Fun Rubber Plasteco rinnova Bact,gil nuovo ed innovativo la copertura granulo batteriostatico pger i campi perdacampi padel in erba sintetica creato da Pentaplast La pandemia da Covid-19 ha intensificato l’esigenza di vivere in ambienti più igienizzati e sicuri, compreso il contesto sportivo. Per questa ragione Pentaplast, azienda specializzata nella produzione di intasi per superfici sportive in erba sintetica, ha creato un nuovo granulo in SBR nobilitato batteriostatico, in collaborazione con il laboratorio di Analisi e Ricerche Lebsc srl. Grazie alla ricerca effettuata, è stato possibile agire sul coating che riveste la superficie dei granuli in SBR, inserendo una miscela di sali inorganici di Zn 2+ che possono essere utilizzati per alterare la carica elettrica superficiale dei materiali polimerici sintetici. L’alterazione della carica elettrica superficiale favorisce l’attività antimicrobica poiché inibisce l’adesione e la formazione di biofilm. In questo modo, senza alterare le proprietà chimico-fisiche già riconosciute di Fun Rubber, si ottiene un intaso che non contiene biocidi o sostanze tossiche, dove microrganismi come batteri non riescono a riprodursi, e quindi non possono crescere. E’ stato provato che la riduzione media dell’attività batterica su prodotti trattati con l’additivo presente nel Fun Rubber Bact è compresa tra il 90 - 99%. Questa azione batteriostatica di Fun Rubber Bact è dimostrata con test di Laboratorio e con Certificazione Labosport. Oltre a questo, grazie a Fun Rubber Bact, si è raggiunto un secondo importante risultato: l’alterazione della carica elettrica elimina lo sgradevole comportamento elettrostatico dei componenti granulari sulle superfici dei campi in erba sintetica. Pentaplast sta svolgendo ulteriori test previsti dal Regolamento LND 2018 per poter utilizzare Fun Rubber Bact su tutte le superfici sportive in erba sintetica dei campi LND in Italia. Ancora una volta, la volontà e lo sforzo dell’azienda sono di poter contribuire, in modo oggettivo e significativo, alla salute e alla sicurezza degli atleti e di tutti coloro che svolgono attività sportiva su campi in erba sintetica.

Fun Rubber Bact, the new and innovative bacteriostatic granule for artificial turf fields created by Pentaplast The Covid 19 pandemic has intensified the need to live in safer, more hygienic environments, especially in the Sports context. To address this need, Pentaplast - a company specialized in the production of infill for synthetic turf sports surfaces - has created a cutting-edge bacteriostatic SBR granule, in collaboration with the Lebac srl analysis and research laboratory. The extensive research conducted has made it possible to act on the coating that covers the surface of the SBR granules. A mixture of inorganic salts of Zn 2+ is inserted into the coating, which can be used to alter the surface electric charge of synthetic polymeric materials. Altering the surface electrical charge enhances antimicrobial activity by inhibiting adhesion and biofilm formation. In this way, without altering the already recognised chemical-physical properties of Fun Rubber, a filler is obtained that does not contain biocides or toxic substances, where microorganisms such as bacteria cannot reproduce, and therefore cannot grow. It has been proven that the average reduction of bacterial activity on products treated with the additive present in Fun Rubber Bact is between 90 - 99%. This bacteriostatic action of Fun Rubber Bact is proven by laboratory tests and Labosport certification. Additionally, Fun Rubber Bact provides a second key benefit: the alteration of the electrical charge eliminates the unpleasant electrostatic behaviour of the granular components on artificial turf surfaces. Pentaplast is carrying out further tests required by the 2018 LND Regulations in order to be able to use Fun Rubber Bact on all synthetic turf sports surfaces on LND pitches in Italy.
