Can’t You Just Smell The Fresh Basil and Taste Those Juicy Tomatoes? Stop by the Montclair History Center for their Annual Herb and Heirloom Veggie Sale where you will find 8+ varieties of basil, and oh so much more! They have all the essentials for your herb garden… dill, parsley, rosemary, cilantro… and they also will have herbs and varieties not available in many other places, such as lovage, salad burnett, pineapple sage. Pick up the tried and true, then try something new! Don’t forget to pick up some heirloom veggies! On hand will be an expansive selection of heirloom tomatoes—from plump juicy ones to pop-in-your-mouth cherries—plus other veggies you can not normally find in the garden centers, such as Striati di italia zucchini, jalfuega peppers, okra, and more. The sale takes place from May 6-9 as follows: Thursday, May 6, 9am-8pm; Friday, May 7, 9am-5pm; Saturday, May 8, 9am-3pm; Sunday, May 9, 9am-3pm or until they sell out! Become a member of the Montclair History Center while at the sale and receive a free herb! The Crane House & Historic YWCA will also be open for pay-what-you-can, self-guided tours during these days as well.
