ne of Perth’s biggest department stores has received the ultimate makeover and it needs to be seen to be believed. The redevelopment of Myer Karrinyup began in December 2019 when Lanskey Constructions Perth team was awarded the tender.

Work on the three-level complex officially began in January 2020 with the redevelopment taking place over seven key stages. With more than 14,000-sqm of floor space plus the loading dock in the basement, the mammoth task was completed by August this year, bringing Myer Karrinyup in line with other Myer stores across the country. The Karrinyup store first opened its doors in September 1973 and last underwent a refurbishment in 1996. Lanskey Constructions State Manager Steve Garces said the new store provides a leading shopping experience for local customers. “The full renovation has provided a totally refreshed and modern store removing floor segmentation and improving the flow of the store,” he said. “Every part of the store has had works undertaken to improve the stores amenity.” Scope of works The massive renovation saw the entire store gutted and stripped back to its bare bones.
