Our report states, ‘Parents are overwhelmingly positive in their praise for the school,' and parents/ carers are a huge part of our success. We also appreciate the support we receive across the local community as a Wendover school. Most of all Ofsted recognised that ‘we are fierce advocates for the pupils we support,’ what they didn’t say is that we are also incredibly proud of our pupils. They are the reason we are here. Many have had a bad experience of education, the system has failed them. Now we are a part of building a better future for them, to help them move into meaningful employment.”
Students planting 400 trees
CWA have been given 400 trees by The Woodland Trust that the students are planting whilst participating in "The Big Climate Fightback" to help get 50 million more trees in the ground across the UK. The Big Climate Fightback aims to rally the nation to get behind tree planting by finding those underused areas in our communities that could accommodate more trees and make a difference in the fight against climate change and provide havens for wildlife. With the environmental impact of HS2 in the local area, we thought it would be a great idea to get involved and plant more trees on the Wendover grounds.
