"Genrefication" We have recently "genrefied" the Senior Library collection at Pluit Village! What is genrefication? Genrefication is organizing a library by genre (or type of literature), more like a bookstore, to enable students to find materials more easily. By way of example, rather than The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien being shelved with all of the other fiction books under T for Tolkien, it's instead put in a section with the other Fantasy books. Students don't often know the names of the authors that write the types of books they're looking for, but they do know that they're interested in a mystery or historical fiction or science fiction or... The Senior Library collection is now arranged to help them best find what they're most interested in reading, and we hope it helps them a good book to read! Here are the "Book Genres" we are using:
