A Grade: Last week we took on Nangwarry and a er a loss the week before we were really returned to play a good solid 4 quarter game. We started off with a really good first quarter kicking 10 goals. Throughout the day we used the ball well and got back to our team first mentality and style of game and ran out with a really good 4 quarter win. Brad Mitchell was massive up forward using his body well and ending with 8 majors while Lewy Walker and Jack Skeer were prolific on the wings being involved in most forward entries. Joe Rayson, Mark Marrio and Zach Jones rounded out the best players. This weekend we come up against our Robe rivals on our home deck in what promises to be a big game. Go Eagles! B Grade: Last week we travelled over to Nangas to take on a much improved Nangwarry ou it. They brought plenty of pressure all day and the scoreboard didn't show how well they played. We started off flat and a bit slow ge ng beaten around the contest in the middle of the ground. A er a few changes we sorted things out and started playing our running brand of football and open the game up to run out 132 point winners in the end. Todd Watson con nued his form at CHB and took out best on ground. Jase Bateman gave us plenty of drive around the ground and is star ng to enjoy his football also kicking a couple of snag rolls to take out second best. Third best went to Leery who played a different role on the half back flank. Fourth best went to our skipper in Muff who also bagged 5. Big Regionalist bagged 5 and gave us a good target up forward to take out 5th best. Dylan Vanders gave us plenty of in and under grunt around the ground to round out the best players.
week so we knew they were going to bring the heat. A bit of an undermanned Saints team saw us bring up three junior colts for a run, all of which showed a lot of poten al. The first quarter started off with us kicking a quick 5 goals in the first 10 minutes, Harvey Jones kicking 4 of them. In the second quarter we decided to throw things around a bit giving them some of our be er players. This proved to make a good contest for the boys as the Saints ended up snagging one in the second quarter. The third quarter played out in a similar fashion. At the last break we decided that 9 goals was enough for Harvey and sent him over to Nangwarry for a run, where he ended up snagging another goal in the final term. Our best players for the day were Harvey, finishing on 10 goals and 30 touches. Zak Bowering played a tough game on both our team and the Saints, probably going that bit harder against us. Je Faulkner provided his usual while Blake Werchon played a tough game as well. Young Charlie Sims had a go out of his usual posi on on the ball and stood up. And Jordy Atkinson had a tough game laying a heap of tackles and providing forward pressure. This week we are off to Robe.
Senior Colts: Last week we were at home to take on the Saints. Nangwarry as a club were up and about a er their 8 year drought breaking win in the A Grade last
Junior Colts: We set the team a task last week to see if we could kick more goals then points seeing we have been kicking quite a few points over the recent games and we managed to match goals for points kicking 7.7 which was a good improvement. Oskar Howell had another great game kicking 3 goals up forward, Ethan con nues his great form, Isaac Chambers was good in and around the ball using his good skills, James Solomon had any good game ge ng rewards for his gut running and Hudson Nowak con nues to rebound the ball well from our back line. A big couple of games coming up for us hopefully con nue the winning streak to set up the second half of the season.

Reserves: Last week we played Tantanoola at home. They came out and played a be er game than us. We were on the back foot all day and beaten in all but one quarter. Best players went to Nick Enright, Bram Whi lesea, Jesse Robertson, Elroy Samuels and Simon Ferguson. This weekend we travel to Hatherleigh. Be great if the boys turn up to training this week and work on their skills as its sure to be a big game as Hatherleigh sit top of the table. A Grade: Last week we came off a 2 week break with interleague followed by a bye and were looking to get back on the winners list. Tantanoola come off a devas ng loss to Nangwarry the week before and were keen to get a win on the board. The stage was set for a great contest. The weather was like a bag of licorice all sorts with bouts of rain and sunshine striking the Junior and Reserves games. What were we going to get for the main game? Both teams came out strong in the first half. Robe managed to get their hands on the footy and link up through a number of handballs. Tantanoola con nued to chase and provide significant pressure on the Robe boys. Jordan Hentschke provided Robe the first goal with a beau ful link handball across the half forward boundary and slo ed the goal on the run on his opposite. The first quarter remained a scrap with neither 2nd qtr
3rd qtr
team taking control. Robe went into the first break with a 2-point lead. In the second quarter, the game con nued to be a hot contest. Both teams trying to wrestle the lead. Robe's returning captain, Tom Williams, led from the front and hustled the ball out of the backline and into a ack. He even slo ed a couple of goal of his own. Control of the football looked to be in Robe's hands as they led by a couple of goals at half me. In the third quarter the game would be decided. Tantanoola came out firing and were by no means going to give up. Tant's midfielders, Troy Ha and Jordan Ha , drove the ball into their forward 50 on mul ple occasions. But Robe well and truly had control of the game. Jedd Jare for Robe was an absolute workhorse and led up all day and even slo ed a goal himself. The game con nued to be a scrap with a heavy deck and a slippery football. Robe went into the 3-quarter me break with the lead. The game well and truly opened up in the second half. Kaden Woodward for Robe was unstoppable slo ng goals and running through the midfield. Jasper Barre provided plenty of run off the half back line and laid some crucial tackles. Robe came away with a 32-point lead to win the game. This week we take on Hatherleigh on their home deck and are looking forward to a huge contest! 4th qtr

Last week we travelled to Mount Burr and came away with 2 wins. A er the days play, we held our annual Variety Night for the first me a er a couple of years off. It was a great night for the club with some terrific acts and people pu ng their hands up to organise the event. Thanks to Sarah for doing a large amount of work for the night. Junior Colts: The Junior Colts got the day off to a great start coming away with a 22-point win, which sees them go to 9 and 1. A great first quarter with 6 goals on the board helped set the tone and we probably could have won by more. Best players were Lachlan Brierley, Tighe Hurley, Kallan Price, Sam Haase, Brodie Burdon and Harley Dale. Senior Colts: The Senior Colts were lacking a lot of numbers last week and got off to a poor start. We had a few fillins thanks to Mount Burr but weren't quite up to it on the day. We had an excellent last quarter kicking 6 goals to 2 but ended up going down by 86 points. Best players were Marcus McGrath, Digby Richards-Fennell, Kieron Rigney, Cameron Morale, Aidan Hurley and Lachlan Brierley. Reserves: The Reserves are star ng to play some consistent footy and managing to prevent those injuries that we had early in the season. Ben Curran kicked 9 goals for the day and 2nd qtr
3rd qtr
long me serving full-back Jezza kicked 3. The midfield are star ng to find form at the right me of year, so once we get all our A graders back on the park we will hopefully see what our full strength Reserves side looks like. We ended up winning by 126 points. Best players were Ben Curran, Trent Hawke, Adam Pulford, Bevan Lipscombe, Mark Arthurson and Taylor McGrath. A Grade: The Seniors played one of our only 4-quarter efforts for the whole year. If it wasn't for poor kicking, we would have won by 6 goals. We kept the intensity and endeavour up all game, but just couldn't capitalise on our inside 50s. Credit to Mount Burr though as they kept the scoreboard pressure on us and made us look silly a couple of mes with their transi on play. We went down by 4 points in a muchimproved team effort a er last week’s poor game. Hopefully it's a sign of wins to come in the back end of the season. Best players were Andy Gray, Brodie Glynn, Zacc Cocks, Tory Weaver, Patrick Mitchell and Sam Giersch. This week we host Nangwarry in a must win game for all teams. Thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers.

A disappoin ng day for the Saints last week, however onwards and upwards and we hope the teams get a few wins this week against the Murphies. We also with all the Nangwarry and Hatherleigh players who sustained injuries a speedy recover. Thank you to all those who a ended the Nangwarry Gold Cup. It was a great night with everyone ge ng into the spirit. Best Dressed Male went to Ma Pra who looked Dapper and Best Dressed Female went to Carly Ploenges in her beau ful floral dress. Our next func on is our annual Auc on Night. This is shaping up to be a great night. If any of our supporters or sponsors wish to contribute please catch up with Tamara, players you are reminded that all items need to be to Tamara by July 9th so she can start adver sing. This week's sponsors are Blue Lake Golf Links and South East Conveyors. The Blue Lake Golf Club is a premier golf course and func on centre located in the Limestone Coast of South Australia. Bill has been a big supporter of the club and a much valued sponsor especially since the fire that destroyed our club. Always willing to help. We encourage all players and supporters to head to Blue Lake Golf Club for a meal or a round of golf. South East Conveyors & Engineering was formed in 2000. It has steadily grown into a major engineering, conveying and project management business employing over 70 full me plus a casual highly qualified staff, servicing both locally and na onwide. Under 11: Good crack again by our under 11s. The level of improvement from our new players and exis ng has been fantas c to watch unfold. Really good ball movement, hit our targets and finished with a few

snags. Junior Colts: A tough challenge awaited our group against Hatherleigh but we fought hard all day and gave a really good contest. Our tackling pressure was pleasing to see as I asked for plenty of numbers at the contest and to limit the opposi on’s running game. Thanks again to South Gambier for the lend of 2 players for the game. Best players were Benne , Jordan E, Calais, Josh, Jack and Blake. Senior Colts: They say a week is a long me in football and that is certainly true with the Senior Colts last week! A much-improved performance where there was some quality footy on display. The pressure and tackling were terrific. I think this past game saw more tackles than the previous month! I urge you guys to set this as our standard, as you saw even good teams make mistakes when under pressure! Best players Riley, Noah, Hayden, Ty, Peter and Archer. B Grade: Nangwarry came up against one of the be er sides in Hatherleigh and they showed us why. While the score didn't reflect the completeness of the game at mes, Hatherleigh showed us what we need to do to be at that level. Some of the posi ves from this game where our work around the stoppages and how our back line worked hard all day. Some of the things we can work on are our pressure in the forward line and being able to run both ways. Some of our best players were Brayden Kelly, Blake Neshoda, Ben Just, Arron Heron, Josh Clayfield and Mick Chaplin. A Grade: We came up against a red hot Hatherleigh and they put us to the sword early! The game was over at half me and unfortunately we piled up and injury lost that didn't help us late in the game running it out with 17 players. We move on this week hoping to get back on the winners list!

Today we welcome our many and varied levels of sponsors to the club. Sponsors play an integral role in funding the day to day running of small country clubs, and we are certainly very proud to be associated with all our sponsors and grateful for their con nued support, a lot of them over many years. Members, players and supporters would like to extend their condolences to the Whi y families on the passing of Mrs Whi y last week, hear elt sympathies to you all. Last week we took on Kalangadoo with varied results: Under 11: The Under 11's played their best game for the year. Their hard work on the training track has certainly paid off. It was good to see they held their marks in the wet and delivered the ball to their teammates. The encouragement to their team along with shepherding and tackling skills was outstanding. Thank you to Boxy for bringing all players into the game and the encouragement he gave to all players, it was very enjoyable to be on the field. Awards: Intersport - Sam McInnes, Graham & Ange Award - Mac Brant, Angelino Family Award - Jackson Thompson, Coaches Award - Huey Harding, Club Award -Toby Telford, Donut King - Coby Brant. Junior Colts: Headed down the road to take on a developing but undersized young Kalangadoo side. It was a chance to try a few in different posi ons and give some game me to others around the ground. Had a few away s ll with the flu, however once se led, we managed to get off to a flyer in the first quarter. Our mids finding plenty of the ball in space and se ng up play to allow our forwards plenty of me and space. A er half me we switched the board around and managed to keep playing a top brand of footy to con nue with our style of play and credit to the boys who played the second half out of posi on and allow others some me on the ball as we ran out the game comfortably. Was pleasing to see a real team game with everyone being brought into the play throughout the four quarters and ge ng a shot on goal. Best players and awards went to Harrison Elletson Rarcoola Structural, Luke Allen - Rocks Shop Award, Ryan Lucas - Spot-On Fishing Award, Axel Page - Mick Mullan Award, Logan Cordy - Coaches Award, Noah VS-D Janeway Plumbing Award. Looking forward to being able to put on a show for our sponsors next up against the Burr back on home turf. Senior Colts: Last week we were down at the Doo, with what we thought was going to be a wet, average day for footy! Coming up against the 5th on the ladder Kalangadoo it was s ll not going to be an easy task for my boys! The ground was in mint condi on with sun was shining for the whole of our game which suited the way we like to play footy. Much like the week before against the Bay, we led at all 4 breaks to win by 72 points. Best on ground
and the Ma hew's Petroleum Award we had our vice-captain Tom Bellinger kicking a ripping 5 goals and led around the ground all day long, second with the MT Wheels Award we had James Allen who was full of speed up and down the ground and was a big impact around the contest all day long, 3rd was Brycie Von StankeDowie (Swallow Drive Meats), he's only a li le fella this kid but has the best second effort and a ack at the ball I've seen from anyone this year, 4th and the Mick Mullan Award was Maverick Cooper with him doing what he does week in week out! Clearing it from the contest and moving the ball fast, 5th was Will Von Stanke (Coaches Award), who only played 3 quarters of footy, s ll kicking 4 for the day, and 6th we had our first gamer for the Senior Colts, Jobe Janeway (Badenoch's Deli Award) who kicked a ripper goal from a front and centre, and we will definitely see him in a few more games this year. Un l next week, go Hawks! Reserves: Pre y proud of the boy's effort against a strong Kalangadoo side. We had our share of the ball but couldn't move the ball fluently enough to put scoreboard pressure on. Our tackling and a ack on the ball is something the team can take great heart from, and hopefully we can take that into an important game against the Burr. Captain Ma Maidment played a blinder for the Commercial Hotel Award. Bohdi Pannenburg was everywhere and never stopped working for the Collins Court Butchers Award. Lachie Pulford con nued his recent string of form to earn the Club Tea Award. Riley Maconachie racked up touches and got the Pick Avenue Award. Sandy Cameron never gave in down back and got the second Club Tea Award. Seniors: The boys started off good and stayed with the very polished K'doo side ll half me. Unfortunately, a er half me we fell in a hole and stopped, then their run started. The fourth quarter we came out stronger, with plenty of run, and pu ng a few goals on the board but it was all too late as Kalangadoo kicked their way home. Best on the day with the Bellum Hotel Award was high flying Jarrod (Jacka) Ryan, Commercial Hotel Award went to the ever-reliable Aaron (Kouta) Lightbody who is thriving doing a bit of ruck work, third best and the Collins Court Butcher Award went to Captain Marty Leigh Von Stanke who worked relessly across the backline all day for us. Tyson Modra has been hi ng some form of late to take home the Club Tea Award and Ma Cordy con nued his consistent season with the Pick Ave Deli Award. Shuffle Night at the club a er teas tonight, next week a er the Nangwarry game we head back to the club for the Dinner Auc on, get your tables together and book with Jacqui or a commi ee member. Both nights are sure to be a great success, and we thank the donors of the auc on items for their contribu ons also.

Junior Colts: Last week we were up against it with some quality opposi on and a few players down, a big thank you to Pricey for lending players and we got as many kids on the park to have a game which is a big thing in junior footy. Thank you to the kids who filled in for us and having a crack. To our boys your pressure and effort couldn’t be ques oned and the biggest thing I was proud to see was the way you encouraged each other and got around each other. You boys should hold your heads up high, best players for us were Deklan Brant, Charlie Bevan, Heath Johnston, Rylan McKay, Reed Gardiner, Levi Thiele could have been any of our players in the best, you all played a great game. We look forward to another quality hit out this week. Cheers Tom Senior Colts: Last week we took on an undermanned Glencoe side and came away with a comfortable win in a great team effort. The boys are playing good compe ve football even with a lapse in the last quarter. Best players were Muhammad Abduvhobov who controlled the backline and set up plenty of forward a acks. Kallan Bevan had a rest from on ball du es and went to full forward finishing with 14 goals and handing off plenty. Brady Sharp was all over the ground and used his skills to great effect. Trey Norton Li le was hard at it all day and is really improving his skills. Callum Sparkes rucked hard all day giving us first use of the ball and Deklan Brant went forward and provided great op ons with his leading and finished with a goal.
found ourselves down by 6 goals. While we responded in the second quarter and had mul ple shots on goal, the second half was disappoin ng. Best players for us were Tommy Hales who spent me in the midfield as well as the forward line, Noah Telfer who ba led away all day in the ruck, Je Bowering, Ben Ballantyne, Kaz Neilson and Lachie Alcock. Special thanks to Liam Johnston and Kody Bowering for taking on jobs when we were struggling to get volunteers. A Grade: Round 11 saw us host Glencoe at home and in a tough slog was great to come away with the win and hold on to the McInnes Shield for another year. Hats off to Glencoe who kept pushing and chasing us all day, was definitely anyone’s game un l that final siren. Thanks to Kami for making the annual trek down, always good to see you! Congratula ons to young Charlie Bevan who made his A Grade debut in what was a special moment for his family, our A Grade group and the whole club. Great for him to make his debut next to his brother and to both play well. Great things ahead for both the Bevan boys! Best players for the day were Jimmy Wal with his s ff arms and run, Knife with his rebound and run, Jacob Gregory with his work around the ground and in the ruck, Kal Bevan for his skill and link up thru the day, Horse with his constant denial in the opposi on forward 50 and Joshy Wal for his strength and “holding the ball.” On to Kongorong at Kongorong this week in another big match. Looking forward to Flight Night back at the club Saturday night, make sure you’ve got your ckets!
B Grade: We were hoping for a different result from the first me we played Glencoe but unfortunately that didn’t happen. We were smashed in the first quarter and very quickly

B Grade: A er a really tough first round of the year, the break and the second round couldn't come quick enough. Thankfully the numbers have improved as the year has gone for coach Donovan making it slightly easier as the weeks go on.
Best for the week were William Macdonald, Wade Chant, Rhys Timms, Ben O’Dine, Fraser Lynch, Ethan Gladman.
The game was certainly best the boys had played all year and didn't let Kongorong get too far ahead and fought the game out right un l the end, unfortunately Kongorong were a li le too good in the end and managed to hold on for the win. Best for the week were Daniel Fisher, Tyreese Newton, Connor Twomey, Liam Bo omley, Grady Hutchesson. A Grade: A er a break for the long weekend/Interleague we returned home for a stretch of home games. The senior side was looking to capitalise a er a really good first round of the year and the job started against Kongorong. The boys hit the ground running for the three quarters and managed to get themselves a good lead, however they may have spent most of petrol credits in those first 3 quarters as Kongorong hit back and looked unstoppable in the last quarter. Thankfully though me managed to beat Kongorong and the boys managed to hold on for slender 9 point win.

Under 11: The Kalangadoo Junior Magpies con nue to improve and gain in confidence each and every week. There is some really pleasing football being played and the level of enthusiasm and passion for the game is high. The Under 11 numbers con nue to grow each week with about 23 players taking the field against Kongorong. It was by far the best performance from the young under 11’s with Nathan’s tackle an absolute highlight of the match. The other most pleasing aspect of the game was the way the players are genuinely improving and looking for each other to move the ball forward. Junior Colts: The Under 14’s played some of their best football as well. Kongorong were much bigger and stronger. We fielded a young team, and also managed to have 21 players last week. Senior Colts: Tommy’s Senior Colts team played some of their best football in the first quarter and were really able to be compe ve and keep up with the stronger Kongorong side. Unfortunately, although player numbers, were posi ve Kongorong were too good on the day and especially in the second half. Connor, Brad and Jack con nued their great form which is why they are con nuing to get the opportunity to play A Grade football B Grade: Last Saturday was a massive danger game and a test for the B Grade lads as we took on a strong Kongorong Side with a number of our players injured or unavailable for the game due to work commitments. The lads 2nd qtr

seemed to be really keen for the contest with Harry’s warmup rou ne seems to be working a treat for ge ng the boys ready for the game. We have been working on a number of things at training over the last few weeks, especially in regards to playing and winning contested footy and this held us in really good stead for the game against Kongorong. The boys were able to really ‘grind’ out a win through hard work and persistence. The back six were again impressive keeping Kongorong goalless for three quarters, with Mitch Muller, Adam Blom and Elliot Pegler all performing well. Kevin Stark set the tone for the game with his relentless tackling with Nathan Reeves and Chris La Rocca sharing best on ground honours. Eventually we were able to run out 47 point winners which was one of our best wins for the season. We look forward to taking this form into another big game against Port McDonnell down at the Bay this weekend. A Grade: The A Grade side came up against Kongorong for what could have been a danger game. Although Kongorong did have some injuries our boys were absolutely clinical in their ball use and their ability to hit leading forward targets. Our back 6 again were amazing keeping the Hawks to 6 goals. Pat Davies, Ben Gregory, Lachy Jones, Mitch Lowe, the McManus brothers and Andrew Stone were very notable players on the day. This being said however every player on the ground contributed to what was a really solid 125 point win. Gocourtesy Maggies! Images Steve Walters (Snapperific) 4th qtr

A GRADE NETBALL PREVIEW - ROUND 12 HATHERLEIGH v ROBE Hatherleigh host Robe this weekend in the match of the round. Both teams will come out firing, hoping to come away with the win. A er losing Tori Gluyas to an ankle injury last weekend, Robe's Sarah Laurie and Demi Carter will have to work hard in the goal circle, moving and shoo ng with accuracy. Lara MacGregor and Demi Vanderhorst's pressure in the circle will force Robe to make every possession count. The tussle between Tegan Telfer and Annie Hunter down the court will be tough, with both players figh ng hard for the ball, with both players having a good drive down the court and accurate feeding into their goalies. Hatherleigh's Maddie Pulmer and Abby Wight will combine well and shoot with accuracy; however Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins will fight for every rebound. With changes having been made to both teams since last round, this game could go either way.
GLENCOE v NANGWARRY Second place Glencoe take on the winless Nangwarry at home. Nangwarry took it up to Hatherleigh for the first quarter last week but are struggling to string four quarters together. Glencoe will u lise the strength of Sarah Edwards and Chantelle Cocks in their defensive circle to put the pressure on for Nangwarry's Tahlia Wilson and Ange Pra . Any turnovers by Glencoe will be transi oned smoothly down the court to Jenna Paproth and Malinda Markiewicz in the goal circle. Shannon Higgins and Carly Ploenges will be working hard for the Saints to turn balls over and give their goalies an opportunity to score. Glencoe will come away with the points at the end of the game.
KONGORONG v MOUNT BURR Mount Burr head to Kongorong to face off against the Hawks, with both teams coming off losses last week, they will both be eager to get more points on the board. Mount Burr's Madi Hagge and Olivia Dean will apply pressure in the defensive circle, making Tilah Buckingham and Evie Sealey earn every possession and goal. Down the other end of the court, Riley Buckingham and Sarah Lucas will be working relessly to curb the influence of Ebony Clark's accuracy, combined with Zoe Brown in goals. Both Rach Perry and Laura Schultz will work the ball down the court for their respec ve teams and will feed the ball with accuracy into their goalies. A er a well fought game, Mount Burr will come away with the win.
PORT MACDONNELL v KALANGADOO Port MacDonnell are set to host the Magpies this weekend. Port MacDonnell's Kirby Carrison and Toni Williams combine well in the goal circle; however the pressure of Kalangadoo's Reanna Wetherall and Lauren Kain will be hard to ba le. Alana Winter's height and strength in Port Mac's defensive circle will be key in shu ng down the accurate shoo ng of Abbey Duncan and Kori Collins for Kalangadoo. Jayde Peacock and Liza Mutch will have a good tussle through the midcourt, with both players vying for possession of the ball, and hoping to force turnovers. Peacock has strong drive to the circle and will feed her goalies with accuracy, with pressure applied by Demons’ Mutch and Jess Lynch. Kalangadoo will finish the game with another win.

NETball club notes Junior 2: Our movement to the ball was great to watch all the way down the court. As usual our defensive efforts were amazing. It was posi ve to see our footwork con nually improving and the use of so many shoulder passes. Thank you to Hadlie and Addison for filling in, you both slo ed in easily. Awards: Addison Lowe (McDonalds), Poppy Bowering (HLC). Junior 1: A very convincing game from J1 girls all over the court. Great to see our midcourters driving to the top of the ring, our goalies used their triangles well to get good shoo ng posi on. Defence was solid all over and we were ready for any loose ball coming our way. Boxing out under the ring was resul ng in strong rebounds in defence. Awards: Hazel Hamilton (Denton’s Sportspower), Paige Walters (HLC). 13 & Under: A strong defensive game where we worked hard all over the court. We were able to make plenty of turnovers but were unable to capitalise on them. We need to keep working on finding and cu ng the front, so we don't put each other under pressure. Awards: Olivia Bellinger (HLC), Luca Hamilton (Denton’s Sportspower). 15 & Under: Great job girls, it was good to see everyone take on board Thursday's training and put it into play. Kalli and Hailey shot and moved well in the circle. Eva moved well and created space, enabling some nice open feeds to the circle. Deni and Ayrlie worked super hard in the mid-court and got their hands to many balls while Kyah and Niah were rock solid in defence. A really good team effort from everyone, well done girls. Awards: Eva Thomas (Denton’s Sportspower), Kyah Carruthers (HLC). 17 & Under: We had some very strong defensive and a ack plays, with some great movement down the court. We were able to create plenty of turnovers but were unable to convert them successfully. We need to remember to have each other's back and that defensive pressure needs to be applied all over the court. Awards: Demi Jones (Java Cafe), Imogen Nowak (Denton’s Sportspower). B Reserve: Wow! These girls really put a fantas c 4 quarters together as the scoreline indicated. Jess was on fire in the goal circle ably backed up by Nic and Sarah. Grace worked hard at WA and fed the goalies beau fully. Stace had a great game in the centre linking the game and offering plenty of encouragement. The defence line of Jo, Fi and Amy were terrific all game picking off many, many intercepts and sending the ball back into a ack. Overall, a super team effort. Linda would've been proud of. Hope Jess's injury is not too serious, and she can be back on court soon. Thanks, Lorrie, for scoring. Awards: Jess Clark (Sassi), Jo
NETball club notes Murray (Somerset Hotel). B Grade: With 4 girls out last week which happened to be all our goalies, the girls did an amazing job to s ll have a great win 51-20. Georgia swapped ends taking the GS bib and Sarah Beare came up from B Res to help us out and played GA. You wouldn't have known that these two haven't played together before because they combined great and shot really well. Our defensive pressure all down the court was impressive crea ng many turns. Our transi ons weren't as fluent as what they have been but I'm s ll really happy with the four quarters we produced. Meg had a ripper game with great defence and driving hard into a ack and Sophie and Ella owning that defensive goal circle as always. Jas worked hard all day always being an op on and Nat moved nicely and adjusted her feeding well. A big thank you to Imogen and Elly for si ng bench and to Imogen who came on in the last, which once she could feel her hands and feet again moved and shot really well! Thank you to Mel for scoring again and Jo for primary caring. Awards: Sarah Beare (All-Seasons of Beauty), Georgia Gray (Kelsey Wight Fitness). A Reserve: With 2 of our more experienced players away in Helen and Lucy, the girls needed to step up, Rosie was the steady ship in C, and she did a fantas c job keeping her composure. Eliza, wow, those long bombs! If only we were playing in the super netball, you would have had a lot of 2 pointers! The movement in a ack took a bit to come but Dakota did a great job once se led. We just need to remember to read off each other. Sarah, Millie, and Lucy Chant are combining well in defence, pu ng lots of pressure over the ball to then get plenty of intercepts and turnovers. We need to keep working hard to get off the body to not cause the contact. Thank you to Elly for filling in and Immy for si ng bench, Sam for scoring each week and Liss for all your help. Awards: Rosie Ne le (Somerset Hotel), Eliza Mewe (Since-Fi y-Six). A Grade: A much-improved effort from all girls. The game had a lot be er flow, and it was good to see a much-improved goal circle. Georgia played a super game at WD defending hard, picking off intercepts and being a strong op on in the mid-court. Maddie R bounced back and shot beau fully at GA, s ll learning the posi on it's a credit to her for the work she puts in. Dem and Lara teamed well and worked hard to confuse the space and get their hands to plenty of ball. Overall, a huge improvement that we need to con nue with going forward. Awards: Georgia Hunter (Somerset Hotel), Maddie Redman (Since-Fi ySix).
Junior 2: A cold and miserable day for netball, but that's winter sports. The girls really need to be commended for their efforts and 'never give up' a tudes. They came up against a taller side but gave it their all. Amazing efforts girls. Incen ve (Sails @ Robe) went to Scarle for her great game in the mid court. Junior 1: Girls did well this week a er having a couple of weeks off! Tant show really strong circle work throughout all grades star ng from juniors which is definitely something our Junior 1's are s ll learning! A er some mid game talk and a lot of encouragement, our mid court really improved on leading towards the ball and calling in front of each player. Our defence end is where we show the most strength with almost every rebound won by Robe. Poppy took home the incen ve a er have a ripper game in GK and turning over some great plays! S ll a lot to work on and a lot to do now we're back from a break! 13 & Under: Robe 34 Tant 9. Great game by all the girls a er a couple of weeks off. The girls worked relessly all game with their defensive pressure being the best it has been all season! Once again Milla dominated in the goal circle shoo ng with great accuracy. Shout out to Mackenzie who stepped into GS and filled the posi on with confidence and accuracy! Milla and Mackenzie started to gel very well and worked as a team! Aleisha had a ripper game - ge ng her hands to so many balls at WD. Tess as always ran a great game at C and took home best player (Union Café). Incen ve (Loaves & Fishes) went to Kaitley for her strong drives and clearing out in a ack. It was great to see all the girls improve since the last me we played Tant! Let's hope we can keep up the hard work and get a few more wins to the board this half of the season. 15 & Under: Robe 45 Tant 16. A fantas c win girls, there was some great passages of play but s ll wasn't your best game. Having so many of us in the team we need to adjust to playing different posi ons on the court, and be ok with it. Playing your role in the team is so important and trying your best at that posi on is all I ask. We have a great li le team, and could get quite far, but you all need to want to play netball and not worry about posi ons and whatever is going on outside of netball. Let's have a great training this week, strong and united and it will transpire through to your game on Saturday. Best player (Me & Miss Jones) went to Georgie for a great game in goals. This is the first game I've seen you be a play maker, cu ng into the goal circle and coming forward. Incen ve (Denton Sportspower) went to Kiana for her solid game in goals and C, took the C bib with pride which is what I want to see! 17 & Under: Robe 30 Tant 34. We had a slow start a er having a two-week break, chasing by 12 points at half me. We worked our way back into the game with some strong defensive work from Billie and Maddie, giving our a ackers the chance to convert our turnovers. Maisie ran hard through the middle all game, always being an op on and feeding well into our
goalies, earning herself best player (The Eighth Le er). A switch up with Ella and Sienna in the goal circle gave the girls a boost, making it hard for the defenders to gain possession. Our last quarter was our best as a team, but we just couldn't catch up, going down by 4 goals! We know as a team we can play be er and it just wasn't our day, but we'll get them next me! B Reserve: Robe 14 Tant 47. I could probably best describe our game vs Tant as all over the shop. Most of us didn't really rev up, but maybe we were just ready for our gig that night at Miss Rooster. Calcu a (The Eighth Le er) went to Jess and incen ve to Annie (Loaves & Fishes) who is star ng to up it in the close contests and have a red hot go. It was however a very special day for our Rose Perkins, who made an umpiring comeback doing the B Reserve game. Great job Rosie x. Thanks to all who organised Sponsors Day and how good were the new Deadwood sponsored umpire uniforms. Slick! We were heading in pre y well organised to Miss Rooster and our entrant Ferg had promised that he'd been prac cing in his heels… Makeup was superb by B, the song choices spot on, the ou its carefully selected, especially our ac ve wear. But the crown def went to Miss Fergalicious for an outstanding performance on the catwalk which blew the compe on away. Congrats to Team B Rezzies on the win! B Grade: Robe 29 Tant 41. What a great day girls, not once did we drop our heads and although we didn't come away with the win we fought ll the end. Sophie, Kellie and Car a did well in defence with some very accurate shooters up that end of the court. Sophie and Tamara showing more control down the mid court which helped slow the play down. Emma and Lily played well together in goals and moved around the circle well against some tough defence. Best player (Steve's Place) went to Car a for a great game in defence and incen ve (Denton Sportspower) went to Lily for some excellent work in goals! A Reserve: Robe 55 Tant 17. Great game ladies, we fought early to gain a great lead and then didn't look back. We have such great team to work with and have so much fun doing it! Our strong and careful play is what wins us games, everyone looks a er each and every pass. A big welcome Han to the team, we are all looking forward to playing with you. Looking forward to a hit out this week to take on the Eagles! Calcu a (Holiday) went to Demi and incen ve (Pure Luxe) to Alex. A Grade: Robe 40 Tant 53. We knew it was going to be a tough one! With a slow start we were on the back foot from the get-go, making it hard to bounce back. However, with a never say die a tude we had a great second quarter and some great passages of play throughout the game. When we play with confidence in ourselves and each other we are unstoppable, so let's take that into our next game. Our thoughts are with Tori on making a speedy recovery, we can't wait to have you back out on the court! Calcu a (Retail Therapy) - Georgia Perkins and Incen ve (Steve's Place) - Emma Grant.

NETball club notes Junior 2: Good job girls and boy for playing in the rain. You guys are important each week. Got something to work on this week at training. First best to Abbie for leading to the ball and ge ng a lot of touches in defence and second best went to Shelby for her long shot when she was a foot in the ring. Good game girls and boy. Junior 1: Great game girls. Our movement of the ball across the court was much be er. We s ll need to work on coming in front even when our player is smaller than us. First best went to Jaz who played a great defensive first half and a great second half in a ack remembering to take her me before shoo ng. Second best went to Annabelle who moved really well in a ack for the first half and ran hard in centre for the second half. We also gave out an encouragement award to our junior 2 Shelby who only played a quarter but did everything I asked her to do and played really well. Thanks to Abbie and Shelby for si ng bench. 13 & Under: Wow that was an amazing game by everyone in the last quarter! From being down by 6 goals to coming away and winning by 1 was brilliant. Ruby Buckley and Macy Williamson had an awesome game in defence with ge ng mul ple turnovers, which earned Macy Williamson the Dycer Construc on Award. Layla had another amazing game playing C, with great drives down the court to allow for clear passes, which earned her second best. Let's all go into Nangwarry with a posi ve a tude knowing that we can do it. Great work girls! 15 & Under: 18-61. Wet condi ons, the girls took a li le to se le and find their flow of the game. Everyone played well and kept their heads high. The score doesn't reflect the determina on and not give up a tude for the whole game. Maddy received the Maloney Plumbing Award as she drove hard with many intercepts and all done with a smile. Amelie got second best with her readjus ng and applying pressure and working her feet well, Tahliah played out of posi on for the first half and all kept figh ng for intercepts and chasing lose balls. Good game girls. 17 & Under: 27-40. Tough loss girls, not our best game. We started the first quarter very strong, but unfortunately we made too many of our own silly errors and this is what let us down. We get so many turnovers all over the court we just need to make sure we play pa ent, controlled netball when we get turnovers and finish when we get it in the circle. Goalies - keep your heads up high and con nue to have confidence in yourselves, we all know you can do it. DeGaris Lawyers Award went to Chelsea who always creates lots of great turnovers and is always a loud posi ve voice on the
NETball club notes court. Second went to Zoe who always plays a very consistent game and fantas c job going back into GD you did exactly what I asked you to do. B Reserve: 30-39. Once again we started without a full strength side against a top side. We started a li le slow and recovered with a great second quarter. We need to work on leading into the space and being aware of where others are. The 3rd quarter was slow but we came back again in the last. If we can play a consistent 4 quarters we will definitely be there at the end of the year. Key 2 Sale Award went to Alarna who tried her heart out all day and had her fingers to many balls and Bri for another consistent game in goals B Grade: 64-27. It was great to see a er a slow first quarter we regrouped and started playing great netball. Both Hayley (Planta on Treated Timber Award) and Chloe dominated the midcourt causing a lot of turnovers and then followed it up with excellent feeding into the goalies. Another great team effort girls, let's just remember to keep the talk up on the court and get behind each other. Go Murphies! A Reserve: 49-27. Well done girls, what a nice win for everyone and such a posi ve vibe on the court. We welcomed back Emily to the court while she was home so that was good to have her long arms in defence. Sam (B&P Travel and Cruise Award) excellent game - so many touches and driving out of defence was great. Laura and Abbie were again a great combina on in goals finishing off on a high. Alyce, Jessie and Zoe good driving and pa ence within the mid court with some new combina ons. Tameka fantas c effort coming out to WD. I thought you did an excellent job with so many touches and hands over. Great game girls. A Grade: 43-39. Good job girls. We started the game really strong. Our a acking transi on into the circle was seamless and defence came out contes ng every pass. Great job to con nue to slow down our regular game play in that first quarter to adjust to the very slippery courts. We did have a lapse in the second quarter a er they made some changes. All we needed was to con nue the pa ence we showed in the first quarter and step up to take every ball strongly. Ashlea received best player (O'Brien Electrical) for her work rate down the court and pa ent feeding. Chloe was second best (Commercial Hotel) for her work contes ng all day. Let's con nue to be nice and pa ent for the rest of the season. We need to con nue to work on performing for the full four quarters and make sure that if we do have a lapse we can swing the momentum back quickly. Let's come out strong today.
Well done to the 13's on their win. Our juniors look up to the seniors and I am sure you may make one budding future star’s day with a compliment. We wish all players both Hatherleigh and Nangwarry that sustained injuries Saturday and hopefully you all have a speedy recovery. Thank you to all those who a ended the Nangwarry Gold Cup. Junior 2: Was a tough game against Hatherleigh with only a couple of goals scored but you all did well throughout the game with spreading out and bringing the ball down. Trying new posi on is hard but you all did an amazing job! Training this week we will concentrate on our passes and keeping our 3 feet before pu ng our hands up. And focus on listening. Best player Scarlet Heron (Donut King Award). Junior 1: Well done girls, definitely a tough game against Hatherleigh. You all played well despite the cold wet weather. You spread out well and we're ge ng be er at leading out. Thank you to our fill-ins again for helping us out every week. Well done Asha for best player. 13 & Under: Another fantas c team effort. Everyone played well and I couldn't be happier. We had a few players take tumbles throughout the game. Ella C hurt her wrist and we are hoping it is not serious and won't have to miss any games. Our next game is another hard one, hopefully we can con nue our great form. Pines Hotel Award Skye. 15 & Under: You started off strong girls so well done, Scarle and Elycia played a great game in defence, Scarle took numerous intercep ons to turn the ball over and Elycia was able to apply
pressure to the shooter forcing her out of the ring. Holly presented herself down the court to open up play and Hailie feed the goalies well. Kiara is a pivotal part of the drive in the team and ran hard all day. Kaitlen moved well all game and was able to feed Madison in the goal circle, the two combined well. Keep working at it girls and hopefully we will get to see you in the finals. Just remember to slow it down and take your me and adjust to what isn't working. 17 & Under: Saturday's game saw us come up against a tough team. We were missing a couple players which le us unsteady to start with but the girls soon se led down. Goals started moving well and created many scoring opportuni es. Mid court were backing each other up and driving well. Defence were combining well and doing lots of talking which was really good to see. Thanks to the girls that filled in for us last week. Best players were Skye Muller and Kaitlin Rossiter. B Reserve: Hatherleigh is always a really tough fast side to play against and last week was no excep on. Unfortunately every turnover we got we tried to match their speed, we need to remember to slow down and play our game. Defence was working over me and tried their best to keep up with the fast strong passes coming in ge ng their hands to some of them. Kid court and a ack did their best to try and move the ball into the circle with some great passing in when we got the opportunity unfortunately we were unable to convert into goals this me. Best players were Amy Long and Maddy Glynn. B Grade: We always knew that we would have a tough game ahead of us, and that's exactly what it was. We are s ll not talking much on the court and lacking encouragement. We had some good passages of play and some not so well. With only 6 games le for the season, let's focus on our improvement and come together as a team and finish the season off strong. Best players were Shannon Pearce and Chrystal Lock. A Reserve: We started off the game really strong creeping ahead. Everyone put in 110% and was determined. Our court play was fantas c all the way down the court. Unfortunately Megs went down and it then took us a while to adjust. When we did and played our game our pa ent and steady one we were back in it. Defence worked extra hard and took some awesome intercepts and centre area ran hard and passed well into the ring. Goalies had a new combina on and adjusted to how each other played quickly and started to combine and move ball around well. We dropped a bit in the last and let the game get away, but it was a massive effort to only go down by 10 an improvement on last game. Thanks to Emily for stepping on in her first A Res game - you did awesome. Megs we are hoping you recover quickly. Club tea award went to Tamara. A Grade: Unfortunately we didn't come away with the win but we are s ll playing some compe ve netball when we stop and play our game. We had some great passages of play just made some silly errors. We need to work hard at training and hopefully we can start to play 4 consistent quarters. Thanks Cass for filling in for us. Best players were Tahlia Wilson and Ebony Lawson.

NETball club notes Junior 2: Excellent effort from every player. We came out strong in the first quarter and didn’t let down for the following quarters. Lily was great in a ack and defence with intercep ons across the court. Alyssa chased a lot of loose balls. Willow's a ack and leading was unstoppable. Meeka and Adele’s defence was making it hard. Ashleigh and Makenzie were using the court well. Sasha did great defending. Well done to the whole side. Best players went to Adele ($5 donated) and Ashleigh (Donut King). Junior 1: Kalangadoo's height and wet weather made it difficult for the girls. Havvi did well in defence along with Zoe and Holly. All girls did well considering the compe on was very strong. Best players went to Claire and Zoe ($5 Angelino award). 13 & Under: The girls were determined to not give up! The games excitement began with a '3 pointer' shot from Imogen Vandepeer, and ended with J1 player, (aka pocket rocket) Lily McGrath taking the last quarter in C posi on. Kalangadoo made almost every goal, but as the game con nued, our defence players fought more for each rebound and intercep on. Every player once again put in 110% effort, didn't give up and gave it all a red hot go! Best players were Paige Telford, ($10 from the Angelino family,) and Gre a Doman, (Hungry Jack’s voucher.) Well done girls! B Reserve: With only 7 of our players it was a tough game. We had some great rebounds and defence from Le a, Macy and Courtney. Tamika and Elly played well in goals and were unlucky that they kept bouncing back out! Kyla played well in GD when she had to come on ge ng some turnovers. Nat ran hard all game and was always an op on. She received the Commercial Hotel award and Alex played half in WA which
NETball club notes is not her posi on and although looked a li le lost at the start played well and fed the ball well into the shooters earning her the F45 award. B Grade: Li le bit flat girls, but I'm glad you didn't drop your heads! You played as a team and supported each other well. Sarah shot amazing earning her the Evolve award, Maddie ran hard all day awarding her the Commercial Hotel award. Let's work hard this week against Mount Burr! Thanks for the wine Lucy! A Grade: Bad luck girls, we were able to finish strong but let a poor start and lack of control decide our fate early on in the game. We lacked consistency last week, which will be a focus of ours this week at training and through the second half of the season. Once we were able to se le and play our game, we were able to play some great netball and play our game. Best went to Rach (Birdie Blue) and Lyl (The Park) for their relentless pressure and commitment through all four quarters. Thank you to Zara and Jas for benching once again. A huge thank you goes out to our loyal Gold Sponsor in HL Scheidl, their support has enabled us to make improvements around the place and make our club a great place to be. Junior 2: The game was really good to watch for the Junior 2s last week. They have con nued to apply their training in the game trying to create space down the court. Glencoe did an excellent job in their offence sinking some spectacular shots. Unfortunately, last week we were low on numbers again, so a massive thank you to Emily and Hannah for filling in for us! Junior 1: The girls played a really good game last Saturday against Glencoe! They put into play what we have been working on at training as well what Amelia and I said a er each quarter. There are s ll a few things that need to be improved on but overall the girls played a great game and should be proud of themselves! Thank you to Scarle , Sydniee and Zoe for filling in, it was very much appreciated and you also played a awesome game! Well done girls. Best players went to Sydniee (Subway voucher) and Hannah (Toy Kingdom voucher). Well done girls! 13 & Under: Bad luck girls. We know the ups and downs of sport, we have won by 1 and last week we were on the other side losing by 1. We were so close in taking away the win. As a coach I will take away more from this game than you. We were under lots of pressure in the last quarter and will learn a lot from that quarter, me as a coach, you as a player and overall especially as a team. Heads up girls and come out firing against Kongorong this week. Thanks to Monique for scoring, Amy for ming and Meg for umpiring. Awards went to Becky (Denton’s Sportspower drink bo le) and Holly (Denton’s Sportspower bag). 15 & Under: A great game, we were able to come out firing and work on aspects of our game that we prac ce at training. I was impressed with the changes I made and how well we adapted to them on the court with missing two of our girls! Transi oning down the court is looking a lot be er. big thank you to Becky and Holly for coming up from the 13's and Holly for making it on the court and played well in goals with a strong leader in there with her which was Abbey. Thank you Bec for umpiring, Harley for scoring and Kelly for ming. Vouchers went to Tilly (Beauty by Hannah Fraser) and Olivia (Andy's Bakery). 17 & Under: A er a disappoin ng loss last game, the girls came out strong and ready to win. Glencoe stuck with us for most of the game, however we pushed away in the final quarter. All girls had individual goals to focus on and they all went out and implemented them into their game which was great to see. I'm proud of the girls efforts this week and hope to con nue this posi ve momentum. Thank you to Stacey for umpiring, Nicole for scoring and Clare for ming. Awards went to Olivia Dean (Enchanted Beauty by Brianna), Oliviah
Baker (Beauty by Hannah Fraser) and Mae Johnston (Acky's Takeaway). B Reserve: Well done girls, a great game pu ng us under pressure all game. We played a lot be er as a team and working well together all over the court. We s ll need to work on court space when bring the ball down the court, which we will work on at training. Our defence pressure all over the court from everyone was great to watch, chasing any loose balls and backing each other up. Overall a big improvement from the week before. Thanks to Wayne for scoring, Jazmin for ming and Madi for scoring. Welcome back to Ameila and thanks to all your support for me and the team. A hugh thanks to Lynne for filling in for team manager last week, so sorry forgot to men on in the notes. Awards went to Fasta Pasta - Georgia, Harper & Co - Mia and Ampol Petrol Card Bec. B Grade: Another tough game last week against Glencoe. We came out strong in the first quarter, and managed to keep the scores close. It was great to have Lani back to score some handy goals. Her and Madi worked well together, and had some good movement. We managed to li in the second quarter and went goal for goal with Glencoe. Stacey got her hands to a lot of the ball resul ng in some handy turnovers. Tess and Lilly worked well to move the ball into offence. Lara and Jaz worked hard in defence and had hands up over the ball. Unfortunately, our fitness let us down in the second half and we went down. A lot of our passes didn't hit their targets, and there was some footwork errors. Some good areas to work on for this week. Thank you to Gemma for si ng bench for us, Lisa for team managing, and Trish for ming, and Sal for scoring. Congratula ons to Lilly for winning best on and receiving the Fasta Pasta award, and Lani ge ng the Beauty by Hannah award. A Reserve: Great job girls, you always go out there and give it your all. A few new combina ons again last week, we se led well and kept going. When you all relax and have fun you play your best netball! So good to see Maddie and Kelly be able to get on the court together as mum and daughter combo. Awards - Macca and Maddie. Thank you to Maddie, Jasmine and Makaylah. Thank you Heidi and Amber, for scoring and the ever reliable Raelene. A Grade: Not the result we were wan ng. We knew we needed to get a good start as we did the week before but unfortunately, we had to play catch up netball all game which isn't one of our strengths. There were good passages of play all down the court but once again consistency was lacking in some areas. We welcomed Sarah Nulty back to the team and we were also lucky to have Heidi Clark take the court while she is home. Mt Burr 39 to Glencoe 43. Thank you to Leah for umpiring, Allan for scoring, Zali for ming and Tanya once again going above and beyond as our primary carer.
port macdonnell NETball club notes 13 & Under: Great game girls from everyone, our encouragement off and on court is great to see, everyone is willing to back each other up and fight for every ball that's loose on the court. Coming out of defence we need to really set up our structure that we learn each week at training because when we do it and we are pa ent with our passes and our leads it works every me and the rest of the court flows really well and that's just something we will keep learning at training. Our a ack work is great, we are eager to get in and chase everything and our mid-court is always there to back up if needed, our listening on court and off court has really started to show these last couple of weeks because we are really trying to put these things in place. Enjoy the week off girls and get ready to come back in firing this week at training. Best players went to Ivy Wilson (Baker’s Delight) and Lillian Pe ngill (Wendy's). 15 & Under: Great game girls. Lillie Lamb with great defence in the a ack end and some great moving and shoo ng during the last quarter. 17 & Under: Well done girls on a great last quarter. We let them ra le us in the third quarter and started to play inconsistent netball but you were able to fight back to come away with then win. Bridie forced errors in the a ack line for Kongorong with her long reach and blocking, Grace then came into the game and was able to fill Bridie’s shoes also playing an excellent game in wing defence. Your passing accuracy was sensa onal and o en took our breath away! Teamed with perfectly med posi oning around the circle. Your mum would be extremely proud of you. The combina on of Rachel and Brooke in the defensive circle le us holding our breath as they took intercep ons and had brilliant touches. They worked extremely well together, great job girls. Our mid court combina ons work relessly across the court. Candice worked hard running through the middle and delivery the ball with precision. Also taking some mely intercep ons mid court. Our next step as a team is to li our work rate in the 3rd and maintain concentra on and control un l the end of the 4th. We need to work on taking a breath and treasuring the turnovers, taking care un l we score. Take the easy op ons and working the ball in pa ently. Enjoy the weekend off. Let's come back refreshed and refocus! Awards: Rachel Johnstone (Pick Ave Bakery), Georgia Seidel (Shipwreck Bistro Victorian Hotel Port MacDonnell). A Reserve: In perfect playing condi on unfortunately we were unable to come away with the win. It was certainly there for the taking, but due to our own errors we didn't produce the result we would've liked. In saying that, a posi ve start to the 2nd round with everybody on court being encouraging to all team members, something we strongly working towards and implemen ng. A pleasing last quarter saw a posi onal change and team growth being able to close the gap to go down by only 3 goals. This game saw players experience new posi ons which you all adapted very well too, which was great to see. A strong game by Sarah Lomas saw her earn first best followed by Isabella Lamb who again ran a consistent game in C. Let's con nue to work towards our goals and bring back the joy and fun netball brings to us. A Grade: Was good to hit the courts a er a week off and come away with the win. Junior 1: A handful of our li le magpies got to train with the older girls and learn some new skills from our under 13's. They all applied the skills well on game day and came out firing. The girls shot well all game and passing was on point. We were lucky to have the support from Tahlia and Gracie our two li le J2's helping us on the court. Everyone did a fantas c job following the number one rule of having fun and smiling well on Saturday and all girls have improved out of sight. Hope Gem and Emily are soon fit and raring to go and Relle is not too s ff and sore a er her big day (just as well it was only a couple of minutes court me as she actually had to run when taking over Emily's umpiring du es!). Thanks also Meg for also si ng bench again. B Grade: We started the game off to a strong start and we con nued to build on that each quarter. Isobel was able to adjust from wing to goals with ease. ROUND 11 A GRADE NETBALL REVIEW Kalangadoo 78 def Kongorong 33 Kalangadoo commenced the match against the young Kongorong side with intent, driven by the high work rate of goal a ack Abbey Duncan. Kongorong's Riley Buckingham and Sarah Lucas adjusted to the quick pace of Kalangadoo's goal circle and worked relentlessly to curve the influence of Duncan. A blood injury to Kongorong's Sarah Lucas late in the quarter saw Kongorong bring on Jasmin McKinnon. Kalangadoo went into the first quarter break with a lead 20 to 8. Both teams remained unchanged during the second quarter. Kongorong's centre Rach Perry worked hard to find space and feed her goalies Tilah Buckingham and Emily Lightbody, who were forced to adjust and reoffer due to the ght defence of Kalangadoo's defensive circle. Kalangadoo's goal defence Lauren Kain stepped up her pressure, causing intercepts and touches at the centre pass. Kalangadoo's goal shooter Kori Collins posi oned herself as a focal point in a ack and contributed to Kalangadoo going into the main break with a 31 goal lead. At half me Kongorong made a couple of changes including switching Tilah Buckingham into goal shooter and bringing on the fresh legs of Evie Sealey into goal a ack. The switch of Buckingham into the goal shoo ng posi on allowed some long passes from Kongorong, which were evenly contested by Kalangadoo's Reanna Wetherall. Riley Buckingham made an impact defensively, using her speed to take some ming intercepts. The final quarter saw a high work rate from both teams and Kalangadoo's circle defence con nued to work hard and made the most of rebounding opportuni es. Kalangadoo were able to convincingly run the game out strongly to finish 78 goals to Kongorong 33. Best players -Kalangadoo: Abbey Duncan, Lauren Kain; Kongorong: Rach Perry, Lynley Page. Mt Burr 39 lost to Glencoe 43 Glencoe started the game strongly with their defensive pressure all over the court forcing Mt Burr to have to work hard for every possession. Glencoe came out with a more pa ent approach to the game with Donna Jaeschke feeding Markiewicz with great passing, allowing her to shoot with accuracy. Edwards con nuing to apply defensive pressure. Glencoe extended their lead, winning this quarter by 4. The final quarter was played with great intensity with both sides trying to get the break and have the upper hand on the game. Heidi Clark had intense pressure over the ball and crea ng turnovers by reading the play in Glencoe's a ack. Clark and Schultz also assisted Hagge and Dean by limi ng opportuni es for their a ack line into the circle. This allowed Hagge to restrict Glencoe's goalies from having easy shots. Mt Burr made the most of their defensive turnovers feeding their goalies well and pu ng on scoreboard pressure. Mt Burr le their run from behind too late in the game and were unable to get the win. Best players - Mount Burr: Laura Schultz, Madison Hagge ; Glencoe: Ashlea Edwards, Chloe Pfitzner. Nangwarry 32 lost to Hatherleigh 63 Hatherleigh came out firing turning over the first two centre passes. Erin Watson and Tegan Telfer worked the ball with ease into their goalies who were able to capitalise on these opportuni es. Nangwarry started to find their feet, with an intercept from Shannon Higgins and great movement from Kylie Heaver and Tahlia Wilson they were able to get on the board. Hatherleigh's defenders Demi Vanderhorst and Lara MacGregor were working relessly pu ng the pressure on Nangwarry's goalies, turning over every opportunity they could. Accurate shoo ng from Maddie Redman and Abby Wight saw Hatherleigh go into the first break with a 6 goal lead. Nangwarry made a change this quarter, seeing Ange Pra come off the court unwell and Cassie Dinnison coming on in goals. Hatherleigh once again came out strong though. Georgia Hunter was applying some great pressure and making it extremely hard for Nangwarry to bring the ball down the court. Dinnison created some great space for Nangwarry and worked well with Wilson to convert any opportuni es Nangwarry had. Hatherleigh's defensive pressure down the court was strong and Watson and Telfer con nued to work hard to create space and pass into their goalies perfectly. Shannon Higgins and Carly Ploenges worked relessly trying to stop Redman and Wight, but they once again shot with high accuracy. Hatherleigh were able to build on their lead and they went into half me with a 14 goal lead. No changes were made for either team and this quarter proved to be a li le more even. Nangwarry started strong with an intercept from Ebony Lawson, which allowed their goalies to capitalise on this. Hayley Burner was having a great tussle in the middle with
Erin Watson, both bringing the ball down the court well for their teams. Higgins and Ploenges con nued to work hard in defence, applying some great pressure and turning over any opportuni es they could. Both teams' goalies worked hard scoring once again with high accuracy. Although it was a very even quarter Hatherleigh was s ll able to extend the lead they already had. Hatherleigh stepped it up a notch in the last quarter turning over the first centre pass. An intercept from Hunter saw them able to get the ball into their goalies with ease. Nangwarry made a few errors which Hatherleigh were able to capitalise on. Wight was a key focal point in the goal circle for Hatherleigh shoo ng with high accuracy and crea ng great space for Watson and Telfer to pass into her. Nangwarry con nued to run out the game, but Hatherleigh proved too strong for the home side, taking the win by 31 goals. Best players - Nangwarry: Tahlia Wilson, Ebony Lawson; Hatherleigh: Maddie Redman, Georgia Hunter. Robe 40 lost to Tantanoola 53 With an important game for both sides, a win was up for grabs with Robe si ng third and Tantanoola si ng fourth on the ladder it was going to be a tough ba le. Tant came out strong with a great first quarter. Emma Gould and Jami Walker were combining well for Tant in the goal circle, making it hard for Robe's defenders Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins. Robe found it hard to se le in their goal circle, with some inaccurate shoo ng. Tant were in the lead by 8 goals at the first break. In the second quarter Robe gained some confidence and momentum with some great pressure all over the court, Robe's Halle Carter and Annie Hunter were ge ng their hands to many balls and conver ng their turnovers into goals with Robe's goalies Tori Gluyas and Sarah Laurie shoo ng with confidence and accuracy. This saw them win the quarter by 6 goals, with Tant being up by 2 goals at the half me break. With neither team making changes at half me, Tant once again came out strong and took control. Defenders Tayla Rowe and Kate Bromley made it hard for Robe's goalies to capitalise on their turnovers.
