En la sección Unique Scenes, les comparto mi experiencia como director general del Hotel Boutique CasaReyna, en el que junto con todo el equipo de trabajo, hemos encontrado que la clave del éxito es tener

un lugar integral en donde todos los aspectos que lo rodean deben ser meticulosamente cuidados desde el servicio, la ambientación y la gastronomía para lograr un lugar que cumpla con las exigencias de nuestros visitantes.

laticamos con la arquitecta Claudia López Duplan sobre el interiorismo y ella nos comentó que en su experiencia los buenos proyectos deben mantener la relación que existe entre

el interior y el exterior.

“Generalmente me preguntan ¿qué es lo más importante en un proyecto arquitectónico? Y mi respuesta inmediata es: TODO. No quiero afirmar con esto que los arquitectos seamos todólogos, pero es una realidad que cada uno de los elementos que conforma el proyecto afecta el resultado. Por eso no me gusta diferenciar el interior y el exterior, lo público o lo privado, ya que para mí el espacio es solamente uno y el objetivo de cada proyecto es que esa intención sea reflejada con éxito.” Para López Duplan las funciones de cada área se deben de entender con sólo mirarlas —ya sea una sala, un comedor, un estudio, una terraza o un jardín— el lenguaje arquitectónico es un idioma que debe ser claro para todos los usuarios, pero sobre todo deben disfrutarlo, no importa si está en el exterior o en el interior, lo importante es que funcione para lo que se necesita.

Es obvio que el interior y el exterior deben tener tratamientos distintos, sin embargo, deben tener un lenguaje único, ya que no se puede considerar una misma arquitectura cuando tenemos dos proyectos diferentes. Es un hecho que los materiales para el exterior no son los mismos que para el interior, pero para eso se definen paletas de color y acabados que ayuden a mantener la homogeneidad.

“Usually people ask me ‘what is the most important thing in an architectural project?’ And my immediate answer is: EVERYTHING. I don’t want to say with this that architects are know-it-alls, but it is a reality that each of the elements that make up the project affects the result.

That is why I like differentiating the interior from the exterior, public from private, since for me the space is only one and the objective of each project is to reflect that intention successfully.” For López Duplan the functions of each area have to be understood just by looking at them —whether it’s a living room, a dining room, a studio, a terrace or a gardenthe architectural language is a language that must be clear to all users, but above all they should enjoy it, it doesn’t matter if it’s in the exterior or the interior, what matters is that it is functional for all that is needed.
