La buena noticia para quienes nos dedicamos al mundo del vino es que el consumo ha aumentado casi el doble en los últimos 5 años, por lo que cada día es más común ver una botella de blanco, rosado, tinto o espumoso en la mesa de los mexicanos. Estoy segura que esto no es moda, sino una tendencia que continuará creciendo día con día. ¿Quién compra el vino? Para responder esto, quiero hacer una distinción entre el mercado consumidor en México. En el restaurante, tal vez el hombre es quien solicita el vino al profesional del servicio; pero en los anaqueles, es la mujer quien selecciona el vino que se beberá en su casa.
