Learn safe and fun ways to babysit and care for children. Class covers CPR, first aid, techniques for active children, and how to have a successful babysitting adventure. Build confidence, selfesteem and skills necessary to care for infants and children on a daily basis and in emergency situations. Bring a sack lunch. This is a fun and exciting way to build strength, flexibility, and coordination. Learn tumbling basics such as forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, back walkovers and more. Each child is encouraged to advance at his or her own pace safely. Wear form fitting clothing. Hair should be pulled back. No experience necessary. This class combines various aspects of the arts such as dancing, singing, and acting into one fun class! Students learn dance routines that showcase the basic jazz skills they learn alongside songs from popular musicals and movies. Classes starting in April have an optional off-site recital. The Glendale Community Center offers a free, drop-in after school program for youth ages 5-14 years old. This is a non-Licensed program which runs from August 9, 2021 through May 26, 2022, Monday through Friday. We work in partnership with the Glendale Elementary School District meaning our program is open Mon/Tues-Thurs/Fri – 4 PM – 7 PM; Wed – 1 PM – 7 PM. We also offer programs during school breaks to meet your needs. The Glendale Community Center offers a snack and a meal each day to participants of the program, as well as to other neighboring youth. Your children will have fun with new friends and team staff in a positive, welcoming environment.
