MISSIONS REPORT

JANUARY - AUGUST 2022

UKRAINE-RUSSIAN CRISIS

In March, Lead Pastor Designate Gerald Tan and Missions Director Pastor Allen Loh visited Romania’s border just 800m from Ukraine and met with refugees who braved extreme weather conditions. Trinity has given generously toward AG Romania that have networks in Romania to transport large shipments of food, baby formula, mattresses, warm blankets, pillows, and hygiene products to hard-to-reach Ukrainian cities, such as Kyiv, Kharkov, Bucha, Chernihiv, and others. SERVING AT OVERSEAS REGIONAL CENTERS

This year, we launched extended foreign missions’ opportunities for Trinitarians to be based at one of our three overseas Regional Centers – for three, six, nine, or twelve months. Trinitarians of different ages have signed up in response to this new missions’ initiative and have started serving.

TRINITY ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL

ENGLISH SCHOOL From February to May, Trinity Academy International had the privilege of teaching English via Zoom to 55 pastors, ministers, and Bible school students from Indonesia.

Trinity Academy International held 5 classes (Beginner A, Beginner B, Elementary 1, Elementary 2, and Pre-Intermediate) to tailor to the different proficiency levels among the learners. This ensured a conducive learning environment for them.

These classes were taught by a team of 14 English Language trainers, comprising of volunteers from Trinity Singapore who signed up to serve through Silver Force and Missions Rally.

MUSIC SCHOOL On May 17 and 20, Oktav Tumbel (main speaker), Pastor Budi Haryanto (co-speaker), and Wedha Setyawan (co-speaker), taught “Preparing Incredible Worship Sets” in Palopo, South Sulawesi, and Ambon, East Indonesia, respectively. There were about 150 pastors, worship leaders, and musicians.

Many shared how this worship workshop transformed their personal worship at home, as well as the way they lead worship and prepare worship sets for their small groups, church services, church planting, and missions. Mrs Hanny Lesnussa (Pastor, Lecturer from Apostolic Talitakum School of Theological, Palopo) shared that, “becoming Worshippers of God is not about the technique, it’s all about the heart. This training has really helped me, as a lecturer and pastor, to model for my students and my worship team.”

Trinity Academy International Music School officially launched in August 2022, in conjunction with Trinity@Jakarta’s fifth anniversary. We believe that through Trinity Academy International English School and Music School, we will becomea blessing and witness new harvest in Indonesia!

TRAINING AND CONSULTATION

From June 6 to 9, over 70 Pastors from 27 churches in Assemblies of God Indonesia gathered in Bogor to attend the 7 Steps Conference conducted by Pastor Allen Loh, Pastor Alana Mah, Pastor Budi Haryanto and interpreted by Lisa Koestaryo.

The pastors came hungry to learn and left encouraged and refreshed, with practical handles on church building. PROJECT RESCUE

Since April 2021, Trinity has engaged in monthly online services to empower the staff, women, children, and youths with Bombay Teen Challenge. In 2022, Trinity's outreach efforts have expanded to include eMITs to Project Rescue homes in India.

In addition, we’ve begun engaging with Spain-based Project Rescue homes since May 2022 via monthly Zoom meetings. Sessions are designed to uplift women rescued from human trafficking who wish to rebuild their lives. Topics included life skills such as conflict resolution, family relationships, going for interviews, and self-care.

Pastor Loh Wai Ling is currently leading this team effort, shared that “Two Project Rescue homes have committed to meeting with us monthly on Zoom for a full year. By God’s grace, we have befriended many women who are pre-believers and have shared the hope of Christ through meaningful conversations and workshops. Many of them enjoyed the meetings because they could apply what they learned in their personal lives, such as how to replace negative thoughts with positive ones.”
