elcome to the 2021/22 School Year!
It is my pleasure to welcome students and families to Ranchos Elementary School. I feel extremely fortunate to be working with such an exceptional group of students, families, and staff. This is an exciting time for us as we prepare for our students and the adventures ahead.
This past year was unlike any we have ever had. I would like to extend my appreciation to the families who continued to make education a priority during the challenges of our last year and virtual learning. Because of you, our students were able to access and reap the full benefits of learning and being a successful student.
As we move forward, we are hopeful that we are moving toward more “ normal” times. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the Ranchos Staff who worked so hard during virtual learning, and then even harder when we returned to inperson learning where they became both virtual and in-person teachers. None of us were completely prepared for what the year had in store for us but kudos to my Ranchos Staff for stepping up to the challenges and doing a fantastic job. Ranchos, most definitely, has a remarkable staff – cooks, teachers, custodians, a secretary, a nurse, educational assistants, bus drivers, and social workers who spend countless hours training, caring, preparing, and planning for our students. Lessons are engaging and
research-based best practices are used daily. We are driven by student data and make instructional decisions based on what students need both socially and academically.

The Ranchos Team is dedicated to creating successful learners by expecting academic excellence and holding high expectations for all our students. In addition to academics, our focus is to also create a safe and positive learning environment. The educational team and students will promote and model responsible and respectful behavior creating a positive and safe learning atmosphere where teachers are able to teach and students are able to learn.
Registration is open from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. beginning on July 22nd. Please bring your student’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of physical address. We are delighted to welcome our new students and their families to Ranchos Elementary.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 12th. All students will receive free breakfast and lunch beginning
