OVERSEAS SELF-WINDING: A NEW SILHOUETTE

Long-distance travel begins with a watch on the wrist. The Overseas collection has been designed to reflect this spirit in which elegance is adorned with robustness, attention to detail underscores essentials and aesthetics adapt to every circumstance. True to these principles, the brand is introducing four new models in pink gold and steel, featuring a 35 mm diameter of the gemset versions and 34.5 mm for the non-set models.

A new silhouette

The new diameters prompted the in-house designers to rethink the silhouette of the models, which are now slimmer and more ergonomic, giving them a slender appearance. “These new watches correspond to an aesthetic trend dictated by more classical standards”, explains Christian Selmoni, Director of Style and Heritage at Vacheron Constantin. “It is characterised by a reduction in the size of the watches, which are equally suited to both men’s and women’s wrists.”

Harmonious dials

Each piece is loyal to the collection’s emblematic codes found on the larger-diameter models. The hours and minutes indications are accompanied by central seconds and a date display at 3 o’clock. The minutes track, placed around the rim in a single row, features a velvety finish creating harmonious light effects with the sunburst satin-brushed decoration of the lacquered dial. The two models in 18K 5N pink gold as well as the non-set steel timepiece adopt the collection’s iconic blue dial, while that of the steel watch set with 90 diamonds feature a delicate shade of pink. To ensure excellent legibility at night, the hours and minutes hands as well as the hour-markers in pink or white gold –depending on the version – feature Super-LumiNova® inlays.

Interchangeable buckle/clasp bracelet/ strap system

Thanks to its strap interchangeability system that is as simple as it is practical, the Overseas self-winding watch can be adapted to any situation. Each reference comes with three bracelet/straps: an integrated metal bracelet (in 18K 5N pink gold or steel depending on the case), and two straps in rubber and calfskin. Another new feature is that the calfskin and rubber straps are now all equipped with an interchangeable clasp/ buckle: a folding clasp on the steel models and a pin buckle for the gold versions.

The precision of Calibre 1088/1

Calibre 1088/1 has been chosen to set the pace for these new products and drives the hours, minutes, seconds as well as the 40-hour power reserve. This 144-component movement

with a 4 Hz rhythm is equipped with a stop-seconds mechanism, enabling precise adjustment of the timekeeping functions. Featuring rear bridges bearing the Côtes de Genève motif, it is fitted with the collection’s emblematic rotor in 22K gold, adorned with a compass rose and visible through the sapphire crystal on the caseback.

Sum-up

Four new references in steel and 18K 5N pink gold enrich the Overseas collection, in a 34.5 mm diameter for the non-set versions and 35 mm for the gemset models. With these new sizes suited to both men’s and women’s wrists, the case design has been subtly refined. Three of the new models feature a sunburst blue lacquered dial with a velvety finish for the minutes track, while the fourth in gemset steel is graced with a pink hue. The new watches are fitted with an integrated metal bracelet in 18K 5N gold or steel, depending on the model, secured by two additional interchangeable leather and rubber straps with pin buckles or folding clasps.

The colour of the two additional straps corresponds to that of the dials: blue on the non-set gold and steel versions, and gemset beige-pink on the steel variation. Calibre 1088/1 has been chosen to power these pieces. Equipped with a stop-seconds mechanism enabling precision adjustment, it is fitted with the 22K gold rotor bearing the collection’s emblematic compass rose, which ensures winding with a 40-hour power reserve.

Why these new sizes?

These new 34.5 and 35 mm diameters correspond to growing demand from our customers for a smaller size, thus ensuring greater discretion on both women’s and men’s wrists.

How the Overseas is a true travel companion ?

I invite you take a step back in time! As early as the late 19th century, timepieces embodying remarkable advances in terms of anti-magnetism and water-resistance marked the beginnings of the Maison’s sports watches, such as the 1885 model resistant to magnetic disturbances and the 1898 pocket watch protected against humidity. The 1930s then saw the appearance of steel watches, characterised by a screw-down bezel and caseback and an unbreakable sapphire crystal. In the 1970s, Vacheron Constantin once again introduced several models designed for active life, including the 1975 Chronomètre Royal, the company’s first steel watch with integrated bracelet, as well as the famous 222. The latter was a sports watch water-resistant to 120 metres that inspired the creation of the first Overseas models in 1996, driven by the spirit of travel and openness to the world. This remarkably technical collection quickly became a benchmark for the brand, and

its codes evolved over time, particularly with regards to the metal bracelet, which as of 2004 featured a motif evoking the brand’s Maltese cross emblem. In 2016, the certified new-wave Overseas resolutely took its place in the 21st century and marked a new aesthetic signature for timepieces destined to become true travel companions.

Why didn’t you adapt the gemset versions to the same diameter as the non-set ones by adjusting the diamond size, or vice versa? This difference, which is barely perceptible to the naked eye, is essentially explained by gemsetting issues. While the case remains the same, the size of the bezel is subtly increased to provide more space for the prong setting chosen to achieve optimal light refraction. As we have two rows of diamonds in the bezel notches shaped like the branches of the Maltese cross and we did not want to reduce the carat weight of the stones, we worked on the dimensions of the bezel.

What does the interchangeable buckle/ clasp bring?

The interchangeability concept is in fact taken a stage further in order to give owners a chance to modify the appearance of their watch in step with their wishes

and circumstances. As they are now able to change the buckle/clasp and bracelet/strap tool-free, they can simply acquire new leather or rubber straps offered by Vacheron Constantin and adapt them to the buckles/ clasps already in their possession.

What can you tell us about the calibre powering these models?

For these new models, we were keen to offer a mechanical self-winding model comprising calibres equipped

with the collection’s characteristic rotor. As these are basic models with three hands and date, we needed a reliable, robust and precise calibre. In other words, a movement that has already proven its worth within our collections. We therefore chose Calibre 1088/1, which meets all these conditions, equipped in these versions with a stop-seconds mechanism and perfectly in line with the concept of a sports watch water-resistant to 150 metres.

A RETURN TO ROOTS

It was only natural for Breguet to draw on its inexhaustible heritage in creating the new Type XX. Putting things into context, one may recall that in the early 1950s, Breguet was able to meet the requirements of air forces wishing to equip themselves with a robust wrist chronograph featuring certain distinctive characteristics.

A prestigious and widely recognised firm keen to be part of humankind’s great adventures, Breguet placed itself at the service of airborne navigation in the 20th century, just as it had done for maritime navigation in the 19th century. A large number of pilots acquired Breguet watches, including Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1910, American pilots stationed in France in 1918, the Louis Breguet aviation company, Japanese pilots visiting France in the 1920s, and many others...

TYPE XX CHRONOGRAPHE 2057 THE MILITARY HERITAGE

This collection enjoying iconic status for nearly 70 years has accompanied the history of aviation –whether on pilots’ wrists as a precision instrument or on those of amateur enthusiasts fascinated by its legendary qualities. The Manufacture Breguet proudly unveils a redesigned line that is innovative, highly contemporary and brimming with nods to history.

This timepiece is inspired by the 1100 delivered to the French Air Force between 1955 and 1959, whose name appeared as Type 20 in Arabic numerals, unlike all the others, including those of the Aéronautique Navale, whose name was written Type XX in Roman numerals. Its black dial has been modernised while remaining faithful to the Type 20 identity.

The Arabic numerals and the triangle on the bezel are luminescent and feature a mint green shade, as do all the hands. The 30-minute totalizer located at 3 o’clock is now larger than the 60-second totalizer displayed at 9 o’clock, and a date window has been added between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The 42 mm steel case is fitted with a non-engraved fluted bidirectional bezel, as was that of the mod els delivered to military air forces in the past. The crown reflecting the original pear shape is adjust able in three positions: 1) neutral, 2) date correc tion, 3) time setting. The 2 o’clock pusher serves to activate the chronograph, the one at 4 o’clock for the “flyback” function. The for mer is used to start and stop the watch, while the latter serves to reset the chronograph and the minute totalizer.

TYPE XX CHRONOGRAPHE 2067 THE LINE OF CIVILIAN VERSION

This second timepiece with its adventurous look is a direct descendant of the finest civilian Type XX from the 1950s and 1960s, notably a model made in 1957 and bearing the individual number 2988. While its dial is black as the 2057, it differs in several respects.

First of all, its display: the 15-minute totalizer is located at 3 o’clock, the 12-hour totalizer at 6 o’clock and running seconds at 9 o’clock. Just as in the military-inspired ver sion, the totalizer is sized differently to make the dial both more dynamic and more legible. The Arabic numerals, the hands and the triangle on the bezel are coated with an ivory-coloured luminescent treatment. The date window appears between 4 and 5 o’clock.

The 42 mm steel case is fitted with a fluted bidi rectional graduated bezel. Its classic straight crown enables setting in three positions: 1) neutral, 2) date correction, 3) time setting. The 2 o’clock pusher starts and stops the chronograph functions, while the one at 4 o’clock resets and restarts the chronograph immediately, based on the famous “flyback” function.

ACCURACY AND STURDINESS ARRIVAL OF THE NEW CALIBRE 728

After four years of development at the Manufacture Breguet, the brand is delighted to present the new self-winding Calibre 728 for the civilian version and Calibre 7281 for the military version. Combining robustness and innovation, this movement and its variant are protected by several patents.

It incorporates all the designs of a modern chronograph such as a column wheel, vertical clutch, 5 Hz frequency as well as an innovative zero-resetting activation system. Alongside these elements, it also benefits from the latest technical innovations in the field of chronometry (precision timing).

The balance-spring, the escape-wheel and the pallet-lever horns are made of silicon. In addition to being resistant to corrosion and wear, silicon is insensitive to the influence of magnetic fields and improves the accuracy of the timepiece. Moreover, this self-winding chronograph has a 60-hour power reserve.

Performance – fiercer, newfound engagement from class-leading powertrain

Unapologetic and unambiguous, DB12 makes an emphatic statement. One that exudes the confidence of a car endowed with a 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds, a 202mph top speed,

and best-in-class potency from its 4.0 Twin-Turbo V8 engine. This exceptional hand-built engine, tuned by Aston Martin engineers to deliver class-leading 680PS/671bhp at 6000rpm and 800Nm/590 lb-ft between 2750-6000rpm; an increase of 34% compared with the outgoing DB11.

These higher outputs have been achieved through modified cam profiles, optimised compression ratios, larger diameter turbochargers, and increased cooling. To manage increased thermal demands the cooling system has been completely redesigned, with an additional two auxiliary coolers added to the existing central main radiator. To ensure that desired engine intake air temperatures are achieved in all conditions, an additional low-temperature radiator has been fitted to the charge cooler water circuit.

In addition, the auxiliary outboard engine oil cooler now has over double the face area of its predecessor in order to manage the demands on the lubrication circuit. Cooling has been optimised further by improving thermal airflow, a 56% increase in open apertures allowing more cold air to flow into the radiators, while centrally-mounted bonnet vents placed above the twin turbos allow hot air to escape.

Handling and dynamics –the sharpest DB ever

Power is fed through an 8-speed automatic transmission and for the first time on an Aston Martin DB model, Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff). This differential is linked to the car’s Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system. Unlike a conventional Limited Slip Differential, it can go from fully open to 100% locked in a matter of milliseconds, giving the driver maximum response for more precise and consistent handling.

Working in harmony with the latest generation ESC system the E-Diff significantly improves the car’s cornering capabilities in all conditions. In low to medium-speed corners, the DB12 feels brilliantly agile and responsive, coming alive on challenging roads thanks to immense front-end grip and tremendous traction. Meanwhile, total composure in high-speed corners lends the DB12 a great feeling of confidence and control.

To increase driver engagement and amplify the intensity of its performance, the DB12 features a revised (shortened) Final Drive Ratio (3.083:1), plus a unique transmission shift calibration. The former

works to deliver punchier in-gear acceleration, while the latter reduces shift speeds and creates different shift characteristics to suit the DB12’s broad range of dynamic modes.

DB12’s bonded aluminium structure has seen a 7% increase in global tortional stiffness thanks to changes to a range of underbody components; the engine cross brace; front and rear undertray; front cross member and rear bulkhead. The combined effect is a focused improvement in tortional rigidity and lateral stiffness – especially between the front and rear strut towers – which provides a stronger and more stable attachment point for the dampers and rear axle. This brings gains in suspension performance, isolation, and refinement, along with improvements in on and off-centre steering feel and overall sense of driver connection.

With the introduction of new generation intelligent adaptive dampers and extensive engineering of key components such as stiffer anti-roll bars, DB12 offers class-leading driving dynamics and greatly increased breadth of capability.

With a 500% increase in bandwidth of force distribution, these stateof-the-art dampers are a huge advance as their greater capacity facilitates a far broader range of control and refinement across the DB12’s drive mode settings. By exploiting this increased scope, Aston Martin’s vehicle attributes engineers have extended the DB12’s range of character far beyond those of class rivals.

Careful calibration of the dampers allows the progressive introduction of more response and tighter body control as you scroll through the

dynamic modes, with the detailed tuning of suspension bushing delivering excellent refinement and isolation. Combined with the E-Diff and ESC system this means that in GT mode a luxurious ride quality is retained for sublime yet agile cruising, while Sport and Sport+ modes ramp up the DB12’s responsiveness and tighten body control, shrinking the car around the driver and making it truly come alive on challenging roads as never before.

As the primary point of contact between car and driver, careful attention has been paid to perfecting the DB12’s Electronic Power Assisted Steering system (EPAS). This begins with the fitment of a non-isolated steering column, which gives an enhanced dynamic feel by ensuring steering inputs from the driver and feedback from the road remain pure and uncorrupted.

EPAS calibration focuses on ensuring plenty of on-centre feels mated to a swift but natural-feeling rate of response. Taking care to avoid the steering responding in an exaggerated, overly aggressive manner, DB12 has an intuitive, confidence-inspiring feel. One that allows the driver to relax on long journeys but revel in its precision, responsiveness, and agility when attacking an apex.

In the interests of consistency and driver connection, the EPAS has a constant 13.09:1 ratio rack with variable, speed-sensitive assistance and 2.4 turns lock-to-lock. This variable level of assistance is integrated with the DB12’s drive mode programmes, the level of assistance reducing incrementally while moving towards the most aggressive mode (Sport+).

Ensuring it has the stopping power to match its prodigious pace, DB12 is fitted as standard with cast-iron 400mm front discs and 360mm rear discs with grooved and drilled faces for improved thermal capacity. The brake booster has also been re-tuned to improve pedal feedback, giving the driver greater confidence thanks to a firm pedal with an immediate sense of stopping power combined with a progressive response.

Underlining its Super Tourer credentials, DB12 can be ordered with a Carbon Ceramic Brake (CCB) option. Offering increased braking performance and reduced brake fade at temperatures of up to 800°C, fitting CCB saves 27kg in unsprung mass compared to the standard braking system, which in turn benefits ride quality and steering response.

Confirming its commitment to fulfilling the DB12’s Super Tourer brief, Aston Martin is the first OEM application of the new Michelin Pilot Sport 5s tyres – 275/35 R21 103Y front and 315/30 R21 108Y rear. Not settling for off-the-shelf versions, the DB12’s tyres are marked with ‘AML’ codes. This signifies they feature a bespoke compound and have been tuned by the Aston Martin dynamics team to ensure the highest levels of reactivity for precision steering, together with maximum grip in wet and dry conditions.

The Pilot Sport 5s also features noise-cancelling polyurethane foam inserts within the tyre’s carcass. This reduces tyre ‘hum’ transmitted to the car’s interior by 20%, lowering noise levels and improving refinement and driver comfort.

There is a choice of three different designs – standard FiveSpoke and optional Multi-Spoke and Y-Spoke – in a range of colours and finishes: Five-Spoke in Gloss Silver; Multi-Spoke in Satin Platinum, Satin Black, and Satin Black Diamond Turned; Y-Spoke in Satin Bronze, Satin Black, and Satin Black Diamon Turned.

Driver centricity – Purer, intuitive technology that puts you in control

Designed to offer the driver the perfect degree of dynamic support

without restraint, DB12 introduces an industry-leading Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) system. The system offers four pre-defined ESP modes (Wet, On, Track & Off) selectable via the ESP button on the centre console. Each is seamlessly integrated to deliver progressive control while avoiding abrupt interventions.

The system works by taking information from a multitude of sensors around the vehicle, the most advanced of which is the new six-axis inertia measurement unit. This complex accelerometer data builds a real-time picture of what the car is doing. Then, using cutting-edge algorithms, it predicts the level of grip available, as well as reacting to momentary instabilities.

Designed to work discreetly in the background, this sophisticated system allows the driver to get the best from the car and the conditions with fewer perceived ESP interventions while maintaining a high degree of safety. The same predictive, model-based technology underpins all the car’s chassis control systems (ABS, Traction Control, and Lateral dynamics) in an unprecedented, integrated way for an unmatched level of driver confidence and enjoyment.

In addition to multi-mode ESP, DB12 also features five pre-defined

drive modes; GT, Sport, and Sport+ progressively adjust the dynamic behaviour, with each step allowing the driver more freedom to explore the limits of grip and traction; Wet mode enhances stability on low grip surfaces; Individual mode allows the driver to precisely tailor the vehicle systems to their preferences, with the freedom to mixing and matching chassis, powertrain, ESP and traction control settings.

Drive modes are selected using the centre console; a knurled rotary controller allows quick and easy cycle function through the five presets. Individual override buttons for the chassis, ESP, and exhaust are also located on the centre console, below and to the left of the rotary controller. These allow the driver to override the drive mode priority and select their preferred settings.

The DB12’s bold and assertive exterior design is a perfect expression of power and potency. Presented with the immaculate style for which Aston Martin is renowned, integrating 75 years of DB heritage and segment-defining proportions worthy of the world’s first super tourer, it exudes confidence and commands attention with an impressively athletic physique, measured aggression, and unrivalled elegance.

Presented with a more muscular physique to signify the power that lies beneath – an increase in track by 6mm at the front and 22m at the rear, the all-new front-end features a larger, re-shaped radiator aperture and a re-shaped splitter. Framed by new Light Emitting Diode (LED) headlights with a distinctive new Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) signature and intricate surface detailing, the DB12’s wide-track stance is complemented by standard-fit 21-inch forged alloy wheels. The new system, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™*, is a fully integrated multi-screen system and displayed using 10.25-inch Pure Black, 1970×720 high-resolution screens with ultra-responsive (30ms reaction time) capacitive touch control.

This all-new connected car ecosystem utilises three key elements –the DB12, the Aston Martin App, and Aston Martin’s secure data servers. These three elements connect through globally roaming 4G LTE / GSM cellular networks via the embedded e-SIM in DB12, which is provided and funded by Aston Martin.

When purchasing their new DB12, customers will be invited to enroll in the new Aston Martin App and create their own unique AML ID. Available on iOS and Android, the app allows seamless interaction, control, and feedback to and from the car via their personal device.

A personalised content that is specific to their vehicle is presented on clear and intuitive screens that seamlessly match the new UI/UX of the infotainment system. From the app, customers can monitor, locate and protect their vehicle, send navigation POIs, or be guided on foot with last-mile navigation. Night Series was unveiled on May 23rd at an exclusive cocktail evening, held at a private residence in the historic New York City neighbourhood of Greenwich Village. The pop-up Maybach clubhouse created a suitably sumptuous and discreet experience for attendees with the brand’s magical aura emanating from the walls.

The Mercedes - Maybach EQS SUV

Fresh from its world premiere in China in April, the EQS SUV – the first electric Mercedes-Maybach and the newest brand model - can be ordered in the Night Series version. The individual headlights are adorned with a Maybach emblem on rose gold and with dark chrome refinements. The grille panel is enhanced with darkened Maybach pinstripes, while the air intake inserts in the front bumper are refined with a dark chrome-plated pattern of the Maybach emblem.

The EQS SUV is brimming with unique accents and details, including side windows with generous, highly polished, black edging in 3D design. A rear and roof spoiler complement its sporty-aerodynamic trim; the running board is refined in black, sporting a Maybach emblem in dark chrome.

The Night Series package for the EQS SUV is available with the paint finishes obsidian black, MANUFAKTUR diamond white bright and an exclusive two-tone paint finish in the combination obsidian black/ Mojave silver.

The EQS SUVs’ sustainability credentials are reflected in its design: the interior is carpeted with Econyl and all leather used is vegetable tanned in crystal white or black and black pearl colour combination with contrast topstitching in dark basalt grey. The trim comprises of herringbone open-pored with genuine aluminium pilasters.

The Mercedes - Maybach S-Class

If the original Mercedes-Maybach S-Class represents a new height of comfort and value, then the special Night Series version brings luxury and refined sportiness to a new level.

For the S-Class, the Night Series package includes various paint finishes in grey, black and white hues, as well as an exclusive two-tone paint finish in the combination onyx black/Mojave silver.

Precious details include rose gold in the headlights and dark metallic chrome elements, adding to the design’s elegant, stretched silhouette, which is accentuated by the two visible tailpipe trims in dark chrome and black.

While the already iconic interior of the S-Class takes luxury to the next level, the Night Series expands the exclusivity of the model with two interior variants: Black with Black Pearl nappa leather or MANUFAKTUR deep white/black. A noble mother-of-pearl effect in the black/Black Pearl nappa leather option, together with the golden-grey glossy piping subtly emphasises the interior’s value.

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS

The GLS Night Series boasts a complete front with elegant dark chrome elements including an upright Mercedes star on the hood, radiator grille, trim parts and Maybach pattern in the side air intake. The headlights feature subtle and high-quality rose gold details, and the side view sports several noble dark chrome accents. In addition, the extendable running board is dark anodized. The exclusive wheel is in 23-inch format, styled with high-quality inserts including a Maybach pattern, underlining the character-defining side view.

For the GLS, in addition to a paint finish in a white tone or obsidian black, an exclusive two-tone paint finish in obsidian black/Mojave silver is available with the Night Series package.

The model also has two elegant interior fittings. The first is black combined with Black Pearl nappa leather, the second is crystal white combined with Black Pearl accents. The superior herringbone decor, and silver pilasters in an openpored brown finish, underline the sophisticated craftsmanship character of the equipment.

The Night Series package will be purchasable for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class soon. It will be available for the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV alongside its market introduction, followed by the Mercedes-Maybach GLS in early 2024.

ALUNYA, NEW HULL OF B.NOW 50M OASIS DECK®, WAS LAUNCHED AT BENETTI’S SHIPYARD IN LIVORNO.

The new motor yacht ALUNYA (FB606), hull from the successful Benetti B.Now 50M series, was launched on at the beginning of May 2023 at Benetti Livorno shipyard and it’s the second steel model in the series to introduce the Oasis Deck® design and draws inspiration from the shipyard’s iconic canons.

The 49.9M superyacht is the second hull from the series to feature the Benetti iconic Oasis Deck® – the first was launched less than two months earlier. Benetti redefined the traditional stern of its B.Now series, incorporating hydraulic winged terraces port and starboard that extend the width of the deck to offer an impressive 90 square-metre beach club and outdoor living area. Owner and guests have unobstructed 270-degree views from the stern, and the beach club comes complete with a glass-walled infinity pool as well as numerous conversation areas.

The B.Now 50M belongs to an experienced owner, who personalized the superyacht to his taste. Brokerage company TWW Yachts introduced

the buyer and acted as owner’s representative throughout the build process, working closely with Benetti to incorporate all the owner’s requests into the final project.

Conviviality is at the heart of the new B.Now 50M design thanks to a seamless indoor-outdoor configuration, with the main saloon looking directly out onto the Oasis Deck®. Renowned British studio RWD was responsible for the concept design and exterior styling, with naval architecture by Italian studio PierLuigi Ausonio Naval Architecture. Benetti in-house HUB Design worked closely with the owners on the design and configuration of the interior spaces.

The Benetti B.Now 50M series is offered with accommodation for either 10 or 12 guests, and the owners opted for the former with a fiveguest stateroom configuration. The owner’s suite is located on the Main Deck forward and complete with a study area, a large ensuite and a private terrace. Her remaining guest staterooms are situated on the Lower Deck. The sub-500 GT superyacht has a further six cabins for 10 crew, including the Captain.

ALUNYA also featured plenty of space for tenders and toys, which are cleverly concealed within the bow, including a tender up to 5.65-metres in length as well as Jet Skis and numerous water toys. The tender is deployed and retrieved through a hydraulically operated hatch starboard.

Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium alloy superstructure, the 50-meter spans four decks and has a beam of 9.2-metres. Equipped with twin MAN V12 1,400 horsepower engines and two Kohler 118 kW generators that deliver a 4,500 nautical mile range at 12 knots and

a max speed of 15 knots, this model is also fitted with a pair of electrical stabilisers.

Delivery is scheduled for the end of July 2023 and the owners will embark on their maiden voyage immediately.

“Whenever I work on a project for Bentley, the words that immediately come to my mind are: luxury,

refinement, elegance, and use of the finest raw materials”, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni explains.

Her creation opens with the dazzling light of the sunny bergamot from Italy, laced with aromatic rosemary from Morocco and a lemony green, flash of cardamom – “a cold spice that also has hot facets”, the perfumer points out. Mysterious, resinous olibanum adds its citrus-like, warm, softly woody tones to the fresh accords.

As the fragrance unfolds, it reveals the seductive warmth of its heart with two natural jewels native to South America: sensual, smoky vanilla (sourced from Madagascar) and tonka bean with its almond and tobacco facets.

These delectable gourmand scents meld into the smooth white amber that gives its name to the scent. “The note comes from Ambroxan, a raw material yielded by clary sage”, Karine Dubreuil-Sereni explains. Salty, smooth, conjuring driftwood, sun-warmed skin and amber, it is almost an addictive perfume in itself. The key to the perfume’s unique magnetism.

In Magnetic Amber, this captivating note is highlighted by the warm resinous scent of labdanum, bolstered by elegant cedar from Virginia to create a rich, potent drydown extending far into the sweetbreezed Panamanian night.

The bottle

All fragrances of the Eaux de Parfum Collection are housed in the same bottle, made of Italian glass with a thick, curvy base. The square-shouldered, beveled bottle is simply adorned with a satin label, inspired by the ones sewn inside Brioni bespoke suits, hemmed by a golden cross-stitching motif. The magnetic cap is engraved with a B, as is the top of the golden pump spray. Echoing the natural inspiration of the Eau de Parfum Essentiel, the glass bottle is lacquered in a green gradient.

Made in Italy by the glassmaker Bormioli Luigi the bottle is recyclable. The production process ensures that no glass is wasted and that the water is cleaned after use. The raw materials used to decorate the bottle are water-based and environmentally friendly. The satin-finish box is recyclable and has obtained FSC certification.

Extraordinary wines were tasted over the last 10 years including the iconic Wynns John Riddoch Cabernet – named after the founder of the famous Coonawarra region, Wolf Blass Black Label, one of Australia’s most awarded wines and a rare fortified made from a vineyard planted in 1913.
