Por Alejandra Cárdenas González ¿Con que más podría compararse este sentimiento tan intenso, tan complejo, tan universal? Es un virus, una pandemia que se propaga rápidamente y no tiene cura. Afecta a todo el que se cruce en el camino, no respeta sexo, raza, religión, país, profesión o filiación política.

Arbitrario, se encuentra en poder de un pequeño ser que imaginamos con alas, rostro tierno y arco en mano. Con tal inocencia el angelito niño, al no desarrollar bien sus sentidos, anda disparando al aire, en los momentos más inoportunos y con flechazos impares, por lo general. ¿Quién puede decir que no ha sido blanco del mismo? ¿Quién puede asegurar haber amado siempre correspondido? ¿Quién puede decir que entiende el amor? O es que acaso ¿Existe alguien que no ha tenido aquel fiel amigo que un día fue su amante y al otro su enemigo?

Es entonces Cupido el reservorio de este virus, que se trasmite por medio de los amores pasajeros, idos y venideros, que a su paso dejan una nueva cepa cada vez más fuerte y resistente a la cordura. No se extrañe por tanto que cada vez se contagie más fácil y se debilite más. Por

esta razón quien lo padece se hace adicto, es un morboso que ya no puede vivir sin la sensación terrible de esta enfermedad, sin el virus mismo recorriendo su torrente sanguíneo, paralizando su juicio y cegando su razón.

Sin remedio ni alternativa, como médico y sin vergüenza, le recomiendo que no se oponga a lo inevitable y que espere aquel momento en que la flecha caiga en usted, deseándole con actitud sincera que el primero que vea también lo esté viendo a usted cuando le haya de tocar la espantosa enfermedad.
