ee Mani-Mitchell made international headlines in 2018 when she revealed to the media that she had healed her aggressive breast cancer illegally using full-extract cannabis oil (FECO).
After finding a lump that seemed to have appeared overnight, the British mother was diagnosed with Grade 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) in March 2017. TNBC is deemed the most aggressive type of breast cancer which medics believe can only be treated with a conventional toxic concoction of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. Controversially the pharmaceutical industry has ulterior motives when prescribing chemotherapy purely for cash gain as high commissions incentivize them for the drug. Dee had the firsthand experience of this after training to be a pharmacist for many years. Coupled with the fact that she had lost her sister to chemotherapy five years previous to her diagnosis, she decided to opt-out of the traditional treatments favoring a combination of natural methods. After researching alternative treatments online, she stumbled across cannabis oil and its reported benefits. She found a 38
local supplier and began taking the oil every night by putting a tiny amount in an empty capsule and taking it before bed, which she described as “treating like a sleeping pill” due to its relaxing effects. Alongside the oil, she also used a range of immuneboosting and cancer-fighting supplements, changed her diet to plant-based, and fueled her body with nutrition from juicing. Meditation and grounding were also part of her protocol. Dee was given the all-clear in August 2017, just four months after using FECO, claiming that her win over cancer was mainly due to the cannabis oil. Dee said, “'Because of what happened to my sister, there was no way I was having chemo/radiotherapy. At first, when I spoke to the doctor, I agreed to everything I was told. I said I'd have one year’s worth of treatment, but at the time, I
wasn’t thinking straight, and my oncologist tried to rush my decision to sign the treatment plan consent form. However, I did my research into alternative healing, and based on the survival rate of TNBC, I knew I had a much better chance of survival without the use of toxic pharmaceutical drugs”. Dee also details how her oncologist very casually informed her that she would be dead within a year for refusing the medicine. Dee has now been cancer-free for almost four years and has since written an Amazon bestselling book detailing her cancer journey called "My Way.” She has also completed many medical marijuana courses, so she’s fully equipped with the knowledge to help other cancer patients and has found herself as a cannabis advocate due to the large following she has. The majority of her time is now spent supporting and mentoring other sufferers with their healing journeys. Dee is also a columnist for two medical marijuana publications where she writes to help raise further awareness by highlighting true life stories of different illnesses healed by cannabis oil. Every year almost 12,000 people die from breast cancer in the UK alone. In the USA, the figure is four times that. Stories
