GM’S MESSAGE

Dear Members, March is a very special month as we celebrate a series of joyous events at the Club, starting with Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Day. Shrove Tuesday represents the last day of feasting before the season of Lent, so head to Windsor Arms to get your fill. International Women’s Day celebrations will follow thereafter, and what’s better than beginning your day with a special yoga style followed by a sumptuous breakfast at Verandah Terrace, while health specialists share insights on pelvic health for women.

April will also see the return of Comedy Night on Saturday, 18 April, starring Steve Frost, Steven Steen, Andy Smart & Ian Coppinger – the original stars of the popular hit British TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” Looks like it is going to be a hilarious few months! Tickets are selling fast, so if you have not booked your tickets, call 64100 1100 or email events@britishclub.org.sg now. We look forward to seeing you at the Club.

From the sports desk, I’m happy to inform that the Club will be screening the exciting Six Nations ANDREW CHRISTON General Manager Rugby live at Windsor Arms. Special beverage promotions will be available throughout the screenings, so head on up for a rowdy good time! If you need more information regarding the screenings, you can find them on page 31 of the magazine. This month, we have the immensely popular and hilarious theatre dinner of Mammy’s Boys Comedy Dinner Show, featuring the mother of Comedy – Mrs Agnes Brown. Coincidentally, Mrs Brown’s Boys picked up Best Comedy at the National Television Awards 2020 in January. This is one theatre dinner you don’t want to miss.
