I love onigiri. Today, there are many different types of onigiri. I will recommend my favorite onigiri among them. Onigiris I eat are basically from convenience stores. Therefore, I introduce some of the recommended onigiris sold at convenience stores.
The simplest type of onigiri is the salt onigiri, which is simply onigiri with salt. Because it is simple, the taste of the rice is the key to its deliciousness. My highly recommended salt onigiri is “Salted Onigiri” sold at Seven-Eleven. Onigiri are usually served with nori, but despite the lack of nori, Salted onigiri can be eaten without getting tired of the strong salt flavor alone.

There are so many onigiri filling. Among them, my favorite onigiri filling is salmon. My highly recommended salmon onigiri is Salmon Harami sold at Family Mart. Regular salmon onigiri are also delicious, with a light flavor and flaky texture, and the crispy nori goes well with the salmon. I like it too and eat it often. However, the Salmon Harami is by far the best, especially the salmon. It has a soft texture, is quite fatty, and has a very nice, slightly salty, strong flavor that goes very well with the rice and the not-so-crispy nori. If you like salmon, as it says on the package, you will absolutely love it. It is a little more expensive than other onigiri, but it tastes even better.
