A MESSAGE FROM
Becky Janda PTO President our children continued their school year and maintained connections. We showered them with treats, virtual flowers and notes, and an amazing video entitled Together We Can, Because of You. We couldn’t physically see the faculty and staff, but we hoped they felt the love and gratitude the community had for them.
Dear Pegasus Community, The PTO spent 2019-2020 hard at work to realize our mission of encouraging parent involvement, bringing Pegasus families and staff together and enhancing teacher curriculum to have maximum impact on student learning. We are filled with gratitude for the families that engage so enthusiastically for our school and for the school that supports us and partners with us to maintain and strengthen the Pegasus community. Our year started in full swing, bringing the community together at our Fall Parent Parties and First Day Social. Our volunteers jumped right in by helping to show our unending gratitude for our faculty and staff through monthly PEG LOVE events. As we are so grateful for all that we have, the Pegasus community came together monthly to help those in need. The students made over 100 blankets during RUN.GIVE.SERVE. that were ultimately given to those experiencing homelessness! We extended our community when we invited our grandparents and special friends to join us for a morning of treats, music and fun. We became even more grateful for our community and school as midMarch rolled around. Gone were the days of in-person events. The PTO adjusted and turned our attention to making sure the faculty and staff knew how much we appreciated everything they were doing to ensure 38 THE PEGASUS SCHOOL
All of this was done with support and collaboration with the school administration. We are grateful for this relationship. We share many of the same goals and are able to work together to ensure success. This was exemplified when the PTO and school collaborated to bring Michele Borba to our school as a part of PEGtalks. This success was achieved due to our collaboration. The PTO and Middle School were in the process of planning an all new SPRING.SERVE. event that gave the middle schoolers the lead in educating those in lower school about a need in the community and doing something to help. And all of the PTO programs are funded by the Give to Great Annual Fund. I just want to say thank you. Thank you for being a part of the Pegasus community. Thank you for being involved with the PTO and by supporting the PTO with your time and contributions to the Annual Fund. Thank you to those that embraced a program and made it happen. Thank you to the many volunteers that made things happen behind the scenes. We wouldn’t be what we are without you. We are so grateful for all of you. Thank you for making all of this possible,
