Human trafficking in the hospitality industry Earlier this year and before the Coronavirus took over media attention, some of the biggest hotel companies in the world were named in dozens of lawsuits alleging that they ignored clear signs of human trafficking at their resorts.

Resorts are often attractive locations for various forms of trafficking, but these kinds of activities also occur at sporting events, theme parks and on cruise ships. Traffickers are known to book rooms in hotels from anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks.

KAYNE STANISLAS Sandals Regency La Toc Baby Name: Talib Charles
Baby Age: 8 months
It was a big surprise that turned into an awesome bundle of joy. Kayne Stanislas could not have imagined the happiness that motherhood would bring. For the 31 year old Red Lane Spa Supervisor, kids were never a part of her future. But when her son Talib came along in February 2020, he brought new meaning to her life. “I never thought I would be a mother because I did not have children in my future,” Kayne revealed. “Being pregnant was unexpected nevertheless it was an awesome experience. Now I understand what people mean when they say it is true love, because it really is.” Talib is an active baby who is developing super-fast. At just 8 months old, he has already taken his first few steps, he’s learning to call his parents and, interestingly, has chosen a special spot at home where he likes hang out. “He is an awesome baby. He is a genius baby. He’s very active. Having him is the best feeling in the world.”
Kayne confesses that for Baby Talib, her only challenge has been his lack of interest in daytime naps.

Adrian Whitehead Today we’re keeping up with Sandals South Coast General Manager, Adrian Whitehead and we say ‘keeping up’ for good reason as the only thing that rivals him on the go is perhaps his witty English humour. When he’s not pounding the pavement across Sandals South Coast’s 50 acres, Adrian is quite the avid globe trotter with a passion for people and culture, it’s probably one of the reasons he hasn’t left the Caribbean since dropping anchor here 22 years. If you aren’t quick on your feet, you might miss Adrian, but once you catch him, you’ll love his undying optimism and the

sheer joy with which he embraces life and all its goodness.

GM SPOTLIGHT
Facts about Adrian: 1. The some-times vegetarian, absolutely loves to cook and is actually really good in the kitchen, especially when it comes to utilizing the bounty of the land; we’re talking everything from passionfruit meringue pies and ackee cakes to breadfruit punch and guinep juice. Yes, his dishes are to die for but be cautious of his Christmas cake, as he gets very heavy-handed with the rum. 2. So what do you do when you’ve prepared a spread that rivals the last super? Invite friends over for a feast, and that happens to be the other thing that Adrian loves to do; entertain guests and his diamond level guests, management team and friends from all spheres are no stranger to his house parties. 3. Adrian is two breaths shy of an adrenaline junkie so naturally his loves fast cars, driving fast, insanity work-outs, riding his bike to work, and even though he’s deathly afraid of heights, he dreams of jumping out of a plane and not to mention he influenced the creation of Sandals
