After completing her Bachelor Degree of Photography at Charles Sturt University in 2005, Alana has since been a professional photographer. FOLK was born four years ago out of the love for her tribe – her ‘village’ – and a need to document moments in time that tell a story forever more and the realisation that our precious past is carried through generations via photographs and the stories they hold. For Our Love of Kin – FOLK. There is an art to beautiful storytelling that isn’t simply capturing a moment. The combination of formal education coupled with the evolution of personal technique over 17 years of photography has created a unique style that can only be described as ‘artful documentary’.
