The seasiders have never mounted a successful premiership defence aer winning flags in 1964, 1979,1998 and 2012. Since then, the green-and-golds have gone back-to-back on two other occasions as well as compleng a record thrice hat-trick of Withflags.the excepon of the incomplete 1940s and 2020s, Mount Burr has secured at least one grand final win in every decade. It is finals me in the 2022 Mid South Eastern Football League season and the cut-throat first semi final at Robe on Saturday throws up the tantalising encounter of reigning premiers

The winner of the seaside clash will have a fortnight's rest and then advance to another do-or-die contest on September 10 when Kalangadoo hosts the preliminary final. While the Hawks have had William Von Stanke, Tyler Richardson, James Allen, Brodie Von Stanke-Dowie and Declan Wright experience A Grade football and will need to be focused to get through.

Theteammates.hoststake on Glencoe and the laer has a good lead up beang Kongorong and Port MacDonnell with Tory Weaver and Dane Paproth leading the way Kongorong will be fresh and ready to go and Mount Burr will be firing on all cylinders aer a huge win against Tantanoola in round 18 by 52 points.

Mount Burr completed a comfortable 131-point win over Tantanoola at home at Mick and Jean Walker Oval on Saturday

The added impetus for the weekend's contest is that Port MacDonnell could well be pung their guernseys in the furnace and not just reaching for the mothballs.

Port MacDonnell was two goals clear when the final siren sounded at Mick and Jean Walker Oval on April 30.

The Mozzies are also not lacking in the talls with Hamish Smith enjoying a season uninterrupted by injury

The seasiders spoiled those plans with a decisive 56-point win which would have sent their confidence levels sky-high.

HATHERLEIGH v PORT MACDONNELL

FIRST SEMI-FINAL footbALL PREVIEWS

Verdict - There was no premiership hangover for Port MacDonnell in 2022 and it lost a few games by a handful of points which denied it second

Sullivan played league football in the SANFL with zone club Glenelg and won the 2021 Stan Jones Memorial Medal as the best-onground in the grand final at Tigerland.

The Roosters have also got two recent wins and Joshua Wilson and Elroy Samuel will look to use their home ground knowledge.

By Steve Walters - The SE Voice

The Demons are coming off a 61-point loss to Glencoe and the Eagles are coming into the game with some momentum aer a 105point demolion of Kalangadoo.

KONGORONG v MOUNT BURR

On the other hand, the Mozzies are the most successful MSEFL club in terms of A Grade flags as there are 19 premiership pennants hanging on the walls of their Thomas Drive clubrooms.MountBurr has the unique mascot of a Mozzie while the green-and-gold colours are not widely used in footy circles across the naon.

SENIOR COLTS JUNIOR COLTS

Port MacDonnell needs Nash Perryman and Kai Gilmore to perform while for Hatherleigh Thomas Atkinson and Eli Sims will have to be on their game.

The golden era began with a breakthrough flag under coach Tony Hodgens in 1959 and it was followed up immediately in the next season of 1960 with Ron Carlson at the helm.

Macdonaldplace.has also been in good form this season and could add an unprecedented fih Mail Medal to his trophy collecon.

The winner will be announced on Sunday aernoon at the annual Mail Medal presentaon funcon at the Millicent War Memorial Civic and Arts Centre.

On the big Robe oval, Mount Burr will have to keep the ball well away from Sullivan and IfMacdonald.theycando this well, the Mozzies will be on their way to a preliminary final berth.

In the return game at the Bay on July 9, Mount Burr won a low-scoring match by the lowest possible margin. His tally of 63 goals put him in second place on the MSEFL goalkicking list.

Having said this it will be an exceponally good bale and it will come down to the wire It is finals me in the 2022 Mid South Eastern Football League season and all roads lead to Robe on Saturday Both teams can play exceponally good football and will need to be switched on right from the get-go.

Kallan Bevan will lead from the front having played at the top level for the Mozzies and will need a huge effort from his fellow

With 12 premiership players either rering or heading to other clubs, it has been a remarkable effort for second-year coach Simon Merre to get his team into the finals.

PORT MACDONNELL v MOUNT BURR

Port MacDonnell and “September specialists” Mount Burr

A GRADE

The 2022 meengs of the two teams throw up few clues as to the outcome of the upcoming final.

A shake-up of the football compeons in this region is looming with Port MacDonnell having the idencal red-and-blue colours of West Gambier and same Demons nickname as South Gambier.

The aces in the pack for the Demons are the award-winning twin towers of Tim Sullivan and Will Macdonald.

The last me these two sides baled was back in round 12 and the Hawks collected a good win by 63 points.

At the other end of the oval, brothers Josh and Sam Wallis are the most formidable defenders in the compeon. Going on the outcome of Saturday's match which resulted in a narrow Kalangadoo win, it is likely to be Hatherleigh.

B Reserve 13 & Under GLENCOE v MOUNT BURR Glencoe and Mount Burr face off in the 13 & Unders for the first semi final down at Robe on Saturday. Glencoe's Chloe Childs and Violet Thorne move well in the goal circle and combine well together, shoong with accuracy, supported well from outside the circle by Tara Bellinger and Layla Hawke. Mount Burr's Callie Brant and Becky Davis have the ability to read the ball well, picking off passes and pulling in rebounds under the ring. Down the other end of the court Mozzies Holly Lowndes and Stella Davis are both versale, creave goalies and rarely miss. Glencoe defenders Ruby Buckley and Macy Williamson read their opposion easily and create ample turnovers. These two teams have had close outcomes throughout the season and the game could go either way on Saturday

B Grade

Hatherleigh and Glencoe bale it out on Saturday for a place in the Preliminary Final. Glencoe's Abbie Cocks and Laura Edwards combine well in the goal circle, with Cocks' strength and accuracy and Edwards' movement throughout the ring. Millie Smith and Sarah Broadhead work together well in the defensive circle and will make it hard for Glencoe's Sam Brierley and Zoe Mulraney to feed from outside the circle. At the other end of the court Eliza Mewe works hard to gain prime posion in the circle and shows leadership in direcng youngster Dakota Hateley and the play through Hatherleigh's aacking end. Glencoe playing coach Bec Edwards will put the pressure on for Hatherleigh's Rosie Nele around the ring, cung off drive and creang turnovers wherever possible. With a win each under their belts this game could go either way, with both teams pung in a strong fight.

15 & Under HATHERLEIGH v ROBE Hatherleigh and Robe go head to head in the 15 & Unders this weekend. The Eagles have a strong defensive line in Ayrlie Chambers, Niah Faulkner and Kyah Carruthers. Faulkner is a strong force in her side, working relessly in the defensive circle and can read the play well. Robe's Lucy Collins and Georgie Wirth will work hard in their goal circle to earn passes and score goals. Down the other end, the Roosters' Malda Yeo and Demi Birmingham will force Hatherleigh's goalies Hailey McGrath and Kalli Nele to work overme to earn their rebounds and score at every opportunity Hatherleigh's Deni Brown and Robe's Emily Dew will both fight for the ball and the opportunity to create turnovers throughout the court. Hatherleigh have come out on top both mes these teams have faced off throughout the minor rounds, but wither team could come away with the win.

A Grade ROBE v TANTANOOLA Robe face off against Tantanoola in the A Grade first semi final. Both teams fought hard throughout the minor rounds to earn their spot in the top four, and neither team will go down easily on Saturday. Tantanoola's goalie combinaon of Emma Gould and Jami Walker work well together, moving with ease in the circle, ulising Gould's accuracy and strength under the post. Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins will need to work overme to curb the influence of Tant's goalies in the circle, using their agility and ability to read the ball to their advantage. Kate Bromley, Michelle Robinson and youngster Tayla Rowe work hard in the defensive end for the Tigers and will be pung pressure on for Wing Aack Lucy Perkins and goalies Sarah Laurie and Halle Carter. Laurie and Carter have proven that they work well together in the circle, both shoong with accuracy and fighng for every possible rebound. With a win a piece this game could go either way

17 & Under TANTANOOLA v MOUNT BURR Tantanoola are set to face Mount Burr on Saturday in the 17 & Unders. Both of these sides have very strong defensive combinaons, with Mount Burr's Olivia Dean and Tantanoola's Tayla Rowe playing defence in their respecve A Grade sides. Both teams also have strong goalies in Bella Poulish for the Tigers and Faith Mckenzie for the Mozzies. Mckenzie is supported well through Jasmine Holland who has the ability to convert goals from all over the circle, and throughout the midcourt by Jemma Bowering and Oliviah Baker. Poulish combines well in the circle with Charloe Shaw who is an accurate shooter who can hold strong and take those tricky passes into the circle. Ebony Cytrowski and Megan Holland for the Tigers feed their goalies from outside the circle with accuracy and work the ball down the court with ease. Throughout the minor rounds these teams have played close games, and this game promises to be another close one, worth the Pwatch!ortMacDonnell play off against Hatherleigh in the B Reserve this weekend. These teams have played two close games this season, finishing each game with less than 5 goals difference. The Eagles' side has seen a few injuries this season and may sll be a bit unseled come Saturday as they try out goalie combinaons. The Demons have strength in their goal circle through Robyn Hill and Ainsley Mann, both fighng hard for rebounds and shoong with accuracy. Hatherleigh's Fiona Jackman and Lucy Bell are strong defenders in the circle and will force Port Mac's goalies to earn every possession. Throughout the centre

Port MacDonnell's Paige Cawthorne and Hatherleigh's Sally Bateman will have a tough bale down the court, with both players fighng for any loose balls and creang turnovers for their respecve teams. The Demons have won both mes these teams have faced off throughout the season and will likely come away victorious.

A Reserve HATHERLEIGH v GLENCOE

HATHERLEIGH v PORT MACDONNELL

Hatherleigh take on Port MacDonnell in the B Grade first semi final. Hatherleigh's defensive end works well together and will put pressure on the Port Mac goalies from the outset. Sophie Gibbs combines well with Georgia Gray in the circle and they are supported well by Meg Gray and Ella Major. Jess Grigg has been the dominant goalie for the Bay and the defenders will need to get on top early to limit her scoring opons. Candice Merre is creave at WA and feeds her goalies with precision passes. Jasmyne Bellinger has had a great season in centre for the Eagles and Deanne Spencer will need to be on top of her game to limit Bellinger's influence through the mid court. Hatherleigh has a lot of opons in the goal circle and will rely on the maturity of Hayley Bell to steady the younger players around her. Port Mac's defenders Brooklyn Jones and Rachel Johnstone are ght defenders and will snap up any missed opportunies by the Eagles goalies. Both teams have solid mid courts who have the ability to change the game. With a win each in the minor round this could go either way.

Kalangadoo 64 def Hatherleigh 35 The match started with both teams at high intensity, with Kalangadoo the first team to sele and take control. Maddi Redman and Rosie Nele worked overme with the Kalangadoo defence not giving them any second opportunies. Tegan Telfer and Erin Watson worked hard to find the space in the mid court with Kalangadoo making them work hard for every ball. Kalangadoo led at the first break 20 to 8 The second quarter went much the same with Hatherleigh ghtening up their defence and giving their goalies more opportunies but it was not enough to keep up with the fast paced Kalangadoo side with the halime score ending up at 32 to 17 Hatherleigh made just one change at the main break, with Maddie Redman heading back to GS and Rosie Nele into to GA. Kalangadoo's line up remained unchanged and they connued to convert adding scoreboard pressure going into the final break with a 19 7 quarter Hatherleigh maintained their work rate for the final quarter but were unable to reduce the margin Lara MacGregor and Demi Vanderhorst contested every possession and got their hands to some rebounds to give their side some more scoring opportunies, but the Magpies forged ahead with the final margin of 29 goals

WRobinsoniththeresult in no doubt, Pt Mac threw the bibs around and had a bit of fun in the last term Glencoe connued on their winning way; a final term played with a bit of fun and good sportsmanship. Glencoe were convincing winners in the end, with a 29 goal win

Glencoe sing 2nd on the ladder looking for a strong performance before finals, while for the Demons it was their final oung for season 2022

The game started out at a fast pace - Glencoe a very strong and seled side, while the Demons had their usual 8 players back, which they haven't had for a few weeks. Malinda Markiewicz was on fire from the start, shoong 11 without a miss in the first quarter. She was ably backed by Jenna Paproth, who also shot with 100% accuracy in the first term. The Murphies lead 18 11 at quarter me

Best players - Kalangadoo: Kori Collins, Reanna Wetherall; Hatherleigh: Erin Watson, Rosie Nele

In the last quarter neither team made any changes and it was a very similar contest to the third quarter. Ellen Ramke and Emma Grant worked well together, turning over any opportunity they could and rebounding strong for Robe. Once again Laurie and Carter were working relessly in goals, scoring with high accuracy and making it look easy for their team. Nangwarry never gave up and ran out the remainder of the quarter, having passengers of play where they were outscoring Robe. The damage was already done in the other quarters and Robes lead was too strong. At the final whistle Robe took away the win by 49 goals Best players - Nangwarry: Kylie Heaver, Ange Pra; Robe: Sarah Laurie, Halle Carter Port MacDonnell 42 def by Glencoe 71 Robe 84 def Nangwarry 35

Robe once again came out firing, working the ball onto their circle edge with ease and with precise passing from Annie Hunter and Demi McCarthy Robe were able to score quickly. Nangwarry drove the ball down well into their aack line when they had possession and Wilson was able to do give and go's with Heaver to get herself in a beer shoong range. Carly Ploenges connued to work relessly in defence for Nangwarry trying to curb the quick passes into Robe's goalies who were both shoong with high accuracy. Unfortunately Robe were too strong again this quarter and went into half me with a 27 goal lead Tant rotated their goalies with Gould going to GA and J Walker back into GS. The final quarter connued to be played at a fast pace with defensive pressure being prevalent all over the court. Both sides clogged up the centre court with aack lines having to be paent. Schultz connued to be a strong presence through the centre passing well to a moving circle in Nulty and Clark. Gould was sll the dominant goalie having a great tussle with Hagge at GD Mt Burr made changes with Sarah Nulty coming on at GA and Zoe Brown going to the bench. Tant was more seled coming off the long break taking turnovers and capitalising through Gould at GS. The game connued to be a strong defensive effort from both teams with Mt Burr gaining the upper hand through the quarter. Shultz connued to dominate the centre with C Walker being the dominant feeder for Tant. The game connued goal for goal with Mt Burr ending the quarter with a slight advantage. Mount Burr once again finished the quarter with the lead.

Mt Burr started strongly with Maddi Hagge (GD) and Olivia Dean (GK) combining well to make it hard for Tant goalies to gain possession. Both teams put defensive pressure all over the court forcing passing errors. Clark and Gould were the focal point at GS in their respecve teams. Schultz and Meg Fennell at WA connued to drive the ball to the circle edge feeding goalies with accuracy. C Walker and J Walker both worked hard out of the circle to feed the goalies. Both teams had 20 goals to their names at half me

The third quarter saw Nangwarry make some changes. Kylie Heaver went to C; Ebony Lawson went to WD and Jemma Parsons came on at GD These changes seemed to work in Nangwarry's favour and they were able to get a jump on Robe Early. Laurie was sll a focal point in the goal circle for Robe but Ploenges was able to take a few intercepts to stop the run that Robe were having Heaver drove well through the middle for Nangwarry and was having a great tussle with Robe's Hunter. Wilson and Pra stepped it up a notch for Nangwarry in the goal circle and they were able to find their groove a lile, scoring every opportunity they were given. What felt like a more even quarter, even though Robe were able to extend their lead out to 40 goals

Robe started the game off strong and with lots of talk. They were able to turn over the first centre pass and with strong holding and accurate shoong from Sarah Laurie, they were able to get off to a great start. Nangwarry took a few centre passes to get into the game and find their feet but were able to get on the scoreboard early with paent passing from Kylie Heaver into Ange Pra and Tahlia Wilson. Annie Hunter was proving to be a focal point in the middle for Robe and drove onto the circle well and passed into Laurie with ease, who converted every opportunity thrown at her Nangwarry's defence were working relessly trying to stop Halle Carter and Sarah Laurie but they proved to be too strong in the first quarter. Robe going into the break 17 goals up Mount Burr 43 drew Tantanoola 43 In a 200 game milestone for Ebony Clark the game started evenly with missed opportunies from both sides through strong defensive pressure. Both teams had missed opportunies unl the game seled. Mt Burr's Laura Schultz drove strongly in Mt Burr's aack, feeding Ebony Clark at GS as the focal point in the circle. Tant's GS Emma Gould was taking strong overhead passes from feeds from Casey Walker at WA, to be the focal point in the circle. Mount Burr led by 2 goals at quarter me.

The 2nd quarter both teams remained unchanged Alana Winter and Belinda O'Dine in defence for the demons put in a reless effort to try to slow the run of Glencoe's goalies but Markiewicz in parcular was unstoppable, shoong 14 without a miss. Murphies Ashlea Edwards and Donna Jaeschke were strong in the aack line and fed their goalies with precision. Glencoe built on their lead, 13 goals up at the main break Pt Mac made some changes, Kirby Carrison moving to defence, Gilmore back to GS and Brooke Williams into goals. Gilmore had a good quarter, Jess Lynch made a difference at WD, while Liza Mutch in C had a great tussle with Glencoe's Jaeschke. Pt Mac had a beer quarter but it was sll a far more seled Glencoe who held the advantage with Sarah Edwards, Chantelle Cocks and Chloe Pfitzner doing some brilliant defensive work across the court. Glencoe increasing their lead to 18 at the final break

B Grade: 63-35. What a great win to end the minor round girls! With the bare 7 players again everyone hit the court running. Our defensive pressure everywhere was fantasc and created a lot of turnovers. Amy (Plantaon Treated Timber Award) provided great drive out of defence and hit her target every me which was well supported by Hayley (second best) who fed extremely well. Big thanks to Alarna for sing bench for us and to all players that have helped us out this season. Also a big thank you to our ever reliable scorer, Joyce, we would be lost without you and to Ryleigh who mes for us every home game. You ladies made my job a lot easier. I am extremely proud of our season girls - let’s keep pushing for the final reward. Go Murphies!

B Reserve: 31-51. Bad luck girls - not the end of the season we were hoping for but we were beaten by a beer side on the day. Our passes weren't on and we struggled with the strong defensive pressure. Key 2 Sale Award went to Bri for a great game at GA and second best to Jasmine for an awesome game in GK. I have definitely enjoyed the season coaching and its been great to see the development of our younger players while playing senior netball. Look forward to seeing you all back next year

15 & Under: 32-64. Final game for the season - Alyssa and Montana started well in shoong and Maddy fed the goalies well. Sienna and Emma worked hard with picking up a few rebounds and intercepts. We had a mix up of some posions in the third and fourth quarter. Maloney Plumbing Award went to Sienna for reading the ball well and playing consistent throughout the whole game - even managing a quarter at centre. Second best went to Shae for creang drive down the court but great movement in the goal circle and shoong 3 goals. Well done girls you all walked off the court with big smiles. Junior 1: Great game girls. It was great to see everyone applying everything that we have learnt all season to our final game. Eddie Kuhl Tyres Award went to Annabelle who was always there for the next pass and took some great intercepts. Second best went to Charloe who had to play on some very tall players and worked very hard to get the ball all game. It has been awesome to watch you improve as players and as a team during the season. Great game again girls, we will see you all next year for another great season of netball!

With a few players sll absent, playing A Grade or injured, spots were sll up for grabs and we are hoping that this week will see the Reserves finally at full force. The lads got off to a slow start, but finally got going in the 2nd half running out with a 43-point win. Nathan would be pleased with the result in the end considering the condions. Tory bagged 10 (50 for the year) to place him 4th on the league goal kicking, a great effort aer a fair few years out of the game. Best players were Tory Weaver, Jayson Finnis, Marcus McGrath, Dane Paproth, Trent Hawke and Taylor McGrath. This week will be a great game to watch and hopefully the Ressies can book themselves a spot in the Preliminary TheFinal.A Grade were coming off a 5game win streak coming into this match, with only Pt Mac and Kalangadoo as sides we haven't beaten this year. The belief was strong that we could come away with a win against the Bay, but unfortunately the condions didn't really suit our game style very well and Pt Mac were too good and don't lose at home very oen. We ended up going down by 66 points. By the end of the game, it was hard to tell who was who with some guernseys completely covered in mud and the ball literally geng stuck in certain parts of the ground. The boys made a beer run at it in the 2nd half but couldn't capitalise on some beer forward half pressure. The boys will now regroup and support the Reserves in the finals series and look to work on a long pre-season campaign. Hopefully next year we can start the season a lot beer and aim for a finals posion, which we will be more than capable of. Best players were Dylan Childs, Tom Edwards, William Maloney, Jack Edmonds, Jake Blackwell and Brodie ThankGlynn.s again to all our sponsors, volunteers, players, coaches, team managers, umpires, and parents. The club is in a great place at the minute and we look forward to a successful finals campaign and an even beer 2023.

Best players were Ben Weedon, Digby Richards-Fennell, Marcus McGrath, Henry Williams, Aidan Hurley and Brodie Pfitzner Go Glencoe!

Junior 2: What a great way to end the season, all of you should be proud of yourself. You guys have improved so much and with lots of first mers it was great to see your netball skills grow. Metalworx Award went to Billy who made great drives to the ball, was cheering on his teammates when they got a turnover and had lot of hands to the ball. Lico Pty Ltd Award went to Baylee, for calling for the ball when she was in front and making space on the court. Third best went to Shelby who shot very well, was in front and made great drives down the court. Fourth best went to Kae who got a lot of turnovers in defence, made some great leads when she was in aack and even made a super shot. Abbie you had some great leads down the court, Ruby who got some great turnovers when in defence, Hollie who got some touches down the court and an amazing super shot. Mia you had big hands up all down the court and got some touches, Indianna you did great movement and running aer loose balls as well and Charloe who got turnovers and touches down the court and some great dodging in the circle. It has been a great season coaching you all and thank you for being amazing kids to coach. Once again you all should be proud of yourself, well done. Hope to see you all next year

17 & Under: 34-32. What a way to finish the season with an amazing win and an amazing way to end the junior years for both Amber (DeGaris Lawyers Award) and Chelsea (2nd best) - well done to you both. I hope to see you both do big things in seniors in the future at Glencoe. It certainly was a very mixed season this year with many ups and a few downs but overall you have all had so much improvement and I can't wait to see what the remaining girls in the team can achieve next season - it has been a pleasure to coach you all. A big thank you must go out to Leanne and Leona for scoring for the majority of the season. Thank you to all the other parents that have helped out too. Thank you to the girls that umpired - I know it’s not everyone’s favourite job but without you games would not be able to be played. Thank you to our weekly award sponsors and good luck to all the remaining Glencoe netball and footy teams in finals - you should all be so proud. Go out there and give it your all.

A Grade: 71-42. Great job girls, that was a really good game to finish our home and away season. Our transion both out of defence and off the centre pass into aack was much more controlled last week. A very posive sign that we are able to incorporate what we work on at trainings into game day so seamlessly. It was an amazing team game where everyone stood up and did their role. Malinda and Jenna (O'Brien Electrical Award) read well off each other and connued to present unl the girls on the outside could find the best opon. Ashlea and Donna fed amazingly and were paent with ball in hand. Fantasc driving out of defence by Chloe (second best) and it is great to see you have a crack at balls transioning down the court. Chantelle adjusted well to a number of different opponents and put pressure on all game and rebounded strongly. Let’s knuckle down now and fine tune a few things to give ourselves the best opportunity in the finals. Onto last weekend's games and the Junior Colts played a great game against the 4th placed Port Mac side to come away with a 61-point win. Congratulaons must go to Daniel Ferguson who kicked 7 goals to bring his season tally to 50 goals and earn him equal league leading goal kicker A fantasc achievement that he should be immensely proud of. The kids enjoyed playing in the mud and displayed some of their fast ball movement even though the condions weren't ideal for slight bodies. Best players were Lachlan Brierley, Kallan Price, Tighe Hurley, Blake Gosden, Tyrone Siebert and Bailey Dale. They now have a week off before they play in the Semi Final against Kongorong for a place in the Grand Final. They should go in with a lot of confidence to win that game and go all the way this finals series. Good luck!

The club wouldn't exist without our sponsors, so a big thank you to all our sponsors who we rely upon to get us through the season and each week. Also, to our countless volunteers, we thank you for your efforts each week, always a thankless job, our volunteers are constantly there to run the canteen, stubby booth, bar, umpire, team manage, ordering, grounds, maintenance and clean up. The club wouldn't survive without this help and sacrifice of all these wonderful

A huge congratulaons must go to all our coaches; Adam, Ben, Nathan and Tom on a successful year. They have ensured that each grade has improved throughout the season and that the players have enjoyed themselves and built a strong culture. We are already looking to be in a strong posion for next season with players already signed on and excited for pre-season to start. Adam, Ben and Tom have all resigned to coach again and we looked forward to them again bringing the best out of themselves and the playing group. The Senior Colts welcomed their final game of the season as the ground got muddier. The improvement in their teamwork and skills this season has been a pleasure to watch. They ended up going down by 75 points but have finished the season with 4 wins in what was a very tough year for numbers on game day and especially on training nights. Pie and his team should be proud of their efforts and next year will bring more brighter moments.

A Reserve: 62-35. Well done girls, what a great game to finish off the season before finals. Thank you Chelsea for playing, you did a great effort with many touches down the court. Sam and Tameka great game again working together and reading the play in both mid court and the circle with Sam receiving the B&P Travel & Cruise Award. Alyce and Zoe great effort in feeding into the circle and reading off one another. Laura and Abbie always a great combinaon to watch and with great accuracy all game. As we lead into the finals series, one thing we all need to work on is driving to the ball and connue to meet the ball, as too oen the opposion are geng easy intercepts and increase our defencing pressure the whole way down the court with every player. Rest up girls and ready for this week for a great game and win.

Laspeople.tweekend brought an end to the minor round for all clubs and we now head into the business end of the season. We have our 2nd place Junior Colts and our 3rd place Reserves represenng us from the football club and they are hoping to make a deep run into the finals aer a successful year. We also have 4 netball sides represenng us on the court and hopefully we see some of these sides li the Premiership cup come the end of September

FOOTball

And just like that the minor rounds are done. Congratulaons to all those teams that have made finals and we wish you the best of luck – it is great to see the club so well represented again this year. To those teams that didn't make finals bad luck but it was great to see the improvements made by all teams from the start of the season to the end. A big thank you to all of our coaches, umpires, scorers, sponsors and other volunteers for being giving of your me for our club – we appreciate you all.

13 & Under: 16-38. Wow what a game girls - unfortunately we didn't get the win but you all gave it a crack. Ruby you had a ripper game in defence receiving intercepts giving the goalies a chance to score which earned her the Dycer Construcon award. Second best went to Isabella for an amazing game in defence pung so much pressure on her aacker. Everyone played amazing with many turn arounds but let’s keep our heads high as we go into finals. Best of luck with your game against Mt Burr - let’s go Glencoe!

GLENCOE MURPHIES

The Reserves were playing a nothing game with no sides able to move spots on the ladder. With that in mind they sll needed to gain some momentum going into this week’s do or die eliminaon final against Robe.

NETball CLUB NOTES

Well done to our President Ted Peacock, who has had a busy year, but has led the club in fantasc fashion. He's kept the club organised and pushed to get the club as professional as possible with the help of his commiee members.

Fourth was Brent who loves playing against the Doo, the skipper kicked 4 and rounded out the best. Hopefully we can get a few back from injury and get back to full capacity leading into finals!

13 & Under: What a way to finish off our season! You worked hard all game, not giving Kalangadoo an inch. Meeka, Olivia B and Poppy defensively were on their toes, boxed out well under the ring and denied their opponent an easy ball. Grace and Olivia Beggs chased down the loose balls, doing the lile 1%'s. Olivia H, Luca and Leni had great vision into our goalies and provided strong drives down the court. Sylvie ran all day, playing strong over head and finding the front posion and Sienna shot with precision. Even though we didn't get the win, it was a great game to watch. Awards: Sylvie Barlow (Gino's Pizza), Grace Andre (Dentons Sportspower), Sienna Clark (Corner Clip), Poppy Fitzgerald, Olivia Beggs, Olivia Bellinger, Olivia Hassell, Meeka Hales, Luca Hamilton & Leni Carruthers (Macca's).

neTball CLUB NOTES

B Reserve: We knew coming into the game it was going to be a hard physical game, but to our credit we gave it our all only going down by 3 goals. Nic and Sarah fought really hard in goals pung up some great shots. Our aack line with Staci, Grace and Sally ran hard all game geng their hands to many balls and creang turnovers. Defensively we were strong all game, Fee going into WD in the 2nd and applying a lot of pressure. Lucy really dug deep and rebounded really strongly along with Demi who came up from the 17's and once again really rose to the occasion. The last quarter Niah came on and played GD, her first game for us aer already playing 15's and 17's and she didn't disappoint, she held strong and applied a lot of pressure taking turnovers at every opportunity. A huge credit to both these junior girls for adapng up in the seniors like they have. Let's train really hard this week and really dig deep and come out strong this week. I say it every training and every game the importance of believing in yourselves and believing as a team. Thank you to Jess for scoring and Jo for PC. Huge thank you to everyone that has helped throughout the year from scoring, PC and ming and our umpires. Massive thank you to our trainers that have certainly had a busy season thus far. Awards: Nic Thomas (Somerset Hotel), Sarah Beare and Lucy Bell (Gino's Pizza).

17 & Under: What a way to end our season, walking away with a well fought win. Our teamwork, drive and determinaon really showed throughout all four quarters of our game. Our goalies shot well, geng some long bombs (Imogen's favourite) and some very good rebounds. Demi, had the biggest grin on her face the whole game, connuously driving the ball down to our goalies. And of course, Ellyshia and Niah, just a bloody good duo, rebounds, plenty intercepts and so much determinaon (and even a ball to Elly's head). We have come a long way since the first half of the season, we should walk away proud of our efforts and fight this season. A massive thank you to our 15's for constantly sing bench. Michelle for being our mum-manager and Belinda for scoring every week. Best players go to our top aged girls, who really delivered in their final game of junior netball. Awards: Demi Jones (Gino's Pizza), Elly Redden (Gino's Pizza), Dakota Hateley (Corner Clip). Junior 2: What a superstar group! I felt like I was able to sit back, relax and watch the game flow with four solid quarters. We created lots of space for each other in the aack line, making sure we worked as a team to bring the ball down the court. Defensively, we denied the opposion of any easy ball. Lots of strong passes down the court were used and some amazing shots were finished off in the goal circle! It was a great way to finish off the season. Well done girls. Awards: Charloe Chambers (Macca's), Myla Bowman (Denton's Sportspower).

B Grade: Last week I asked the girls to not think of the result, to just play and enjoy it and wow they started the first quarter with great intensity and team work to be up by 1 at quarter me. We somehow though in the 2nd let our heads drop and let Kalangadoo have a 9 goal turnaround. We couldn't get it back from there but to the girl's credit they fought to the very end, and we sll played a good game, we just have to capitalise on our opportunies. It’s me now to put in to play all the hard work we've done over the season and reward the great season we've had. Jas who has an incredible work rate and got plenty of turns to receive the AllSeasons-of-Beauty award. Hayley played with great strength against a tough opponent to get the Sassi award and lastly Meg played a very solid game at WD and then swapping to WA with great drives and strength to win the Somerset award. Thanks to Paris for scoring and Amy and Linda for PC. Awards: Jasmyne Bellinger (All-Seasonsof-Beauty), Hayley Bell (Sassi), Meg Gray (Somerset Hotel).

Awards: Erin Watson (Gino's Pizza), Rosie Nele (Gino's Pizza). A Reserve: Well, what a great finish to the year. The girls all stood up and played their hearts out, only going down by six goals in a very fast physical game to the top side. I'm so proud of this team and how they have come together this year. Let's go hard and enjoy this week. We have got this! Thank you to everyone who has helped during the season, it is much appreciated.

Awards: Lucy Corman (Somerset Hotel), Rosie Nele (All-Seasons-of-Beauty), Helen Hamilton (Gino's Pizza).

Awards: Leyla Marshall, Hazel Hamilton, Kirby Carruthers and Livvi Faulkner (Infigen Drinkboles).

Senior Colts: We made the trip down to Kalangadoo to take on the Magpies. Being the last game of the home and away season, we wanted the boys to really have a strong win to roll into finals. The first quarter was unreal by us kicking the first 5 goals and holding them to 1. Aer that the Pies kicked their way back into the game securing 6 goals to our 2 in the second quarter to make it a tough game. We went back out aer a rev up at half me to kick another 4 goals and another 5 in the last quarter. Our beer players for the day were Harvey Jones, kicking 11 goals and finishing with 91 goals for the year which is an outstanding effort. Second best was Je Faulkner, who really held us in the game during our second quarter lapse. Blake Werchon and Kaden Thomas both had a great game through the midfield. Ethan Leopold also found some form, taking good marks in the pack and providing a lot for us through ruck. We look forward for two weeks me to take on Robe in the second semi-final.

A Grade: A tough last game of the season for us against an inform Kalangadoo. Once again we juggled with players being out and strung together the best we could. It was important that we went out with a compeve mindset which we did but unfortunately weren't able to match Kalangadoo. Demi, Larz and Chels worked hard all game and were able to get touches and rebounds which helped us score when we could. Erin ran hard all game providing plenty of drive and turnovers. Maddie and Rosie worked hard and baled all game for posion in the circle, both you girls ulised your strength and speed which saw us slowly ck over the scoreboard. Unfortunately, this season hasn't been our year, we have had a lot thrown at us, and to our credibility we have regrouped most weeks and baled away. It’s me now to focus on the re-building stage for 2023 and be beer and stronger next year. Massive thank you to all players who have played and sat bench for us all year, to all the people who have chipped in to help score, me, and primary care every week we appreciate your me and help. Good luck to all Hatherleigh netball and football sides who are in the finals this year. Go Eagles!

HATHERLEIGH EAGLES

Junior Colts: We finished the home and away season off with a good win against Kalangadoo taking our season winning tally to 10 which seen us finish 3rd on the ladder. The team has been playing some really good footy the past month which is good leading up to the finals, with a few top age players out against Kalangadoo it was a good chance for some players to have more game me in some new posions and I'm pleased how everyone played there role for the team. A focus we have been training for is our accuracy at kicking goals, we managed to kick 16.10 which was a good effort and having mulple goal scorers shows the team’s working well together. It's going to be a tough finals campaign but I'm happy with the footy we have been playing and hopefully have a chance to cause an upset!

15 & Under: It was a tough day playing a well-drilled Kalangadoo side. We started with confidence, scoring on our passes, and moving the ball fluidly through the court, Kalangadoo's defensive pressure was hard to match and as the game went on, we fell into old habits. We need to work hard to move towards the ball, look for first opons and not force the ball into our goal circle, but be paent. We managed to keep our work-rate high and there was a lot of posives to take from this game to work on at training. Let's re-group, reset and march forward into this week. Thanks Poppy and Leni for sing bench. Awards: Deni Brown (Ignion Fitness), Niah Faulkner (Gino's Pizza).

B Grade: We travelled over to face Kalangadoo, the boys have been looking forward to this hit out for a few weeks now, and a good hit out is what we got. The Doo brought plenty of heat and pressure around the ball, and was a good hard fought contest ll the last siren. We didn't play our best football and missed a few chances to put them away, all in all a good 36 point win in the end. Todd Watson showed his class and drive from CHB to take out BOG, Benny Leopold got set a task Thursday night and he done just that to take second. Ethan Bowman showed that he is as hard as a cat’s head and put his skills on show to be third.

Junior 1: The J1 girls finished the season with a bang! Their defensive pressure right down the court made it almost impossible for Kalangadoo to get any flow into their game. We were paent with our ball delivery and were passing the ball back to reset when needed. Our paence paid off, with goalies scoring freely from close range. Amazing to see the improvements in all girls this year. They have become confident netballers, with a great understanding of the posions. They have worked as a team and supported each other. The girls have listened to feedback and tried to implement it into their game. Good luck next year

A Grade: Another home and away season comes to an end with a thrilling game against ladder leaders Kalangadoo. We started of really strong with good pressure and ball movement providing plenty of shots on goal we went into the first break 3 goals up. The second quarter Kalangadoo hit in hard and used their short game to expose us and kicked back into the lead. We came out aer half me knowing we dropped our pressure and had to bring it back, the last half was a good wrestle with both teams having a really good crack at it! Unfortunately we didn't quite make the most of our opportunies and came up short by two goals. Gerard McGrath had a blinder down back and was elite by foot sending some dangerous kicks into our forward half. Up forward Brad Mitchell (3 goals) and Paddy Chay (2 goals) were dangerous targets all day. Mark Marrio had another big day in the ruck while Joe Ferg was crashing in all day in the middle. We look forward to a week off and then we head down to Mount Burr to face Kalangadoo in the 2nd semi. Go Eagles!

B Grade: Aer starng off very slowly and numerous basic errors, we were struggling to find new combinaons to work. The first quarter was an undy one and saw the Pies down at the break. Junior Ebony hit the court at C and immediately had an impact on the game creang many turnovers. Goalies Gina and Bel started to find some form being well supported by hard working, always available Rhi. The defensive end was working relessly to connue to create many turnovers. Emily was causing headaches for the goalies and was well supported by Deb and Steph also geng numerous hands to balls. The second half was much more fluent and the Pies kept extending their lead. A great game to finish on moving into finals. Best: Emily Mulraney, Rhi May (Terry White Chemist), Schultz (St Mary's Winery).

Reserves: The benefit of winning games throughout the season is so that we can finish second on the ladder and have a week to regroup, which is massively fortunate given that we were beaten by the beer side on Saturday against Hatherleigh. Although we made a number of fundamental errors, Hatherleigh were well in control at each change. Beer players for Kalangadoo were Josh Searle and Caleb Gibbs who competed all game and they were ably supported by Dallas Jeffree and Jusn Mansell in the back line. As a team we are looking forward to the week off and the opportunity to play Hatherleigh again at Mount Burr in the second semi.

17 & Under: A great team game where we all adapted to last minute changes - again. Sophie (Intersport) ran hard all game, again creang countless plays and providing excellent direcon. Eb (Boost) did exactly what was asked of her and was rewarded with a number of intercepts. Thank you to Shayden, Georgia and Gabby for helping last week - and all of the 15s over the season who played and sat bench. Unfortunately our season is over, but how pleasing it is to reflect on how far we came as a team despite the changes in players and posions and everything else that could be variable.

Under 11: The juniors came up against a big Hatherleigh team. They competed hard all game and were able to showcase their skills in front of a big home crowd! Aer the game the kids were lucky enough to receive a hoody specially designed for them. Thank you to Trav and Jes who kindly sponsored the jumpers!

Round 18 saw us host Hatherleigh in two top of the table clashes for both Senior grades. Senior Colts: We took it right up to 2nd placed Hatherleigh. Saturday would have been our most complete performance of the season. Our pressure was immense. Unfortunately we lost by 4 goals in a late surge from Hatherleigh. Well done to all the Senior Colts this year. A huge huge season. You all developed into great young footballers and great young men! We had 8 Senior Colts play A Grade footy this season! A phenomenal effort!

MAGPIES CLUB NOTES In conjuncon

Seniors: Coming into this clash there was a feeling of excitement, a top of the table clash and a glimpse of the 2nd semi final was on everyone's minds. Fortunately we ran out victors by 15 points. Sll a few to come back in for finals and sll improvement to come. Beer players were Lachy Jones, Sam McManus, Pat Davies and Ben Gregory Looking forward to see everyone in a few weeks when we take on Hatherleigh at Mt Burr. Good luck and go Magpies!

Junior Colts: In their final game they took it right up to Hatherleigh, who were bigger and stronger. But with our focus being purely on pressure and team work the kids were able to strum up one of their more compeve games for the season.

A Grade: A great team effort to finish the minor round with a solid win. It was very pleasing to have a strong start to the match and to maintain that intensity for four quarters. Re, Loz and Sophie were relentless in defence and worked hard to create scoring opportunies. Kori and Abs were creave in the circle and combined effecvely. Best players Kori (RSL) and Re (Shelton's Butcher).

B Reserve: Won 45 to 41. Collins

Junior 1: Final game for the sweet lile magpies last week against a very put together Hatherleigh team. Ash, TeKani and Malda had a brilliant defensive game and worked so hard to create turnovers. Jorja, Lexi and Milla all provided strong aacking leads. I can't wait to watch these fabulous girls connue playing netball and improving as much as they have this season. Thank you girls for a lovely season. AshleyWendy's, TeKani - Bakers Delight. 13 & Under: Won 30 to 29. Hungry Jacks award to Malda, Molly received Boost award, DK Coffee to Ava and Devine Gis to Tekani.

A Reserve: A very tough game last week for our last minor round. We missed Lucy and Estella but are very grateful to have the depth of players with Anthea and Chloe slong in seamlessly. Our first half was a lile rushed and it took a minute to adjust to Hatherleigh’s fast pace and ght defence. Shanen and Shanae had to work smarter to pick off quick passes and by the 2nd half had monopolised on any rebound opportunity to create more opportunies for our goalies. Zoe fed the ball into Maddy beaufully, but it was Chloe and Jamie's relentless defensive pressure that had us come away with a solid win in the second half. Good job girls. Enjoy the weekend off and ready to come out firing in the 2nd semi.

Junior 2: Great job girls, you have all come so far this year You used the space well and watched that ball right into your hands. We all look forward to watching you grow and improve next year. Olivia - Bakers Delight, Adele - Wendys, Willow - DK Coffee.

KALANGADOO with

15 & Under: Impressive win girls. Well done to Lucy and Malda for showing they are more than capable at the 15's level. Gabby (Wendy's) had a great game at both ends of the court and Georgia (Boost) showed her maturity and leadership working with different combinaons and geng countless intercepts. Chloe (Intersport) was again a superstar and demonstrated her athlec brilliance all over the court! Congratulaons girls on a great season, but now all our hard work really needs to start.

B Grade: What a fun season girls. Hope you've had as much fun as I have. You all get best players. Awesome shoong Maddie. Can’t wait to celebrate with you soon. Vanity, F45 and Fih & Madison awards.

Junior Colts: With the phone running hot Friday night and Saturday morning and having a few pull out sick it was a different looking line up to most games and allowed a few U11's to come up for some game me. It was always going to be a tough game against a strong and determined Glencoe side, who have only lost the one game for the year and from the outset it proved that way. They managed to get the jump on us early as they seled the quicker of the 2 teams but credit to our young Hawks, who chased and baled throughout the four quarters, to make a game of it. Unfortunately, we lost our shape and natural game style at mes and the young Murphies maximised every opportunity to inflict our first loss for the year. Plenty of posives to take away from the game with the way we conducted ourselves, connued to chase and hunt and never gave up throughout the four quarters, to a point we could have stolen the win late in the 4th if not for some inaccurate kicking in front of the big scks. Now a chance to reset, have some fun and with a few weeks off before taking on Glencoe again in the 2nd Semi, hit the track and work on how we want to play our brand of footy. Best players and awards: Nate Von Stanke-Dowie - Rarcoola Structural Award, Rhys NewtonRocks Shop Award, Ryan Lucas - Spot On Fishing, Harrison Elletson - Mick Mullan Award, Blake TelfordCoaches Award, Cohen GalpinJaneway Plumbing Award. Now we look forward to what is going to be an excing final series aer a couple of weeks off. Go Hawks!

Seniors: Unfortunately, we didn't get the jump we were aer, but kicked ourselves back into it to lead the first change. It was a hard fought out physical second quarter with both teams having their moments. An accurate Glencoe kicked away again in the start of the third with us closing again sll trailing by a few goals coming into the last. The game was sll played well and the only thing cosng us the game was our inaccuracy on goal, with more scoring shots for less goals.

Carn' the Hawks!

17 & Under: Great effort by the girls in what was a nail bing game! Great to see how much effort and energy they put in though to walk away with a 1 goal win. They fought very hard and showed how much they wanted to win which paid off and I'm so proud of you girls for being able to finish off our season on a high. Best players went to Becky Duivenvoorde - Fih & Madison, and Jasmin McKinnon - Vanity Makeup.

Thanks to Elite Supps for fuelling us week in and week out and helping us in a fantasc season!

Senior Colts: What a way to finish the home and away season with an 89point win over Glencoe! It was a beauful day with the sun out for the boys and we led from break to break quite comfortably, which was a good turn-around from the week before against Hatherleigh. Coming into the game I was just concentrang on geng back to the way we have structured the boys to play, making sure the boys enjoyed it. We play our best footy with a grin. Best players for the day were Tyler RichardsonMahews Petroleum Award, Thomas Bellinger - MT Wheels, Maverick Cooper - Swallow Drive Meats, Declan Wright - Mick Mullan Award, Bam Kent - Coaches Award and Shakielle Von Stanke - Badenoch's Deli Award. KONGORONG HAWKS CLUB NOTES

13 & Under: Fantasc effort by all for our last game of the season. The girls didn't give up the fight the enre game throughout the enre court. So proud of these girls, and the huge improvement they have shown from the start of the season unl the end. Best players were Harmoni Kent, Bakers Delight voucher and Jac Angelino, Hungry Jacks voucher. Well done girls!

Best players and awards: Bellum Hotel - Mick Waters, Corben O'Dea - Commercial Hotel Award, Ma Cordy - Collins Court Butcher, Tommy Hunter - Club Award along with Paully Ellis and high flying Jacka Ryan. Reserves: In a good hard game of football, Glencoe proved too strong in the last quarter for us. We played some excellent footy and looked like we would run away with it at mes. Ulmately our lack of fitness, and me on the training track honing skills, was our downfall. Full credit to Glencoe as they got the job done. Declan Robinson was outstanding for the Commercial Hotel Award. Bohdi Pannenburg tried his heart out all day for the Collins Court Butcher Award. Dan Hann completed a solid onfield season with the first Club Tea Award. Harry Maddern was the Pick Avenue Deli Award winner with Daman Baseley taking out the other Club Tea Award. Big thanks to Jenks, Kane and Bryce for all their help on the sidelines this season, and good luck to all the finalists over the next and support the colts sides in the finals, good luck to both teams, we're sure you'll do the club proud. Upcoming dates to put in the diary include: Superhawks & Cale Convenors Dinner - Saturday 3rd September; Senior Presentaon Night - Saturday 15th October (ckets on sale soon). A great night had back at the club aer our last home and away game against Glencoe. 'Kongchella' saw some great fesval get ups, a touch of glier and some crazy dance moves, making for a fantasc night for all. A special shout out to Wade on the tunes, Em, Evie and Kate for decorang and co-ordinang the event, and Jess (and Billie) for the balloon arch. The fesvies connued through Sunday as the senior group wound up their season.

15 & Under: Being our last game for the season, another close game but unfortunately we lost it again in the last quarter. We sll need to watch some of our passing and our footwork, however there were some great passages of play Thank you to Paige, Rahni and Imogen for sing bench for us. Awards: McDonaldsAlicia, and Hungry JacksThalia.

B Reserve: Well done on your last game girls, you gave it your all. In the first half of the game there were lots of intercepts and turnovers which resulted in a goal our end. In the second half our energy level dropped but we sll gave it our all. Great defensive work from Lea, Macy, Courtney and Alex. Tamika, Stacey, Elly and Alex played well in goals and Nat, Alisha, Stacey and Elly worked hard in the mid court. Awards were hard to pick as everyone played well so it could have gone to anyone, but Stacey had a great game earning her the Commercial Hotel award and Elly was always working in the mid court to get her the F45 award. Well done throughout the year, you started out as a new team this season and you all improved as a team as the season went on.

The last game's reviews were as follows:

Under 11: We travelled to Glencoe for what was the last game of the season for the kids. We lent Glencoe some players to even out the numbers, and they really enjoyed playing against their team-mates. The improvement from the start of the season to now has been amazing to watch and is a real credit to them all. Thank you to all who have come out throughout the year and helped with trainings, or umpiring on a Saturday, it has been greatly appreciated.

Go Burr!

A Grade: In perfect condions for one of the most important games of our season it all came down to the last game and it was intense unl the final whistle. It was definitely an excing game for the spectators and we gave it our all. To not technically lose the game and finish with a draw saw us fall short and miss out on a finals berth that we were so desperately wanng. It's tough to even comprehend that our season is all over but I'm so proud of every single one of you. Good luck to our remaining netball and football teams in the finals. A big thank you to Darren for his help and wealth of knowledge over the second half of the season. Allan for scoring, Zali for ming and our ever reliable primary carer Tanya.

B Reserve: Well done girls, slow start to the game, but finished off strong. Congratulaons to all of you for finishing the season on top and having a fantasc season. We have shown throughout the season how well we play together, even when it gets tough. We will need to show this during the finals, and know we can do it, we have the belief and support in each other to do this. Thanks to Susie for filling a team manager, Wayne for scoring, Donna for ming and Mandy for umpiring.

Thanks to our major sponsors Laura & Vicki Hairdressing, South East Property Sales, Kimberly Clark Australia, Your Choice Conveyancing, Banner Mitre 10, J&M Shanks Pty Ltd, Sonya Francis Photography, All in Balance - Brad Tilley Tax and Business Advisory, Clark & Sam Falng, Komma Media and Ignion Fitness.

B Grade: The season ended with the team pung up a brave effort against a strong Tantanoola side. Aer leading at quarter me, we felt we were in with a good chance but the bigger bodies and experience of our opposion eventually wore us down. Best players on the day were George Wimshurst, Shawn Evans, Braeden Thwaites, Je Bowering, Zac Gray and Harry Corman. Thanks to everyone that supported me and helped out throughout the year. Congratulaons to Tim Lile and Reece Duncan on geng their teams through to the finals. We wish both the Senior Colts and A Grade all the best for this week.

Congratulaons to Ebony Clark for her 200th game. Wishing you all the luck in your game today

Junior Colts: Unfortunately last week I was unable to make it due to work. But I’d like to thank all of those who helped out on Saturday for the kids from Carol Bevan who was team manager for not only the senior colts but also did the junior colts for the second week in a row. Frazer for coaching the kids for me again, he is always happy to jump in and help me out and the kids enjoy having you coach as well mate so thank you very much. To our boys we finished off the year strong and that’s all that I could of asked of you guys. You have done yourselves and the club proud especially for the numbers we’ve had this year. A massive thank you to all the volunteers who have helped through the year it’s been greatly appreciated. Best players for us were Charlie Bevan, Logan Carr, Jayden Garner, Jordan Burchell, Levi Thiele, Deklan Brant. From all accounts you boys played really well together as a team. Cheers Tom. Senior Colts: Last week was our last home game for the year and the boys put in a great team effort and came away with a comfortable win against Tant. Now we look forward to a knockout final down at Robe. The boys have worked hard all year to give themselves this chance. Best players last game were our captain Kallan Bevan who showed skill and composure beyond his age. Brock Sandow our other captain rebounded hard out of defence all game and got his wish to play for the opposion in the last quarter Bradlee Lawson used his run and skills all game to set up our aacking thrusts into the forward line. Callum Sparkes was at his best in the ruck and played like a rover every me the ball hit the ground. Muhammad Abduvhobov was solid across halack and rebounded hard out of defence and Trey Norton Lile ran hard all day as well as pressuring the opposion into many errors.

A Grade: Great to finish the regular season off at home with Gods Country turning on the weather and producing another great day for football! Aer a sluggish first half of football it was a great response by our guys to come out aer half me and play some good solid football. Our run and carry gave us plenty of opportunity in front of goal and aer being somewhat wayward last week against Robe it was pleasing to see the ball going through the big scks. Best for the day were6. Horse Guye who repelled aack aer aack and made every contest his. 5. Ridz with his kicks picking apart the opposion and seng us up whenever he had the ball. 4. Big Murph who baled hard in the middle against some solid opposion. 3. Brodz who was able to get 4 on the board and use his great game sense to set up plenty of others.

17 & Under: It was a close one for the girls, with tough match ups all down the court. We had many good passages of play and defensive turnovers. However, this wasn't enough to beat the Tantanoola side. Disappoinng end to the 2022 minor rounds; however, with a full team, I have confidence the girls will perform coming into finals. Thank you Lisa for umpiring, Wayne for scoring and Danny for ming.

Thank you to everyone that played a part in a successful gate raffle and sponsors day Our gate raffle was a huge success and we would like to thank Michael and Raelene Wallis for the donaon of the wood, Peter Muhovics for collecng and delivering the wood for our club and Ducky's Surf for the donaon of a voucher for second prize and of course everyone that sold ckets throughout the day. The Gate Raffle winners were: 1st prize - Taylor Allen, 2nd prize - Paul Holland. It was wonderful to be able to put on a day to show our gratude to our wonderful sponsors for this season and for them to watch a hard fought game from our A Grade girls, finishing the game in a nail bing draw, narrowly missing out on making the finals. Our hearelt commiseraons to Tam and the A Grade girls who gave it 110% on the day and throughout the season. Our 100 Club sponsorship draw took place Saturday with Anne and Peter Hughes drawn out as the winner of the $100 prize. Anne and Peter kindly donated their prize winnings back to the club. As the 2022 minor round comes to a close I'd like to take this opportunity to thank our senior and junior coaches that have worked relessly throughout the season to share their knowledge with their players and support to their teams both on and off the court, whilst again dealing with the added pressures of Covid throughout the season. Thank you to my execuve and commiee for your ongoing support of me, each other and the extra that goes on behind the scenes to make each week happen without too many hiccups. To all of our volunteers that have umpired, scored, med or helped with all the other dues, thank you all. We move into the finals series with 13s and 17s playing this week at Robe in the first semi final and we wish them all the very best, please make every effort to get down to Robe to support these girls from the sidelines. We will be hosng the second semi final, and our 15s and B Reserve will be playing for a chance to move into the grand final. There will be many dues on the day so we will need everyone to pitch in so the day runs smoothly and successfully. Rosters should be circulang so if you haven't put your name down, please approach one of the commiee and ask what you can do. A huge thank you to our sponsors for their ongoing and valued sponsorship of our club. To our life members, patrons, players, members and supporters thank you for your support and loyalty for not only this year but every year. So many people uning together for the one goal makes our club an inving, successful and enjoyable space to be each year and I thank everyone of you for your contribuon however big or small. Lastly thanks to Maurie, his execuve and commiee working with the netball club to maintain our focus of “One United Club.”

Lynne Lambert, MBNC President

Junior 2: As we wrapped up the junior season the girls delivered an outstanding match against Tant. I am extraordinarily proud of each of these girls and the development throughout the season. It's been amazing to watch you all grow and I want to thank you for allowing me to try and share my knowledge with you. Junior 1: Last game for the season/year! It was such a great season coaching these girls they all have improved so much! This week's game against Tant, the girls really pushed and gave it there all for the last game. Many intercepts were received and a few shots went in! Everyone did an amazing job and all should be so proud of themselves. Well done to the best players (Fasta Pasta, Ackys & Toy Kingdom). Thanks to Sydniee and Scarle for sing bench for us this year! Well done girls!

2. Young Ninja who we welcomed back, was great to have him working over me and giving plenty of guidance. 1. Kal Bevan who sloed through 5 majors and played another great Bevan game in the green and gold. On to Pt Mac at Robe this week in a do-or-die final. Looking forward to the next challenge. Thank you to all our supporters this year for following us through thick and thin. Look forward to having you all behind us again this weekend! Best of luck to all Burr teams throughout the finals series!

15 & Under: What a great way to finish the minor round. Finishing second. Saturday was an example of what a great team we have. Everyone stepped out and played their roll, even when put in different posions. We worked hard to dominate the front posion and had hands over every ball. Let's get excited for finals and really work on using our voices and keeping up the momentum. So proud of how far this team has come and I am posive we can go one beer. Awards went to Lola (Ackys Deli), Kodie and Kaylah (Subway). Thanks to Kelly Gamble for scoring.

13 & Under: Well done girls, great way to finish the season off. Super proud of you as individuals, we worked hard at training and it has shown in your game. Our team is improved at the right end of the season, and we are supporng each other on and off the court, which as a coach is great to see. With saying all this we made it, finishing in the top 4 and playing finals for your club, great experience and excing for all us. Enjoy it and let's come out firing today. Thanks to Lilly for filling in as team manager, Monique for scoring, AJ for ming and Stacey for umpiring. Awards –Callie (Fasta Pasta) and Sabine (Acky's).

Under 11: Huge thanks to the kids that parcipated this year Massive improvements throughout the year and have made an enjoyable year for all. Thanks to the parents for geng the kids to the footy each week, greatly appreciated.

Wow season 2022 has come to an end. We hope you all enjoyed your season as a Saint! Bad luck to our Under 15's who only just missed out on playing finals. We have a lot of potenal coming through and a number of extremely talented juniors. Our 13's were only just shy of making a finals appearance. So hopefully if they all sck together in a few years we will have a number of teams in Wfinals.elook forward to seeing everyone at Junior and Senior Presentaon. Please check Facebook for more informaon.

Junior 1: Well girls, that's the season done. What an awesome game to end on. You all played really well and gave us your best. Great looking for space and leading. You backed each other up and chased any loose ball. Thank you again to Leah and Zoe for helping us out again. Best players to Immy (Fasta Pasta) and Leah (Bakers Delight).

17 & Under: Firstly, we want to thank all our girls and the 15U who have filled in for us each week. Also to the scorers, mers and umpires without you all we would not have had a game each week. Our last game seen us come up against a strong robe team, the girls played some really good netball in patches with some good pressure down the court and we were moving well. Defence worked hard geng numerous touches and aack had more paence working ball around and when we didn't lob it was awesome. We really have improved a lot this season girls, I know it was disappoinng not to get that win, but every week you all really tried hard, so thanks girls for never giving up. It was also good to see the girls go out and have some fun for our last game and act on the feedback they had been given. Best was Molly Jones and Tanisha McNair B Grade: Well done girls! In our last game for the season aer a massive 12 goal turn around at 3/4 me we got the win we all wanted. It showed me that we can do it when we really want to and maybe if we had have had our me again could have come away with a few more wins. Thanks for the season, as a brand new team and with a different side each week, it was great to get to know each and everyone one of you! Enjoy the off season and hope to see you all back next year! Best players: Skye Fox and Bel Spink. Well done to B Grade who got the win for the last game!

Our last home game saw us host our sponsor's day and we are very lucky to have a great backing in that department thanks to Cassie and Chappo for your hard work. To those sponsors thanks and we hope you enjoyed the day!

Well that is a wrap for season 2022! I hope everyone enjoyed their season as a Saint! It has been a much beer season at Nangwarry with our brand new club rooms, winning our first game and our recruing. To those who volunteered each week thank you, as many people know without your help games cannot be played. To our coaches thank you for the me and effort you put in each week.

A Grade: Bad luck ladies, we came up against a very determined Robe team and with sickness once again raling our team we did our best with what we had. Even though our season is over, I just want to say how proud I am of you girls, you kept showing up week in week out. We have been thrown so much this season and we have not let it bring us down. We have showed up each week, played compeve netball and although we never achieved a win we had many wins in my eyes. We set ourselves a goal at the start of the season and the improvement we have made is a credit to the effort we have put in throughout the season. Thanks again for an enjoyable season and allowing me to coach. Enjoy the break and we will be back bigger and beer next season. Go Saints!

ThankDarcy you to everyone who has volunteered around the courts this year, your help is appreciated and does not go unnoced.

Last Thursday our seniors came out and took the juniors for the last training and this was a hit with the kids, so hopefully we can do this a lile more in 2023. Junior Colts: Our last game of the year at our home ground we wanted to provide a good contest and that's exactly what we did. The scoreboard didn't really reflect how close of a contest it was throughout the game. I couldn't be prouder of the effort our young Saints put in to finish the year off Selecng best players was probably the hardest to select all year as everyone in the team played well. Calais, Benne, Tayte, Josh, Deklan and Jordan E got the votes. Some thanks for the year from myself must go to Plugger and Tamara for your support, Ma Thomson for being Team Manager, Vesa for being runner and the loyal group of volunteers nearly every week pung their hand up in Marcus T, Jase E, Jase M, Lou and BJ to me keep and goal and boundary umpire. Everyone's support was greatly appreciated!

A Grade: Well not the finish we wanted but sll aer quarter me we played very well. The boys can be proud of themselves for the year they have had, we've improved in leaps and bounds and the future of Nangwarry looks bright! Thanks everyone for their support over the last two years, it's been a roller coaster but I've had plenty of good mes! Good luck to all teams in the finals! LT

Junior 2: Congratulaons to all of you girls on finishing off our season with a great game against Robe. We are so very proud that everything you have learnt showed on the court with some great passes down the court to our aack and rewarding ourselves with goals geng scored. There was great work in our defence making it hard for our opponents to score. We changed it up last quarter to pick your own posions and you all sll done a great job. We hope to see all you girls back on the court next season. Best players: Kenzie (Fasta Pasta), Harper (Bakers Delight).

13 & Under: How fast did the season go? Although we didn't manage to finish the season with a win, we had some great passages of play and the confidence improvement of James and CJ was an absolute pleasure to watch. I have loved coaching and enjoyed watching you all grow and develop skills. Great bunch of players and the support had from parents was fantasc and helps do a difficult job at mes. I will talk about each individual player at presentaon night. Baker's Delight award went to Darcy McNair for sing bench every week and playing when needed. Never went missing even in the pouring rain. Thank you for your commitment,

Our last home game saw us host our sponsor's day and we are very lucky to have a great backing in that department. Thanks to Cassie and Chappo for your hard work. To those sponsors thanks and we hope you enjoyed the day!

A Reserve: Not the way we wanted to finish the year out, but we have pushed so many teams this year including the top 4 teams, so be proud girls to have done so well. We started a bit slow and flat in the first quarter and struggled to get it into aack. Once we played our own game in the second we really stepped it up and came back into the game. We were much more controlled and used our vision beer, definitely would have been a different game if we started that way. Defence once again worked overme and aack really stepped in up and brought ball down well. Well that's it for another year girls. We had so many ups and downs this year with injuries, Covid and sickness we really didn't have a seled team to last month, but we all never gave up. If we do sck together and train we can work on those things that will get us over the line to finals. Thanks to Montana and Emily who sat bench all year for us plus all the others that filled in and sat bench. Thank you to both Demi's who came to play when we desperately needed some players. Thanks to the umpires, Cassie for scoring every week and anyone who helped out with ming, it's much appreciated. See you all next year bigger and beer. Best: Jemma and Shandeen.

B Grade: Well we started the year of with a win against Tant and nearly finished the year with a win against Robe going down by 2 points. I would have to say it was the best game we played all year. Thanks to everyone who helped out during the year, let's all have a fantasc break and come back next year ready have another crack? To the players who have rered thanks for your effort over the year, to the club thanks for giving me a chance to coach. Snake award goes to a kid who always puts his hand up in Pete Davis. Best: Sco, Blake, Hoody, Chappo, Hayden, Nathan. Goals: Hoody 2, Jordan 1, Stewy 1 ps his first for the club, Josh 1. Cheers. Go the Saints. Bring on 2023. Senior Colts: Playing the top undefeated side can be a daunng task in the last game of the season but to boys credit they handled themselves quite well. It turned out to be a fairly high standard game and although the result turned out as expected I hope this spurs the guys on for next year. I wish Ty and Hayden all the best for their senior football futures and hope that the rest of the boys are able to pester their mates to play next year. There are encouraging signs for the future and I hope you are all able to go harder for longer and take this team higher up the ladder. Who knows what the future holds for the 3 local leagues but I do hope all goes well for the future of this club.

15 & Under: What a fantasc game to finish the season on. You all played so well, showing all the things we've been praccing throughout the year You have all improved and grown as players so much over the season. Well done on a great year, look aer yourselves and hope to see you all back out on the court next season.

A Grade: We went into last week’s game wanng to have a bit of fun and that's exactly what we did. We switch everyone’s posions around and just went out and enjoyed playing with no pressure. It was nice to finish the season on a high note, as winning wasn't our priority it was to enjoy the last game of playing netball together as a team for the 2022 season. I want to thank you all for a great season and can only hope next year will be bigger and beer

Congratulaons to Sophie Jones who played her 50th game for us last Saturday. Well done to you Soph! All the very best to our B Reserve and B Grade in their finals today. We know you will both do our club proud. Well done to De, Jenni and the girls on their wonderful seasons! Good luck also to our Junior Colts and A Grade footy teams - we hope you both get over the line. Our 13's and 17's have finished minor premiers - well done to Montanna and Cody and Izzy on their coaching efforts so far. We hope everyone will get out and support our juniors next weekend at Mt Burr 17 & Under: Not the way we wanted to finish the minor rounds, but it's okay and as a team we need to work hard from here and prove to the others that all of you girls have earned that top spot on the ladder When we face those physical teams we need to be able to adjust and play just as physical. Well done to Mackenzie and Tamzyn for adjusng to an unexpected change that was made, you both stood up and took it like champs! Best players: Kate Winterfield, Mackenzie Millard. B Reserve: Good way to finish the minor round. Great team efforts to connue working through things. Briodie and JT received the awards. Thank you Victoria Hotel Shipwreck Bistro for your support throughout the season. At Robe this week... don't worry about what you can't control. Our focus and energy needs to be on our own atude, effort and posive talk for our teammates. Do what you can do! 13 & Under: It was a bit of a slow start, not having a proper warm up definitely shows all over the court in the first quarter, aer coming in aer the first break we put down a goal to reach and we got there in the end, there was a lot of things going on all over the court - good and bad, our passes into the ring were beauful and spot on. By the end of the second quarter everyone was doing their job and wanted to be posive to one another. There were a lot of turnovers from our defensive end that was brought down by beauful transions down the court for the goalies to be able to gain that lead. There is sll a lot we need to work on going into finals but finals are looking bright, great game by all girls - well fought. Best players went to Bailee Lewis (Baker’s Delight), Layla McPherson (Baker’s Delight).

Junior 2: Last game of the season, the girls should be very proud of how much they have grown throughout the season. You all played very well on your last game and I hope you all had a fun year. Everyone got an award to finish off our season, hope to see many of your faces out next year!

fooTbNETball all PORT MACDONNELL DEMONS CLUB NOTES

A Grade: The final home and away round has arrived, and with the sniff of spring in the air it can only mean one thing - finals, thankfully the finals berth has already been booked. Before the finals we had a very tough game against Glencoe, who have played some very good football especially in the back half of the season, the ideal warm up for finals acon. The game was a real good tough contest and gave the boys a good workout and was played with good intensity even with the slippery condions. The boys jumped out the blocks with a good start and was able to keep the pressure on the whole game, extending the lead though the game to result in a very nice win.

Awards: Georgia Seidel (Pick Ave Bakery and Deli), Deanne Spencer (Shipwreck Bistro Victorian Hotel Port MacDonnell), Brooklyn Jones (F45). A Reserve: Although we didn't secure a win for the final game, it was great to see us all geng back to enjoying some netball. A second half saw some big posional changes with most of you playing out of posion and experiencing different areas of the court. This brought some smiles and joy! Wishing Izzy and Katelin a speedy recovery with your injuries, not ideal to see the season out, but we hope you are both up and about soon. Thank you to my ever reliable juniors Kate and Arriella who joined our team, your commitment was outstanding and I hope you both enjoyed the opportunity to experience some senior netball. Loz and Cristan, a shout out to you ladies who covered the scoring role week in and week out, we appreciate you taking on this role. Pay, Kathryn thank you for doing the ming or back up scoring, I really appreciated your me. Lastly - to the team - Keyarnah (Captain), Cody, Isabella, Kristy, Isabelle, Montanna, Sarah and Katelin, as I've said most weeks, we had some challenges thrown our way and a lot of inconsistencies, but what shone through was your girls resilience to keep on going. Well done. Thank you all.

Best were Ned Wilke, Jake Schleter, William Macdonald, Tim Sullivan, Zack Williams, Liam Boomley

Best for the week were Jacob Simmonds, Grady Hutchesson, Joel NewtonAnderson, Tom Sullivan, Adam Richards, Tyreese Newton. Well done boys for the season, rest up in the off season, let’s come back in the preseason fresh and ready for 2023.

B Grade: We finally made it; the last round had arrived and to say it’s been a tough year has been an understatement. Even though numbers were low, and things got a lile dicey in a few stages, we managed to fill a side every week. A big thank you to everyone that played and filled in to make sure that a side was put on the park every week. The one win that we did have felt almost like a finals win considering the struggles we have had through the year. The one posive was that we were able to play many of the Senior Colts and the experience will certainly pay dividends in the future. The game started well, and you thought for the first few minutes that just maybe we could be on for a huge upset, unfortunately the script didn't go the way we wanted it to, and Glencoe was able to keep the pressure on the boys the whole me and were able to have a comfortable win.

B Grade: As a team we learn a lot last week. We have to have a strong focus and control what we can control. We can't let the things we can't control interrupt our focus. Our focus needs to be on the things we can control as a team. Maintaining possession, scoring our centre passes and doing our jobs. When everyone is doing their job and maintaining concentraon the desired results will come. We need to adjust quickly and focus on our game plan and our processes. Direcon support and communicaon is also important to keep each other accountable. Parts of our game were well executed and were impressive to see. Our ball movement, ming and paence evident. Let's work hard towards maintaining our concentraon for four quarters. Down court transions out of defence were helped by Georgia's drive and backing up. Elivia, Rachel and Brooklyn worked well in defence together. Jess worked relessly in aack and shot beaufully. Looking forward to our finals adventure together. I am privileged to be able to share this experience with you. Congratulaons girls, it's been an absolute pleasure!

footbnetball all Junior Colts: For our final game of the year we took the highway down to Nangwarry to try and finish off our season on a posive note and come away with the win. Our Thursday night preparaon was fairly solid and we had high expectaons rolling up to the ground. In the opening quarter we kicked with a fairly solid wind and we managed to kick three goals to nothing to start the game. Nangwarry probably had more of the ball than us but we were able to capitalise when we went forward. The second and third quarters were a real scrap with neither sides able to get the ascendency.

B Reserve: Robe 40 Nangwarry 7. Whilst the coach was playing in Bali last week, club legend Al Nunan stepped into coach and play for the B Rezzies as did talented defender Amanda 'Pom' Culley. Half me scores were 23 to 3 Robe's way, so the champagne was looking the goods to get swilled post match. Rhi shot a personal best of 11 goals and sailed into an all-nighter, which she was regreng at 7am. The game finished with all team members present having a good crack, Al jagging the Calcua (Loaves & Fishes). A returned-from-injury captain Robbie the incenve (Pure Luxe), and an overseas phone call bragging to the coach of the big win. A nice way to end the season with a great mob of chicks.

13 & Under: Robe 51 Nangwarry 31. What a way to finish the season! We were so proud with all of the girls efforts against Nangwarry. We asked them to play their lile hearts out so we could finish on a high! It was evident from the game that the girls have improved throughout the season. Aer our first contest with Nangwarry where we went down by 7 - the girls had a lile fire in their belly and started believing that they could do it! This was the best team and individual game that a lot of the girls had played all season! The girls should be proud of how much they have improved over the season!

15 & Under: Robe 42 Nangwarry 34. What a game. To have every single one of you step up and play some great netball was just such a proud moment. You all have the drive and determinaon needed to get to finals and it's paid off. All of you should be so proud of your efforts, your teamwork and general posive encouragement to each other. Each and every one of you contributed towards the win, whether for 1 quarter or 4. Best player (Me & Miss Jones) went to Georgie Wirth for her drive and stepping up in the final quarter to get us over the line. Incenve (Union Café) went to Ella Bermingham for her fabulous feeding into the ring.

Junior 2: Last game for the season and what a game it was. The weather was chilly but a lovely day for netball. We decided to chuck bibs in and play whatever was picked out, this started the girls on a high as they had no expectaons and it showed. They went out strong and had some great passages of play to score those much wanted goals. We changed posions up each quarter and the girls loved the excitement of this and helped keep the momentum going for the enre game. Incenve went to Edie Bates for another brilliant game, she'll definitely be one to watch in the future. What a season! We saw so much improvement from each of them and I can't wait to see what these superstars bring next year Junior 1: Well the day came, our final game of the year, and of course the girls pull out one of the best games they've played. The girls and I agreed to have fun with the last half of the game and threw the bibs in the air as a posion's decider. Much to not only my, but their surprise, they enjoyed themselves in some new posions! My incenve went to Poppy for her outstanding efforts in defence, the best game she has played, and the smile showed it all! It was a biersweet ending for me, as I say goodbye to Robe. Coaching this year was the best decision I've made with netball, the improvement I got to watch with not only their skills, but their social life too is something I will cherish forever! I had a group of best friends who challenged themselves, slowly got beer in their listening skills and became the best lile gang I've seen! Thank you my lile gremlins, it was a fantasc ending, sugar filled with lots of smiles.

A Reserve: Robe 66 Nangwarry 45. Great game to finish off the year on a high. We played a very consistent game, scoring nearly the same each quarter. Some accurate shoong from Demi and Ella, Ella proving she is an absolute asset to our team. Defensive pressure was great from everyone, and I cannot wait to see what we can do in finals. Calcua (Steve's Place) went to Skimmer & Incenve (Holiday) to Demi.

Incenve (Union Café) went to Olivia who worked relessly all game and really stepped up and took leadership in the defence end. Best player (Robe Seafood & Takeaway) went to Milla for her accurate shot and perfect holds in the goal ring.

robe roosters CLUB NOTES

Senior Colts: The last game of the minor round saw us take on Nangwarry away. Nangwarry were struggling for numbers, so we played 17 a side, with 3 of our players going over every quarter to make a good contest of it. With some good footy being played, Robe took home the win comfortably, not without shadowing the fact and to their credit that Nangwarry outscored us in the last. We are really looking forward to taking on Hatherleigh in a couple weeks in the 2nd Semi Final, which should be a cracking contest. Best players were Mason McKenny, Hudson Peel, Kaiden Carter, Ollie Hagge and Flynn Peel. Steve’s Place player incenve went to Ollie Hagge and the Robe Football Club player incenve to Seb Moore. A Grade: For our last game of the year, we travelled down to Nangwarry with hopes of a big win. We have had a big focus on finishing the year strong, regardless of our spot on the ladder. Last me we met, Nangwarry challenged and were compeve only losing to us by 34 points. As the end of winter nears, the football gods brought with them some fine weather for the away game at Nangwarry. Both teams came out firing in the fine condions. The Robe boys really put the foot on the gas and kicked 8 goals for the quarter and it was clear the forwards, jumping Joel Bryant and Jack Sneath, were going to have a field day. Jack finished with 7 goals for the day and Joel 6. We were well and truly in control at quarter me. The second quarter brought some challenges with 2 of our key players (Tom Williams and Jasper Barri) sustaining injuries and were sidelined for the remainder of the game. Nangwarry started to get the ball out of the centre and into their big full forward, Andrew Hyland who was dangerous. Nangwarry ruckman Jack Pudney started to get his hands on the ball around the ground. We went into the half me break with a 37-point lead. In the last half we wrestled back control of the game. Kane Dunn was a running machine out on the wing and won many 2v1 contests. Kaden Woodward was also dangerous in the middle racking up disposals. We came away with a 57-point victory to finish off our season. Although we narrowly missed out on finals this year, I'm proud of the team's efforts. Thanks to the Senior Colts and Reserves players for their support in the last few games of the year. We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to the Rooster fans for all the support throughout the year and cheering us on. We have plenty to look forward to at the Robe Football Club with the first semi final being hosted at home. Good luck to the Reserves boys and A Grade and U15's netball who play in this week's eliminaon final!

A Grade: Robe 84 Nangwarry 35. What a great game to finish the minor round on! Such a great team game, everyone lied, played with confidence and supported each of their teammates around them. It was great to see 4 consistent quarters while playing our own controlled game. Thanks to Demi for slong straight in and filling in for us. Bring on finals! Calcua (The original Skin Clinic) went to Sarah and incenve (The Eighth Leer) to Halle.

Key players for Nangwarry stood up while a few of our younger players stood up and matched it with them. We took a couple of goal lead into three quarter me. I asked for a big li in the last and that is what I got, boong three goals to 1 in the last to win by 30 odd points. I would like to thank all the boys and the parents for the year this year it has been thoroughly enjoyable except for the early mornings.

B Grade: Robe 33 Nangwarry 38. We came out fighng! We were desperate to get a win under our belts to finish the season on a high. Everyone was on and had the right energy and we started strong geng 5 goals up at quarter me. We decided to keep posions the same to connue the intensity, we held our lead going into half me. We made a couple of changes at half me to give everyone a lile break unfortunately that was our downfall. We just couldn't get our momentum in the third quarter Everyone worked relessly for that ball we just couldn't get over the line in the end. Calcua (Union Café) went to Emma Brooks. Incenve (Pure Luxe) went to Mahalia Bathurst-Warren. We didn't get a win this season but the girls performances week in week out certainly would have said otherwise. Beer luck next year!

17 & Under: Robe 84 Nangwarry 30. Great team game to finish the minor round, we stuck to our goals for the game and had lots of posive talk. We mixed a few posions up around the court and everyone adjusted well. Best player (Loaves & Fishes) went to Maisie Hayes, working hard through the mid court and feeding well into our shooters. Incenve (Pure Luxe) went to Lexy Hayes, providing great pressure in the defensive end of the court, playing all three defensive posions throughout the game. Congratulaons to our girls for finishing second in the minor rounds, now me to take on finals, let's go Roosters!

13 & Under: And that's a wrap to our 2022 season! A great last game girls, you really worked together as a team. I'm proud of the effort you have all put in across the season, both at training and each week on court. You have all progressed so much and should be proud of each of your efforts. Awards went to Leilani Bentley (Shanks Engineering) and Tamika Long (Hungry Jacks).

17 & Under: An incredible team game girlies. Probably our best game of the season and at the best possible me. Finals baby! 3 games le. Let's get around each other, train hard and play harder Jami and I believe in each and every one of you and we cannot wait to finish this season strong with you all. Bring it on girls. The Tiger Army is behind you so let's do this!

B Grade: It wasn't the result we were hoping for in our last game for the season but everyone tried their best and we all had fun. With both Laylah and Alice missing from our mid court Leah took on the C bib and did a wonderful job! Gemmah and Kim were as reliable as ever and Gemmah played a great cameo in GS in the last quarter. Jodie and Ffion played well on the wings and Kirsty provided nice drive into the circle. Bek finished well in goals. No best players, everyone did their jobs. Thanks for a great season girls, you've been a pleasure to coach! Thanks to the B Res for scoring, ming and training with us all season. A Grade: Another draw from the girls! What a tough hard game it was unl the final whistle. Very proud of everyone's efforts to keep their minds on the task. It was a massive team effort and it is a credit to you all. Keep working hard, every bit of hard work will pay off. A big week ahead for us at training, let's do this. Last week’s awards went to Kate Bromley and Michelle Robinson.

Junior 1: What a great end to an awesome season against Mt Burr! The girls used all the skills they have gained throughout the season. The flow down the court has come such a long way, as you are all using lanes and trying so hard to find space. The girls have gained so much confidence and fight for the ball, geng loads of intercepts and chasing loose balls. They are always willing to learn and beer themselves, keep pung in 100% girls. I am so proud of you all! Good luck for your future netball years girls, can't wait to see you play next season! Summah and Chiara were given the awards last week.

15 & Under: Aer a solid first half we decided to have a bit of fun changing up some posions for those who don't move each week. Kaitlyn got to go in her favourite WA aer playing GD all year, Isla had a crack at C and I think she realised how much they run and was happy for it to just be 1 quarter. Lailah swapped ends for a go at GS posioning herself well and shoong a goal. Our aackers Kailah and Demi were a bit on the shorter side but had a good go at GK and GD. As for Grace and Bethan they had already played all over court during the year filling posions when people have been away. Lani kept her WD posion which she has improved so much already in the short few weeks she has been with us. I hope you have all had a fun year and I look forward to seeing you all back in 2023.

Best of luck to all of our players invited to League Presentaons Prtomorrowesentaons are nearly upon Juniorus: Presentaon – Sunday 11th September (aer Prelim Final) Senior Presentaon – Friday 23rd September. Please see our Facebook page for further informaon. Senior Colts: Well that's another footy season done for us, and what a tough year it's been. All the boys have given their absolute best all year with most of them playing two games each week, whether it's been up to the senior grades or up from the junior grade. I'm absolutely proud as punch with the amount of growth you have all experienced and the way you have all conducted yourselves. Against the Burr for our final game together and we came off second best, playing the two games each week takes it toll. The club will do its absolute best so you won't have to do that again next season. Beer players were Ellis Cushion, Cade Kelly, Jack Cytrowski, Braydn Hateley and Ryan Simmons. Thanks for the season boys, I have really enjoyed it.

B Reserve: What a great game to finish off the year, although we couldn't quite get the win, it was sll a fantasc game by all of you. Was great to see you all working your bus off, playing your hardest and working so well as a team all the while with such big smiles on your faces. We were unlucky with a few injuries, but lucky we now have the off season to recover. A big congratulaons goes to Danni White who played her 150th senior game for the Tigers. With a calf injury early in the season we weren't sure if she would get there, you have been such an asset to the team Danni and to be able to play your 150th with your daughter, I'm sure made it even more special. Best players go to Danni, who played amazing and was such a leader in aack, direcng the play with her netball knowledge. Also Emily Jennings who dominated in goals. Great work girls and here's to a really fun season. Enjoy the break and can't wait to give it a good crack next year. Good luck to the Tant teams in finals and Go Tiges!

Junior 2: What a fantasc year of Junior netball. I have had the pleasure of teaching a great group of 9 lile girls the fundamentals. Nevaeh, Polly, Daisy, Lidia, Shelbi, Lilly, Georgina, Myla and Lexi you all should be very proud of yourselves, because I certainly am. You are the best listeners, supporve teammates, all so resilient and most of all you go out there every week, have fun and give 110%. Keep enjoying your netball lile Tiges and you will just keep geng beer and beer!

fooTbNETball all Best of luck to our 2 netball teams playing today – A Grade and 17 & Under, some great talent will be on display and both games are expected to be close. Hopefully we are ahead at the final whistle! The Tantanoola Football and Netball Club would like to thank all of our valued volunteers for all of their help throughout this season. A lot of people go above and beyond each week with their help but we appreciate everyone who helps out on canteen, umpiring, running boundary and all those jobs that if not filled makes it difficult on a Saturday (and Thursday nights!).
