READY, STEADY, GROW

LIFE CONFERENCE YOUTH TRACK

Trinitarians were finally allowed to attend Life Conference onsite again on June 2 and 3 this year. While the adults spent the two days packed in the Sanctuary, those in the Youth Track had dedicated activities that even took them all the way to Sentosa! Across the two days, 200 youths gathered to play hard and grow as one. Youth Track Committee Member Estelle Tan shared that it was important for conference-goers to “not just have fun but be able to catch the heart of unity in the body of Christ— working together as a body for God’s mission.”

On Day 1, conference participants traveled to Sentosa beach for a fun day of exciting and team-bonding games. They built working rafts in their respective teams and constructed meaningful sandcastles. Through the activities, IGNYTEr Isaac Lim saw his Connect Group (CG) grow in strength and teamwork. He shared, “I learned how to work better with my CG, understood more

about their likes and dislikes, and how much they are willing to step out of their comfort zone. I also got much closer to them.”

Not only was IGNYTEr Faith Lum encouraged by Life Conference, but she also truly enjoyed the fellowship with her CG. She quipped, “I’m super grateful for the opportunity to get to learn more about each of them.” She was also invigorated by Day 2’s morning Ready Steady Grow workshop. Faith learned about John 15, how to abide in Jesus as the true vine, and be fruitful in their lives for the Lord.

Youth Pastor Faith Makinen shared her heart and vision of wanting to see youths learn and glean gold nuggets of God’s wisdom from the workshops. She prayed the youths will know what it means to be called to love God, abide in Him, and bring God to every sphere of their lives.

Pastor Faith spoke passionately, “There seemed to be a dichotomy of youths living out their identity and faith only in church settings, but I love to see them flourish with God’s truths and ways at schools, at home and in every relationship. I want to see them blossom.” IGNYTEr Julien Ow testified, “I have been encouraged not to be ashamed of the gospel. Through the sermons, I am inspired to seek God and live His abundant life. Not letting any setback drag me down or distract me from my journey with God but deal with setbacks with godly confidence. Then, move on with godly character strength.”

Indeed, IGNYTErs had gained valuably from this onsite conference while having a lot of fun with their peers.
