1. What made Ray White Black Group Realty stand out among the other offices ?

2. Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
I see myself training new agents through a 3-6 month apprenticeship that I will integrate into my business. I want to form partnerships with agents and help as many homeowners as much as possible.
3. What's the most valuable lesson you learned in real estate that you'll bring to your new role?
The only way to grow is to just do it. Start today, not tomorrow. Start manifesting by saying you can do it. A growing mindset is free to adopt but the results are abundant.
4. Can you share a memorable client interaction that shaped your approach to real estate?
I was checking in with a buyer a few months ago to see if he was still in the market to buy. He said he bought in Westgate and was unfamiliar with the area. I told him I can give him recommendations of necessities that can be useful to know such as the fuel station, supermarkets and more. He was so touched by this that he said I made his day.
5. How do you stay motivated and maintain work-life balance in such a competitive industry?
I create a detailed to-do list that comprises of additional step by steps for each main task integrated into each time block into my Google Calendar the night before, and then wake up knowing exactly what I’m doing. I try to clock off early in the evening so I don’t think about work 24/7.
6. What's your strategy for building and maintaining client relationships?
Think of your clients as people that you want to help them move on with the next chapter of their life, such as recommending local shops that can be useful and practical for them.
7. If you could implement one innovative idea to improve the real estate process, what would it be?
Having a VA in the future once my business grows would be a game changer, both financially and definitely a time saver.
8. How do you see technology shaping the future of real estate, and how do you plan to stay ahead of the curve?
There will be more AI integrations which would cause uncertainty in terms of employment amongst agents in the next 5-10 years. There is AI calling that is yet to be perfected but it is the beginning. There will be more modifications and tweaks for AI callers to sound 100% humane and more natural flow in the call backs. It is not a replacement with agents of course, but I can see less human touch on the conversations in the future.
I plan to learn how AI analyses online behavior based on the data and interactions we have and how that would create a clientele of homeowners that would need my service.
9. Outside of work, what hobbies or interests help you recharge and bring fresh energy to your career?
I love reading non-fiction! A couple of books I would recommend are “Atomic Habits” by James Clear, which is an amazing book that teaches you how to adopt small habits in small simple steps. “Deep Work” by Cal Newport is a great book to read to learn how to work with zero distractions. Also reading a Korean book helps me reconnect with my roots, culture and improve my Korean.
Regular exercise is also what I enjoy doing and makes a noticeable difference in my energy and concentration.
10. Finally, what's one thing about you that your new colleagues might be surprised to learn?
My university friends and I started up a passion project at the St Heliers Church & Community Centre in 2022 called ‘The Terrific Trio & Co.’, which was a concert series that featured emerging classical music artists in Auckland. It was a great project that fueled our passions for Classical Music and most importantly, our community loved it!
