica bodega Taylor’s, donde es posible finalizar la visita con una cata en su idílico jardín interior, copa de vino de Oporto en mano, mientras pavos reales campan a sus anchas. Entre las sorpresas, un museo del chocolate que esconde en su interior una pequeña fábrica, The Chocolate Story Museum. Allí, como si se tratara de un Willy Wonka a la portuguesa, el maestro chocolatero Pedro Araujo elabora el premiado Vinte Vinte, que se cata tras finalizar la visita. “En el museo puede verse cómo nació el chocolate y cómo ha ido evolucionando hasta nuestros días. Además, es posible observar el proceso de producción en la propia fábrica que tenemos dentro”, cuenta Araujo. ¿Por qué un museo dedicado al chocolate en la meca del vino? “Siempre digo que el vino y el chocolate forman una combinación hecha en el cielo. Existe una vinculación natural entre ambos”.
Traspasando los límites de WOW, Vilanova de Gaia reúne suficientes encantos para una visita cool pero relajada, con un carácter propio que (aún) no entiende de globalización. Las plazas de edificios bellamente azulejados aguardan a todo el que quiera tomarse un café o un vinho –nobleza obliga–en sus mesas. Ciudad arriba espera Jardim do Morro, un lugar perfecto para disfrutar de una puesta de sol de postal, con los rabelos tradicionales navegando a cámara lenta por el Duero. Y de camino, los amantes del arte urbano tienen una cita en la esquina de las calles Guilherme Gomes Fernandes y Dom Afonso III con Half Rabbit, del artista Bordalo II, una escultura gigante de un conejo hecha a base de material reciclado recogido por el propio autor en las calles de Gaia. Metáfora perfecta de una ciudad que ha sabido reinventarse sin perder una gota de su esencia.

The Douro River serves as a mirror in which Porto, a city that is charming, understated, and vibrant at the same time, is able to see itself. But the image on the other side, on the left bank, is actually that of its counterpart. Vila Nova de Gaia is the city - not the district - of wine, where you can find the wineries that are the heart and soul of Porto. Crossing over the Don Luis I bridge is now a better idea than ever: at the end of 2020 Gaia opened WOW (World of Wine), a cultural, culinary and leisure district that is open to both visitors and locals, with an appeal that goes far beyond a visit to the wineries. There are unexpected museums, restaurants with incredible chefs at the helm and meeting places with spectacular views of old Oporto and constant activities, from live music to art installations.
Before 2020, Vila Nova de Gaia was known as the home of historic wineries such as Sandeman, Graham’s or Taylor’s. The latter in fact shares the same CEO as WOW, Adrian Bridge, the enterprising promoter of a project rooted in this winemaking legacy with a vision to watching it grow. Walking through the district’s 35,000 square metres, uphill and downhill, you’ll discover a wine museum, as you would expect (but one that’s very educational), and one dedicated to cork and its many uses that go far beyond the simple bottle stopper. using rosé wine as inspiration, a hedonistic and Instagrammable pop universe has been created where Barbie herself would feel right at home.
There is more to come. Marta Bravo, director of the WOW museums, explains that “the project is never-ending” and that the programme is constantly expanding with art exhibitions in collaboration with the Tate Collection, festivals dedicated to craft beer and workshops of all kinds. “It’s a lively, dynamic space full of opportunities to grow,” adds Bravo.
To give shape to WOW, some of the old wine cellars have been converted. Traces remain: in the T&C restaurant (Rua do Choupelo, 39) you can enjoy a francesinha - a hearty dish that’s an emblem of the city - at a table set inside a giant wine barrel. Culinary sophistication, mean-
while, has its own name, that of chef Ricardo Costa, holder of two Michelin stars at the restaurant of the Relais & Châteaux Hotel The Yeatman who has just opened his restaurant Mira Mira in the renovated Gaia, with a magnificent terrace overlooking the Douro and a clean, minimalist interior. “Mira Mira’s cuisine offers a relaxed vision of haute cuisine. It is free, unpressured, always authentic”, describes the chef, who achieves well-rounded dishes such as sweetbreads with Bloody Mary, and chard or blood orange with saffron and pistachio. Recipes with an unmistakably Portuguese soul but carefully reconsidered for maximum enjoyment.

One of my favourite things to do is to visit the Angel’s Share terrace and enjoy a Pink Port Tonic, made with a rosé port wine, tonic, ice, and red fruits. All Portuguese wine regions are fascinating, but my weaknesses are the vinho verde and those from the island of Azores, which have their own unique identity – fresh, and always with that touch of saltiness.

Vinte, which is sampled at the end of the visit. “In the museum you can see how chocolate was born and how it has evolved up to the present day. You can also observe the production process in the factory we have inside,” says Araujo. Why a chocolate museum in the wine mecca? “I’ve always said that wine and chocolate are a match made in heaven. There is a natural link between the two.”
Beyond the limits of WOW, Vila Nova de Gaia has enough charm for a cool but relaxed visit, with a character all its own that (still) has no concept of globalisation. The squares of beautifully tiled buildings await anyone who wants to enjoy a coffee or a glass of vinho - noblesse oblige - at their tables. Uptown, the Jardim do Morro awaits, a perfect place to enjoy a picture-postcard sunset, with the traditional rabelos sailing in slow motion on the Douro. And on the way, urban art lovers have an appointment at the corner of Guilherme Gomes Fernandes and Dom Afonso III with Half Rabbit, by the artist Bordalo II, a giant sculpture of a rabbit made from recycled material collected by the artist himself on the streets of Gaia. A perfect metaphor for a city that has managed to reinvent itself without losing a single drop of its essence.

BAR BELLY. Its happy hour includes fresh oysters at one dollar, but the best thing about this little bar, which reflects all the aesthetics and cultural spirit of the Lower East Side, are the parties with live music that it organises from time to time. An amazing copper bar and vintage furniture that speak volumes about what really goes on in this late night venue, where as a matter of fact the prices aren’t the most expensive in the neighbourhood (delicious cocktails that start at €12). TENEMENT MUSEUM. Orchard Street is considered to be the epicentre of Lower East Side, a street that crosses the entire neighbourhood, made up nearly entirely of traditional residential red brick buildings and fire escapes. This was always a neighbourhood for immigrants and a place where Jews could settle, which is why the Tenement Museum is there, a museum on immigration in New York that shows what a real home was like in 1860. Joel Russ, a young Jew from Poland who had recently arrived in the Big Apple, started this years-old business where today his heirs still serve the best original smoked salmon bagels and other delicacies of Jewish cuisine. Under the name of Flight 2030, Air Europa has launched a project that brings together a set of 45 environmental, economic, and social initiatives already underway, with which the airline is reaffirming its focus on more efficient and sustainable practices.
The company is implementing measures such as the increased use of sustainable fuels (SAF), sustainability clauses in contracts, technology to reduce paper use and energy consumption, as well as training and involvement of employees and the selec-tion of suppliers aligned with the company’s sustainability policies.
Bajo el nombre de Vuelo 2030, Air Europa ha puesto en marcha un proyecto que reúne un conjunto de 45 iniciativas ya en marcha de carácter medioambiental, económico y social con las que la aerolínea reafirma su orientación hacia una operativa más eficiente y sostenible.
La compañía está aplicando medidas como el empleo creciente de combustible sostenible (SAF), cláusulas de sostenibilidad en los contratos, tecnologías destinadas a reducir el uso de papel y el consumo de energía, así como la formación e implicación de los empleados o la selección de proveedores alineados con las políticas de sostenibilidad de la empresa.
Los avances logrados se reflejan en la Memoria de Sostenibilidad 2022, un documento que recoge las medidas abordadas a lo largo del pasado año y que refrenda la importancia de este ámbito en el nuevo Plan Estratégico 2023-2025, que
permitirá llevar a cabo el proceso de expansión de la compañía.
Entre otros logros, en 2022 Air Europa consiguió que las toneladas de carburante por kilómetro transportado se redujeran un 26% con respecto a 2017, y un 11% frente a las de 2021. Asimismo, se adoptó el empleo generalizado de materiales reciclables a bordo, se redujo en casi un 25% el consumo de papel por empleado en sólo un año y se establecieron medidas para la compensación de la huella de carbono plantando 1.700 árboles en Guadalajara.
Con Vuelo 2030, la aerolínea mantiene su compromiso de ser sostenibles partiendo del reconocimiento de que, siendo una tarea que no es fácil, la compañía está en el camino para ello. Air Europa entiende la sostenibilidad como el desarrollo que satisface las necesidades del presente, garantizando el equilibrio entre el crecimiento económico, el cuidado del medioambiente y el bienestar social.
The progress achieved is reflected in the Sustainability Report 2022, a document that includes the measures addressed over the past year and which endorses the im-portance of this aspect in the new Strategic Plan 2023-2025, which will enable the implementation of the company’s expansion process.

Volar en clase Business partiendo de un billete en clase Turista está ahora al alcance de los clientes de Air Europa. La compañía se ha convertido en la primera aerolínea española en poner en marcha la plataforma de pujas Plusgrade, que permite a los pasajeros de Turista en un vuelo con clase Business participar en una subasta para acceder a una mejora de categoría.
Para pujar, el usuario tendrá que hacerlo presentando una oferta a través de la página web o mediante una invitación por correo electrónico que recibirá siete días antes de su vuelo. Air Europa comunicará la adjudicación de las plazas a las mejores ofertas presentadas. El cliente sólo abona el precio indicado en su mejora cuando se le comunica que ha conseguido la puja y confirma su interés por el cambio de categoría.
El pasajero podrá probar Plusgrade desde el momento mismo en que lleve a cabo su reserva. En cualquier caso, debe tener en cuenta que, si en la orden de compra figuran varios pasajeros, Plusgrade se aplicará a todos ellos, aunque podrá modificar su configuración a través del servicio de Atención al Cliente. Asimismo, si se trata de un vuelo con escalas, deberá indicar el segmento o trayecto por el que pujará para viajar en clase Business.

Flying Business Class from an Economy Class ticket is now available to Air Europa customers. The airline has become the first Spanish airline to launch the Plusgrade bidding platform, which allows Economy passengers on a Business Class flight to take part in an auction for an upgrade.
To bid, users need to submit an offer via the website or by means of an e-mail invitation that they will receive seven days before their flight. Air Europa will announce the allocation of seats to the best bids submitted. The customer only pays the price indicated in their upgrade when they are informed that they have been successful in their bid and confirm their interest in the upgrade.
Passengers can try Plusgrade from the moment they make their booking. In any event, it should be noted that if several passengers are included in the purchase order, Plusgrade will apply to all of them, although they can change their configuration through the Customer Service Department. Likewise, if the flight includes stopovers, the segment or route on which passengers are bidding to travel in Business Class must be indicated.
Business Class travel allows passengers to enjoy not only the comfort of Business Class seats, as well as the variety and quality of services on board, including its culinary options, but also other benefits, such as access to VIP lounges, check-in at an exclusive desk and priority boarding.

In the first half of this year, the number of Air Europa passengers flying under codeshare agreements grew by more than 34% compared to the same period last year. Air Europa has such agreements with more than twenty airlines and offers more than 200 flights a day to more than 110 destinations in 35 countries. All this reflects the success of this expansion strategy.
The company remains committed to the growth of this route to expand the options for its users, even combining air travel with other means of transport. Proof of this is the intermodal agreement it recently reached with iryo, the new high-speed operator in Spain, which will connect Madrid with the eleven national destinations its trains cur-rently serve.
Transformation and balance in Francesca Martí’s new exhibition
La galería Gerhardt Braun de Madrid presenta Flux, una muestra individual de esculturas, dibujos, instalaciones y videos de la artista mallorquina.
“No hay arte sin transformación”, decía el cineasta francés Robert Bresson. Pero esa transformación también viene dada por el entorno, por las personas que nos rodean. Esta es una de las líneas temáticas que la artista Francesca Martí presenta en su exposición Flux en la galería Gerhardt Braun de Madrid. “El trabajo de Martí se centra en los caminos y comportamientos expresados por los humanos, y cómo las personas se comportan de una manera diferente cuando están solos o forman parte de un grupo”, explican desde la galería.
Así, en la muestra, que se inaugura el 14 de septiembre, se pueden ver pequeños grupos de figuras escultóricas que hablan de escenarios surrealistas y paisajes alterados y fotografiados por la artista. También se pueden contemplar esculturas de gran tamaño y otras piezas que hablan de la fascinación de la creadora por los cuerpos celestes, la migración y el nacimiento de una nueva forma de pensar en esta era tecnológica. “Flux es una exposición compleja, pues involucra varias ideas relacionadas juntas; es la observación del caos en la ciudad, es el desequilibrio causado por la comunicación continua, el proceso de destrucción y construcción, versa también sobre cómo imaginamos el paso del tiempo”, añade.
Francesca Martí, a través de la manipulación de materiales y formas, desafía los límites convencionales de la escultura, la fotografía, la instalación y la performance, y suele colaborar con artistas, bailarines y músicos en su trabajo. Su obra ha sido expuesta en Es Baluard Museo de Arte Moderno y Contemporáneo de Palma de Mallorca, así como en el Xiao Hui Wang Contemporary Art Museum de Shanghái, el Swedish History Museum de Estocolmo o el Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum de Bratislava, entre otros.

This is one of the thematic lines presented by artist Francesca Martí in her show Flux at the Gerhardt Braun gallery in Madrid. “Martí’s work focuses on the paths taken and behaviours expressed by humans, how people behave differently when they’re alone and when they’re part of a group” as the gallery spokesperson explains.
The exhibition, which opens on 14 September, features small groups of sculptural figures that speak about surrealist scenarios and about landscapes altered and photographed by the artist. The show also includes sculptures and other pieces that tell of the creator’s fascination with celestial bodies, migration and the birth of a new way of thinking in this technological era.
By manipulating materials and forms Francesca Martí challenges conventional boundaries of sculpture, photography, installation and performance, and she often collaborates with artists, dancers and musicians in her work. Martí’s work has been exhibited at Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Palma de Mallorca, as well as at the Xiao Hui Wang Contemporary Art Museum in Shanghai and the Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum in Bratislava, among others.
