Hey Coyotes! Hope you all are staying home and minimizing your social interaction! I know it’s a hard time right now, but we’ll get through it together! Thank you for continuing your service digitally! Please keep up with the Service Center for new service projects and activities you can do to earn your hours! Keep up the good work and have an amazing thanksgiving break!

Hey Coyotes! We hope you have all been doing well and staying safe during these times. Recently, we had a couple of our member attend the GrassRoot Girls Webinar where young girls had the opportunity to learn about ways to advocate, even from home! A few of our members wanted to share their experience during the webinar. Other than that, I hope you all enjoy your wonderful Thanksgiving break! :)

With love, Rochelle Barrameda

“This webinar was very informative, and it really expanded my know ledge on how I am able to make changes for the top ics I am passionate for. There were multiple presenter s from all over the country who gave their insights and shared their expe riences about the topics they are ex perienced in, like advocating for equality, racial inju stice, and even jus t informing listeners about wh o to contact at a national or local level. We were ab le to participate in events like choosing which top ic we believe are the most important, very im portant, and least important (but stil a priority.) We also l participated in a poll to determine which topic we be lieve was the most important, with equality being the most popular. Ov erall, I think this webinar was very helpful to the youn ger girls and boys who want to be ab le to participate in a society bigger than themselves, and was eye-ope ning on all the changes we can possibly make. “

“The zoom webinar co vered the history of women's suffrage and the continued battles that women face today with suffrage and representation. I tho ught that the overa ll experience helpe d me better unde rstand the challenges that wo men face today in the political arena an d the professional environment. There is an unfair standard on women when runnin g for public office such as their physical appe arance, family du ties, and career. The presen ters did a good job telling their own story wit h advocating for wo men empowerment in suffrage and repres entation in public office.”
