Geçtiğimiz Stonetech Sayısında aniden ortaya çıkan, bu köşe ile ilgili bir açıklama yapma gerekliliği gördüm. “Eksen” dedim adına, çünkü gerçekten farklı bir Eksen’ den yaklaşmak niyetim. Umarım bunu başarabilirim. Teknoloji denince … Teknoloji denince aklınıza ilk gelen kelimeleri sorsam; örneğin ben bir çırpıda inovasyon, hız, icat, gelişim, otomasyon, robot, bilgisayar gibi birçok kelimeyi peş peşe sayarım. Fakat buraya neyi eklesem bana hep eksik olmuş hissi uyandırır. Tüm dünyada bütün sektörler için amansız bir yarış halinde yerinde duramayan ve hep ilerleyen bir konu teknoloji. Doğal taş teknolojileri de konumumuz gereği yanı başımızda bize bu yaklaşımları canlı canlı yaşatıyor. Bu konuda küçük – büyük fark gözetmeksizin tüm teknoloji ve makine firmaları takdire değer bir çaba içinde. Her bir paydaş kendi Ar-Ge çalışmasına kendine has yatırımlarını yapmış ve yol alıyor. İşte tam bu noktada benim “Farklı Eksen Yaklaşımım” devreye giriyor. Prestij ve kazanç için Ar-Ge Gelişmek, yenilenmek hatta bazı şeyleri herkesten önce düşünmek, yapmak, hayata geçirmek, başarmak sektör içinde hem prestij hem de kazanç açısından firmaların belki de en çok arzuladığı unsur. Bu nedenle yapılan iş planlamalarının içerisinde, Ar-Ge çalışmalarının sürekliliğini aksatmadan yürütmek vazgeçilmez bir gereklilik. Bazı durumlar da var ki, normal işleyen düzen içerisinde bazı modifiyeler ile de kendini öne çıkarmak mümkündür. Son aylarda tüm dünyada hakim olan ekonomik daralma ve kriz ortamını göz önüne alarak farklı al-beniler yaratmak gerektiğini düşünüyorum. Özellikle Ülkemiz sektörünün durumunu yaptığım sık seyahatlerle yakından takip etme olanağı da bulduğum için, doğal taş üreticilerinin yaşadığı sıkıntıları birebir tespit ediyorum. Böyle ekonomik ve piyasa koşullarının üreticileri zorladığı durumlarda, ilk iş maliyetler listesinin masaya çıkarılıp, üzerine kırmızı çizgi çekilecek bölümlerinin aranması değil midir? Kriz ortamında avantaj sağlanabilir Ben burada Teknoloji ve Makine üreticilerine, yaptıkları Ar-Ge çalışmalarında, “üreticilerin her kriz ve daralma döneminde karşılarına çıkan bu problemlerine destek olması açısından” daha tasarruflu, daha duyarlı üretimlere yönelmeleri konusunda bir çağrı yapmak istiyorum. Başta elektrik ve su olmak üzere, tüketimlerin minimize edilmesi hem üreticiler için sürekli bir destek ve tasarruf sağlayacak, hem de çağımızın en temel sorunu olan çevre konusuna etkili bir destek yaratacaktır. Hangimizin sorunu değil ki; ekolojik sistem ve küresel ısınma! Çocukluğumda kulandığımız buzdolabı ve çamaşır makinasının kullandığı enerji ile, şimdi onlarcasını çalıştırmak ve kullanmak mümkün. Bu eko teknolojik gelişmeleri, doğal taş makinaları konusunda da öncelikli hale getirmek ve bu konuda ilerlemek artık kaçınılmazdır. Sektörde yaşanan ekonomik sıkıntılar, gelecekte en tasarruflu teknolojilerin, en çok tercih edilecek olmasını da beraberinde getireceğini, yavaş yavaş ortaya koyuyorken, Haydi Enerji Dostu üretimini 1. Sıraya alalım.

I guess I need to make a statement about this topic which suddenly appeared on the last Stonetech issue. I call it “Axis” because I intend to approach from a different axis. I hope I can do it. When it comes to technology… When I ask the first words that come to your mind when it comes to technology; for example, I count many words in a row such as innovation, speed, invention, development, automation, robot, computer. But I always feel like something’s missing. Technology is a subject that cannot stand still in a relentless race for all sectors all over the world. Natural stone technologies also provide us with these approaches. Regardless of the small - big difference, all tecnology and machinery companies make an admirable effort. Each stakeholder has made its own investments in its R&D work and is making its way. This is where my “Different Axis Approach” comes into play. R&D for prestige and earning Developing, renewing, and even thinking, doing, realizing and accomplishing things before everyone else is perhaps the most desirable element in the sector in terms of both prestige and earnings. For this reason, it is an indispensable requirement to carry out the continuity of the R&D activities within the business planning. In some cases, it is possible to highlight itself with some modifications within the normal working order. I think it is necessary to create different attractions considering the economic contraction and crisis that has prevailed all over the world in recent months. Especially since I have the opportunity to closely follow the situation of our country’s sector with frequent travels, I directly see the problems experienced by natural stone producers. In situations where such economic and market conditions are forcing producers, isn’t our first job to put the costs on the table and to cross out some of them? Advantage in crisis environment I would like to encourage Technology and Machinery manufacturers to make more efficient and more sensitive production in their R & D studies in order to solve these problems that they face in every crisis and contraction period. Minimizing consumption, particularly electricity and water, will not only provide continuous support and savings for producers, but will also create effective support for the environmental issue, which is the most fundamental problem of our time. Ecological system and global warming, problems of all of us! With the energy used by the refrigerator and washing machine that I used in my childhood, it is now possible to operate and use dozens of them. It is inevitable to prioritize and advance these eco-technological developments in the field of natural stone machinery . Since the economic problems in the sector are gradually revealing that the most cost-effective technologies will be preferred the most, let’s prioritize Energy Saver production.

Thanks to the 75-Blade (DK-75L) Gangsaw model, which has the blade movement from top to bottom; we are able to cut even the rubble type, fragile, nonrigid blocks with brittle structure. The vibration transmitted to the block by the blades during cutting; It is at the lowest level thanks to its 60 cm distance. Therefore, the separation of the cracked structures within the block is minimized. Block to be cut; enters the machine on the wagon and is fixed. The Quadrix DG is a range composed of 4 models: DG 1000, DG 1300 , DG 1600 and DG 2000. They are CNC multifunctional work centers of large dimension, with 5/6 interpolated axis with Z stroke from 1000 up to 2000 mm. These models are greatly used for working profiles and shapes of all types, straight, concave, convex, arches, drilling in 2 and 3 dimensional works, columns, sculptures and all types of cutting process, designed to be very versatile with high production capacities. The machines work with an electro-spindle controlled by inverter with an ISO 50 connection which can hold discs from 500 mm diam to 1200 mm and diamond tools such as router bits and drill bits to perform a wide range of processing. The machines can be equipped with Automatic Tool/ Disk Change, with lathe and with rotating platform controlled by CNC control, so bringing the axis controlled to 6. The QUADRIX DG are suited for the customer who wants to grow the company in order to open new doors and projects from an always demanding market of designers and architects.

OZKKM CRUX is monoblock bridge saw machine that, thanks to the advanced functionality, allows every stone fabrication shop to be equipped with accurate and quick machines, without giving up quality. The standard versions of CRUX is monoblock, i.e. mounted on a monolithic structure of steel carpentry that assures utmost rigidity and stability levels, with no need of any concrete foundation. For this reason, if necessary, they can be easily moved elsewhere. The monoblock configuration can be exploited also for using these machines as “building“ equipment, i.e. it can be placed time by time near the factory where the coating, flooring, etc. are being done.

OZKKM CRUX is the result of the most advanced designing on computer and the massive use of FEM” analysis in order to reach a very high rigidity level of the bridge and structures. Even though it is a sawing machines, both have technical solutions of a CNC machine. All the movements of the axes are on linear bearings which do not need to be adjusted. All the lubrication points have been gathered in areas which can easily be seen and reached, without disassembling guards or protections for facilitating ordinary maintenance. High level components are employed. The motors used are servo motors with precision reducers. Especially the high speed of the X axis allows to cut down idle times as much as possible with a productivity increase (the percentage of the time that the disc stays on the material is higher with respect to the time for placing or returning to cut start). The inclination of the disc can be arranged automatically from 0° to 90° and the possibility to interpolate the X and Y axes make the machine suitable for repetitive processing and single details even with vertical, inclined, parallel, orthogonal, diagonal and curved cuts. The machines, in the standard version are equipped with a fixed table and can be tilted up to 80 oC by a hydraulic piston to facilitate the loading and unloading of the processed pieces.

also available. The shapes can be arranged on the slab with nesting. The shapes to be nested are loaded from the active itemized list. After positioning, the user is able to modify the cuts, add pauses or disable it. These and other modifications can be performed before pressing the start button.

On the slabs surface, immediately after its loading, the “Laser System” highlights, by means of light beams, the pre set width for each strip and in sequence the M744 discs are automatically positioned in correspondence of each light beam.

We interviewed Mr. Derya Işıkdemir, the General Manager and Founder of this company, about the history and activities of the company. “En kaliteli iş, tek iştir” Küçük bir torna atölyesi olarak 2000 yılında kurduğumuz Denizli Işık Makine, bütün mermer makinelerinin bozulan parçalarının revize ve imalatını gerçekleştiriyordu. What is Mosaic? In the Dictionary published by Turkish Language Association, mosaic is defined as painting and decoration work made by bringing together small cubic pieces of marble, stone or terracotta pieces. It is a word of French origin and is written in French as mosaïque. We don’t need to get in the details in our first article about mosaic production. I’m sure you would like to make your pre-feasibility preparations with summary information. The necessity of a detailed feasibility is as real as what you read. But if this is the first technical article you read about mosaic production, you’ll need some more preliminary research. Let’s start…

• Mozaik Üretiminde Hammadde Ham maddenin cinsi ve ebatları mermer mozaik üretimimizin aşamalarını belirleyen en etkili husustur. Mermer mozaik üretiminde geçmiş yakın zamanda fayans kırığı olarak tabir edilen 30 santimetre altında olan ve fayans üreticileri tarafından değerlendirilmeyen, başka bir tabirle piyasaya fayans olarak arz edilemeyen tüm doğal taşları, bu yazımızda “ideal mozaik ham maddesi” olarak adlandıracağız. Otuz santimetre altı fayans kırığı olarak tabir ettiğimiz ideal mozaik hammaddeleri; 5, 7.5, 10, 15 cm. ölçülerine ebatlandıktan sonra piyasaya set olarak tabir ettiğimiz nihai ürünler olarak da arz edilebilmektedir. Bu durum mozaik üreticilerinin otuz cm. altı fayans artıklarını uyguna tedarik etmelerinin önüne geçmiş, mozaik üreticilerini daha büyük ebatlarda ham maddelerle çalışmaya mecbur kılmıştır. Tüm dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de bu katma değerin farkına varan plaka ve fayans üreticileri son zamanlarda doğal taş kaynaklarını daha verimli kullanabileceklerini öngörerek mermer mozaik üretimine kolları sıvamışlardır. Ülkemizde bunun en güzel örneği Fimar ve Fimart modelleridir. Atıklarını değerlendirme maksadı ile mermer mozaik üretimine kolları sıvayan bir çok firma görmüştür ki birim zamanda daha az enerji ile daha fazla katma değer oluşturulabilmektedir. Bir çok plaka ve fayans üretici firma bünyelerinde kurdukları mozaik üretim atölyeleri ile ocaktan elde ettiği ham maddeyi zerresine kadar değerlendirme yoluna gitmiştir. Bu durum nakliye ve istifleme esnasında ki kayıp ve zararın da önüne geçerek ülkemize artı değer kazandırmıştır. Bu durum kaldıracın diğer tarafı olan mermer mozaik üreticilerinin ise ham maddeye daha yüksek fiyatlardan ulaşmasına sebep olmuştur. Ham maddenin fiziksel özelliklerine istinaden prosesler değişiklik gösterirken, proseslere istinaden de, gerekli makine ekipmanlar da değişmektedir. Bu nokta da ideal mozaik hammaddesinin eN x boY x kalınlıK verileri önem arz eder. Piyasa genelleri üzerinden hareket ederek ham madde kalınlığımı 3 santimetre ve genişliği ise 30 santimetre olarak ele aldım. İdeal mozaik hammadde özelliklerime göre makine parkurumda bulunması gerekli olan işleme makinlerini alt tarafta sıralamış bulunmaktayım.

Raw material • Raw Material in Mosaic Production The type and size of the raw material is the most effective factors determining the stages of our marble mosaic production. In this article, we will call all the natural stones which are below 30 centimeters in the past, which were called as tile fractures and which were not used by the tile manufacturers, in other words, which are not offered to the market as “ ideal mosaic raw material. Ideal mosaic raw materials which we call as tile fractures under thirty centimeters can be marketed as final products after being sized of 5, 7.5, 10 and 15 cm. This situation has prevented mosaic producers from supplying tile fractures under thirty cm and forced them to work with larger raw materials. Recognizing this added value, our plate and tile manufacturers as well as all over the world, have recently embarked on the production of marble mosaic, anticipating that they can use natural stone resources more efficiently. The best example of this in our country is Fimar and Fimart models. Many companies, which started to produce marble mosaic in order to evaluate the wastes, have witnessed that they can create more added value with less energy per unit time. Many plate and tile manufacturers have started to utilize the raw material obtained from the quarry, with their mosaic production workshops established within their bodies. This situation has prevented the loss and damage during transportation and stacking, and has added value to our country. This has led to the marble mosaic producers to reach raw materials for higher prices. While the processes vary according to the physical properties of the raw material, the necessary machinery and equipment changes according to the processes. At this point, the width x length x thickness data of the ideal mosaic raw material are important. Based on the general market, I took my raw material thickness as 3 centimeters and width as 30 centimeters. According to these ideal mosaic raw material properties, I have listed the processing machines that are required to be in my machine section.

Multi-Blade Sizing Machine Alligator ®: Marble is the most important pillar of the production process. It usually has bandwidth of 50 cm and one piece of material up to 43 cm width can be produced. Minimum sizing width is 1 cm. Machine quality has a direct impact on cutting quality and production speed. The ones with hive pipe/charging system and the maximum density of stainless material are the most suitable for mosaic work.

Net Drying Furnace: Mosaic tiles lined with molds and applied with glue net are put in the furnace. Tiles are sent for packaging after the nets are dried through the sides of the machine. These types of machines must have heat regulation, thermostat, steam ejector and cooler units.
