Helsinki; like visiting popular viewing platforms, taking a tour on a bus, or sailing on a boat to the nearest islands. Several times each day from Kauppatori square, boats regularly sail to the world famous fortress of Suomenlinna, Vallisaari Island and the zoo located at Korkeasaari. Brightly painted excursions buses start their journeys from Senate Square several times each day and you can take one to travel around the city, listening to a commentary on the architecture and history of Helsinki and taking in the lively atmosphere. Helsinki is, deservedly, considered the greenest and cleanest metropolis in the whole world. One third of its territory is covered with parks, gardens and green areas — surrounded by the sea on three sides out of four. There are 42 reserve areas, including the most famous — the Nuuksio National Park. The variety of lakes, rocks, ravines, dense woods, swamps, unique flora and fauna combine to create a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in and enjoy the unspoiled Northern nature. Nearby, the building of the Finnish nature exhibition center named ‘Halita’ is located. Helsinki is an ideal destination for a family holiday, offering a wide variety of activities and attractions for all ages, such as amusement park Linnanmäki, sea world Sealife, Helsinki SkyWheel, science museum Heureka and zoo Korkeasaari.
