A Jewish wedding was a happy time. People ate and drank for many days. Food and wine were abundant. At one wedding, however, the wine ran out. This was a huge embarrassment. Jesus was at this wedding. Did He care? What would He do?

Jesus and His disciples attended a wedding. Everybody was happy. The bride and groom smiled.

“They have no more wine,” she said.
耶稣的母亲来到他跟前。她忧心忡忡的,“他们没有酒了。”她说。

Jesus’ mother said to the servants, “Do what Jesus tells you to do.”

Jesus saw six stone water jars. Each jar held 80-120 litres.

Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water. The servants obeyed.

Then Jesus said to the servants, “Now take some out. Give it to the master of the banquet.”
接着,耶稣对仆人说:“现在可以舀出来,拿给管筵席的人。”

The water had been changed to wine. The master of the banquet tasted it. He did not know about the miracle.

水以经变成酒了。管筵席的人尝了酒。他并不知道这个神迹。
The master of the banquet said to the groom, “Everyone brings out the best wine first. Later, they bring out the cheaper wine. You have saved the best until now.”

Jesus’ disciples were amazed.
Jesus had shown His glory. His disciples trusted Him.
