s part of the 24th Annual Run for Tomorrow event put on by The Rotary Club of Weston, the citizens of Weston are invited to join the “Get Fit Challenge”. The challenge is for participants to collectively amass 1 Million Get Fit minutes between November 6th and December 5th through multiple fitness activities throughout the City of Weston. The Rotary Club of Weston and the City of Weston have an impressive line up of events that are open to the public including: The 24th Annual Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Run for Tomorrow Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay, 10K and 5K runs, and the Commission Cup 1 Mile Family Walk. The Fun & Health Festival will take place immediately after the runs/walk. It is a free community fitness festival open to everyone! Race participation is not required. Visit a variety of booths featuring health & wellness products/services, children’s activities, health check-ups and more. Earn additional minutes towards the
Get Fit Challenge and earn more chances to win Raffle prizes by visiting the booths and completing booth activities! The Run for Tomorrow is the oldest, largest, most successful health and wellness event in Weston. Over the years, the Rotary Club’s Run for Tomorrow has realized over $1,000,000 in proceeds for charities serving local needs, as well as humanitarian projects in other countries and polio eradication programs through The Rotary Foundation. Kick off the 2021 Rotary Run events by registering for the 1 Million Minutes to Fitness Challenge. Collect minutes to earn chances to win raffle prizes and ultimately the Grand Prize, a Playstation 5 set ($1,000 approx. value). Run Participants will receive a beautiful die-cast participation medal, a dri-fit runner’s shirt and there will be medals for the best runners. The 1 Mile Walk participation is free (register with child’s school) and all registered children will receive a Commission Cup T- Shirt.
