ieci Lifestyle Spa in Livingston will soon be opening its fully renovated Spa. One of its new and unique offerings will be a Halotherapy salt room. “It’s a dry salt which has many wellness benefits, different than wet salt treatments” says Marie Gaglioti, who owns the spa along with her husband, Paul. “It’s heated and dried and then dispersed into the room during a typical session. You can just lay back, relax and inhale it.” She says Halotherapy has many benefits. “For people who’ve been exposed to pollutants, airborne diseases, bacteria, and allergens, it helps detoxify the lungs. It’s also good for general hygiene and skin irritations such as eczema and psoriasis. You don’t have to have any type of condition – dry salt therapy is wonderful for overall general wellness. The salt brick lined halotherapy room will provide a relaxing atmosphere with its gentle lighting and four comfortable lounge chairs. Each session is a half hour long and will also be incorporated into packages along with other spa services such as massages and body treatments. An additional new offering will be an Infrared Sauna. “That’s another therapy that you don’t often see,” says Marie. Unlike regular saunas, which heat the air around you, these use infrared
lamps (that use electromagnetic radiation) to warm the body directly promoting better sleep, detoxification, weight loss and many other benefits. “We always want to do more and bring our clients different wellness therapies that are not found everywhere,” she says.
