I CAN’T HELP BUT wonder…
how summer is already coming to a close! But before we get to that, let’s talk about our new issue—our fall fashion special—that I’m so excited for all of you to get your hands and eyes on.
Fashion has always been something I’ve loved. I want to say it’s my passion, but that phrase is as groundbreaking as florals for spring—see what I did there? I grew up in New York City and attended summer classes at FIT. I’ve always loved walking around clothing stores on the Upper East Side (RIP Barneys—it still gets me now) and discovering unique boutiques downtown. But I also appreciate the Hamptons fashion scene. It’s a mix of major and local brands, kind of the best of both worlds. And with the new fall season upon us, it’s time to recap a wonderful summer, and look ahead into September—and beyond.
Our cover star is none other than Sex and the City creator Candace Bushnell. She’s an absolute talent and, of course, a fashion darling. I met Candace at an event last summer, and I truly felt like I was meeting Carrie Bradshaw. It turns out, I was! Because Carrie Bradshaw is indeed Candace Bushnell. More on
that in our exclusive interview on page 36. Also in this issue: a look at some of the newest and most buzz-worthy fashion brands of the moment; leopard-print musthaves; a peek behind the scenes at UOVO Fashion, an amazing service for storing your clothes; and lots and lots of fun summer party recap moments. Plus, get your tips, tricks, and words of wisdom from our “Spotters” for one last time this summer.
Thank you to all our advertisers for supporting us in our third year. From our national and international brands to our local clients, we appreciate
you choosing to work with Spotlight! And as always, we’re so thankful for our readers. Each and every issue-release weekend is such a thrill as you make our copies disappear from the streets all over town, and we can’t wait to bring you more of Spotlight later this year. Remember, we’re in Palm Beach and Miami, too!
Have a great rest of your summer and a wonderful autumn. Be sure to tag us with a pic of you and your copy on Instagram!

MEET SIENNA GRUSS
19-Year-Old Hamptons Singer
How did you get into music? My dad signed me up for drum lessons when I was around 4, which I took for the next eight years, then I added piano and guitar. I used to take this cute class called School of Rock. I was always the drummer and keyboardist, but one day they put me on vocals, and I surprised everyone. Musical theater and singing became a big part of my life after that. Your mom [Shoshanna Gruss] is a fabulous fashion designer. Did you ever think of going the fashion route?
SOUTHAMPTON ARTS CENTER “COUPLES SQUARED” INSTALLATION
The Southampton Arts Center’s newest installation “Couples Squared,” curated by Phyllis Tuchman, is inspired by algebra and medieval alchemical magic. The exhibition features portraits, figures, landscapes, and seascapes. The installation will run until September 14.
I absolutely love fashion, and it’s a big part of who I am. I grew up sitting in my mom’s office, watching her make mood boards and drawing sketches. While dressing up and styling clothes is a huge part of my identity, music has always overrode all my other passions. Best piece of advice your mother has given you? She always told me that as long as I’m doing something I love and have a talent for, I’ll never feel like it’s not for me. If you keep hitting walls, you just keep moving forward until the right door is in front of you. Who are your musical inspirations?
My top artists at the moment are Daniel Caesar, The Strokes, The Cranberries, Yebba, and Chappell Roan. What’s next for you?
I’ll head back to USC for my sophomore year. I’m in the musical theater BFA program there, and I’m loving it. I’m also currently working on my second album, which will be out before the end of the year.
Q&A WITH ROD CUMMINGS
Real Estate Agent, Saunders & Associates
You’re known for being a master at conceptualizing and renovating homes. What’s your No. 1 tip for this process? My rule for conceptualization is to always go big with inspiration and ideation. My rule for renovating is to stay as true as possible to any inherent design that already exists. How is the Hamptons real estate market right now? It continues to be much like the weather: quite hot and sticky. Renters and summer visitors are in place and wanting to look at purchase opportunities with typically last-minute notice. So many would-be buyers have lost out on things over the past few years and remain interested despite some fatigue. A few new listings seem to be coming on each week. My exclusive listings are getting multiple showing requests throughout the week while we, as realtors, are grappling with and finessing around some big-time changes in our professional practice and protocols that affect how we work with both buyers and sellers going forward. What can clients expect when working with you?
My professional motto is: “Exceptional service and proven results.” Want something done? Call me! As tough as this business can be—and it’s tough—I greet each day at the ready with a consistent attitude of “service with a smile” and “never let ’em see you sweat!”

INSPIRATIONAL READS FOR STYLE STARS ON TREND—AND THOSE WHO HOPE TO BE
Memoirs and coffee table books for aspiring fashionistas who aren’t there just yet! BY ZIBBY OWENS
Fall fashion is clearly a thing. Fashion Week clogs up city streets. Magazines are stuffed thick with ads and suggestions. The pre-sell orders are rushed up elevators all over Manhattan. For me, in the fall, I’m usually thinking more about back-to-school schedules and book releases than what to wear.
I’ve just never been that fashion-forward; I’m one of the last to adopt a trend and opt for my classic standbys. Perhaps that’s why I savor great fiction and memoirs set in the fashion world and flip through the heavy pages of beautiful coffee table books on the topic with a slow hand.
Think of this list as your amuse-bouche to the fashion world. And thanks but don’t bother saving me a seat at the next fashion show. I’d rather just read about it.

Wölffer Ways
FOR THE LOVE OF HORSES
It’s Hampton Classic season, and in celebration of the major East End happening, Joey Wölffer shares her passion for riding and caring for her favorite animals.
BY JOEY WÖLFFER
Many of you know me as the face and creative force behind Wölffer Estate Vineyard. Aside from co-owning the vineyard with my brother, Marc, being a mother to my two daughters, running my clothing store in Sag Harbor, and designing my label, Joey Wölffer Reworked, my greatest joy has always been riding horses. My love for horses runs deep. I started riding on my family’s
farm at the tender age of 6. At the time, we had moved from the city to the Hamptons, where my father purchased a potato farm. Our farm manager had a donkey and a pony, which sparked my initial interest in riding. My mother also rode horses, which further fueled my passion for the sport. Of course, I didn’t have a horse of my own, so I rode whatever was available on the farm. Eventually, I got my own pony and began training more seriously. However, it wasn’t until my
father passed away in 2008 that I decided to get my own horse.
Horses are such majestic and versatile animals, renowned for their strength, speed, and overall beauty. Historically used for transportation, work, and sport, they also make excellent companions. Their intelligence and sensitivity make them remarkable partners in equestrian sports and therapeutic riding, offering emotional and physical benefits. Don’t believe me? Try riding or bonding with a horse next time you feel under the weather. Their unique ability to form strong bonds with humans is extraordinary.
I dedicate at least one hour a day, five days a week, to riding my horses and improving my competitive jumps. It’s unspoken and built on risk, trust, love, and understanding. By learning to put yourself out there and take risks with your horse are qualities that can be carried with you anywhere.
My oldest daughter, Nell, tends to be quite anxious.
Watching her set aside her worries to enter the show ring and conquer a jump she once feared is an invaluable life lesson. This sport and these amazing animals foster resilience, and I firmly
believe that with resilience, you can achieve anything.
Today, my brother Marc, our sister Andrea, and I proudly own and manage Wölffer Estate Stables, a 100-acre equestrian center in the Hamptons. Our stables are a sanctuary of beauty and tranquility for both horses and riders. It features 70 stalls, 39 individual paddocks, four state-of-the-art riding rings, a resurfaced Olympicsize dressage ring, and a Grand Prix field with natural and traditional jumps. We hire only experienced staff who genuinely understand the horses’ needs, are fully committed to their
care, and are driven by a deep passion for the work.
Every aspect of our facility, from the Grand Prix field with its natural obstacles to the functionally designed barns and courtyard, was made with the horses in mind. This commitment to excellence is why Wölffer Estate Stables has become one of the premier riding facilities for hunters, jumpers, and dressage alike.
The Hampton Classic Horse Show, often referred to as the Hampton Classic, is a prestigious Grand Prix event and one of the largest horse show-jumping competitions in the United States. Held over Labor Day weekend in Bridgehampton, it’s one of the Hamptons’ most significant social events, of which Wölffer Estate Vineyard has been a proud sponsor since 1991.
The event marks the grand finale of the summer season and attracts top equestrians from around the world, including Olympic medalists and international champions. If you’re attending, be sure to visit the Joey Wölffer booth in Boutique Gardens to shop and say hello. We’d love to see you! T
END-OF-SEASON HAMPTONS GUIDE
Summer is always a crazy time, between juggling everyone’s busy schedules and fitting in everything we want to do in just a few short months, but Sarah Wetenhall never lets the season go by without visiting some of her favorite spots. BY
SARAH WETENHALL
Round Swamp Farm
Always my first stop in the Hamptons, Round Swamp Farm has the most delicious prepared foods and is the ultimate provisioning for houseguests. You can’t go wrong with anything there, but the fresh cinnamon rolls are an absolute must and make for a happy morning (or midnight) snack.
Le Bilboquet
One of my favorite restaurants in New York and Palm Beach, Le Bilboquet Sag Harbor offers the same fab French fare and familiar faces but with sweeping harbor views. It’s a great spot for sunset cocktails followed by dinner on the patio.
Sag Pizza
Whether it’s a late lunch after the beach or a casual dinner, Sag Pizza’s wide selection of pastas and pizzas (not to mention its gluten-free and cauliflower crusts), make it the perfect spot for an easy and tasty meal.
Big Olaf’s
After Sag Pizza, we never miss an opportunity to indulge a bit
more by walking the Sag Harbor Pier for ice cream at Big Olaf’s. The twist soft serve in a waffle cone and the peanut butter frozen yogurt are two favorites.
Breakwater Yacht Club
This not-for-profit community sailing center in Sag Harbor is an incredible resource for anyone interested in learning how to sail. It offers junior programs, private and group lessons for all ages, weekly racing, and more. Memberships are open to everyone and are well worth it if you’re planning on spending a stretch of time Out East in the summer.
The Crow’s Nest
Montauk has a different vibe than the rest of the Hamptons. We love to visit The Crow’s Nest, one of our favorite places there. This quaint hotel and restaurant on the edge of Lake Montauk, owned by Sean MacPherson and his lovely wife Rachelle, is adorned with Adirondack chairs on a sprawling lawn by the shore, tea lights, fire pits, sunset cocktails, and beautiful people everywhere you turn.
Sunset Beach
Sunset Beach on the Shelter Island Sound is great for a day of boating. This iconic hotel and
restaurant feel more like a beach club in the South of France than it does a Hamptons getaway. We love to spend the morning cruising around and swimming in the Sound before anchoring near shore for a Mediterraneaninspired meal and bottles of wine with family and friends.
Nature Trail in East Hampton
Affectionately called the “duck pond” by locals, this woodsy 24acre nature walk, maintained by the Ladies Village Improvement Society, is a beautiful way to connect with nature and wildlife. It’s been a special place for my children and a quiet, peaceful slice of East Hampton that allows us all to slow down.
Pop Up Bagels
One of our favorite partners at The Colony Palm Beach has taken up residency in Amagansett this summer. Pop-Up Bagels has the most deliciously doughy bagels. They are an absolute crowdpleaser and the perfect way to feed a house full of guests. Yoga with Erika Halweil at Yoga Shanti
Extraordinarily purifying and clarifying, Erika’s vinyasa practice is the palate cleanser
we all need during the intense Hamptons season. Whenever I practice with Erika, I feel lighter, stronger, and ready to jump back into the beautiful chaos that is summer in the Hamptons!
Henry Lehr
No trip to the Hamptons is complete without some shopping. Henry Lehr has several locations throughout the Hamptons, and is known for having a great casual edit of men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and more.
Coniglio Palm Beach
This is one of my favorite shops on the Island. It’s known for its free-size, bohemian-inspired resortwear. Coniglio opened its doors in Southampton for the season and is a must-visit shop for anyone who loves authentic, and easy-to-wear pieces.
This is just a slice of all of the wonderful things the Hamptons has to offer. Just be sure to also prioritize time outside enjoying the beautiful beaches, which by far are the area’s greatest attraction. T
5 FASHION TIPS FOR YOUR FIRST DATE
Cuffing season is right around the corner, which means many potential first dates could be in your future. Here are some recommendations on what to wear for a night out with someone new! BY LINDSEY METSELAAR
September is almost here!
It’s my favorite month, and my birthday month! And the best part about September is that it’s finally cooling down a bit, yet you can still wear amazing clothes without needing a jacket. No matter what month it is, fashion is a huge part of dating. What you wear on a first date counts. This is the first impression you’re giving your date, and it’s important to accurately represent yourself, while also feeling confident in your own skin. Here are my fashion tips to take into your next first date.
1. Don’t Put Everything Out There
You know the phrase, “If you’ve got it, flaunt it”? Well, in this case, don’t. I’m not suggesting you wear a turtleneck (although it could be a look), but it’s important to leave some things
to the imagination here. You don’t want to send the wrong message on a first date, and
No one is going to know you’ve worn it multiple times. If you know something looks good,
you certainly don’t want your date asking you on a second date only because he likes the goods and not who you are as a person.
2. Stick With the Tried and True
We all have that one top that’s so flattering that every time we wear it we get multiple compliments. Why not make yourself feel good and wear it on first dates?
that’s already half the battle and takes away a ton of potential first-date anxiety.
3. Ditch the High Heels
Trust me, I’m all about a high heel. But it’s important to even the playing field on a first date, and it’s possible your date lied about his height. Ditching the high heels is a win for everyone involved. Stick with a smaller kitten heel, comfortable flats, or even sneakers.
4. Sweatpants are a No I live in sweatpants. And yes, I’ve been guilty of wearing them outside the house on more than one occasion. However, you need to show your date some respect. Wearing sweatpants to a date is a big “F YOU!” It shows that you didn’t care enough about them to actually plan and put on an outfit.
5. Flashy Is Trashy
No one likes big flashy labels, but especially on a first date. Unless you want to send the message that you’re high maintenance and expect overthe-top treatment, you can leave your loud clothing at home. Again, we’re trying to focus on the bare bones of truly getting to know each other. Plus, your date will 100 percent judge you if you’re wearing a belt with two huge golden G’s on it.
Whatever you end up wearing for a first meeting, the most important thing to remember is to treat the interaction like you’re making a new friend. Keep your expectations low, and at the very least you’ll learn something new about someone and possibly have a fun new experience.
For more first-date tips and other rules to consider, you can follow @wemetatacme on Instagram or listen to “We Met At Acme” wherever you find podcasts. And if you’re looking for fashion recommendations, check out my IG Stories, where I post links. Happy fall and happy dating! T

TAKING HOME A BIT OF LOCAL FLAVOR
As we cling to those last rays of East End sunshine, many of us are sorry to see the season waning. Here are some souvenirs that are the perfect way to cure that summertime sadness.
BY STEPHANIE NASS
At the end of the summer, it’s hard to part with our slice of heaven, but it helps to bring a piece of the Hamptons back to the city. From tasty treats to unique mementos, there are so many items that make perfect gifts or reminders of your time spent in this beautiful part of Long Island.
GOURMET FOOD
Extend your indulgence in the Hamptons’ culinary delights by bringing back gourmet treats. Artisanal cheeses from Mecox Bay Dairy, bags of cookies from Round Swamp Farm, honey from the Hamptons Honey Company, and freshly roasted coffee beans from Jack’s Stir Brew in Amagansett are examples of products that travel well.
FASHION
The Hamptons is known for its upscale boutiques and designer shops. If you’ve been eyeing a pair of sunglasses at Loewe or a dress at Valentino, buy them as a consolation for the passage of time. You’ll remember the splurge as part of a happy memory.
BRANDED MERCHANDISE
For a classic souvenir, pick up items branded with the East End’s iconic logos or landmarks. Amber Waves Farm baseball caps appear in faraway airports, and Harry’s Challah T-shirt at Fairview Farm gives a good chuckle. These items are not only practical but also serve as a more explicit reminder of your visit.
LOCAL BOOKS AND MAGAZINES
Take home a piece of our community’s literary culture
by picking up books written by local authors or any of the many magazines. Whether it’s a cookbook featuring recipes from local chefs or a coffeetable book showcasing the region’s natural beauty, these publications provide insight into the Hamptons’ unique charm. T

FABULOUS ABSOF*CKINLUTELY
It’s no secret that Sex and the City redefined pop culture in the ’90s and has remained a phenomena and favorite for people of all ages around the globe for nearly 30 years.
Of course, we have its creator Candace Bushnell, our fall fashion issue cover star, to thank.
The talented and prolific writer has been at the helm of multiple hits in addition to SATC, including her novels Lipstick Jungle, The Carrie Diaries, as well her one-woman show, True Tales of Sex, Success, and Sex and the City. And stayed tuned, because Bushnell is far from done yet!
BY SYDNEY SADICK | PHOTOGRAPHY BY CARLY GABRIEL
Candace, it’s been almost 30 years since your “Sex and the City” column was adapted into a hit book and TV series. What’s it like reflecting on that time?
I’ve done so much since I started writing the “Sex and the City” column back in 1994. I’ve had numerous best-selling novels, I’ve been involved in five TV shows, and I now perform a one-woman show I wrote during the pandemic all over the world, called True Tales of Sex, Success, and Sex and the City
I’ve been to South Africa, the U.K., Italy, Canada, and coming up in December, Australia. I’m also touring the show around the Northeast this fall.
You’re on a roll! So how did you first sell the SATC concept to producer Darren Star?
Well, I didn’t sell the concept to anyone. Hollywood came to me. “SATC” was a hit column in The New York Observer, so it was on a lot of people’s radar. After I’d written about the fifth column, I began to get interest from TV and movie studios, who wanted
to adapt it into something for the screen. HBO was interested, ABC was interested, New Line, Fine Line.… I flew out to L.A. first-class to have meetings (those were the days) and stayed at the Chateau Marmont. I ended up selling the book to Darren Star because he was a friend, and I thought he was funny.
How quickly did you realize you had a hit on your hands?
I knew the column was a hit because everyone was talking about it, reading it on the Jitney
on their way to the Hamptons, and faxing it to their friends in L.A. With the show, it took a couple of years. After the second season, people began telling me that lots of people were talking about it. It just grew organically into a hit.
How much does New York play a role in who you are today?
I actually grew up in Connecticut when I was a little girl, and I always knew I would someday move to New York and be a writer. And I think part of it
was because I would read about New York so much in children’s books, and then I just loved the glamour of it. I ran away from college when I was 18 and moved to New York. But, you know, the old “$20 in my pocket” story and I just immediately fell in love with the city, like so many
people did and felt like this is a place where I should be.
Fans have watched SATC dozens if not hundreds of times. Do you watch the reruns?
Of course, I watched the pilot, and I watched the show, but I I haven’t watched it a hundred
times, like a lot of the real fans have.
Why did you eventually stop consulting on the show?
I worked in the writer’s room for the first two years. At that time, I also wrote my second book, 4 Blondes, which ended up becoming a huge New York
Times bestseller. Shortly thereafter, I got a phone call: How would you like a milliondollar contract to write a book— all of which I talk about in my one-woman show. So I did what any sensible person would do when offered a million-dollar contract to write a book:
I hightailed it out to the country and got to work writing novels. And that certainly paid off! What’s your favorite SATC episode of all time?
I will always love the pilot because so many of the actor’s lines and Carrie’s voice-over comes right from the book. When I see that episode, it’s always a huge nostalgia trip of remembering exactly who I was, where I was, and what my life was like back in the mid-’90s.
“Carrie Bradshaw wasn’t inspired by me— she was me— my alter ego, in the beginning.”
Carrie Bradshaw was inspired by you. How do you relate to the evolution of her character in today’s And Just Like That… sequel?
Carrie Bradshaw wasn’t inspired by me—she was me— my alter ego, in the beginning. Of course, the show has evolved and changed, and I love it all. AJLT… is such a fun show, and it’s a thrill that audiences still want to see those characters. And they still want to talk about it! I personally am looking forward to seeing if Carrie ends up back with Aidan. And I’m loving all the set photos of the costumes this year. Are you dating anyone right now?
I’m not. I occasionally go on dates but dating—seeing someone over and over again? No. I don’t have time, like so many other people I meet. Everyone is always traveling, working, scrolling—although I’m sure if I met the “right person” it would all fall into place.
Do you prefer dating in the Hamptons or NYC?
They’re both tricky because I go to a lot of events and parties in both the Hamptons and NYC. Honestly, if you want to date me you have to like going to events. I don’t want to sit at home and Netflix and chill. You’ve performed globally and, of course, in the Hamptons. Do you enjoy acting versus being behind the scenes?
If you’re a novelist, you’re not “behind the scenes.” You’re front and center, the creative force. Every decision made in a novel is made by the author, and there are billions of decisions that must be made when writing a novel. So the reality is that I’m never behind the scenes, which is why performing in my own show actually makes sense for me.
Would you ever consider going on a reality show? You’re friends with some of the New York Housewives! I’m actually working on a dating reality show right now that’s in the early stages of development. So the answer is yes, I will do a reality show—hopefully in the near future! T

MEET THE CO-CHAIRS OF FIT’S COUTURE COUNCIL LUNCHEON
The official kickoff to NYFW, the Fashion Institute of Technology’s 2024 Couture Council luncheon, is back. This year, the Couture Council will honor designer Simon Porte Jacquemus, and co-chairs Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz and Sarah Wetenhall are at the helm. Get to know the ladies with us. BY
SYDNEY SADICK AND EMILY WHITE
Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz Founding editor-in-chief of Vogue Arabia and founder of D’NA
How did your involvement with FIT come about?
I’ve been friends with [FIT Director] Valerie [Steele] for a long time and have admired her for many years. The reason I wanted to join the Couture Council is because I largely admire FIT and its museum specifically. This is a publicly run school, and it doesn’t have private funding. I thought it was imperative to try to help them in the best way that I can. Why did you decide to honor Simon Porte Jacquemus? It wasn’t just my decision, of course. However, to stay current, it’s important to
acknowledge the young generation.
JACQUEMUS is incredible in its trajectory. This young man was truly able to set himself apart. Tell us about your latest projects! I just launched my own website and a multitude of different channels within it. It’s a community of likeminded people on a global scale. It’s got everything from deep articles to podcasts to playlists. Check it out at deenathe1st.com.
Do you have any interest in getting back into print?
The reason I took the job at Vogue Arabia at the time was because it was absolutely symbolic. It mattered that we would have a book representing us. Nowadays, I think the only way I’d be interested in a print operation would be if it’s a very special print. If it’s something that you feel you really want to keep, that’s never going to die. What do you love about autumn in NYC?
NYC is always going to be my favorite city in the entire world. I used to say if it’s not in New York, it’s not worth seeing. I have always been hopelessly in love with it. There’s always something new, and there’s always something to do.
Sarah Wetenhall President and owner of The Colony Hotel
How special is it for you to be co-chair of this year’s Couture Council?
I’ve served as a trustee of the Couture Council for a couple of years. My background is in the fashion industry. I spent more than a decade in the PR and marketing side. Fashion has long been something I’m passionate about, particularly American fashion and preserving its the history and heritage, which is what the Couture Council is so focused on. Having a successful luncheon, which will in turn support the museum at FIT, is something that’s near and dear to my heart.
Let’s dive deeper into your fashion roots!
I started out at Calvin Klein in the late ’90s. I did PR and marketing for the women’s collection. Not only was it my first job out of college, but it taught me all that I know about brand building. I jumped over to Dolce & Gabbana for a number of years, which has been fun because consequentially Dolce is with us now at The Colony. I also went to the agency side and worked with a number of different brands, including Jimmy Choo, Hugo Boss, and Juicy Couture. As the owner of The Colony Hotel, what are some things you consider while being a part of an event like this? There’s nothing like being in hospitality that teaches you how to throw a party. We consider all the fun and beautiful things, like who’s our honoree going to be, what are they going to say, all the colors, the napkins, and the flowers—that’s all the fun stuff. But I know just enough to also worry about the steps of service, what’s the timing of our entrée is going to be— all those logistics. What does New York Fashion Week look like for you this fall?
September is always a little tricky, but I generally manage to attend a few shows. Carolina Herrera is always a favorite! T
The annual Couture Council of The Museum at FIT luncheon will take place on September 4 at the David H.

HEALTH ESSENTIALS THAT GO SKIN DEEP
Meet Shannon Race, co-founder of Bio.me, a cutting-edge gut health and fiber supplement company that aims to change how we look at fibers and the importance of focusing on gut health. BY SYDNEY SADICK
Shannon, what inspired you to co-found Bio.me?
The conception of Bio.me stems from deeply personal journeys— my own lifelong battle with IBS and my dear friend Chloe Melas’s struggle with ulcerative colitis. Supplementing with fiber played a key role in our journeys to alleviate symptoms and begin to heal what was happening inside our bodies. Being so tapped into the wellness space during my time at Vital Proteins, it came as a shock that I had never considered fiber and the deficiencies in my diet as part of the problem. Fiber has long had an unsexy reputation, often associated with constipation and reactive health concerns.
Yet it’s a powerful nutrient for proactive wellness and essential to gut health.
Tell us about your product offerings.
We offer a range of products designed to support digestive wellness: Daily Prebiotic Fiber, our hero product, is an unflavored prebiotic fiber powder that promotes regularity and rebalances gut health. Our Fiber Rescue product is a psyllium husk fiber powder that provides regularity, bloating, and detox support. Our Synbiotic, a daily 3-in-1 capsule, is a powerful blend of prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics that support a healthy and balanced microbiome while also helping strengthen immune response. Our newest product, Gut Remedy is a great digestive system reset that uses a powerful blend of ingredients designed to flush out toxins and heavy metals.
Can you speak about America’s fiber crisis, and what Bio.me is doing to help?
In a world where two-thirds of American adults grapple with recurring digestive issues, and 95 percent fall short on fiber intake, gut health is more important than ever. Eating the recommended amount of fiber per day is actually quite difficult through diet alone. The goal with Bio.me is to reimagine the fiber space with products that speak to the modern consumer who wants simple, clean research-driven solutions to improve their gut health. The line has quite the celebrity following. Who have been some of your loyal supporters?
We feel incredibly fortunate to have celebrity fans like Christie Brinkley, Candice Swanepoel, and Tiffani Thiessen, as well as support from successful entrepreneurs and influencers like Rebecca Minkoff, Katie Sturino, and Kendall Toole. What’s next for Bio.me? We’re just getting started, so the sky’s the limit! We’re grateful to be able to educate consumers about the incredible benefits of fiber through our products and as we continue this journey, we’re excited to help people live their happiest and healthiest lives. T
DIGGING IN… WITH JOE ISIDORI OF ARTHUR & SONS
The Michelin-star award-winning chef has brought a slice of his Italian cooking to the heart of the Hamptons with his new location in Bridgehampton. And don’t worry, Arthur & Sons is sticking around after summer ends. The restaurant will be turning up the heat year-round. Yum!
BY SYDNEY SADICK
Joe, how did you originally discover your passion for making food?
I’m a third-generation New York City chef. It’s in my blood. It’s all I know how to do, and I truly love it.
Tell us about your family history!
My grandmother was a New York Times–rated chef in the 1960s and ’70s; my father is an acclaimed New York chef; and I’m a Michelin starred chef.
We have owned and operated restaurants in NYC since 1954.
What’s the backstory behind launching Arthur & Sons?
My father’s name is Arthur Joseph, my name is Joseph Arthur, and my son’s name is Roman Arthur. That’s where the term Arthur & Sons came from. We serve New York Italian food, which is special regional Italian American specific to New York City.
What makes your Italian food stand out?
It’s food that everyone loves to eat. We take old-school food and give it a new-school vibe.
What are some of the fan fave dishes?
Spicy rigatoni alla vodka and our famous chicken parm.
Why did you decide to open in the Hamptons this year?
What are you working on next?
This has always been a second home for me, so it was the perfect choice.
You have a loyal celebrity following. Who have been some of your famous supporters?
We have a lot of folks who have come through. We try to keep it quiet. But you can always check Page Six in The New York Post to see who’s been in.
Our search shows us one recent star—Jimmy Fallon! Will the restaurant stay open Out East year-round? Yes, it will.
What’s your guilty pleasure food?
Taco Bell. What are you looking forward to this fall?
This fall we will lean into the cooler weather. This is where our comfort food shines. There’s nothing better than a soulful macaroni dish in October.
Opening a West Palm Beach location!
Anything else we should know?
Now we can eat! T

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF DANIELLE CAROLAN
Influencer, co-host of the “Gals on the Go” podcast, and host of the IG series AM Uncovered Danielle Carolan shares what she’s been up to on the East End this summer. BY EMILY WHITE

How did you get started in the content creation space?

11:30 a.m.
I started my YouTube channel in 2010 filming makeup tutorials and showcasing my outfits of the day before heading to school. Over time, I transitioned to vlogging, sharing morning routines, Q&As, and everything in between. My audience has grown up with me, following along through each chapter of my life, making this journey incredibly special.
You’re the co-host of the “Gals on the Go” with Brooke Miccio and also host an Instagram series called AM Uncovered. Why did you decide to start both of these? Brooke and I started “Gals on the Go” while we were still at the University of Georgia, balancing college life with weekend travels for brand trips, panels, conventions, and more. We thought it would be fun to create a podcast where we could share our adventures and experiences on the go. Since then, it has grown beyond our wildest dreams, leading us to do live shows across the country with hundreds of amazing listeners.
What are some steps to growing a podcast following?
6 p.m. Night out with friends
When I started AM Uncovered, I was craving a new project that would encapsulate all my favorite things—interior design, fashion, and morning routines. Creating and curating this series has been fun and fulfilling. It’s a refreshing departure from my usual content. Who are some of your favorite guests that have been on AM Uncovered?
I’ve truly loved each episode for different reasons. Having model Emily DiDonato on the show was incredible; her detailed morning routine taught me so many valuable tips. Another favorite was comedian Benton McClintock. His episode brought a humorous perspective to the series that people enjoyed.
The three C’s—consistency, community, and care—are key to growing a podcast following. Release episodes regularly, engage with your audience on social media, and show genuine care by producing valuable content and interacting authentically with your listeners. What are some fall activities you’re looking forward to? Fall in the city is truly magical— the crisp air, Halloween parties, Fashion Week, and the return to routine after summer. I’m also thrilled to be moving into a beautiful new apartment, which means I’ll have a fresh space to decorate and make my own. And, of course, I can’t forget about football season. I’m a huge Georgia football fan! What’s your go-to fall outfit?
I love a pair of loose-fitting jeans paired with a tucked-in tank top, cinched with a belt, and topped off with a shoulderpadded blazer. Add some chic sunglasses and statement earrings. It’s my favorite look! What will you miss about summers in the Hamptons? Waking up, going to New York Pilates, grabbing a coffee and breakfast wrap at Amber Waves or Joni’s, coming home and putting on my bathing suit! T

LIPSTICK ON THE RIM WITH MOLLY SIMS
Fashion model and actress Molly Sims has been the face of many iconic fashion brands, including Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors, and Jimmy Choo. After modeling, she became the host for MTV’s House of Style and starred on the Las Vegas TV series. Now, Sims is an influencer with three kids and her own brand, YSE Beauty. Her podcast, co-hosted by her friend Emese Gormley, focuses on all things fashion, beauty, and self-care. Recent episodes have featured interviews with celebrity stylist Allison Bornstein, hairstylist Jen Atkin, interior designer Amber Lewis, and many more.
LET’S BE HONEST WITH KRISTIN CAVALLARI
We first learned about Kristin Cavallari from the MTV reality show Laguna Beach. In the fashion space, she created the Uncommon James brand, which offers jewelry, beauty products, and a fragrance called Hard Feelings Eau De Parfum. Cavallari wants us to love ourselves. On her weekly podcast, she delves into many topics with a goal to “set the record straight,” particularly in the areas of wellness, nutrition, and relationships to keep us healthy. One recent episode focused on how to find the toxic ingredients in our food. There are also lots of episodes about divorce, dating, and knowing when to walk away from the wrong person.
THE MUSEUM AT FIT FASHION CULTURE PODCAST
The Fashion Institute of Technology has the only museum exclusively focused on the art of fashion in New York City. It has an amazing permanent collection and regularly displays award-winning exhibitions at its Chelsea location. On the museum’s podcast, Director/ Chief Curator Valerie Steele, Deputy Director Patricia Mears, and other staffers provide new perspectives on the history, impact, and evolution of the field. They also interview top fashion stars, including designers Nicole Miller, Anna Sui, and Prabal Gurung, stylist Misa Hylton, author Fran Lebowitz, and more.
COMING IN HOT WITH CAROLINE BAUDINO
A friend introduced us to Caroline Baudino’s Instagram a few months ago, and we’re hooked. The influencer talks all about fashion finds (many at great prices and sometimes those we love for even less) on her “Shop With Caroline” posts, in addition to her husband, children, and mother. Her focus is for all of us to get up and dress beautifully every day to feel our best. Baudino’s outfits are perfection, and we want them in our closet. Warning: Don’t wait too long to shop because the recommendations on her podcast often sell out quickly. Plus, this is a great time to listen to this show because it’s new and you haven’t missed many episodes.
UNCUT & UNCENSORED WITH CAROLINE STANBURY
The Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury is a British businesswoman and style icon with a love of fashion, business, and interior décor. She’s also thrilled to be living her best life after age 40. Since her divorce from Cem Habib in 2019, Stanbury has remarried a younger man, former professional soccer player Sergio Carrallo, and found happiness. In her weekly podcast, she’s brutally honest as she covers a variety of topics, including those in recent episodes with titles like “Dating Today is Like the Wild Wild West,” “Live, Love, and Co-Parenting,” and “Ignite Your Own Path to Greatness.”
THE REALLY GOOD PODCAST WITH BOBBI ALTHOFF Fast-rising influencer Bobbi Althoff recently entered the podcast game with great success. In 2021 as a young mother, she posted content on TikTok and her first video got nearly 2 million views. Althoff quickly became a sought-after interviewer to A-list celebrities. Her most famous guest being Drake, followed by Meghan Trainor, Jelly Roll, Mark Cuban, Jimmy Kimmel, Wiz Khalifa, and others. Her unique and low-key style is comedic and compelling. She has a way of extracting little-known information from people in the media we think we know. Her interviews are funny, unusual, and often mesmerizing. Tune in! T
