The team would like to thank all of you for your trust and confidence in them. They are looking forward to helping all of you meet your sporting needs and make the Football Section even greater!

GRASSROOTS COACHING COURSE AT SCC One of the first tasks which the Section Committee engaged in was the Grassroots Coaching Course. Our Club collaborated with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) to conduct a two-day grassroot coaching course for our Members. This is also the first time that the FAS has collaborated with an affiliated National Football League (NFL) club. The course was held from 17-18 April, 8am to 4pm daily, and it was conducted by two of FAS’ Grassroot Coach Developers, Ngiap Tai and Shasi Kumar. We are proud to announce that 16 of our Section Members participated in the course which aims to upgrade their skillsets so that they are able to conduct grassroots coaching sessions. The topics covered on the two days included practical sessions such as running, striking of the ball, first touches and also 1v1.

FRIENDLY MATCHES AND COMPETITIONS In April, our Section organised a 4v4 friendly against our neighbour, the Singapore Recreation Club (SRC). The friendly also served as a pilot project for future friendly matches. The event was a success and SCC teams from the various age groups of 45+ / 50+ and 60+ fared well by winning the majority of the games. Our SCC NFL and SCC Tigers boys are participating in the British 4s Open and Masters Tournament which are being held every Saturday at the Tanglin Trust School (TTS). Please follow our page on Instagram @SCCFootballSection to catch the latest results and to see how our boys are doing. All the best for the rest of the season, lads!
