HALLOWED LAWNS OF THE PADANG TO THE RESCUE The renovation of the national hockey stadium at Sengkang and its predecessor Delta also going down for renewal a few months before has left the hockey fraternity with limited training venues and slots to prepare for the 2020 season. The all conquering COVID-19 has continued to threaten the cancellation of much of the hockey season, having already consumed the National Junior Leagues in January and February and the SCC International Hockey 6s in late February and early March. We are sure that we can stay strong and come back stronger. During this time we have learnt to be innovative and can deal with many a situation. Stay Safe everyone!

The highlight of all these so-called back-to-your-roots grass sessions was the February monthly social which was held on what would have been the opening day of the SCC International 6s. The Section formed eight teams and played a mini 6-a-side tournament complete with guest of honour for each of the four finals. A massive social was held right after and all those that came truly had a great time. Our junior boys and girls were top of the table and looking good to win Boys and Girls National Junior League title before the championship was cancelled due to COVID-19.
