Beyond visitors looking to spend a few days of sun and beach in Mallorca or those who prefer to enjoy nature, the island offers other proposals rooted in its history. One of these is, without a doubt, wine tourism. Land of vineyards since Roman times, in recent times the number of wineries and wine cellars has only increased throughout the island. The climate, humidity and soil provide the perfect environment to produce unparalleled wines that have earned a prominent place in the wine scene.

Mallorca has two Certificates of Origin: C.O. Binissalem and C.O. Pla i Llevant. The first encompasses an area of around 154 km² of the municipalities in the centre of the island: Binissalem, Santa Maria del Camí, Sencelles, Consell and Santa Eugènia. The second includes eighteen municipalities with a winemaking tradition, such as Artà, Felanitx and Manacor. Besides, Mallorca has the distinctive Protected Geographical Indication of Terra de Mallorca, which is awarded to productions made with grapes produced on the island and bottled here.

Some wineries are young and make limited organic productions; Others have been making wine, generation after generation, since the 19th century, but they all work the land with the utmost care and respect. Mesquida Mora, Finca Ses Rotes, Tianna Negre, José Luís Ferrer, Vins Miquel Gelabert… are just some of the essential wineries that organise tastings and guided tours so that we can delve into this fascinating world of wine, its history and roots.

CONOCER MALLORCA A TRAVÉS DEL VINO

Más allá de los visitantes que buscan pasar en Mallorca unos días de sol y playa o de los que prefieren disfrutar de la naturaleza, la isla ofrece otras propuestas arraigadas a su historia. Una de estas es, sin duda, el enoturismo. Tierra de viñedos desde la época romana, en los últimos tiempos el número de bodegas y cellers de vino no ha hecho más que incrementar a lo largo y ancho de la isla. El clima, la humedad y la tierra proporcionan un medio en el que producir vinos singulares que se han ganado a pulso un lugar destacado en el panorama vitícola. Mallorca cuenta con dos Denominaciones de Origen:

D.O. Binissalem y D.O. Pla i Llevant. La primera acoge una extensión de alrededor de 154 km² de los municipios del centro de la isla: Binissalem, Santa Maria del Camí, Sencelles, Consell y Santa Eugènia. La segunda engloba dieciocho municipios con tradición vinatera, como Artà, Felanitx y Manacor. Además, Mallorca cuenta con el distintivo Indicación

Geográfica Protegida de la Terra de Mallorca, que se otorga a las producciones elaboradas con uvas producidas en la isla y embotelladas aquí.

Algunas bodegas son jóvenes y hacen producciones limitadas y ecológicas; otras elaboran, generación tras generación, vino desde el siglo XIX, pero todas trabajan la tierra con sumo cuidado y respeto. Entre ellas destacan proyectos como Mesquida Mora, Finca Ses Rotes, Tianna Negre, José

Luís Ferrer, Vins Miquel Gelabert… son solo algunas de las bodegas imprescindibles que organizan catas y recorridos guiados para que podamos adentrarnos en este mundo de vino, historia y raíces.

Los amantes del vino que quieran conocer las particularidades de la producción vitícola autóctona o aquellos que deseen hacer un turismo sostenible y explorar la isla de un modo peculiar, encontrarán lo que buscan en Mallorca. MALLORCA ÜBER DIE WEINE ENTDECKEN

Weit über Sonne, Meer und Natur hinaus, die für viele Besucher Mallorcas Grund ihres Kommens ist, hält die Insel auch Angebote bereit, die tief mit ihrer Geschichte verwurzelt sind. Dazu zählt auf jeden Fall der Weintourismus. Im Land der Weinberge seit römischen Zeiten gibt es in letzter Zeit immer mehr Weingüter und Cellers inselweit. Klima, Feuchtigkeit und Böden bieten beste Voraussetzungen zur Herstellung einzigartiger Weine, die in der Weinszene bestens ankommen. Mallorca verfügt über zwei geschützte Ursprungsbezeichnungen: D.O. Binissalem und D.O. Pla i Llevant. Die erste umfasst ein Gebiet von ca. 154 km² in den Gemeinden Binissalem, Santa Maria del Camí, Sencelles, Consell und Santa Eugènia im Inselinneren. Zur zweiten gehören 18 Gemeinden mit Weintradition wie Artà, Felanitx und Manacor. Außerdem gilt für Produkte, die aus auf der Insel angebauten Trauben hergestellt und auf der Insel abgefüllt werden, die geschützte geografische Herkunftsbezeichnung Terra de Mallorca. Einige der Weingüter sind noch jung und die Weine werden in begrenzter Auflage und Bio-Qualität hergestellt, andere schauen auf eine Weinherstellung über Generationen hinweg bis ins 19. Jahrhundert zurück, aber alle bewirtschaften ihr Land mit höchster Sorgfalt und Achtung. Mesquida Mora, Finca Ses Rotes, Tianna Negre, José Luís Ferrer, Vins Miquel Gelabert sind nur einige der Weinkeller, die man unbedingt besuchen sollte und auf denen es Weinproben und Rundgänge gibt, die uns mit der Welt des Weines, Geschichte und Ursprung vertraut machen. Wer guten Wein zu schätzen weiß und die Eigenheiten hiesiger Weinherstellung entdecken will oder wer nachhaltig Urlaub machen und die Insel auf eine ganz andere Art erkunden will, wird auf Mallorca fündig. Weintourismus ist viel mehr als nur ein Trend, es ist eine andere Art zu reisen. Entlang der Landstraßen und Wege zu den Weingütern gibt es Landstriche und Orte zu entdecken, die sonst schwerlich zu finden sind; in den Cellers kann man das Verfahren der Weinherstellung hautnah miterleben, Weinsorten kennenlernen und sie direkt am Ort verkosten. Weintourismus begeistert uns nicht nur, weil er die Qualität Mallorcas Weine zur Geltung bringt, sondern auch, weil es uns wichtig erscheint, einem traditionsreichen Verfahren Wert beizumessen, das hiesiges Unternehmertum fördert und zum Schutz der Umwelt, ihrer nachhaltigen Nutzung und ihrer Neubewertung beiträgt.
