We cater to kids of all ages and skill levels. Our four keys are mind, body, nutrition, and discipline
These clinics will build basic skills for preschoolers looking to get into basketball! We’ll focus on the fundamentals, including shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, and defense — along with motor skills, rules of the game, positioning, teamwork, and sportsmanship. If you have a 1st through 3rd grade child interested in playing basketball against other area players without the hassle of traveling to a different location for every game, this program is for them. Participants will learn fundamental skills through weekly practices and games. Adult volunteers coach all teams.
Grade 1 games will have youth size basketballs and eight foot basketball rims. Grade 2 games will have youth size basketballs and nine foot basketball rims. Grade 3 games will have youth size basketballs, nine foot basketball rims, full court play and score will be kept. All games will have staff referees and timekeepers. All participants will receive a team t-shirt and commemorative basketball.

When filling out your registration form please remember to indicate your child’s school—otherwise placement on a particular school team cannot be guaranteed. If there are more than 10 children from a school, multiple teams will be formed. If there are too few children from any one school, children will be placed on a team according to village of residence. Due to the number of children in this program, friend requests will not be taken.
2 Each team will have a 1-hour practice per week. Practices will be Mon. or Wed. between 4-8 pm OR Tues.,Thurs., or Fri. between 5-8 pm. Priority will be given to Grade 1 teams for earlier times. Coaches choose their team’s specific time by lottery in early December. There will be two weeks of practice before the first game.
3 Games will be held on Saturdays between 10 am and 6 pm. The specific game schedule will be created in early December: typically Grade 1 plays between 10 am and 12 pm, Grade 2 plays between Noon and 3 pm, and Grade 3 plays between 3 pm and 5 pm.
4 All team information (roster, practice time, game time, coach, etc.) will be available on or before December 6, 2023 at quickscores.com/wch.
* We encourage you to sign up for the waitlist if a section is showing as full. We will continue to add as many teams as possible depending on registrations that come in. You will not be charged until you have a spot in the program.

The Olympic sport of fencing demands a blend of tactical and strategic thought and a physical execution of those decisions. This has led many to describe the sport as “physical chess.” Fencing also teaches balance and discipline and even more than this, it’s fun! This class is for those new to fencing or those who would like to work on the basic skills. This class will cover basic rules, etiquette, basic footwork, attacks and defenses. Classes will consist of warm up time, footwork time, group lesson and bouting. All equipment is provided.
NOTE: Due to the personal nature of the equipment used for fencing, students will be issued a mask and a glove from Midwest Fencing Club during the first class. Students will be responsible for this equipment for the duration of the session, taking it home and bringing it back for each class. Each fencer will be required to pay a $150 equipment deposit directly to Midwest Fencing Academy (cash or check) on the first day, which will be returned when the equipment is turned in at the end of the session.
