Roswell Museum and Art Center

The Roswell Museum and Art Center opened its doors to the public in 1937 as a Federal Art Center under the auspices of FDR's Works Progress Administration. It is among only a handful of WPA art centers that exist today. The Museum is known for its unparalleled collections that include modern works from the Taos and Santa Fe Art colonies, contemporary art of New Mexico, the Robert H. Goddard Collection of Liquid Propellant Rocketry, and the Aston Collection of the American West.
