Erstmals erzählt Heidi Hetzer jetzt ihr ganzes Leben und von ihrer abenteuerlichen Reise während zweieinhalb Jahren durch vierzig Länder, von einer Tour de Force voller Pannen und Hindernisse, Höhen und Tiefen, aber auch voller faszinierender Erlebnisse und Begegnungen mit hilfsbereiten Menschen. Inspirierend, kraftvoll, Mut machend! In mid-April Heidi Hetzer was still touring Africa in a Jeep. The 81-year-old rally driver has now sadly passed away. Up until the middle of April, Hetzer was still on a long tour of Africa in a pink Jeep. ‘Old age does not protect you from life’ was Heidi Hetzer’s motto when she set off on a solo round the world trip in a Hudson (construction year: 1930) in 2014. In her youth she completed an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic in her father’s company in the 1950s. In her early 30s she took over the family-run business and turned it into the largest car dealership in Berlin. Starts a family – and regularly participates in car rallies. Heidi Hetzer now talks for the first time about her entire life and her adventurous trip through forty countries in two and a half years, a tour de force full of breakdowns and obstacles, highs and lows, but also full of fascinating experiences and encounters with people willing to help.
