Among the many charms that San Blas, Nayarit has, is Singayta, a village which is amazing for those who love nature. Located 15 minutes from the coastal destination, following the San Blas-Tepic highway, Singayta rests on a swamp region with rich wetlands of dense mangrove forests, which makes it an ideal place for ecotourism activities such as horseback riding or walking in the jungle, and where the friendly inhabitants take tourists paddling among the mangroves, where around 350 species of birds live.

Incidentally, there is a protection campaign currently created by the inhabitants of the place. In addition, Singayta is also a village rich in history, as it came to be part of the Hacienda de Navarrete (famous for producing coconut, palm, and wood), making it a trip that must be in the itinerary when going to San Blas.

Por: David Vega Papantla, Veracruz, fue fundado por los indígenas de Tuzapan, con el nombre de Papantla, que significa Luna Nueva. Jeroglífico dos plumas de ave el signo pantli (bandera), se asocian para referirse al ave llamada Papán, una especie de cuervo; Tla, indica abundancia, “Lugar de Papanes”, (pájaros de colorido brillante existentes en la región) y significa "Lugar de pájaros muy ruidosos". Según la leyenda totonaca, los dioses dijeron a los hombres: "Bailen, nosotros observaremos". Los hombres-pájaro o "voladores" son una tradición mexicana consistente en una danza espectacular para agradar a los Dioses. Papantla Veracruz was founded by the indigenous people of Tuzapan, with the name of Papantla, which means “new moon”. With its hieroglyph of two bird feathers and the pantli (flag) sign, they are associated when referring to the bird called Papan, a kind of crow and tla which indicates abundance and "Place of Papanes", (birds of bright-colored native to the region) meaning "place of very noisy birds". According to the Totonac legend, the Gods said to men: "Dance, we will watch". The bird-men or "flyers" (voladores) are a Mexican tradition consisting of a spectacular dance made to please the Gods.

El volador principal, el músico, baila en la parte superior del poste y gira hacia los cuatro puntos cardinales, comenzando por el Oriente pues es ahí donde se origina la vida, donde nace el sol. The flute represents the singing of the birds and the drum represents the voice of God. This dance is also a symbol of the four cardinal points (the four sided platform and the four flyers). The main flyer, the musician, dances on the top of the pole and rotates toward the four cardinal points, starting in the Orient, for it is here where life originated, where the sun rises.

Each flyer rotates 13 times; this figure multiplied by the 4 flyers gives 52 circles in total, which according to the Mayan calendar a solar cycle is formed every 52 years. Each year is composed of 52 weeks, after which a new sun is born and life continues its course. Bearers of an ancient tradition which at times seems to be more of a show than a ceremony, the Voladores of Papantla (Papantla Flyers) still share the faith to take to the skies in search of a collective bonanza, encouraged by a single conviction: the call of blood.

Tajín Enigmático sitio su zona Arqueológica de El Tajín perteneciente a la cultura totonaca es "La ciudad de los Muertos y de los truenos en tempestad", es uno de los centros religiosos más importantes de Mesoamérica. Surgió en un periodo entre el 800 al 1150 de nuestra era. En su superficie de 105,555 kilómetros cuadrados se levantan 165 edificios y 17 juegos de pelota. With an enigmatic archaeological area, El Tajin, which belongs to the Totonac culture is "the city of the dead and of the thunder in the storm". It is one of the most important religious centers of Mesoamerica; it emerged in a period between 800 and 1150 of our era and on its surface of 105.555 square kilometers, 165 buildings and 17 pre-Hispanic ball game courts were built.
El principal cultivo en la zona es la vainilla de la cual los lugareños hacen figuras de vainilla que son una digna muestra de las habilidades de esas manos artesanas, consisten en vainas maduras y secas trenzadas de tal forma que reproducen la imagen de animales, plantas e imágenes religiosas. Aparte de resultar gratamente aromáticas, son un bello recuerdo decorativo. La gastronomía del lugar se compone básicamente de los siguientes antojitos regionales: Huatape de frijoles, mole de carne de puerco o gallina, frijoles en caldo con chícharo, pipián y cilantro, bollitos de anís, pulacles, tamales de fríjol y acoyotl, tamal de carne de puerco envueltos en hoja de plátano (corrientes), rellenos de camarones o guisados en pipián, totopos o chabacanos, variedad de atoles y las famosas enchiladas elaboradas con tortilla de maíz hecha a mano. Sus calles caprichosas, rincones pintorescos entre casas con techos de tejas, mansiones coloniales, sus sabores indígenas y su magnífica zona arqueológica hace de este pueblo mágico una visita obligada al viajero.

The main crop in the area is vanilla from which the locals make vanilla figures that are a worthy sample of the artisan hands´ skills. They are made of mature dry pods, braided in such a way they reproduce the image of animals, plants and religious images. Besides from being pleasantly aromatic, they are a beautiful decorative souvenir. The gastronomy of the area basically consists of the following regional Mexican snacks (antojitos): bean huatape soup, pork or chicken mole, beans in broth with peas, pipian and cilantro, rolls of anise, pulacles tamales, tamales of bean and acoyotl, pork meat tamales wrapped in banana leaf (corrientes), stuffed with shrimp, pipian stew, tortilla chips or apricots, a variety of atoles (corn based beverages) and the famous enchiladas made with hand-made corn tortillas. Its capricious streets, picturesque corners between houses with tiled roofs, colonial mansions, its indigenous flavors and its magnificent archaeological zones make of this magic village an obligated visit for travelers.

The highest biodiverse arid zone on Earth is in Sonora and It Is the Pinacate and the Great Desert of Altar. MEZCAL la tradición reencontrada a rediscovered tradition La palabra Mezcal tiene su origen en vocablos de la lengua náhuatl. Algunos sostienen que deriva de “mexcalli” cuya traducción sería maguey cocido, los viejos abuelos chupaban como dulce las pencas del maguey cocido, aunque el mezcal sea posterior al pulque, tiene su mito: un rayo, al golpear un agave, fue quien hizo la primera tatema, de ahí que se le considere la bebida llegada del cielo. Las evidencias arqueológicas indican que hace más de 10,000 años los grupos nómadas y seminómadas utilizaban distintos tipos de agave para la extracción de fibras y como alimento.
Las distintas clases de mezcal dependen del maguey y el clima, de la tierra donde se cuezan las piñas, de la técnica de destilación y donde repose esta mítica bebida, la variedad de sabores, aromas y texturas dependen de estos factores.
The word Mezcal has its origin in the Nahuatl language. Some argue that the name derives from "mexcalli" which translated would mean cooked maguey. Old grandparents used to eat the cooked maguey as a sweet, and although mezcal dates back after the pulque, it carries a myth in which at the time when lightning hit an agave plant, the first burning (tatema) was made, hence it is considered the drink that came from heaven. Archaeological evidence indicates that more than 10,000 years ago the nomadic and seminomadic groups used different types of agave for the extraction of fibers and as food.

Su producción está íntimamente ligada a las complejas tradiciones y costumbres de la cultura popular, una festividad sin mezcal es inconcebible. El mezcal es “el aguita que hace hablar y como dice el refrán popular para todo mal mezcal y para todo bien … ¡también!

The variety of flavors, aromas and textures depend on these factors. Mezcal like so many other beverages was born not only for its ceremonial and festivity use, but also as a traditional medicine used to spray, rub and clean, in addition to its use when blessing the harvested cornfields. La Avenida Paseo Punto Sur va desde López Mateos hasta Camino Real a Colima; albergará área comercial, de entretenimiento, de servicios y residencial vertical. Es el nuevo proyecto de Tierra y Armonía y fue concebido como un centro urbano para vivir, trabajar y disfrutar en comunidad; también fue pensado en el peatón, en el ciclista y en la familia, con áreas para el arte y la cultura. Existirán esculturas creadas por Gelitin, un grupo de artistas austriacos conocidos por generar interacción entre el espectador y la obra. Pasó su infancia jugando con la escuadra y el restirador de su madre, terminando la preparatoria se fue a Florencia, Italia, donde estudió historia de la arquitectura, de regreso a México estudió arquitectura en el I.T.E.S.O. y su momento definitorio después de dos años de egresado fue al estudiar la maestría en el Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), ahí aprendió lo que era un instituto de investigación y a ver a la arquitectura como un arte técnico: “Ahi me metieron en mi A.D.N. que la tecnología existe para dejar el mundo mejor de como lo que encontramos”. Su doctorado lo realizo en Princeton. He spent his childhood playing with the set-square and his mother´s drafting table. Los platos llegan al centro de la mesa, donde compartir se vuelve una sensación de muchos sabores y texturas, La Plata nos deja un gran sabor de boca su cocina auténtica, su servicio atento y un sin fin de notas en el paladar, un lugar donde vale mucho la pena regresar a cualquier hora del día pero, sobre todo recomendar.
La Plata invites us to travel through Argentinean cuts of beef, the tradition of Italian cooking and the exquisite flavors of the Mediterranean sea, from the hand of its privileged Chef Hugo Chavez, who makes of his kitchen a place of convergence between freshness and his flavor innovation, pairing it in perfect balance between tradition and evolution without forgetting the peculiarity of the Mexican diner.
This time he has surprised us with a steak accompanied with onions, grilled chilies and a Mendoza salad, a 4/6 "La Plata" Octopus with the traditional Chef’s recipe of grilled onions and stuffed with Lion's Paw Scallops, and if that's not enough, to satisfy our craving he pampers us with a grilled Norwegian salmon along with a vegetable risotto with prepared butter.
A good glass of wine gives way for Chef Hugo Chavez to come closer to our table to either give us a recommendation or ask him to improvise a dish for us, which in term excites him and provides a unique touch to our visit.
