After the Jewish people left their lives of slavery in Egypt, they celebrated the Passover Feast each year. They remembered the blood of a spotless lamb which their fathers had put on the doorposts of their homes. When the destroyer saw the blood, he passed by and did not kill their firstborn sons.

Jesus broke the bread and gave it to His disciples. He said, “Eat this, for it is My body.”
