allen makes senior debut for hawks James 'Tex' Allen played his first Senior Game for Kongorong against Nangwarry in round 13. Tex is a very exci ng young player whose speed is un-catchable, and with ball in-hand, his decision making is second to none. He’s a player who works up and down the ground all day long, and has the ability to take a strong contested mark. Tex has a great football future ahead of him.

A big thank you to our auc oneers for our Dinner Auc on, Liam and Jordan, hilariously entertaining and with all our donated items the club had a very successful night. Thanks also to the donors of the auc on items, your support it greatly appreciated as always. A er the Robe game we will host the Miss Kongorong Pageant, one definitely not to be missed! Bound to be some shocking spray tans and less than a rac ve fashion on display, with evening wear, sportswear and swimwear categories being contested. From the Nangwarry game: Under 11s: It was perfect condi ons for playing footy at Nangwarry. There were some excep onal passages of play when we handled the ball out of the pack, which resulted in some goals for us. We con nued to tackle well and include all our teammates. Thank you to the kids who played for Nangwarry so we could play an even numbered game. Awards: Intersport Dusty Cooper, Graham & Ange Award Charlie Lasle , Angelino Family Award Angus Maidment, Coaches Award - Iziah Hunt, Club Award - Mac Brant and Donut King - Van Byron. Junior Colts: A late withdrawal from one of our bigger lads and we headed down the road to take on a Saints side that have been playing some good footy, and brought in a few handy South players. The first half was a real ba le as we struggled to get our normal running game going and saw at the half me break, both teams were goalless and a few points each. Heading into the third we switched a few things around and managed to get the game opened up and started playing the quality footy that we have become accustomed too. Our backline once again strong over the four quarters and only allowed one goal through and went about their job with minimal fuss. Was a good hit out for the group and shows how important it is to be persistent, back judgment and believe in what we have been working on so far this season as this will hold them well. Best players and awards went to Declan Richardson - Rarcoola Structural Award, Ryan Lucas - Rocks Shop Award, Rhys Newton - Spot-On Fishing Award, Blake Telford - Mick Mullan Award, Cur s Page Coaches Award, Jacob Gordon - Janeway Plumbing Award. Another big challenge ahead as we look to take on an everimproving young Robe side. Senior Colts: It was a great day for footy, to say the least, down at Nangwarry last weekend... with the sun shining! The boys had a solid session on the track last week leading up to this game with some strong midfield work ge ng drilled into them, work-rate for us around the ground was going to be a must with such a wide ground. The team all round played some of the best footy I've seen this year. Their crea vity and ball movement was absolutely fantas c, it was good to see so many smiling faces on the ground as well. A happy team will win games! First best and the Ma hews Petroleum Award, was Toby McKinnon, kicking 4 ripper goals! Toby is improving out of sight each week and is a great team player. MT Wheels second best was Maverick Cooper, our clearance king! Third

3rd qtr

was Brodie Von Stanke-Dowie with the Swallow Drive Meats Award! He moved up out of his normal posi on at full forward this week for a run through the middle and showed some excellent run, fourth was William Von Stanke (Mick Mullan Award) who did his usual ge ng plenty of the ball and ge ng down in and under, fi h we had Shak Von Stanke (Coach's Award) who showed some strong leads and marks in the forward 50 and sixth we had our first gamer in the senior colts Rhys Newton (Badenoch's Deli Award) who showed great second efforts all day and it definitely won't be his last game any me soon! With a week off for some well-earned rest, we'll be ready to take on the Roosters at home! Go Hawks Reserves: When anyone plays a milestone game for our club it's important. When that person has grown up at the club it is an even greater opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the achievement and the journey. If you grow up at a local footy club, when you're young the senior players are just as big a hero as the guys you see on TV in the AFL. All you want to do is play senior football and become part of the legend you grow up dreaming about. From the moment Jack Mullan pulled on the boots for our great club he has been a legend. Not blessed with speed or a big leap, Jack needed to find another way to get it done. Luckily, and in no small part due to his abili es, Mull was smarter and more football gi ed than most. With the brains to get to the right spot and the skills to make the ball almost talk, he became a prolific possession accumulator, goal kicker and match winner. Jack’s 100th senior game against Nangwarry had all his genius on show and it was great to get the win for a guy who grew up with yellow and black in his veins. Well done Mull. The boys played a real solid game against tough opponents and we had some really great passages of play. As long as we keep working on ge ng it right we will con nue to improve. Oscar Phillip took out the Commercial Hotel Award, Lachie Pulford the Collins Court Butcher, Jack Mullan got the first Club Tea Award, Wayne A will the Pick Avenue Deli, and Dan Hann the other Club Tea Award with seven goals! Seniors: The boys started the game off strong, which is something we've been struggling with, which was good to see. Nangwarry had their moments throughout the game, but was good to have the boys not drop their heads and let them back in, and in turn the flow of the game back to favour us. Another pleasing aspect was to kick away with more goals a er we were in front. Corben O'Dea was fearless in the backline taking home the Bellum Hotel Award. Fraser Brewster's return saw him in fine form to receive the Commercial Hotel Award, and the Collins Court Butcher Award going to Michael Waters in third best. Ma Cordy also another to come back in to the side and the Club Tea Award along with Aaron 'Kouta' Lightbody who con nues to thrive in his new role. Tommy Hunter rounding out the best on the day with another solid effort. Reminder to get your Coola ckets paid for... see Brad or Emily or pay at the bar... Giddy up!

Junior Colts: Last round we had the tough task of taking on Glencoe. They are si ng second on the ladder and we knew it was going to be a tough game going in. It didn’t help when a few of our senior players were away which is what happens during school holidays. We let them jump us and they got away to a 7 goal lead at quarter me. I asked for effort and physicality at the first break and to the boys credit they ba led away and made it a lot harder for them to score. Although not kicking a score for the game I was proud of the boys efforts a er qtr me. We look forward now to Kongorong who are also one of the elite in the 14's but we are up for the challenge. Senior Colts: A er coming off a tough game against Hatherleigh the week before, the boys were keen to take it up to Glencoe at home. Perfect condi ons let us play the brand of football we want to play, and we did just that. All the things we prac ce at training are really star ng to show out on the field. At the final siren the scores were Robe 30.11 to Glencoe no score. Major goal scorers were Joel Bryant with 11 goals and Codee Weston with 6 goals. Best players were Joel Bryant, Raj Legoe, Kaiden Carter, Ollie Hagge and Mason Keane. Steve’s Place player incen ve went to Joel Bryant and Denton's Sportspower player incen ve to Seb Moore. We look forward to taking on a tough Kongorong ou it away, it should be game of the round. Reserves: We played Glencoe at home and were beaten by a be er side. Last week we had a bye due to Country Champs so we are back this week to take on Kongorong away. The best players went to Ant Kokiousis, 2nd qtr

3rd qtr

Kane Cross, Simon Ferguson, Elroy Samuels, Chris Burdon and James Kokiousis. A Grade: With a big loss the week before at the hands of Hatherleigh, the Robe boys were determined to get back on the winners list at home. The game was an opportunity to go from 5th to 4th with a big win. From the outset the Robe boys looked the goods, taking the game on and taking advantage of the slight breeze to their favour. The Robe boys went into the quarter me break 2 goals up. In the 2nd, Glencoe came out firing kicking 6 goals to Robe's 2. Glencoe's midfield started to take control with Thomas Edwards and Dylan Childs racking up damaging clearances. This gave them a 27-point lead heading into the half me break. The game would be decided in the second half with the Robe boys needing a big turnaround. Jed Jarre for Robe was up to the task leading up hard and kicking 2 goals of his own. The young players of Robe were ready and pumped with Joel Bryant and Ollie Hagge having an influence. Unfortunately, Robe's turnovers were costly with Glencoe rebounding off half back to score quickly. Glencoe were running away with the win and piled on another 8 goals to Robe's 1. Robe's tough nuts Tom Williams and Jordan Pe t ba led all day and gave us plenty of intensity. Glencoe penetrated their forward 50 on mul ple occasions. Robe's Brodie Foulds was under the pump at full back and managed to take a few important marks. Glencoe ran away with a 65 point victory and a disappoin ng loss for Robe. This week we take on Kongorong at their home deck and a must win game to keep our finals hopes alive. 4th qtr

A Grade: A er a really tough game against Kalangadoo, the senior boys looked to bounce back against Mt Burr, a team that is on the same part of the ladder and are making a strong move towards finals ac on. A er le ng Mt Burr ge ng an early lead the boys spent the rest of the game chasing Mt Burr and in the heavier condi ons it was always going to be a tough ask but they gave it the absolute all but were unable to close the gap and fell only one point short. Best for the week were Brandon Newton, Mark Smith, Ned Wilke, Tim Sullivan, Jake Schleter and Alex Ridding. B Grade: A er a really tough season, things were looking up for the round 13 game against

Mt Burr, for the first me all year, the sheet wasn't full handwri en names, and the final part of the recrui ng wasn't done with a walk around cars before the game. So, all was looking the goods before the start of the game. A er the s rring pre-game speech from the coach, the boys headed out. Unfortunately, in a gallant and courageous display they were unable to quite get across the line to take the win. In an encouraging sign there was a strong discussion about maybe training in the future weeks, in the hunt for the first win. Best for the week were Tyrese Newton, Daniel Fisher, Rory Na rass, Christopher Driver and William Brown.

This week I would like to thank our reless volunteers who run the behind the scenes of our great club. Many of you may not know that Plugger is at the footy from 8am Saturday morning se ng up the day, umpiring (falling off ladders). Or did you know Jenny is in the canteen at 8am making sandwiches, pu ng the hot food in the warmer and it is here she stays most weeks ll at least 8pm a er she has finished cooking teas and cleaning the kitchen, the same goes with Joanne, and Ben. So next me you think nah they don't need a hand please know that they are grateful for that hour you may offer so they can go to the toilet, grab a bite to eat, sit down for 5 for a rest or watch their own children, or grandchildren play netball or footy!

APEC Cleaning Services are a Mount Gambier owned and operated mul purpose cleaning business, servicing the South East of South Australia and Western Victoria region for over 50 years. Having local General Managers who own and operate the business is a key benefit of u lising our service. Please catch up with Assistant Tas if you need a cleaning service! Junior Colts: We faced the toughest challenge in the Junior Colt's compe on up against an undefeated Kongorong side. We had the assistance of 4 players from South Gambier so thanks again to South for helping with our low numbers. With these players we had our best line up for the year and really took it up to the Hawks with scores level at half me with neither side kicking a goal. To the Hawks credit they stepped up the pressure in the 3rd to hit the scoreboard a

few mes. We kept figh ng and had some great passages of play and didn't give up ll the final siren going down by 21pts which is an amazing turnaround from the first round. Best players were Harry, Calais, Benne , Mason, and Jobe and Merlin. Men ons also to Deklan and Josh who played great games. Senior Colts: We welcomed back a few players that have been missing for the last few games. Unfortunately for us this was probably the only good news that came out of the week as the game itself was one for us to forget. Kongorong showed us why they are in the top 3 and showed us exactly how much work we have to do to start climbing the ladder. Best players were Reilly, Archer, Calais, Brandon and Harry. I do want to commend Reilly Edwards on his game and his massive improvement throughout this season. He is regularly ba ered from pillar to post but gets back up and goes to the next contest. Reilly sets the standard of which more of his teammates need to follow. Keep up your good work Reilly. B Grade: Hi all, on a posi ve note congratula ons to Tamara on playing 250 games. The seconds had a fantas c chance to move closer to the top four but it wasn't to be. The back line played their heart out, with the ball constantly coming in. We are s ll an outside chance to make the finals but we need people out to training and not pulling out at the last minute. Thanks for Hayden Stewart for stepping up to help out. Best: Chappo, Sco , Craig, Millsy, Josh C, Hayden S, Jayden. Goals: Jordan 2, Josh C 2, Sco 1, Jayden 1. A Grade: Our boys had another slow start not kicking a goal in the first. We fought hard in the second to stay in touch and went in a similar margin down at the half me break as it was at quarter me. In the third we started well and went into the last quarter a few goals down and s ll in touch. Unfortunately due to our slow start we wasted a lot of energy up to that point and Kongorong ran all over us. A big thanks to the Kongorong Football Club who had a big number of players/supporters back into our club.

kalangadoo MOUNT BURR

Round 12 saw us take on Port Mac in 2 must win clashes in the Senior Grades. A boggy winter's day made for some great contested, hard footy across the 4 grades. Under 11: The li le tackers were back in a big way, on the field they were superb. Our Mini Magpies are star ng to gel together nicely. There is a great core group of players. Their skills are superb. Well done to coaches Boxy and Tys! This week you'll see our Under 11s decked out in their new playing strips, kindly sponsored by Auld Drilling. Junior Colts: The kids came up against a bigger, hungrier Port Mac who ran out winners by a comfortable 100 points. The development of this young group of kids is s ll of the utmost importance and regardless of the opposi on or state of play. Macca and his team are doing an outstanding job at developing these kids into good young footballers and good people. Well done on a very compe ve game, keep working hard and striving for the best. Senior Colts: The boys racked up their another win for the season. Complete contrast to their 1st win, Kdoo ran out victors by 40 points. Tommy has the boys playing an exci ng brand of footy. It's great to see a er a few lean years that all the development and hard work is star ng to pay dividends. 4 Senior Colts have already played A Grade footy this year, which is a true testament to their a tude across the pre-season and early part of the season.

and the team. Everyone is being prepared to play out of posi on and take me on the bench so that everyone is able to get some game me. This week we look forward to the game against Mount Burr which have tradi onally been hard fought contests. Seniors: The Senior boys had a pre y comfortable win in our Grand Final rematch. Unlike the Ressies, the Senior side took a li le while to warm into this game. Taking no credit away from Port Mac who brought the heat. They used each other well and pressured our ball carriers. A er quarter me we kicked into gear and played a more familiar style of footy, our short hit up game and pressure footy stood up when it ma ered and we eventually ran out victors by 96 points. Well played and well ground out! The Kalangadoo Football Club prides itself on its long and rich history; that we are a founding member of the Mid South East Football League, and those who come to play or to volunteer, find themselves as life me Magpies. We all know that there is something very special about the environment, integrity, community and most importantly the people of the Kalangadoo Football Club, hence the reason for ini a ng a Past Players and Officials group - CLUB 1927. kalangadoo MOUNT BURR

Junior Colts: Last round we travelled down to Port Mac for another big challenge. The boys were up and about early leading at half me and playing a good style of football. Unfortunately Port Mac pulled away in the second half but our boys played really well as a team unit again. I thought our boys played the condi ons well as well, the oval was quite so in places and our boys played well considering. A big thank you to Jason and his boys for filling in with low numbers again, good to see all the kids get a game. Best players for us were Deklan Brant, Heath Johnston, Charlie Bevan, Levi Thiele, Jayden Garner, Logan Carr. We’ll have the week off and prepare for our next match against Kalangadoo. Cheers Tom Senior Colts: Last round we travelled down the bay and came away with a convincing win. The boys played some good footy considering the condi ons. Best players were Trey Norton Li le who burrowed in hard all game, Brock Sandow was solid in the middle, Bradlee Lawson pressured hard all game, Charlie Bevan swung forward and kicked a few goals, Kallan Bevan set up plenty of a ack and also worked hard in defence and Arley Rigney is finding his feet and never gave up. B Grade: Great condi ons greeted us as we arrived at Port Mac for the bo om of the table clash. Despite the ladder posi ons of both teams, the game was played with lots of skill and a ferocious a ack on the ball. We took the most of our opportuni es and kicked straight early to take a 15 point buffer into quarter me. Port Mac came at us hard in the second and closed the gap to 3 points before we responded with mul ple goals. In the end the first quarter advantage turned 2nd qtr

out to be about the difference between the two teams. I was very proud of the team, especially in the last quarter, where we had no players le on the bench. Tommy Hales despite having to leave for work during the game was our best player with 6 goals. Shawn Evans in only his second game for the Burr was amazing in the centre, Jack Francis and Jayden Poulish con nued their strong form in the backline and our leadership duo of Frazer Johnson and Zac Gray led from the front. A Grade: Sun was out in Pt Mac and barely any rain, can’t ask for much more than that! Great to come away with the slimmest of margins win, a great job by the boys to grind that one out to the end. A er ge ng a good start Pt Mac came back as we knew they would and certainly made it a tough contest for the day. The boys are looking forward to having a week’s rest and then back into it vs Kalangadoo a er the break. Best players for the day were 1. Big Murph for his ruckwork all day and pushing through to the final siren, 2. Captain Fiebs for his usual brilliance, run and composure, 3. Dyl Ridz for his electrifying first quarter and con nual work throughout the day, 4. Jimmy Wal for doing Big Jimmy things and doing them well, 5. Knife who played a solid day down back and provided plenty of support and direc on, and 6. Mr Swag himself who was dangerous around goals and up the field a er ge ng shown up by Josh Wallis last week (who kicked 6). Congrats and well deserved to Sam Wallis on making the Zone team again this year, we wish you all the best. See you all a er the bye. Go Burr! 4th qtr

Last game we travelled to Robe and came away with 3 wins from the 4 games. Junior Colts: The Junior Colts played extremely well keeping the opposi on scoreless and winning by 96 points. Ruby Buckley kicked 5 goals and best players were Lachlan Brierley, Tighe Hurley, Tyrone Siebert, Ruby Buckley, Kallan Price and Declan Mutch. Senior Colts: The Senior Colts were missing a few key players and came up against the top and undefeated Robe side. Unfortunately, it was us who were held scoreless in this game. We went down 191 to 0. Best players were Digby Richards-Fennell, Bailey Rothall, Brodie Pfitzner, Aidan Hurley and Patrick Langsmith. Reserves: The Reserves con nued their strong form and beat the 3rd placed side to now jump to outright 3rd ourselves. With 4 games le we aim to hold onto a finals berth. We came away with a 60-point win. Best players

were Trent Hawke, Ben Curran, Marcus McGrath, Tory Weaver, Lachlan Hoch and Adam Pulford. Seniors: A er a slow first quarter the Seniors clicked into gear and played an amazing brand of fast paced footy which has been missing for most of the year. 3 excellent weeks in a row should give the team some confidence for the last part of the season, especially knocking off a finals team like Robe. We came away with a 65-point win. Best players were Tom Edwards, Dylan Childs, Patrick Mitchell, Zacc Cocks, Henry Smith and Andrew Gray. A er a week off we play Tantanoola at home this weekend and host our premiership reunion weekend for a range of grades and years. It will be great to see so many old faces back at the club to hear stories from years past. We also have our Auc on Night in the clubrooms a er the game star ng around 8pm.

Casserole Tea and Buddy Night – 28th July Team photos are happening Saturday 30th July – Kongorong game Junior Presenta on – Sunday 11th September (a er Prelim Final) Senior Presenta on date hasn't been set as yet. Under 11: The weather turned one on for us last game, the sun was out and everyone keen to play. We had Harley, Kobe and Charlie Bromley play to help the kids as Hatherleigh have plenty of top age kids. Was great to see them playing ge ng lots of the ball and helping the younger ones get involved. The kids were playing great football and we even extended the oval nearly 3/4 length of the full oval which gave them plenty of space and seemed to flow the game be er. Awards went to Jobe Bell, Jack Rowe, Jack Sporer and Sophie Sporer.

against a much bigger Hatherleigh side last game. We started off a bit flat footed but improved a er that. Keep s cking together boys, we have a lot of really young kids with great a tudes, over the next couple of years we are all gonna grow and improve. Best players where Kaden Bell, Jayden Hunter, Eli Bowman, Jake Bevan and Ethan Hales. Senior Colts: With the Hatherleigh Eagles at Tiger land, the boys really wanted to ruffle some feathers and that they did. We came out with our serious faces on and our best start to a game for the season. Be er players for the game were Ellis, Cade, Sam, Braydn's Hateley and Rowe. Reserves: Big challenge against Hatherleigh and unfortunately we were just outplayed by the top of the ladder side. A lot of good plays to take away from the game and trying players in new spots. Best on ground was Sco Bowering playing terrific in the midfield, other bests were Chris McCallum, Brad Williams, Nathan Chapple, Zane Walker and Cooper Hamilton. www.tantanoolafootballclub. spor ngpulse.net Find us on Facebook: Tantanoola Football and Netball Club

A GRADE NETBALL PREVIEW - ROUND 14 Kongorong v Robe Kongorong host Robe on Saturday and the young Hawks side will make the Roosters earn their win. Tilah Buckingham's height makes it easy for Kate Wright and Tori McIntyre to feed the ball from outside the circle. Robe's Halle Carter has stepped into the goal circle and is shoo ng with accuracy, earning her GA bib, and combining well with Sarah Laurie. Emma Grant and Ellen Ramke work relessly in the defensive circle for Robe and will make Buckingham and Evie Sealey earn every goal. Down the other end of the court Riley Buckingham and Emily Lightbody will keep the pressure on for Robe's goalies, doing their best to shut down any scoring opportuni es. Despite a strong fight from Kongorong the Roosters will come away with the win.

Port MacDonnell v Nangwarry The Saints head down to the Bay for a wet game on Saturday, ready to face off against the Demons. Port Mac will be looking to increase their percentage with another good win against Nangwarry. Kirby Carrison and Toni Gilmore move well together in the goal circle and are both accurate shooters, meaning that Nangwarry's defenders Shannon Higgins and Carly Ploenges will have to work over me to shut down any passes into the circle and limit scoring opportuni es. The tussle between Liza Mutch and Ebony Lawson through the midcourt will be one to watch. Port Mac's Jess Lynch will have to work hard to shut down the drive from Kylie Heaver onto the circle for the Saints, where she can then feed the ball accurately into her goalies. The Demons will finish the game with the points.

Kalangadoo v Mount Burr The Magpies host Mount Burr this weekend in what is set to be the match of the round. A er a well fought ba le in round 5 the Mozzies will be looking to redeem themselves and will bring the fight to Kalangadoo. Mount Burr's Ebony Clark is a focal point in the goal circle and will be fed with accuracy from outside the circle by Meg Fennell and Laura Schultz. Kalangadoo defenders Lauren Kain and Reanna Wetherall will combine well to force errors into the circle and pick off any loose balls. Down the other end of the court Magpies Kori Collins and Abbey Duncan are incredibly accurate in the circle, and Mount Burr's Madi Hagge and Olivia Dean will have to work hard to curb their influence. This match is set to be another close one, with either team able to come away with the win.

Glencoe v Tantanoola A er a close game against Hatherleigh last weekend Tantanoola will be heading into Saturday's game with fire in their bellies ready to ba le it out against Glencoe. Glencoe's Jenna Paproth and Malinda Markiewicz combine well and shoot with accuracy in the goal circle, however Tant's Kate Bromley and Tayla Rowe will force turnovers and secure any possible loose balls. Donna Jaeschke's ability to move the ball seamlessly down the court will benefit the Murphies and will be a hard one to stop. Emma Gould and Jami Walker's shoo ng and moving within the circle, and their feeding from Casey Walker on the circle will make it hard for Glencoe's defenders to get any turnovers. However, Sarah Edwards and Chantelle Cocks are skilled at crea ng pressure and forcing mistakes from their opposi on. A er a tough game, Glencoe will come away with the points again, however the Tigers aren't going to go down without a fight.

NETball club notes Junior 1: Kongorong J1's played their hearts out. The first quarter was slow but with sharp shoo ng from Flick and Havvi with rebounds and intercep ons didn't take long for the ball to be overturned along with Zoe, Holly, Claire, Isabelle, Zayley and Sophie. Lily played a quick but steady game in centre. Best players went to the whole team as we were unstoppable. Well done girls! Vouchers were Baker’s Delight and Hungry Jack’s. 13 & Under: We would have to call this our best game yet. As the game progressed, the girls worked harder and stronger as a team, coming closer and closer to matching Nangwarry's goals. Lacey and Rahni worked as a fantas c pair in goals, with Molly very strong in her defence down the other end. Best players were Lacey Walpole with $10 thanks to the Angelino family and Harmoni Kent with a $5 Kongorong canteen voucher. Very proud of all the girls efforts! 15 & Under: Another good team effort, with our defenders working really hard, we s ll need to just watch our footwork again, thank you to Rhani and Paige for filling in for us. Awards: Donut King - Hayley and Kyla. 17 & Under: The girls played really well being able to help increase our percentage for the ladder, we hope it's enough to help us get our way into the finals. The girls played very polished netball, making sure to fix our small errors from previous weeks to help dy ourselves up leading into the Robe game which will be a tough contest. Best players went to Pheobe Beare (Fasta Pasta) and Evie Sealey (Lima and Co). B Reserve: Well done girls, you all played our own game

NETball club notes and didn't get swept into the other teams play. Tamika and Alex shot well along with Elly who shot well all day earning her the Lima & Co award. Alisha, Nat, Stacey and Macy were feeding the ball well in mid court and Courtney and Le a worked hard in defence. Alisha played a half but worked well earning her the Crave Dessert Bar award. B Grade: Girls you guys were awesome. Amazing shoo ng by Sarah and Emalee earning them Vanity and F45. Jess started in C controlling the play, Milla, Macy and Alisha ran the centre court well and Billie and Maddie worked hard in defence. Thanks so much to Macy and Alisha for filling in for us. Awards: Sarah (Commercial Hotel) and Emalee (Lima and Co). A Reserve: A great start to the game taking control and capitalising on our turnovers. From last round we improved on our transi on down the court and converted our turnovers. A last quarter grind to gain momentum back and take the win. Let’s refresh and come back firing against Robe. Best players: Megan (The Springs Crea ve) and Heidi (Vanity). A Grade: Woohoo! We deserved this girls, weeks of consistent games and having a proper crack at trainings have built to four full quarters of quality netball and a win under our belts. I'm so proud of everyone for playing their roles and working through surges of dips in momentum. Best on went to Sarah Lucas (Commercial Hotel) and Tori McIntyre (Lima and Co) but could have gone to everyone for their efforts and consistency. Let’s use this to push ourselves into the back end of the season and take it up to our opposi on these next couple of weeks.

Junior 2: Cancelled Junior 1: Cancelled 13 & Under: Robe 20 Glencoe 51. Another great effort by the under 13s. We started off strong, keeping up with Glencoe for the first half. We were super impressed by the efforts of our fill-ins; Tilly Schubert, Zoe Vearing, Saskia Warren and Scarle Ferguson. A massive thanks to these girls. Unfortunately, our second half let us down, however most of the girls kept their heads up high which is what we like to see. The team really adapted to a whole new netball side which was super impressive. There's always room for improvement so we will be con nuing to work on our fitness and enthusiasm. It will be great to see the girls get some fight into them, or as we now like to say some “shaz” into them and have fun out on the court. Special thanks to Aleisha Hawkins who is moving, she has really improved and been an asset to our team. Millie Fennel took away best player (The Pastry Place) where she showed her strength within goalie posi ons. Kaitley Brooks took away incen ve (Salubrious Smoothies) for her consistent strength throughout the mid court the en re game. 15 & Under: Robe 35 Glencoe 28. Great win girls and with so many out we s ll managed a win. Was great to have you all in posi ons and not having to change! Everyone played so well and played a consistent 4 quarters. Tilley and Stella made it hard for the goalies to get the ball into their goal circle, crea ng mul ple turnovers. Jenna drove well and con nued re-offer at WD. Emily and Georgie played a strong game at C and WA, feeding well and crea ng space to drive into. Lucy and Kiana combined well together in goals, shoo ng well, and learning to work together. Big thanks to Millie for si ng bench and when she had to come on played like a trooper! Best player (Robe Seafood & Takeaway) went to Emily for her great performance at C bea ng her opposi on and crea ng numerous turnovers. Incen ve (Union Café) went to Stella for her great game at GK keeping her player out of the game. 17 & Under: Robe 36 Glencoe 24. To say that our last game was stressful would be an understatement. No one likes to see a player go down on the court especially one of your own (or your own sister). Libby you're extremely brave and your courage to put your body on the line every game for your team is remarkable. A BIG thank you to Glencoe's Melinda and Mrs President Mackey for assis ng with Libby and keeping her safe before the ambos made it. We would be lost without beau ful volunteers and our trained medical

officers. Now back to the game, what a solid team performance by everyone! As I said on the day, I needed an award for you all. We all li ed together and even a er losing one of our own, we kept a level head and pushed through to secure the win. Maisie played a solid game through the C, controlling the game and had great talk on the court earning best player (Union Café). Incen ve (Loaves & Fishes) went to Ella who kept a level headed and had confidence in herself - we back baby! With a week off let's not lose this momentum and keep this up for the weeks to come. We've got a long slog to finals but we know we can do it and you know you can do it too! Bring on Kongorong. B Reserve: Robe 18 Glencoe 58. Once again our girls played with heart against a top 4 side. The defence really gave their all, resul ng in Rhiannon with her first Calcu a (Retail Therapy) and Mandz the extra coaches voucher. We are s ll lacking a li le in the goalie area. It will be something to work on over the next week before we front Kongorong. We were lucky to have Billie Carter on the bench to rest red legs, and a er captain Robbie decided that doing the splits was the thing to do, Billie kept the flow going through the middle proving to be an invaluable player. A highlight was Bai in GS. Having played as a junior goalie, it was me to have a go. 3 goals! Great effort and winning incen ve (Denton Sportspower). A li le dip at the end of the second, the girls responded to the coaches half me yak and promptly li ed across the court resul ng in be er determina on for all. B Grade: Robe 16 Glencoe 78. Best player (Holiday) – Mahalia BathurstWarren; Incen ve (Pure Luxe) – Emma Brooks. A Reserve: Robe 58 Glencoe 38. What a great win guys, was a tough game and didn't feel like the gap was that big in the end, 20 goal win was well deserved. We fought hard and li ed when we needed to, changing pace and adjus ng the way we played. The best thing we have so much fun doing it too! Smiles all round! Calcu a (Retail Therapy) Kim Ross; Incen ve (Me & Miss Jones) Keelin Winterfield. A Grade: Robe 42 Glencoe 42. What a well fought game! Such a great team game! I know we didn't come away with the win, but the next thing is a draw. I was so proud of our determina on and fight. Everyone li ed when they needed to and backed each other up for a great team game with confidence in ourselves and each other. Calcu a went to Emma Grant (Steve's Pace) and incen ve (Loaves & Fishes) went to Lucy Perkins.

port macdonnell NETball club notes Junior 1: Good game girls, our footwork let us down again all over the court. Something to work on at training. Great game to Addi in GD and Lily for great moving in WA. Best player went to Emily for not stepping all game, she took home the Donut King award. Junior 2: Mt Burr were very strong and were hard to beat. Although the game was very scrappy, the girls did do some great passages of plays towards to start of the second quarter. We just need to focus a li le more at training to get the basics. Well done girls though you girls are improving so much! Best players Zaria, you played very well where ever I put you, keep up the good work. Second best Skyla who is our li le speedy girl who got many turnovers. You girls both have a bright future ahead! Keep up the good work Juniors 2's! 13 & Under: Well done girls, wasn't the greatest start but we got there in the end, to start with our passes were all over the place and our leads were very late, quarter me we came in and we set a goal we wanted to play our game and our speed, there was a lot of encouragement going into the second quarter and the back up all over court was amazing. We are improving so much as individuals and as a team. There is a bit to work on when doing court plays but we are slowing ge ng the hang of it, it definitely shows when we have a good warm up we play so well so let's keep up the great work and come out hard and wan ng to finish the season on top. Great game by all - fought very hard and kept our heads held high throughout the whole game. Best players went to Lillian Pe ngill (Boost Juice), Isla Fulham (Wendy's). 15 & Under: We are so close girls! We are really star ng to put our prac ce into play and it's really showing. Parade Fish Shop best players - Ali strong solid game in defence, Lillie awesome work slipping into goals. Thanks for the though ul gi , you're a beau ful bunch of young ladies. Keep up the good work and we'll get that win soon. 17 & Under: With yet again another new line up, it was no secret we had to re-work our plays and transi on. Despite the changes, we managed to have some good smooth transi ons on play which is great. Unfortunately when we start to fall behind we lose our confidence in ourselves and our teammates. We know what we are capable of we just have to believe in it and ourselves to push out 4 consistent quarters, and to remember that a game is never lost un l the final whistle of the game. Tamzyn was a game changer for us, seeing what needed to be done, and doing nothing but ge ng it done. Playing catch up all game was not ideal, but credit to you girls for being 10 down and coming back to e the game for the final result. From doing this just know you can come back, always. Let’s rebuild with yet again another new line-up against Nangas and rebuild. Well done girls. B Reserve: Thank you, U/15's and U/17's that help, make up our team against Mt Burr. You all did a wonderful job, I'm very proud on been given this

nangwarry NETball club notes

opportunity to work with you all. Jazzy you played wherever I placed you with guts and determina on. Which is why Jazzy you received the Victoria Hotel Shipwreck Bistro Award. We started this game off too slow which made it difficult to catch up. We had focus in the 2nd and 3rd but s ll couldn't make up the gap. An extra push from everyone may have got us there. Once everyone's back, we need to start ge ng se led and focused. Fiona received the Bay Pizzaria Voucher your hard work throughout the whole game is a pleasure to watch. B Grade: It was a strong and impressive start to our game. Everyone worked hard to establish posi ons, did their job and turned ball over. The court was well balanced and everyone did their preliminary work to gain and maintain possession. A solid four quarters played by all. Kelly stepped up and played in defence and worked extremely well with Rachel. The combina on worked relessly together and was supported by the defensive pressure of Georgia on the circle’s edge. Rachel's ability to read and intercept the ball was wonderful to watch. It was brilliant to see the hard drives through mid court down to the a acking end. Kelly and Georgia providing a great link to the a ack line. Balls skills and execu on was evident, as the ball was moved beau fully around the a acking circle by De and Candice. Posi on crea vely around the circle for the advantage of the goalies to find post. Jess ran hard and drive well into space to open up the goal ring, followed up with beau ful shots. Elivia and Jess were strong at the ball and protected each other under the ring. They worked extremely well together and had some excellent ming to the ball. It's such a joy to see the skills and plays we work on at training are implemented in our game. Proud of you all. Well done girls. Awards: Rachel Johnstone - Lima & Co and Chemist King, Jess Grigg Shipwreck Bistro Victorian Hotel Port MacDonnell. A Reserve: Great win girls and well deserved. A great team effort all over the court. Izzy and Kaitlyn were solid as always in defence, while Montanna chipped away hard to shut down her opponent. Our li le Iz was consistent as alway recognising her med moves. An impressive performance from Keyarnah in a new posi on in WA and Cody and Sarah combined beau fully in goals shoo ng and moving well. A posi ve outcome with a posi ve team vibe - keep growing that as a team and the results will come. Best players: Sarah Lomas and Keyarnah Smith. A Grade: With a very stop start season, we didn't do too bad considering everything. We keep figh ng right to the end and didn't let the margin blow out. Our defence worked hard all game to ensure every turnover was well treasured. Our goalies had a tough fight in the goal circle but was able to capitalise. Our mid court ran the game out providing great passages of play. We really need to focus on not forcing the ball and using the safe op on even if that means throwing behind and star ng again. Best players - Alana Winter and Brooke Williams (Victoria Hotel).

Junior 2: Good effort girls, 1st quarter wasn't great with everyone crowding the ball which makes it hard for it to flow and get it down the court. From the 2nd quarter it was much be er with some goals ge ng scored and be er passes to the person in front. We had 4 players away so it was challenging but we got there with some good play. A big thank you to Asha Dinnison, Keeley Clayfield, Aubery for filling in. Best player donated by Athlete's Foot went to Harper. Junior 1: Well done girls on giving 100% when we switched up our posi ons, with having a few away. Thank you to Zoe and Maddie for filling in and Harper for si ng bench. Great to see you backing each other up and chasing the loose balls. Well done to Darcy who had many touches and intercepts receiving the Baker’s Delight award. Well done to Aubrey on trying new posi ons in GK and GS always having her hands up over the ball, receiving the Athlete’s Foot award. 13 & Under: Great to have another win, we had a brilliant first half. In second half we eased off and although made a few changes we should have been able to maintain the defensive court pressure. We had some great passages of play and everyone had some great highlights. Hope all enjoyed the week off and ready to play as a team against Port Mac. Athlete’s Foot award Ella C for her great passing into goal circle. Baker’s Delight award Ruby for her rebounding and ge ng her hands to plenty of balls. 17 & Under: We started off slow in the first half although we had some good passages, li le things like passing just got us. In the second half we really put our foot down and had a great go. Defence worked hard to

kerb some good tall goalies. Mid court moved well and started to use their pa ence and pass ball around instead of forcing. Goalies made good posi on and moved ball around ll they were in range. Every week we keep improving girls, keep pushing, all we can ask is to improve. Keep it up. Best Montana and Kaitlin. B Reserve: Great game girls, especially with half our team out. Thank you to the 3 Jr players who stepped up to help us out, you all held your own and played amazingly. Our ball movement down the court was much be er than it has been in previous weeks and our goalies were shoo ng really well. Defence really took a hit with players out but s ll worked really hard to get some great turnovers. Best players: Scarle Black, Maddi Mitchell, Tanisha McNair. B Grade: We had some good passages of play that showed how much we have improved so far this season. Even though we had a loss the margin wasn't as big this me. Kate had some great passes in to the circle and Zoe and Bel played hard all game in defence. And Chloe ran out the whole game in centre! Great job! We had a slight change up with both Ellie and Skye playing in WA for the first me this year and you both did what I asked. We have 4 games le for the year! Let's get together! Have some fun and remember why we play netball in the first place! Best players: Chrystal Lock and Kate Clayfield. A Reserve: Well what a nail biter it really came down to the line and we fell a li le short. I am so proud of you all though girls. We had to move things around again posi on wise and it didn't really show. Our passing and pa ence in a ack was awesome and we moved the ball around well and waited for goalies to be in posi on they wanted. Defence worked hard and really came away with the turnovers in the last half ge ng us back into the game helping turn the score around. We just couldn't hold on at the end but it was a great team effort. Hold your heads high girls, you all did an awesome job. Pines Hotel award went to Taysha. A Grade: Not the result we were hoping for but we can't change that. We had some great passages of play, our passing let us down and they wanted the win more than us. Defence had a tough gig on a very tall goalie but we worked hard to stop whatever we could. Everyone did what was asked of them, we just weren't able to put it together for 4 consecu ve quarters. Don't be too disheartened ladies, it is what it is and we will keep working on improving. Speedy recovery to Tahlia, we hope it's not too serious, we are thinking of you. Thanks Cass for filling in for us again. Best players went to Kylie Heaver (Pines Hotel) and Ange Pra .

Junior 2: The J2s played a ripper li le game. They created lots of turnovers, using to whole court be er each week and crowding to one spot. A big thanks to Ma lda, Milla and Ash for helping to fill our team. Awards went to Hannah Mules for a great effort on her very first game and Adele, playing a great game, shoo ng many goals. Junior 1: Our J1s were very impressive again on a brisk Pt Mac morning. A few of our girls had to help out the J2s who were short of players. We were also lucky to have Gracie and Adele help us out when we were short on Saturday. The girls did a fabulous job and all shot beau fully. Lexi and TeKani played par cularly well and have no ceably improved their passing. Ashley and Ma lda were con nually available as passing op ons. Milla was also doing a fabulous job un l she went down with a bloody knee. Enjoy a nice two weeks off li le pies! 13 & Under: A disastrous start, nine goals down at the first break saw us playing “catch up” netball for the remainder of the game. Credit to the girls who did not drop their heads but fought back to go down by just five. A good effort, given that the opposi on had a height advantage all over the court. Really pleased with the way the girls concentrated on their respec ve tasks par cularly in the footwork department, what a great improvement! Ma lda and Molly took out the awards (Penola Recyclable & Maccas) for sterling efforts in defence while Zara received Devine Gi s award. 15 & Under: Great game girls. There were lots of changes, but we all adapted well. We s ll have some areas to work on but overall, we played well. We ended the game strong, we put pressure all the way down the court which allowed turnovers. Shayden (Hungry Jack’s) ran out and played well in C and Keira (Wendy's) showed some strength in GS! Great job, have a res ul 2 weeks off. 17 & Under: What a great challenge you gave to a talented Port Mac side. Gabby stepped up from 15's to combine with Kori in goals. It was good to see Shayden and Molly have a go in 17's also and hold their own and contribute. The defenders worked relessly all game and Soph and Jenna made some lovely passes into the circle. Need

to keep working on always having someone available at all mes. Too many mes the person with the ball was le with no op on to pass too, so as a group this effort has to li to support each other. Really well done on adap ng to lots of changes so our girls playing seniors could get some rest! Best Abby and Kori. B Reserve: A close one - probably best described as inconsistent! Our endeavour can't be ques oned but choosing the right op on and some of our passes certainly needs some work! Maddy (Collins Court Butcher) played a “boomer” while Chelsea “learn as you go” showed her versa lity in a variety of posi ons to get the Boost award. Angie received Devine Gi s award. Special men on to our defence line Gemma (s ll recovering), Emma M and Emma S. B Grade: Kalangadoo come out on the back foot to start the game. 10 goals down at the first break made the Pies make some changes. Imogene ran yet again another strong solid game in the centre while Emily slo ed quickly into defence and created a turnover immediately. The a ack end was struggling with the ght defensive pressure of the Demons. With a week off now everyone to relax and get ready to start up again in the run home to finals. Best players were Emily and Imogene. A Reserve: A Reserve did a phenomenal job with a few key players missing. Thank you girls for being so adaptable and recep ve of our junior players. Maddy and Tegan shot beau fully all day and rarely gave the opposi on a chance for rebounds. Pt Mac had a speedy mid court and made us work hard for possession throughout the game but with a great 1st and 3rd quarter we came away with a solid win. Lucy played smartly all day and assisted Shanae well. Enjoy a nice two weeks off and back into for the end of the season! A Grade: A solid team effort from all players, focusing on our strengths as a team. Great talk all over the court and good to see us con nually pushing ourselves and each other. Thanks to all those that support from the sidelines and bench. I think we are all looking forward to having Jayde back for our next match! Birdie Blue award Soph (great work in C) and Paradise Pizza Kirsty.

Thanks to our major sponsors Laura & Vicki Hairdressing, South East Property Sales, Kimberly Clark Australia, Your Choice Conveyancing, Banner Mitre 10, J&M Shanks Pty Ltd, Sonya Francis Photography, All in Balance - Brad Tilley Tax and Business Advisory, Clark & Sam Fal ng and Komma Media. Junior 2: The girls gave a strong effort despite our early start and long travels. We faced a tough challenge of being 4 players down, but we powered through with the help of some beau ful Junior 1 players and the help of Port Mac who were kind enough to lend us a player as well. Massive shout outs to Indi, Emily and Hannah for helping us. Keep up the work girls, enjoy the weekend off. Junior 1: Girls played an awesome game against Port Mac! We had lots of turnovers and lots of talk out on court. We s ll have lots of things to work on but the girls are always going out there pu ng in the effort and having fun! We had a few missing, but we made it work. Best players went to Wren (Toy Kingdom) and Isabelle (Ackys) - good job girls! 13 & Under: Bad luck girls, not our day and we were beaten by the be er team. When we are under so much pressure we need to se le and get in front and push our passing. We knew this was going be tough game and it’s disappoin ng to see some of you drop your heads, but well done to everyone else for figh ng right to the end. Today will be another tough game so let’s come out firing and improve from this game. Thanks to Stacey for umpiring and Dawn for scoring. Awards went to Denton’s Sportpower - Sabina and Ackys - Sophie. 15 & Under: Well done girls! Super happy with how we played. We are coming to the ball and re-offering, and we are showing great passages of play. Great defence all over the court and keeping the posi ve talk up. Thank you Sam for scoring and Bec for umpiring. Awards went to Macy - Beauty by Hannah, for having a strong and consistent work ethic. Kali - Andy's Bakery for staying strong in the circle when shoo ng, and even playing a quarter of GK. Kodie - Cafe Melzar for re-offering and driving hard to circle to be an op on for our goalies. 17 & Under: We went into this game knowing that it was going to be tough. The girls li ed their energy from the first whistle and was playing the type of netball we know their capable of. We started off the third quarter with a strong 10 goal lead. However, a er some silly mistakes and missed scoring opportuni es, we were playing catch up in the last quarter. We scored a goal on the final whistle to draw the game. Despite not coming away with the win, I am so proud of the girls efforts to li their intensity and get around each other. Thank you Lisa for umpiring and Paul for scoring. The awards went to Mackenzie Job (Millicent Chemist), Jemma Bowering (Beauty by Hannah Fraser) and Makaylah Gregory (Enchanted Beauty). B Reserve: Well done girls, a tough game and we did a great job coming home with the win. It was a tough game from both sides and we need these games and will learn a lot from this. Great defence from Bec and Georgia, taking strong rebounds and pu ng lots

of pressure on Pt Mac’s goalies. Well done to Dawn taking some mely intercep ons, and let’s hope your injury isn't to bad. Karen and Amy combined well in the circle, with some tough defence making you both play in front and shoo ng some great goals. Faith played strong through the middle at C and also when you went into the circle, turning the ball many mes. Hannah leading and driving strong onto the circle feeding our goalies well. Well done to our li le Mozzie Macy coming on in a tough game and playing so well under lots of pressure in the C role. Let’s come out firing today against a tough team in Kalangadoo. Thanks to Madi for umpiring and Wayne for scoring and Ameila for all your support for me on the bench. Awards went to Heaven On A Hanger – Amy and Café Melzar – Karen. B Grade: Another tough game girls. Port Mac came out strong in the first quarter and we found it hard to match their energy. We did well in the second quarter to keep Port Mac’s score down and brought the scores a lot closer. Stacey and Lara got some hard turnovers and fought hard defensively. Abbey stepped up in the first quarter and ran well in the centre. Tess and Jaz both gave centre and WD a go and were able to put a stop to some of the passages of play. Maddi worked consistently all game in WA and fed the circle well. Madi and Lani were able to get some handy goals but relied a li le to heavily on overhead passes. We dipped in for the second half of the game and struggled to find our voice on the court. Thanks to Abbey for taking the court and Macy for si ng bench. Well done to Maddi for receiving the award from Millicent Florist. A Reserve: Great effort, just need to take a breath when we get the ball and se le to make sure we can get it down the other end to reward the efforts of our defensive pressure. Macca and Zoe taking some nice intercepts and combining well in defence. A nice strong game from Maddie holding her own! Enjoy the week off, rest up and hopefully we have some healthy bodies for next round! Huge thank you to Lauren, Maddie and Jarrah, we appreciate all the girls that fill in and help us out to play each week. Awards Kelly and Lauren. Thank you mum for scoring and my right hand lady Raelene, Saturdays wouldn't be possible without you! A Grade: A well fought win that certainly showed our capabili es as a team. Our efforts in the first quarter laid a solid founda on for the game and allowed us to gain control early, something that we have known was important for us to gain and keep momentum. It was a largely a acking game with the match going goal for goal for the majority. Sarah Nulty was named in the best players for her relentless efforts across the match which provided us plenty of movement in our a ack end and resulted in lots of scoring opportuni es. Laura Schultz was also named in the best and had another stellar game working relessly through our mid court and controlling our a acking end. A big thanks to Darren for coaching, Zoe for being primary career, Alan for scoring, and Lisa for umpiring.

Ruby, Macy and Isabella you all had a great game in defence ge ng many rebounds and intercepts, keep it up! 15 & Under: 28-35. Good effort girls. Maloney Plumbing Award went to Alyssa who gave plenty of op ons down the court and in the ring, and combined well with Sienna. Second best went to Tayliah who come back on in the second half of the game and provided spaces and re-offering, thirst for the loose balls and got some hands on some great intercepts. Defence worked hard with many intercepts but we didn't reward with goals on the score board. 28-35. 17 & Under: 24-36. Well girls it certainly was an interes ng game with a 45 minute delay in the 2nd – to the Robe player, Libby we hope you have a speedy recovery and are back on the court soon. Our defensive pressure and blocking in the circle was fantas c. We had so many good moments in the a ack end, all 7 players worked extra hard to come front and lead hard towards the ball which we have been really focusing on over the last few weeks. Let’s all con nue keeping posi ve on the court and keep encouraging each other! DeGaris Lawyers award went to Caitlyn who came out firing right from the start and kept the intensity up the whole game – she had so many clean two handed intercepts! Thank you to Alyssa and Shae for si ng bench. B Reserve: 58-18. Great game girls! It was great to see everyone work well together as a team. The mid court had a few changes throughout the game and everyone adapted well to those changes. There were a few moments where we got sucked into their style of game but once we started to play our way the

NETball club notes game improved. Let’s keep aiming for a strong 4 quarter game each week. Key 2 Sale Award went to Alarna for a strong 4 quarter game and Jasmine for great strength in defence. B Grade: 78-16. Another solid effort girls! As we are drawing closer to the end of season its great to see our combina ons becoming stronger. Dom (Planta on Treated Timber Award) once again shut opponents down from the first whistle and also had some excellent passages of play driving out of defence. Hayley (second best) fed the goalies extremely well, rarely missing an opportunity and also created a lot of voice on court. We welcome Kayla to the team who slo ed in like she'd never le – shoo ng some great goals. Go Murphies! A Reserve: 38-58. Bad luck girls – a really good effort against a very tough experienced team. We started out a bit flat, but then increased the intensity in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to play some good netball and capitalised on our turnovers. Well done girls on breaking their zone when they set it up – it was excellent to see everyone reading off each other and being pa ent. Alyce (B&P Travel & Cruise Award) another good game with your feeding and direc on down the a acking the end. Laura and Abbie – hard day but I felt you both held strong and provided moments as well, we just need to focus on our rebounding down both a acking and defence ends – I feel defence did not posi on ourselves as best we could have. Although we didn't finish well, I thought our game had some great posi ves with our pa ence with each other, backing each other a er chasing loose balls. Good effort girls – hope you enjoyed the break and we will push for a win this week. Second best to Tameka. A Grade: 42-42. Wow what an up and down game. Considering we were down the en re last quarter and managed to pull back to a draw was very pleasing. We had some really good passages but just fell away for parts of the game. It was great to see everyone con nue to fight right un l the end even with many sore bodies on the court. Malinda moved really well in the circle and rebounded strongly earning herself the O'Brien Electrical Award. Thank you to Laura, Alyce and Chelsea for si ng bench for us. There are no easy games for us now so let’s buckle down at training to set ourselves up for finals.

Junior 2: A great team effort against Hatherleigh. So much flow down the court and spreading out which they are ge ng be er at every week. Everyone deserved an award - Shelbi, Lidia and Nevaeh you 3 just keep ge ng be er and stronger every week and I can rely on you all to bring our li le tackers into the game - Georgina your passing is amazing and the more you play WA the be er you are ge ng at finding space. I couldn't pick between Polly, Lexi and Myla so they all got an award. Polly for her listening to get in front and her movement in the circle resul ng in many goals. Lexi for her excep onal defence at GK for such a li le girl she tries 110% ge ng intercepts off much bigger players. Lastly to Myla who improves every week and is nailing her posi on at C. Well done li le Tigers! Junior 1: Great game against Hatherleigh for the girls. All the girls put in so much effort into their posi ons as they always do! I can see the girls have gained so much confidence to chase balls and have contests. Keep up the great work girls, you con nue to amaze me every game. Stella Peters received an award for her amazing determina on chasing balls and great leads. Isabella Weir received an award for her a acking skills in goals and her awesome defence in the ring. 13 & Under: We started the game with majority of our team already played in the 15's. Congrats to the 6 players who played 15's before backing up in their own game. Lucky we had a full team of 10 plus Emie on the bench to be able to rotate and rest. Our defence down the court was fantas c with many intercep ons especially by Astyn, Isabel, Rachael and Alexis. Lani and Jaycie worked hard chasing up loose balls and making endless leads. It was great to see Summah and Peyton put on court some great dodging that we prac ce at trainings. Ebony set up on the ring well and Tamika got 100% accuracy in her shoo ng (including her goals in 15's) so well done. I was really impressed that when we got the ball, we go steady on our feet first before passing and there was not too much crowding on court. You girls are improving so much, keep working hard and you'll con nue to grow. TNC Canteen Award – Jaycie Johnson, KFC Award – Summah Brown. 15 & Under: Not a great start to our day with only 3 players. Luckily our 13's Tamika, Ebony, Lani, Alexis, Isabel and Rachael were ready to help us out. Demi, Kailah and Bethan I am happy with how you guys all met expecta ons of giving the 4 quarters 110%. You had to play posi ons that you do not usually play to fill the spots missing and you adjusted well. I can say at the end of the game you all looked stuffed. As a team we managed to get the ball to our goalies and score a few which is great. Hopefully a er the rest we will have majority of our team back to con nue showing how far we have come and finish the year proud. Sportspower Award – Demi Bevan, KFC Award – Rachael Thwaites. 17 & Under: What a game girls. You all fought hard from the first whistle to ensure you held the lead the en re game. Charlo e and Bella, you two are combining excellently and shoo ng with accuracy each week. Holly and Tay, you two cause some havoc, the pressure you two are able to put on any goalies is fabulous. What ever combina ons we

put on that court get the job down. Last week we rotated our midcourt. Jade and Charli at WD, you two provide great leads out of defence and your pressure was amazing. Ebs through the C, your a acking and defensive pressure is impeccable. Chloe and Megan at WA, you two were able to feed our goalies and find space on the ring. A great game by all 9 of you which resulted in what we needed, the win! We can't wait to see what you girls have got to show for the remainder of the season. Bring it on! B Reserve: What a game girls! First of all a huge thank you to the under 17 girls, Chloe, Jade, Holly and Megan, without you all we wouldn't be able to play. You all stepped up and played a fantas c game. Although we managed to dodge the rain, it was a slippery game out there, with plenty of injury me being used. There were some really great passages of play throughout the game and excellent movement down the court. Best players went to Kimberley Ferguson who not only played a great game in centre, but con nued this when she was thrown into GK and proved that you don't need the height to get the intercepts. Also Tarrah Taylor played another amazing game, domina ng and across court and also proving that you don't have to be tall to play defence. Looking forward to ge ng past the bye to hopefully have a full, healthy side. Go Tiges! B Grade: Well done girls! It felt so good to get back to the type of netball that I know we are capable of playing. Every single player that stepped on the court did their job and executed exactly as I asked. Our defensive combo of Kim, Gemmah and Holly pulled in so many intercepts and rebounds. Ffion did exactly what was asked of her. Alice, Jodie and Demi moved the ball well through the mid court. Kirsty and Bek played another good game together in the goal circle, finishing accurately. It was really hard to pick best players, everyone deserved to be in there for different reasons. Tant 41 d Robe 29. Best players: Kim (Foodland) and Kirsty (Heaven on Hanger). Let's work hard at training to iron out the wrinkles before a few tough games. A Reserve: With a few of our team missing against a strong side we were lucky to be able to use two juniors to fill our team. We may not have got away with the win but you girls played an awesome game. Well done to our defenders who worked hard in defence and the mid court. Well done to our shooters who were up against a couple of tall defenders. Our mid court area was well played and lots of space. Well done girls, it was a great compe ve game. Best: Ella Clarke - Lima and Co voucher and Krystal Redden - Since 56 voucher. A Grade: Another tough game that we ba led out un l the final whistle. A solid team effort again. It's so great to see our team be adaptable to change and power through some really high pressure situa ons. I'm so proud of each and every one of you who stepped out on court, you all held your composure and have such a posi ve vibe toward each other. We know now how tough the last half of the season is going to be so we can't take our foot off the pedal. Let's train hard and keep pushing for that W. Bring on the next one! Best players went to Emma and Izzy.

ROUND 13 A GRADE NETBALL REVIEW Nangwarry 37 lost to Kongorong 54

Pt MacDonnell 43 lost to Mt Burr 50

Both teams came out firing. Ebony Lawson started strong turning the first centre pass but was not able to be converted by Nangwarry's goalies. The young Hawks side played some very smart netball early, u lising Tilah Buckingham's height and lobbing numerous balls into her. Shannon Higgins and Carly Ploenges worked relessly trying to stop the lobs, but Buckingham's height made it too easy for Kate Wright and Tori McIntyre to pass the ball into her with ease. Nangwarry were able to compose themselves with pa ent passing from Kylie Heaver and Hayley Burner and accurate shoo ng from Ange Pra and Tahlia Wilson they were able to get some goals on the board. Going into the first quarter break Kongorong led by 8 goals. Nangwarry knew they needed to make a change to try and curb the easy passing into Buckingham. Burner went back to GK, Higgins to WD and Lawson to C. This change made a huge difference for Nangwarry as the quarter was very even. Kongorong's defenders Riley Buckingham and Sarah Lucas were working hard for their teams trying to stop the run of Pra and Wilson. Riley Buckingham was able to take some handy intercepts down the court to help her team stay in front. Burner and Ploenges worked hard on Tilah Buckingham double teaming her and forcing Ella McIntyre to step up for her team. With many intercepts from Burner and some great driving down the court from Lawson and Heaver, Nangwarry were able to score some goals back. Unfortunately a season ending ankle injury to Tahlia Wilson saw Cassie Dinnison needing to take the court for her second game for the day. This ra led Nangwarry but they were able to find their feet eventually and went into half me bringing the score back closer. No changes to either side at the half me break, with both teams determined to get the win. This quarter saw another very even contest. The Hawks came out firing with an early intercept from Sarah Lucas and some pa ent passing from Tori McIntyre and Kate Wright the Hawks were able to get a jump on the Saints. Dinnison and Pra stepped it up for their team working the ball around the circle well and scoring all opportuni es given to them. Kylie Heaver was having a great ba le with Emily Lightbody but showed her experience as she worked the ball around pa ently. Burner and Ploenges again were having a tough me on Tilah Buckingham trying to curb any lobs into her. Ella McIntyre ran well and became a focal point in the circle for the Hawks scoring with accuracy and helping them extend their lead. The third quarter break saw Kongorong up by 10 goals. In the last quarter Kongorong came out strong turning over Nangwarry's first centre pass and proving they wanted the win. Tilah Buckingham started coming out of the circle more, forcing the Saints defenders to play one on one, making it easier for them to get the ball into their circle. Down the other end Nangwarry's goalies were finding it hard to get the ball into their goal third with any opportuni es picked off by Lucas or Riley Buckingham. Heaver and Lawson kept moving the ball around trying their best to give their goalies any opportunity to convert. Kongorong's midcourt ran the game out well, crea ng space and passing into their goalies with ease. At the end of the game the young Hawks were more determined and finished off the day with a 17 goal win. Final score Nangwarry 37 defeated by Kongorong 54. Best players - Nangwarry: Kylie Heaver, Ange Pra ; Kongorong: Sarah Lucas, Tori McIntyre.

Port MacDonnell hosted well matched Mt Burr in a compe ve game on Saturday. Both teams began the game with high energy and a want for the ball. With Demon Liza Mutch absent, Brooke Williams took the centre and played on the speedy Mozzie, Laura Schultz. Mt Burr's line up has been unse led in past weeks; however, the mid-season addi on of 2021 recruit Sarah Nulty has worked in the Burr's favour. The new, but familiar goalie combo of Nulty and Ebony Clarke worked in sync and were on from the first whistle blow. Port Mac's defensive combo of Belinda O'Dine and Alana Winter worked hard to combat the Mozzies. Mt Burr's on court vocality and energy ra led the Demons, and their impeccable a ack plays held them over the line at the end of the first quarter. Mt Burr led by 7 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw no changes which allowed players to se le into their posi ons. Excellent shoo ng accuracy from both sides limited rebounding opportuni es. Port Mac shooter Kirby Carrison didn't miss for the quarter. Mt Burr defenders Madi Hagge and young Olivia Dean applied great defensive pressure, crea ng many turnovers. Port Mac's court transi on was rela vely smooth, with midcourters Williams and Narelle Lewis gaining lots of the ball. However, the precision of Nulty, Clarke and Meg Fennell challenged the Bay's defence. Schultz and Williams ba led through the centre and were both pivotal players for their teams. Schultz and WD Simone Westerman combined well and made things hard for Port Mac. The Burr worked to build on their lead in the second quarter and led by 10 at half me. Port Mac came out firing at the beginning of the second half, looking to change the game. Both teams were playing great netball that was entertaining to watch. Port Mac's experienced goalie Toni Gilmore took over the shoo ng for the quarter, as Mozzie Dean had Carrison under control. Mt Burr's Schultz was consistent through the middle and was a great leader on court. Port Mac's defence stepped up, as Winter challenged Nulty. A few missed goals from the Burr created rebounding opportuni es for the Bay. Hagge and Dean were consistent for the Burr's defence, and they worked hard to limit the Bay's opportuni es. Both sides were able to score their centres, but the Bay couldn't quite find the turnovers they needed. Mt Burr held their lead by 10 at three quarter me. The final quarter was one to watch as Mt Burr looked to build on their lead, whilst Port Mac tried to close the gap. No posi onal changes were made throughout the game, so players were well se led into their game. Port Mac's Williams and Lewis stepped up their game. Hagge took advantage of a ring Gilmore and took control. A few missed goals from Nulty allowed the Bay's defence to gain crucial rebounds and close the gap slightly. However, Mt Burr were too good for the Bay and ul mately won the game. Best players - Port Mac: Brooke Williams, Alana Winter; Mount Burr: Sarah Nulty, Laura Schultz.

Robe came out firing with some accurate shoo ng from Robe's Halle Carter, not missing a goal for the quarter. Robe's defenders Emma Grant and Georgia Perkins were making it tough for Glencoe's goalies in the ring, making the most of every opportunity for a rebound. The quarter

me score saw Robe up by a goal at quarter me. During the second quarter Glencoe li ed and put pressure on all over the court, with their goalies Malinda Markiewicz and Jenna Paproth rewarding them in the goal ring, with Markiewicz shoo ng 12 games for the quarter, only missing one. Tantanoola 52 def Hatherleigh 51 Hatherleigh won the toss and chose the centre pass which they u lised well through Maddie Pulmer and Abby Wight. A few early errors from the home side saw Hatherleigh take the lead quickly with quick ball movement from Erin Watson and Georgia Hunter into their a ack line. The Tigers took some me to adjust to a different looking a ack like with Isabelle Turner star ng at WA but found the connec on to Emma Gould who shot with accuracy. Despite Hatherleigh turning ball over early the Tigers were able to fight their way back into the contest going into the first break down 1. Neither side made changes going into the second quarter and it was much like the first. Hatherleigh's defenders Tegan Telfer, Lara MacGregor and Demi Vanderhorst worked well together causing havoc for the Tiger's a ack end. Down the other end the Tiger's defenders were also working over me to try and win ball but went in to half me trailing by 2. The premiership quarter didn't disappoint with both sides figh ng hard for every ball. The Tigers had momentum at mes with Tayla Rowe and Kate Bromley pu ng pressure on Hatherleigh's goalies causing a few uncharacteris c misses by them.
