Ello se debe a que Japón constituye desde el punto de vista “contable”--¡no geofinanciero!---el primer tenedor de Bonos del Tesoro de EU con Un millón de millones de dólares (US$1 Trillón en anglosajón).
Scott Bessent is nervous and is trying to meet with Japanese authorities as soon as possible (source). Why? Because from an accounting perspective—not a geofinancial one!—Japan is the top holder of U.S. Treasury Bonds, with $1 trillion USD.

China is the most critical geostrategic threat to the U.S., and must be countered by all means. This explains Trump’s attempt to decouple in areas like shipbuilding (“Why are ships the new chips? Trump wants to restore U.S. maritime power” – source), technology, critical minerals, and energy— creating separate global production and consumption nodes for security reasons. Trump aims to project power and strength.

One of the biggest questions for domestic manufacturers right now is who pays for the costs associated with tariffs.

Most companies that rely on imports are planning to raise their prices, reported Andy Medici of The Playbook. Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con el descanso digital. Recientemente, leí que, según los estudios, los muchachos que aprenden más y retienen mejor las cosas, son los que leen en libros y escriben a mano. Es decir, que el aprendizaje es mejor cuando se combina lo tradicional con lo digital.
I fully support taking a digital break. Recently, I read that studies show students who learn and retain information better are those who read physical books and write by hand. In other words, learning is more effective when traditional methods are combined with digital tools.
Y esto tiene todo el sentido del mundo, porque no es lo mismo si el cuerpo participa en el proceso. Al escribir y pensar, usamos el cerebro, la mano, todo el cuerpo. Tiene que ser distinto a oír algo digital, donde escuchamos pasivamente, pero el cuerpo no está tan implicado. Y eso es lo que están descubriendo, que definitivamente es muy bueno que los niños.
And this makes perfect sense because it’s a whole different experience when the body is involved in the process. When we write and think, we use our brain, our hand, our entire body. That’s very different from passively listening to something digital, where the body is not as engaged. And that’s what researchers are discovering: it’s
beneficial for children.

immediacy, productivity pressure, and constant over-demand are the norm, burnout has become a silent epidemic. Physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion is affecting more and more workers across various sectors, leaving behind consequences that damage not only personal well-being but also the health of organizations.

Cada 7 de abril, en el Día Mundial de la Salud, las campañas nos bombardean con consejos familiares: “comé mejor”, “hacé ejercicio”, “reducí el estrés”. Pero, aunque bien intencionados, ¿no suenan un poco repetitivos? ¿Por qué, entonces, seguimos sin sentirnos verdaderamente bien?
Every April 7th, on World Health Day, campaigns bombard us with familiar advice: “Eat better,” “Exercise,” “Reduce stress.” But, although wellintentioned, don’t they sound a bit repetitive? So why, then, do we still not feel truly well?
La respuesta quizá incomode: porque hemos convertido la salud en un producto. The answer might be uncomfortable: because we’ve turned health into a product.
Hoy, el bienestar se trata como un commodity: algo que se compra, se consume y, muchas veces, se desecha. Nos ofrecen soluciones empaquetadas, dietas de moda, apps que prometen cambiarte la vida y suplementos con efecto mágico. Todo rápido, todo estándar. Como si la salud pudiera reducirse a una fórmula única, ajena a nuestra historia, a nuestra cultura y a nuestro cuerpo. Today, well-being is treated as a commodity: something that is bought, consumed, and often discarded. We are offered packaged solutions, trendy diets, apps that promise to change your life, and supplements with magical effects. Everything is quick, everything is standardized. As if health could be reduced to a single formula, detached from our history, culture, and body.
Pero la verdadera salud no se compra. Se construye. Se cuida. Se escucha. But true health cannot be bought. It is built. It is cared for. It is heard.

Health is not a straight line or a universal recipe. It is a deeply intimate process, beginning with a simple and powerful question: What truly nourishes me?
Sí, la alimentación es un pilar esencial. Pero no desde el enfoque restrictivo o culpógeno que impone la cultura de la dieta. Comer no debería ser una batalla ni una lista interminable de prohibiciones. No existen alimentos “malos” por sí solos. Lo que sí existe es el desarraigo de nuestros cuerpos, la desconexión de nuestras señales internas, el olvido de lo que realmente necesitamos. Yes, nutrition is an essential pillar. But not from the restrictive or guilt-inducing approach imposed by the diet culture. Eating should not be a battle nor an endless list of prohibitions. There are no “bad” foods by themselves. What exists is the disconnection from our bodies, the detachment from our internal signals, the forgetting of what we truly need.

Hoy, muchas personas no saben cuándo tienen hambre. Comen según lo que dicta una influencer, una etiqueta, un algoritmo. Vivimos hacia afuera. Today, many people don’t know when they are
hungry. They eat based on what an influencer, a label, or an algorithm dictates.We live outwardly. And that lifestyle takes a toll on us: anxiety, inflammation, dissatisfaction, disconnection. The response? Searching for another quick fix. Another supplement. Another band-aid to cover the void.
Pero este Día Mundial de la Salud, tal vez podamos hacer algo diferente.

But this World Health Day, maybe we can do something different.
Return home. To our body. To our intuition.

From where am I making decisions about my health?
¿Estoy nutriéndome… o solo cumpliendo instrucciones?
Am I nourishing myself… or just following instructions?
Estoy comiendo para encajar… o para estar bien de verdad?
Am I eating to fit in… or to truly feel good?
La salud no se consigue. Se cultiva. Como una tierra fértil. Con amor, paciencia y constancia.
Health is not something to achieve. It’s something to cultivate. Like fertile land. With love, patience, and consistency.
Porque solo cuando dejamos de vivir hacia afuera, empezamos a sanar desde adentro. Y entonces sí, la salud deja de ser un ideal inalcanzable y se convierte en lo que siempre

Las imágenes que llegan desde Myanmar, tras el devastador terremoto que sacudió el país el pasado 28 de marzo, son desoladoras. Edificios colapsados, caminos destruidos, familias separadas y miles de personas intentando recomponerse entre los escombros. Según el reporte de France 24, el balance preliminar supera las 1.700 personas fallecidas, 3.400 heridos, 300 desaparecidos y más de 100 millones de euros que son necesarios para cubrir la ayuda humanitaria urgente.

The images coming from Myanmar, following the devastating earthquake that struck the country on March 28, are heartbreaking. Collapsed buildings, destroyed roads, separated families, and thousands of people trying to rebuild their lives amid the rubble. According to a report from France 24, the preliminary toll exceeds 1,700 deaths, 3,400 injuries, 300 missing persons, and more than 100 million euros are needed to cover urgent humanitarian aid.

All of this is happening in the context of a civil war where military factions and civilian insurgents face off with weapons in a conflict that has now lasted nearly four years.
Más allá de las cifras, que duelen, lo que realmente estremece es la fragilidad de la vida. En un instante, todo puede cambiar. En un segundo, la estabilidad que creíamos tener puede desmoronarse. Y es ahí cuando nuestra compasión, nuestra capacidad de conectar con el dolor ajeno, debe activarse sin excusas ni fronteras.
Beyond the numbers, which are painful, what truly shakes us is the fragility of life. In an instant, everything can change. In a second, the stability we thought we had can crumble. And it is at that moment when our compassion, our ability to connect with the suffering of others, must activate without excuses or borders.
En momentos como estos, es inevitable recordar que no podemos controlar los movimientos de la tierra, pero sí podemos elegir cómo reaccionamos como sociedad. La solidaridad no debería ser una reacción ocasional, sino una actitud permanente. Es en
el caos donde descubrimos quiénes somos como especie, y si hay algo que aún puede salvarnos como humanidad, es la empatía activa.
In times like these, it is impossible not to remember that we cannot control the movements of the earth, but we can choose how we react as a society. Solidarity should not be an occasional reaction but a permanent attitude. It is in the chaos that we discover who we are as a species, and if there is anything that can still save us as humanity, it is active empathy.
Las catástrofes naturales nos igualan. No distinguen idiomas, religiones ni nacionalidades. Por eso, el sufrimiento de una comunidad lejana también es una invitación a mirar hacia adentro y preguntarnos: ¿qué estoy haciendo por los demás? ¿Dónde puedo aportar? ¿Cómo puedo servir?
Natural catastrophes level us. They do not distinguish between languages, religions, or nationalities.That is why the suffering of a distant community is also an invitation to look inward and ask ourselves: What am I doing for others? Where can I contribute? How can I serve?
No todos podemos estar en Myanmar ayudando físicamente, pero todos podemos hacer algo. Donar, difundir, rezar, meditar, acompañar, enviar buenas energías y mucha luz para los que sufren ten este momento… porque el dolor humano es uno solo y no respeta distancias.
Not all of us can be in Myanmar physically helping, but we can all do something. Donate, spread the word, pray, meditate, accompany, send good energies, and lots of light for those who are suffering right now… because human pain is one, and it does not respect distances.
Hoy, más que nunca, recordemos que la compasión también es una forma de resistencia. Cuando el mundo parece quebrarse, sigamos apostando por la reconstrucción, no solo de ciudades, sino también de los lazos que nos unen como una gran familia humana.
Today, more than ever, let us remember that compassion is also a form of resistance. When the world seems to be breaking, let us continue investing in reconstruction, not only of cities but also of the bonds that unite us as one great human family.

Conríquez fue abucheado, agredido con cerveza y obligado a abandonar el recinto, luego de anunciar que no interpretaría corridos durante su espectáculo. Texcoco, State of Mexico — On the night of Friday, April 11, 2025, during his performance at the Palenque of the Texcoco Horse Fair, singer Luis R. Conríquez was booed, pelted with beer, and ultimately forced to leave the venue after announcing that he would not perform corridos during his show.

A pesar de sus intentos por continuar con el espectáculo en otro tono, los asistentes no lo permitieron. El escenario fue invadido por vasos de cerveza y otros objetos lanzados con enojo hacia el cantante y su equipo. La situación se tornó violenta cuando algunos asistentes subieron al escenario y comenzaron a destruir instrumentos
musicales, mientras el personal de Conríquez intentaba evacuarlo.
Despite his efforts to continue the show with a different musical direction, the crowd would not allow it. The stage was soon flooded with cups of beer and other objects thrown at the singer and his team. The situation escalated when some attendees stormed the stage and began destroying musical instruments while Conríquez’s staff attempted to evacuate him.

Lo incierto ya no es una excepción, sino la norma. La estabilidad que muchos creían tener —en lo económico, lo político, lo climático e incluso en lo personal— se ha ido resquebrajando como una vasija antigua que apenas logra contener el agua. Las noticias nos sacuden con titulares que van desde terremotos devastadores hasta conflictos geopolíticos, crisis migratorias y decisiones políticas que redibujan el mapa económico mundial de un día para otro. Y en medio de todo esto, estamos nosotros: intentando entender, adaptarnos, respirar.
Uncertainty is no longer the exception—it has become the norm. The stability many once believed they had—economically, politically, environmentally, and even personally—has been crumbling like an old clay pot barely holding water. Headlines shake us daily, from devastating earthquakes to geopolitical conflicts, migration crises, and political decisions that redraw the global economic map overnight. And in the midst of it all, here we are: trying to understand, to adapt, to breathe.

With 162 hectares
dedicated to homes, educational centers, shops and places of worship, the initiative seeks to become a model of life for thousands of people. However, the plan has sparked a wave of criticism and an investigation by state authorities. The EPIC City development, located in Collin and Hunt counties, has been heralded as an inclusive space for the Muslim community. In addition to the more than 1,000 homes, the project includes the construction of a community college, a religious school, a mosque and medical clinics. Comentarios: Un tema que me parece muy interesante —y preocupante— es lo que está ocurriendo en Texas con el desarrollo de una ciudad musulmana dentro del área de Dallas. Esta propuesta urbanística, que algunos están llamando “rendición digital”, busca establecer una comunidad completa llamada EPIC, que son las siglas de East Plano
Islamic Center, con más de mil viviendas, una escuela desde kínder hasta bachillerato, una universidad técnica, y por supuesto, una mezquita central. Aunque en apariencia se presenta como un proyecto comunitario, para muchos esto forma parte de una agenda más amplia de segmentar a las poblaciones bajo el discurso de “unidad”, pero sin verdadera integración ni armonía con el entorno. Es algo parecido a lo que ocurrió cuando se permitió el ingreso masivo de comunidades musulmanas a España sin un proceso real de integración cultural. Lo preocupante es que en lugares como Qatar —de donde muchos de estos modelos comunitarios toman inspiración— las leyes como la sharía han provocado situaciones absolutamente terribles, sobre todo para las mujeres. Basta recordar el caso de aquella periodista (creo que era española), que fue violada por un colombiano y, al denunciarlo, fue ella quien terminó en la cárcel durante 100 días, recibiendo incluso latigazos por “haberlo provocado”. Si estas leyes y costumbres están detrás del modelo de ciudad que se quiere importar a Texas, entonces sí deberíamos estar muy atentos, porque más allá de la religión, lo que se está introduciendo es un sistema de control profundamente patriarcal y autoritario disfrazado de espiritualidad y cohesión comunitaria.
Comments: One issue that I find very interesting—and troubling—is what’s happening
in Texas with the development of a Muslim city within the Dallas area. This urban proposal, which some are calling “digital surrender”, seeks to establish an entire community called EPIC, which stands for East Plano Islamic Center, with more than a thousand homes, a kindergarten through high school school, a technical university, and of course, a central mosque. Although it is apparently presented as a community project, for many this is part of a broader agenda of segmenting populations under the discourse of “unity”, but without true integration or harmony with the environment. It is something similar to what happened when the massive entry of Muslim communities into Spain was allowed without a real process of cultural integration. What is worrying is that in places like Qatar –from where many of these community models take inspiration – laws such as Sharia law have led to absolutely terrible situations, especially for women. It is enough to remember the case of that journalist (I think she was Spanish), who was raped by a Colombian and, when she reported it, it was she who ended up in jail for 100 days, even receiving whippings for “having provoked him”. If these laws and customs are behind the model of city that they want to import to Texas, then we should be very attentive, because beyond religion, what is being introduced is a deeply patriarchal and authoritarian system of control disguised as spirituality and community cohesion.
