Executive Ticket #1

As your SGA executive ticket, we will always strive to improve life here at ERAU. If you were to vote for us, then the following changes would occur.

First, the Senate will gain a brand new ROTC senator position that will help improve issues between SGA, ROTC, and the campus while also giving ROTC permanent representation in the Student Senate. RSOs

that help give students practical experience, such as student labs, shall receive far more support from the SGA.

e SGA shall work more closely with IFC and Panhellenic to help promote Greek life’s various philanthropy events. Your SGA will tackle far more serious issues on campus to help ensure that every student feels safe, valued, and welcomed, no

matter who they may be. To that extent, places like the SGA President’s o ce shall host open o ce hours so that any student may walk in and voice their concerns.

A vote for us will create an SGA where transparency, e ciency, and consistency shall be the keystones to a better tomorrow.

Executive Ticket #2

You should vote for us to better your student experience through progress, integrity, and accountability. We see integrity as knowing when something is right or wrong and having the courage to say something to those who can help. Accountability is the student body keeping the SGA accountable and the SGA having their members be accountable for what they ran on and what

they want to accomplish in their term. Progress is making positive changes to the campus community through the SGA or an RSO.

We promise to work hard to represent all the di erent voices on our beautiful and diverse campus, and we hope that we can have your vote.

Together, these mean that we are working towards a positive experience on our Embry-Riddle Campus. Your vote means you are pitching into integrity, accountability, and progress.

ank you for considering our candidacy and giving us the opportunity to highlight what we have done and want to do.

“Help Yourself Help Others”

For the four years that we have been here, we have seen time and time again when people, including ourselves, did not know who the SGA President is or what they do.

We really want to focus on the aspect of improving ourselves to

be able to improve others. We really want to go out of our way to meet new people and understand the passion that they have for their goals.

By voting for us, we really want others to know that we are thinking about them. We want

others to bring up issues that we can possibly try to solve. We want every student to have a voice and that voice can be through us.

We’re improving ourselves to make sure we are improving others.

“For the Students”

Our ticket’s goal is to hear what all students need and ensure it happens. We will strive to make sure all students understand everything the SGA provides.

We have a very diverse campus, and we will make sure everyone’s needs are heard. It might come from an RSO, an athlete, an ROTC member, a graduate student, a pilot, an honor society, the Fraternity & Sorority Life community, or anyone.

We will strive to nd solutions for many issues that have been a concern, like parking, RSO funding, and safety concerns. We will not be afraid to put in the hard work these positions require.

We are excited to hear from all students and make a di erence in all students’ lives.

Executive Ticket #6

As President, I will ensure transparency and change from SGA, I will put changes like expanding the shuttle service into action and will ask more than just the people who currently ride the shuttles for their opinions.

I will make it easier to bring problems to my attention and provide progress on solutions.

I will start with an open-door policy so students can easily reach me with comments and concerns. I will also release the SGA budget so that students can know where their money is going and provide their feedback. I will return the position of the President to the role of representing the student body allowing for everyone’s voice to be heard and bringing

the time when you could walk into the President’s o ce and present problems that you are having or just have a conversation about life.

I will incorporate the many solutions that have been tried and stand on the shoulders of my predecessors to keep making SGA better than it was last year.

SGA Treasurer Candidate #1 Shane Plantier

“During my seven years at this school, I’ve watched the SGA, and the Treasury within it, grow and evolve, along with the needs of the clubs it governs. And I’ve always been quietly listening to hear the comments and complaints of everyone in other clubs.

If elected to the SGA Treasurer position, I plan to combine the best aspects of the Treasury today and what it was years ago. Back then, you could walk in

with an issue and leave with a solution, and nancial requests would come back within a week at most. Today, the Treasury is spread much more widely to cover more clubs, but such size has slowed things to a crawl.

I plan to x this by combining the wide scope of today’s treasury with the speed and transparency of the old so that the treasury under my leadership can be the best version of itself that it can be.”

“I am committed to revolutionizing the SGA funding processes to bene t the student body in ways never seen before and provide full transparency of your SGA’s inner nancial workings.

rough this past year, many improvements have been made to RSO and Division funding, however, the work is far from over. I plan to increase overall funding for RSOs, create additional direct funding programs for students to access, and facilitate the creation of brand new Division & RSO Financial

Systems that will redistribute the SGA budget equitably and e ciently.

I will also ensure full transparency and e ective communication of the full workings of the SGA budget are, so that every student may see how every dollar of their SGA Fee is spent each semester.

Every step of the way will include opportunities to take direct input from students, so we as a collective are guiding the decisions and agendas made rather than a select few individuals.”

I am also honored to become part of the International Student Services

office as an International Ambassador, where I got the chance to connect with many international students.

I think there are lots of chances around us, but few international students are aware of the ones they can take advantage of on campus, or the options don’t mesh with their cultural backgrounds.

I want to build a setting where international students feel welcome and at ease participating in activities that could help them advance their social and professional abilities.”

Outgoing SGA Executive President: Savanna Sheahan

Savanna Sheahan: To the next SGA President,

Wow, what a ride you are about to begin! You are going to learn more than you can imagine. This position has been the highlight of my college career and I am beyond excited for you to enjoy the same journey. I’ll leave you with a few pieces of advice:

1. Have a vision for the SGA internally and externally. Focus on it but also be okay with some deviation. We need to adapt to our ever growing campus and innovative student body.

2. Care deeply for the team around you as they are what makes the SGA successful.

3. Foster positive and respectable relationships with all parts of campus. Your voice is larger than you think. Use it wisely!

4. Be creative! Make this experience the best you can and leave Embry-Riddle better than you found it.

Before you know it, you’ll blink and find yourself at the end of your Spring term. Your time as SGA President is a short gift.

Focus on what matters to the student body, what matters to you, and what matters to your SGA team around you. This will give you a path to set you up for success as a leader on this campus.

My advice is to listen and learn as much as you can about the students and the university so you can implement initiatives based on the true values of the student body.

The student body should always be at the forefront of your mind and it will not always be easy, but it will be worth it.

Have fun, make memories, and ask yourself… “
