O WimBelemDon figurou entre as 100 Melhores ONGs do Brasil em 2017, ao lado de organizações consagradas, como SOS Mata Atlântica, WWF, Parceiros Voluntários, Doutores da Alegria, Projeto Âncora, Brazil Foundation, Instituto Ayrton Senna e ABRINQ. O Prêmio Melhores ONGs Época/Doar foi baseado no Padrão de Gestão e Transparência (PGT) e o projeto foi selecionado entre inúmeras organizações do terceiro setor.

WimBelemDon was amongst the top 100 NGOs in Brazil in 2017, along with famous organisations such as SOS Mata Atlântica, WWF, Parceiros Voluntários, Doutores da Alegria, Projeto Âncora, Brazil Foundation, Instituto Ayrton Senna and ABRINQ. The Época/Doar Best NGOs Award was based on the Transparency and Management Standard and the project was chosen amongst several third sector organisations.

100 MELHORES ONGS DO BRASIL

Pelo segundo ano consecutivo, WimBelemDon foi reconhecido como uma das 100 Melhores ONGs do Brasil. A pesquisa realizada pelo Instituto Doar e pela Rede Filantropia, com o apoio técnico da Fundação Getúlio Vargas, avalia 44 critérios de boa gestão e transparência para chegar ao resultado. Num universo de mais de 300 mil ONGs existentes no Brasil, apenas 58 foram destacadas em duas edições. WimBelemdon ficou na semifinal em 2019.

ABRACE O BRASIL – ABRACE WIMBELEMDON

Mais uma vez, o projeto conseguiu atingir sua meta dentro do programa de financiamento Abrace o Brasil, campanha internacional organizada pela BrazilFoundation que reúne ONGs de todo o Brasil. Dessa vez, o objetivo do Abrace WimBelemDon era a compra e a instalação de placas de captação de energia solar para a sede, um investimento aproximado de R$ 50 mil. A ARRECADAÇÃO CHEGOU A QUASE R$ 75 MIL; FOI A TERCEIRA INSTITUIÇÃO DO PAÍS EM VALOR DE RECURSOS OBTIDOS.

100 Best Ngos In Brazil

For the second year running, WimBelemDon obtained recognition as one of the 100 NGOs in Brazil. The poll, realised by Instituto Doar and Rede Filantropia, with technical support from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, assesses 44 criteria in good management and transparency. There are over 300,000 NGOs in Brazil and only 58 were highlighted in two editions of the award. WimBelemDon was a semi-finalist in 2019 and 2020.

EMBRACE BRAZIL – EMBRACE WIMBELEMDON

Once more, the project met its target with the Embrace Brazil crowdfunder, an international campaign organised by BrazilFoundation with NGOs from all over the country. This time, the Embrace WimBelemDon goal was to buy and install solar panels at the headquarters, which would cost approximately R$ 60,000.

THE PROJECT RAISED NEARLY R$ 75,000 AND WAS THE THIRD BIGGEST FUNDRAISER IN THE COUNTRY.

FUNDAÇÃO ITAÚ SOCIAL – PROGRAMA MISSÃO EM FOCO

Após um longo processo de seleção, o WimBelemDon foi uma das 13 organizações SELECIONADAS ENTRE 442 ONGS DE TODO O PAÍS

PARA RECEBER APOIO DA FUNDAÇÃO ITAÚ SOCIAL.

O Programa Missão em Foco busca disponibilizar recursos e auxílio técnico a fim de contribuir para a estabilidade, o desenvolvimento institucional e a gestão das organizações, visando à ampliação de seu impacto social no local onde estão inseridas.

APÓS INCÊNDIO, WBD ENTRA EM FASE SUSTENTÁVEL

O dia 4 de abril é marcante para o WimBelemDon. Se em 2018 a tarde foi de tristeza, em 2019 a data foi de comemoração. Um ano após o incêndio que causou perdas materiais e estruturais no projeto, a equipe escolheu celebrar e agradecer todas as conquistas após o incidente. Pontualmente, a realização de um sonho antigo dos fundadores, de incorporar a preocupação com o meio ambiente à estrutura e ao dia a dia do projeto. Isso se tornou possível com o sistema de captação de 5.500 litros de água da chuva que passou a ser reaproveitada em vestiários, jardim e quadra; o sistema de captação de energia solar, que colabora com a sustentabilidade financeira do projeto; e os móveis projetados com madeira certificada de reflorestamento.

ITAÚ SOCIAL FOUNDATION – FOCUSSING ON THE MISSION PROGRAMME

After a long selection process, WimBelemDon was one of the 13 organisations CHOSEN FROM 442 NGOS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY TO RECEIVE SUPPORT FROM THE ITAÚ SOCIAL FOUNDATION.

The Focussing on the Mission programme seeks to make resources and technical support available to contribute to stability, institutional development and management of organisations with the aim of optimising the social impact in their communities.

AFTER THE FIRE, WBD BECOMES SUSTAINABLE

4th April is a memorable date for WimBelemDon. A sad afternoon in 2018, but a celebratory date in 2019. One year after the fire that caused property and structural damages, the team decided to celebrate and thank everyone for all that was achieved after the incident. Specifically, making an old dream of the founders’ a reality: incorporating an environmentally friendly approach to the project structure and routine. This was made possible by the system that harvests 5,500 L of rainwater to be used in the changing rooms, garden and court; the solar panels, which also contribute to the project’s financial sustainability; and the furniture made of certified wood from responsibly managed forests.

Na busca constante por excelência, o WimBelemDon conquistou mais um reconhecimento internacional: foi aprovado no processo de avaliação dos princípios internacionais de Transparência e Boas Práticas Sociais da Phomenta, instituição que representa o Brasil no Comitê Internacional de Agências que monitoram ONGs em todo o mundo (International Commitee on Fundraising Organizations – ICFO).

International Certification

In the constant search for excellence, WimBelemDon won yet another international recognition: it was approved in the process of evaluating the international principles of Transparency and Good Social Practices of Phomenta, an institution that represents Brazil in the International Committee of Agencies that monitor NGOs worldwide ( International Commitee on Fundraising Organizations – ICFO).
