EDUCATION COMMITTEE TO OFFER CPR/AED CLASSES The Cresswind Education Committee kicks off 2022 with a CPR/AED course taught by Cresswind resident and American Heart Association instructor Karen Silverthorn. The course trains participants on how to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator on a patient during a medical emergency. Individual classes will be offered on four dates to accommodate as many residents as possible. Classes are tentatively planned for 12:30 PM Jan. 18; 5:30 PM Jan. 19; 12:30 PM Jan. 21; and 1:30 PM Jan. 24. Individual classes last about four hours and are limited to eight participants each. Registration is $13, which covers course materials. Interested residents may indicate a specific class date and pay the registration fee at the front desk of the clubhouse. Certification will be available upon request.

If not, then log into the Cresswind Website to check out those pictures as well as the wonderful pictures from the First Responder Holiday Parade last night! Cresswind residents continue to amaze me...last night through the efforts of the Education Committee we were able to grant the First Responders over $8,000. First each first responder was given a tumbler filled with gift cards and coupons to local places. Then on top of that Cresswind residents raised $2,200 for Police Unity Tour and then to top it all off through the Community Fund we raised $5,000 to help the efforts by the Gainesville Police Department and Meals on Wheels to bring warmth to local seniors in Hall County. I don’t know about you all, but I feel absolutely blessed to be a part of Cresswind at Lake Lanier.
