Glencoe’s Ella Stewart and Hallie Sealey will move well in the circle, shoo ng with accuracy, however they will be put under pressure by Eagles Tilly Prouse and Luca Hamilton. This game has the poten al to go either way with both teams figh ng for the chance to play in the big dance.

Hatherleigh’s Hannah Bellinger and Poppy Fitzgerald use their height to their advantage in the defensive circle for the Eagles, applying intense pressure to Chloe Day and Bailee Lewis. Amber Chester and Leni Carruthers will feed their goalies, Kalli Ne le and Chloe Bellinger, with accuracy from outside the circle, however they will be put under pressure by Demons Jasmine Morgan and Isla Fulham. Both teams will need to give it their all to come away with the win, and the honours will go to whoever fights the hardest on the day
17&Under
Port Mac ba led hard in the second semi in trying condi ons going down in a close tussle with Mount Burr. They come up against a talented Tigers side who are hungry for a grand final spot. Both teams have strong goal circles with Bella Poulish being a focal point and she is supported well by Ebony Cytrowski. Lara Wilson and Lilly Day shot accurately in the 2nd semi and will need to bring this form into the Prelim as Molly Cushion has had a great season at Goal Defence
for the Tigers and will snap up any rebounds afforded to her under the post. Sophie Lewis works hard in the mid court for the Bay and helps her side transi on from defence to a ack, her influence in this area will be needed if the Bay are to gain the win.
B Reserve
The Magpies and the Mozzies face off in the B Reserve Preliminary Final. Kalangadoo’s Jodi Greenwood and Maddi Wilkinson work well together in the goal circle, however they will have to work hard to gain possession under the pressure of Dawn Smith and Rebecca Fox. Any turnovers for Mount Burr will be fed back down the court by Hannah Fraser and Emily Haines. Down the other end of the court Magpies Gemma Box and Brianna Devine will work over me to shut down the influence of Sophie Jankowski and Ava Smith-Muhovics in the goal circle for the Mozzies. Kalangadoo’s Rebecca White and Ange Case will fight hard to get circle edge, feeding into their strong goalies under pressure. Kalangadoo won both mes these teams have faced each other throughout the season and will come away with another win this weekend to play off against Hatherleigh in the Grand Final.
B Grade
Robe and Glencoe have had a win each this season and will play off a final me for the chance to face Kalangadoo in the Grand Final. Robe’s Maddi Wirth and Amanda Culley will create turnovers for the Roosters and send the ball back down the court through Keelin Winterfield and Jade Regnier. Glencoe’s Kayla McInnes and Kate Sealey will need to work hard to shut down the Robe’s shoo ng line up. Runner Up Best & Fairest Ella Mackey is a focal point in the circle for the Roosters, supported by Amy Wetherall, sho ng well from a range within the circle. Amy Clegge and Hayley Dunsford will fight to keep their players from the circle edge, forcing errors and turnovers where possible for the Murphies. Both teams have the poten al to win, and this may be a close game, with either team heading to the Grand Final.
A Reserve
Kalangadoo and Port MacDonnell fight it out to play off against Robe next weekend in the Grand Final. Best & Fairest Cody Manning has proven to be an accurate goalie for the Demons and combines well with Kirby Carrison. Narelle Lewis will use her knowledge and experience to guide her team from the
circle edge, feeding her goalies with precision. Kalangadoo’s Georgia Gen le and Reanna Wetherall will need to apply intense pressure in the goal circle, crea ng turnovers wherever possible and sending the ball back down the court. Down the other end of the court Port MacDonnell’s Nicola Collins and Isabelle Sneath will get their hands over the ball, snapping up any rebounds that come their way, forcing Kalangadoo goalies to earn every possession. Gina Gogel and Sophie Wrightson shoot with accuracy in the circle for the Pies, supported from outside by Lucy Williams. Both teams have been evenly matched throughout the season and this game will see all players ba le hard to earn their spot in the Grand Final.
A Grade
The A Grade Preliminary Final is set up to be a cracker of a match when Glencoe take on Tantanoola at Robe on Saturday in what is forecasted to be great condi ons for netball. Tantanoola have had a week’s rest a er a hard fought one goal win against Robe in the 1st semi and Glencoe while coming off a loss in the second semi would be happy with their last half against Kalangadoo in the second semi. There are great matchups all over the court with Tantanoola expec ng the return of Keryl Ousey they have plenty of op ons in the shoo ng circle with any of the combina ons including Jami Walker & Emma Gould. With the height of Ousey & Gould causing headaches for Glencoe defenders Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen. They will need to work hard to minimise the impact of the height of Gould and Ousey in the circle. Jami Walker may take the GA posi on if this is the case her speed and accuracy will cause causes headaches for defenders. Chloe Pfitzner will need to work hard at Wing Defence no ma er which of the Walker sisters she lines up as they are both speedy and crea ve in the wing for Tantanoola. Casey Walker lined up on the a acking wing in the first semi and had a great effect on the game, though this may change in the prelim as she could very well line up on the defensive wing, if this is the case, she will work hard to limit opportuni es to Alice Tentye. Kate Varcoe is consistent in the centre for the Tigers and the tussle between her and Donna Jaeschke will be one to watch. Jenna Paproth and Chantelle Cocks combine well in the circle for the Murphies and might just have the edge on Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe. Glencoe should win and earn the opportunity to defend their tle.

Kalangadoo 36 def Glencoe 24
A highly skilled game for such a young group of girls. Both sides worked hard for every possession despite the wet weather condi ons. There were lots of scoring opportuni es created with strong defence applied by Glencoe’s Isabella Brierley and Gracie Cary. At the other end, Kalangadoo’s Molly Peacock read the play well and got lots of intercepts. Glencoe Goal Shooter Ella Stewart shot at 100% in the second quarter to keep her side in the game. Layla Hawke and Annabelle Gordon fed their goalies well and also applied lots of pressure down the court.
Ma lda Peacock combined well with Emmity McElroy in the circle to give Kalangadoo lots of opportuni es and maintain their lead and was well supported by Zara Cole and Ava ProsperiPorta. Kalangadoo were able to maintain their lead in the last quarter to make the final score line 12 goals in Kalangadoo’s favour.
Best players - Kalangadoo: Molly Peacock, Emmity McElroy; Glencoe: Layla Hawke, Annabelle Gordon.

Kalangadoo got off to a strong start and never looked back. Despite the score line there were some close ba les over the court. Kalangadoo created many turnovers giving them more opportunity to score in less than ideal shoo ng condi ons. Shayden Russell was dominant in the circle for the Pies shoo ng 46 of her team's goals, she was supported well by Lucy Egan at GS. Hatherleigh created turnovers but struggled to capitalise, with strong defensive work by Maya Anderson in defence for the Pies. Hannah Bellinger worked relessly in the centre for the Eagles. Chloe Bellinger on the Eagle's a acking wing was feeding the ball in well to her goalies. Hatherleigh showed plenty of posi ve signs which they will take into next week's final against Port MacDonnell.
Best players Kalangadoo: Lucy Egan, Maya Anderson; Hatherleigh: Hannah Bellinger, Chloe Bellinger

In wet condi ons both teams Goalies needed to hold strong to gain possession of the ball. A close game that saw the lead change on numerous occasions. Port Mac’s Lara Wilson and Lilly Day shot with accuracy, being fed in close to the ring. Mount Burr’s Goalies had to work hard for possession in the circle and used their circle feeders to have good scoring opportuni es. Mount Burr’s mid court made transi on hard into the Port Mac a ack line. Ella Easterby drove hard through the centre ensuring the Port Mac defenders were kept busy. Wing A acks for both teams drove hard to the circle, to allow a close feed to goalies. Brydie McPherson worked hard in the defensive end for the Bay
In the last quarter both teams started to make more passing errors due to defensive pressure and not adjus ng to the weather. Ashlee Dean stood tall for the Mozzies in the last. In a closely contested game that came down to the last few minutes Mount Burr pulled away and came away with the win.

Very wet condi ons had both teams star ng a bit slower than usual. Despite the wet condi ons though, very accurate shoo ng from by Hatherleigh’s Goal Shooter, Eliza Burton, and Kalangadoo Goal A ack, Jodi Greenwood, kept the scoreboard cking over. At the first quarter break Hatherleigh had a slight lead.
The start of the second saw the ball move up and down the court as both sides made errors resul ng in turnovers. Rebecca White for Kalangadoo con nued to dominate and provide great drive and direc on through the mid court. At the half me break Kalangadoo were up by 2.
Sally Bateman for Hatherleigh was pu ng her body on the line and ge ng mely intercepts to give the Hatherleigh goalies every opportunity to score. Hatherleigh’s Burton Melita Thwaites were made to work for it though with ght defensive pressure from Gemma Box and Brianna Devine.
The final quarter saw Hatherleigh start to extend a lead through strong play from Bateman and great accuracy in the circle. Kalangadoo never gave up and kept figh ng to the end. Whilst the lead had blown out to 6 at one stage it quickly disappeared and if not for the final whistle the result may have gone the other way. Hatherleigh winning by 2 in the end.
Best players - Hatherleigh: Sally Bateman, Melita Thwaites, Eliza Burton; Kalangadoo: Brianna Devine, Jodi Greenwood.

Kalangadoo 50 def Robe 29
Kalangadoo started strongly, with accurate shoo ng by Isobel Giddings. With consistent pressure and ght saw the first quarter go in favour of the Pies with them holding a 7-goal lead at quarter me. Kalangadoo kept momentum going into the second capitalising on intercepts from Goal Defence, Demi Ingley, and Giddings con nuing to shoot accurately Emily Mulraney supported Ingley in the circle ensuring the Robe goalers earnt every shot. The third quarter was more even with Robe making changes and playing with higher intensity. In the fourth neither team could gain the upper hand, but Kalangadoo had done the work in the first half to cement their spot in the Grand Final.
Best players - Kalangadoo: Demi Ingley, Emily Mulraney; Robe: Madeline Wirth, Keelin Winterfield.
Robe 45 def Kalangadoo 28
Robe came out firing against Kalangadoo in the first half and made Kalangadoo accountable for every possession. Sarah Laurie and Ash Hunt had a few early ji ers but found their rhythm and made the Kalangadoo defenders work hard in slippery condi ons. Gina Gogel and Sophie Wrightson were strong in the circle for Kalangadoo and waited for the pa ence of the mid court to free up the players. Robe came away with a 7-goal lead at quarter me and made Kalangadoo pay for a slow start.
At the start of second quarter Kalangadoo come out firing, making Robe earn every possession from the first minute. Shanae Neale and Jamie Ryan worked hard to deny Stacey Woodward
and Kim Ross from their easy feeding posi ons. Georgia Duncan con nued to work hard offensively to be an op on up the middle of the court. Kimberly Aus n rebounded strongly and monopolised possession a er missed shots. The quarter ended with the same margin of Robe leading by 7.
The third quarter Robe put pressure on the transi on and centre passes, Emilie Gould working hard to turn over the ball to gain possession and make more scoring opportuni es for Robe. Kalangadoo mid courters maintained the pressure in the middle, Georgia Gen le pu ng hand pressure over the ball and making the opposi on work hard for it. In the end, Robe maintained a strong lead of 9 goals.
The last quarter the Roosters came out firing, wan ng the ball and worked as a team to put the defensive pressure on every ball. Kalangadoo and Robe were a great match up; however, Robe came away with the win by 17. Best players - Robe: Sarah Laurie, Kimberley Aus n; Kalangadoo: Gina Gogel, Jamie Ryan.

Kalangadoo 51 def Glencoe 34
Kalangadoo won the toss and started with the ball, scoring the first goal through Ebony McDiarmid. Glencoe’s overuse of the ball in their a ack line allowed Kalangadoo to turn the ball over and push out to an early 3 goal lead. Glencoe se led and scored through Chantelle Cocks, a er this the game went goal for goal. Slippery condi ons caused errors by both sides and didn’t allow for a high standard of netball. McDiarmid was a focal point in the Pies circle shoo ng 12 from 12 for the quarter and ensuring her side had a healthy 9 goal lead at the break.
Glencoe broke Kalangadoo’s first centre pass and pegged the lead back by 2. Scrappy play by both sides meant neither side could gain the upper hand. Kalangadoo se led with excellent pressure along their defensive line and great feeding by Jayde Peacock, giving their goalies opportuni es to convert and neither let their side down increasing their lead to 15 at the main break.
The third quarter saw youngster Chloe Peacock step up her intensity adding extra pressure to the Murphies defensive end. Glencoe weren't to be denied and through the strong defensive work of Sarah Edwards and Chelsea Owen, Cocks and Jenna Paproth were given more opportuni es to convert. Great work by Glencoe saw them peg the Pies lead back to 12.
Cocks and Paproth con nued to work well in their a acking end, despite the pressure applied by Lauren Kain and Lara Munro. At the other end of the court Chelsea Owen worked hard to curb the influence of McDiarmid on the game, however her accuracy under the post meant there was few opportuni es. With 5 minutes to go Donna Jaeschke had to leave the court with the blood rule and this gave talented Glencoe youngster Zoe Mulraney an opportunity to take the court in an A Grade final. Accurate shoo ng by McDiarmid missing 2 for the game was the difference in the end. Glencoe would take a lot from this game and know that they can take it up to the Pies.
Best players - Kalangadoo: Jayde Peacock, Lauren Kain; Glencoe: Donna Jaeschke, Chelsea Owen.

B Grade: Well what can I say... a disappoin ng day down at Tant, going down by 15 points to Kalangadoo. Hats off to them, they were too good on the day. I thought we kept ourselves in the game from the start, matching the intensity of finals footy. We wasted a few opportuni es going into our forward line and probably cost us at the end of the day. The wet weather and windy condi ons at Tant probably didn't suit our game plan and couldn't adapt to them quickly enough. We are fortunate to

B Reserve: Hatherleigh (55) def Kalangadoo (53). The tunes during the warmup had the girls pumped up and smiling despite the horrendous weather condi ons. Saturated before the whistle signalled the start of the game, we knew we would be pushed to play our best and would need to adapt to the weather condi ons. One of our slower starts, and a bit flat footed but with amazing accuracy from our 'li le freak' in Eliza we were up by 2 at the first break. Sally came on at C and made an immediate impact, applying pressure and great vision feeding into the a ack line. Eliza and Melita moved well to put themselves in the best posi on and Amy was quick to switch to defence when needed to stop the drive coming out of the Kalangadoo defence. Nic, Sarah and Fi had their work out for them in the circle with a tall Kalangadoo a ack, but never dropped their heads and kept giving their all. Kaz quickly se led into the game a er the main break, leaving everything on the court providing an op on out of defence and as always reading the play well to be a great back-up. Nat got her
have played well enough through the season to give ourselves a second chance of ge ng into the big dance, coming up against Robe at Robe will be no easy task for the boys. But I'm sure that loss has fired the hunger up and they will be keen to turn things around next week. Best players were Josh "Taps" Wight, Bre Watson, Norman Watson, James Gilbertson and young S x Leopold all doing great jobs. Hope to see a big turn out down at Robe to cheer the boys on.

hands to plenty and had great pa ence feeding into the circle. Melita played a strong physical game, combining well with Eliza to keep the scoreboard cking over. Sal literally put her body on the line and never stopped running. A few changes made throughout the game but to the girl's credit, we didn't let it disrupt the flow – although the final few minutes were a bit hairy! Well done Maddi for not le ng it ra le you! A stellar effort from Sal saw her come away with first best, whilst Melita and Eliza with their superstar shoo ng efforts rounded out the top three. Huge congrats one and all for an absolute team effort to see us go straight through to the big dance in a couple of weeks' me at Port Mac. It's always extra amazing to have people volunteer for us in terrible weather condi ons. Hugh thanks to Niah for si ng bench whilst soaking wet and Grace for her con nuous commitment to the team despite being injured! Thank you so much Billie for primary carer and Raels for scoring. Great to have a crowd suppor ng the girls too. Bring on the Grand Final! Whoop, whoop.
17 & Under: What a wet day for netball. It was impressive the way both teams played and adapted to the condi ons. It took us a li le longer to se le and work out how to play in the wet. Not something that we have had to do this year. We had some great defensive work through the centre third, forcing turnovers and backing each other up with loose balls. A er having 3 weeks without a game, we are grateful for Laura, Lauren, Zoe, Maddie G, Madi H and Olivia D who
came to training to help with game play. Now that we have played a game, there are a few things to work on like defensive posi oning, leading front, posi oning in the goal circle and changing direc ons on leads. Congratula ons on winning a spot in the Grand Final. It was great to see you change your mindset and play to come from behind at half me to get a win. Let's work hard for the last 2 weeks to give ourselves the best chance of playing well in the Grand Final. Thanks Jodie for scoring so that our families could watch.

Senior Colts: The boys rocked up to Tant for a shot at playing in a home Grand Final. For some of these boys it is their first taste of finals. The weather was cold, wet and windy but our boys came with the right a tude. The first quarter was an arm wrestle, but we managed to take a 2 goal lead into the first quarter. The 2nd term seen Tant kick with the wind and kick their first for the game but our boys managed to kick an important one into it to help our cause. The 3rd quarter really set up the game for our boys as we kick 3 goals to 0 to take a 5 goal lead into the last quarter. 2 goals a piece in the last quarter seen our lads take home a 5 goal win and book a spot in a home Grand Final. There was a late scare as Brodie Anderson went down with what turned out to be cramp, but assistant Coach Ned from the distance had diagnosed it as something much worse! Thankfully Ned was wrong and Brodie is good to go! In a great team effort best players were Jacob Spehr who was a rock at full back, Pa y Robinson con nues to show his talent, Casey Wilson was massive in the ruck and showed clean hands all day, Riley Morgan played another great captain's game, Luke Richards was everywhere and did some good things at Centre Half Back and Kur s Lasle stood up and showed what he is capable, kicking some important goals at important stages. Men ons to Bradley Neale and Zaylen Smith who were brilliant all day. Everyone played their role which was good to see. Now we move forward to the big dance at home! The boys will know their best is good enough if they can bring it on the day. Win, lose or draw this group of young men has done themselves and the club proud over the last 12 months. Thank you everyone for the season and good luck to everyone playing in Grand Finals.

17 & Under: Mount Burr 49 defeated Port MacDonnell 44. Our 17U girls played in the second semi final this week against a well oiled Mount Burr side. The girls started strong, figh ng hard for every possession and working hard to value every opportunity our defence were able to send back our way. We finished the first quarter down one, despite a seesawing scoreboard all quarter. Defensive pressure from all seven girls on the court helped us in finishing two goals ahead at the half me break, made possible by the fantas c drive from Sophie Lewis through the middle. Lara Wilson had fought sickness all week but managed to pull through to finish her goals well in torren al condi ons. The third quarter saw another shi in the lead, Mount Burr this me making
A Grade: Port MacDonnell 8.9 lost to Kalangadoo 11.14. Well… its not the first me that we have taken the hard way to a Grand Final! With scuds of rain and the wind blowing directly down the field to the SE goal it was always going to be a challenge but doable. It was unfortunate that our Junior Colts have taken the same tack, with only our rising stars the Senior Colts managing the direct route to the Grand Final. In what became a very defensive game it's not surprising that majority of our awards go to the back men who kept pushing the ball forward at every opportunity, keeping us in the game. Working hard all day, Wade Chant picked up the BOG with Ethan Gladman placing 2nd. Their drive through the flanks off the CHB line was crucial to keeping us within touch. Ben O'Dine at 3rd put his body on the line me and me again not le ng the Kdoo forwards gain ground. Will Macdonald shouldered the bulk of the rucking du es delivering the ball with accuracy despite heavy opposi on while Colby Munro ran amok in the forward lines crea ng play and snagging a goal in the process. Ned Wilke rounds out the BP list with his consistent noholds-barred effort on the ball and direc ng the play through the midfield. The forwards were always under pressure from the Kdoo backline, with Alex Ridding being our only mul ple goal scorer with 3 while Jack Cawthorne, Colby Munro, Kevin Thomson, Josh Woodall and Tim Sullivan all managed one apiece. While the outcome was not ideal the work rate was solid, but improvements can con nue to be made both in our team and our teamwork. Now all roads will lead to Robe and thankfully another opportunity to even the score against Hatherleigh and play the big game at home. So, train hard to play hard Demons…game on!

a run late in the third quarter to finish ahead again. Tight pressure in the circle from Bridie McPherson helped us bite back at the margin in the last quarter to really give us a figh ng chance as the clock wound down. In the end, the Port MacDonnell girls lost by five goals, a valiant effort by all. Our best player this week was Lilly Day, a cool and calm head in our team's first finals exposure saw her moving brilliantly and finishing with accuracy all game. Next week the girls will face off against Tantanoola in a preliminary final for the chance to redeem themselves against the tough Mount Burr side. Be sure to come out and support not only the 17Us but also the 15Us and the A Reserves as they all try to earn their spot in the big dance!
Thank you to all our volunteers for all their work last Saturday at the 2nd semi final. Not a great day weatherwise but it was a successful one for the club, this wouldn't have been possible without all the help. Best of luck to our 3 teams playing in today's prelim – Senior Colts, 17 and Under and A Grade netball, we look forward to seeing a crowd of red down there cheering on our teams. A successful day for our Tigers at Mid South East Football and Netball Presenta on Day last Sunday. A stellar season from Cade Kelly in both senior and juniors saw him take home a car load of awards winning Senior Colts Best and Fairest, Leading Goalkicker and Player of the Year and then at the senior presenta ons he won 'Farmer' Phil Scanlon Rookie of the Year for the A Grade. Brandon Pi s had a solid season down back and was awarded Best Backman as well as Back Pocket in Team of the Year. Ha brothers Troy and Jordan finished in the Top 10 for Most Valuable Player. Well done to Emma Gould who was named in Team of the Year. We also had mul ple players who finished in the top 5 in their grades.
17 & Under: What a win by the girls! You all came out firing and all did your jobs. Our a acking onto the ball all over the court was the best yet, we hit our targets and delivered the ball well into Bella and Ebony. Ebony was our work horse in a ack, keeping her player busy and created a lot of plays which allowed Bella to work hard on her one on one. Demi and Charli combined well on the ring and also got some defensive ps. In defence, Molly and Holly worked relessly in defence and got so many ps. Kailah provided some excellent ps and drives

Senior Colts: Last weekend seen us play Pt Mac at home for a spot in the grand final, with the weather coming in hard it was pivotal for us to start well and put the pressure on early Unfortunately for our boys Port Mac played to the condi ons well and made us look extremely ordinary at mes. To the guys credit they played a really good last quarter and didn't let the score blow out. We have another tough ask going down to Robe to play for a grand final spot, let's keep ge ng around the boys and cheer them on. Go Tigers!
