Welcome Letter Dear Friends and Supporters of the USHCC, First, I would like to thank each of you, especially our Hispanic Chambers, our corporate members, our business leaders, our strategic partners, and our small business community for your great support. Thank you for joining us at our 41st Annual USHCC National Conference and our first virtual conference! During this global pandemic, this has been a time of resiliency and perseverance for all Hispanic Business Enterprises who are innovating and changing their business models and rising to the challenge of this economic crisis. This year, we present to you our theme “Building America’s Business Future: Securing Wealth and Health for All Latinos.”

President & CEO United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

This year, we expanded our “Avanzar” Program, our small business accelerator program in partnership with Wells Fargo, to seven states and we have more than 170 small, scalable HBEs currently going through the program to learn how to take their businesses to the next level. We collaborated with other national diverse chambers on the Chamber Leadership Alliance to bring free professional development educational training seminars for our Chamber CEOs and their staff members.

WELCOME LETTERS

Ramiro A. Cavazos

This year has been one of resetting and rebuilding. We are glad to introduce you to our latest USHCC programming and resources for our Hispanic Business Enterprise (HBE) Members. We are proud to continue to add value to our USHCC Chamber Members, and new partnerships with America’s largest corporations to the benefit of our Hispanic business community.

We also awarded thousands of grant dollars to small business owners and to chambers of commerce to provide bilingual technical assistance to expand relief efforts during COVID-19 through generous partners such as Cargill, Rumba Meats, and many others. We are working together with our corporate partners to create programming that supports Hispanic small businesses while addressing each partner’s specific advocacy priorities through programs with vision and measurable success. Finally, we had our strongest advocacy year in Washington, D.C, where we made sure that the voice of our Hispanic business leaders was heard loud and clear with our members of Congress and the Administration, especially for economic relief, stimulus funding, and access to new capital. This success would not be possible without the support of our partners, sponsors, and HBEs. Thank you to our wonderful USHCC Board of Directors and Staff that work every day towards making a better and stronger USHCC. Above all, we must always remember that the USHCC is not about any one individual, it is about our whole community of 60 million Latinos coming together: creating wealth and health for our Hispanic businesses and Building America’s Business Future.

Respectfully,

Ramiro A. Cavazos President & CEO United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce PAG E |
